Where to start....I hate dentists (Yes I said it) I have had some pretty hardcore dental treatment…read moreand care since I was 8 years old (yes I was that child). I have had horrible experiences, good experiences, and ok experiences. Needless to say over the years of experience I am like a "Wine Sommelier" of dentists. I found Ken Caryl Dental Center after doing extensive research on dentists in the area. Yes, I had fired my previous dentist (not to be named) in Lone Tree, and was on the hunt. I made a standard teeth cleaning, and dental exam appointment with Dr. Rand to test them out. Might I say it was as close to "Love At First Sight" as it can get. Dr. Rand is an amazing dentist. First off he cares, and if he doesn't he is one heck of an actor and should quit dentistry and move to Hollywood. He takes time to make sure you get what you want. I had a dental implant that was done 10 years ago. I had never put a permanent crown on it, and after gaining some trust with Dr. Rand I mentioned that I would like to start this process. As he began the process he was not comfortable with loading down my implant without an opinion of a perio. Fun fact, the perio who did my implant was still in town and he was able to get ahold of her. After an appointment with her they both gave the recommendation not to load down the current implant. Why waste $1000's of dollars for my permanent crown, and have it fail in a few years? (TOTALLY MY FAULT FOR THE FIRST FAILURE) Needless to say that's when things got complicated! I had my old implant removed (by my perio), bone graft, and new implant placed (4 months later). What does a general dentist have to do with my implant you ask? A lot actually! Due to all of this happening while I was moving halfway across the country my treatment plan needed to be coordinated and differ a little bit from the "Norm". Dr. Rand worked after hours with my perio (Who also got a killer review) on my treatment plan from start to finish. I have never seen two doctors from separate offices work, and communicate like this EVER! From pre-surgery, to surgery, to post surgery everything has worked seamlessly! Did I mention that I don't even live in Denver anymore? That's right I travel back because of the trust I had in my dentists performing this treatment. I will also continue to travel back for all of my treatments and finishing this one. About 10 days after my implant surgery, and not being in Denver I was feeling some looseness in my healing abutment and temporary crown. I called Dr. Rand explained to him over the phone of what was taking place, and he explained what the potential problems could be. Instead of having me travel back he called a dentist in the area I am at that he knew to take a look at me. I must say good dentists must know good dentists because who he sent me to was wonderful to work with (he will also be getting an amazing review). The problem was exactly what Dr. Rand had mentioned and it was taken care of. For him to personally check in on me, and ensure that everything was getting taken care of (after hours) is what I consider above and beyond. I have worked with Dr. Rand the most (hence why I have talked about him), and I am not trying to take anything away from Dr. Goral. The few times I have seen Dr. Goral (when Dr. Rand was out of the office) he has been great as well. I honestly would feel comfortable with either dentist. Enough about dentists let's talk about the office staff and the ladies in the back! You can't get a better office staff then what they have! From the ladies in the front always working to get me treatment plan estimates, scheduling, etc. They always have a smile on, and give you a warm welcome (even with a mask these days). The dental assistants and hygienists In the back are just as good. They truly listen, care, and are amazing. I might add I have never once had a bad experience in this office. I think it might be time Dr. Rand and Dr. Goral look at some good raises or bonuses for these ladies (Y'all can thank me later).

Dr. Rand takes the time to explain to you everything he is doing while he is doing it. He never blames you for having cavities or makes you feel bad. He then berated me for being too poor to make him face the consequences for his inadequate care. Keep in mind this is after doing a crown that wasn't correctly installed and demanding I get insurance to help pay for an expensive procedure I didn't need. On the bright side he did send me a refund for the work that needs to be done correctly so there is that. This business is predatory, untrustworthy and they will not take accountability for their mistakes. My current dentist says that I'll need to get the crown replaced and told me four months ago that it is bizarre that dr Harmon provides such a substandard level of care. Go to Denver health, it's cheaper and they guarantee their work.

Holly Dental - Dr. Nielson Review…read more I hate leaving bad reviews, but my experience at Holly Dental has been nothing short of a nightmare. Three weeks ago, I had two fillings done--one on the front bottom right and another in the back bottom right. As soon as the Novocaine wore off, I was in severe pain, which was completely unexpected since I've had many fillings in the past without any issues. For three days, I was popping ibuprofen every eight hours just to manage the pain. It was unbearable! I finally went back to Dr. Nielson, who told me I had a gum infection from the numbing shot and prescribed antibiotics. However, even after finishing the antibiotics, the pain persisted. Dr. Nielson then referred me to an endodontist to rule out the need for a root canal. Thankfully, all the tests came back negative, so no root canal was necessary. But here I am, still dealing with pain in my right ear and jaw, which sometimes radiates down my neck. To make matters worse, the area behind my right bottom teeth is swollen every morning. I've attached a picture taken just one week after the fillings, showing clear damage to my gums. I expected a routine dental procedure to be just that--routine. Instead, I've been left in constant discomfort and frustration. I can't recommend Holly Dental based on my experience. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

Made my first appointment yesterday by phone, and their front desk lady was extremely polite and very helpful; she took my insurance information and was able to schedule an appointment on the same day! When I got there, I was promptly assisted and didn't have to wait (like all practices I've been), got X-rays done really quickly and no pain at all. Then Dr. Morris came by, analyzed all X-rays double checked and explained what has to be done. I'm literally a chicken when it comes to dentistry, but here, I felt comfortable and Dr. Morris made sure I was 100% confident about all procedures. My search is over!

But seriously, the environment here is just that comfortable. Something that really stood out to me was the organization of the office staff. They've got it together and go out of the way to make the process easy for you. As an example, I had some issues with one of my dental insurance carriers in filing reimbursement paperwork. Dr. Morris's staff pursued them diligently - long after I had simply forgotten about it - and made sure our claims were paid. Then went on to tell me her ex-husband has something to do with the nuggets and he plays games with their children. BOTTOM LINE, INCREDIBLY INAPPROPRIATE. Then the "dentist" came in to tell me I have bone recession. I went to two periodontists after the appointment. One in Phoenix at Biltmore Dentistry, Twin Rivers in Jax, and one in West Palm Beach. All of which told me Scavuzzo was misinformed and did not have the education to be speaking on the matter. When I went to pay the receptionist, who was already in need of some help with her interpersonal skills, tried to sell me on the dental insurance they want you to sign up for. It's a scam. She then tried to act like I would be a moron to not get the insurance. I'm not sure if she understood that her BS might work on the average clientele but she came off like a pathetic idiot trying to pedal more garbage. She's not a sales person, she's not charismatic, she isn't even a decent human being. I wouldn't engage with her if I wasn't required to. I walked in and I witnessed the receptionist pushing a woman to her financial limit, and sobbing, by suggesting she needed the dental plan for her son to get treatment. Or they couldn't move forward. DISGUSTING! Avoid this s***hole at all costs. Oh yeah, the cleaning sucked. Quality of care is non-existent when your hygienist spends more time pushing MAGA propaganda and talking about her mess of a life rather than doing her job.

I was highly anxious about going to the dentist again, and very concerned about the cost. I saw Dr. LePera and she was terrific. She recommended a much more conservative course of treatment for my dental issues than a dentist with a flashy office in Denver, and also set up a plan and pricing so that I could address immediate needs and identify which could wait the longest. Dr. Belegratis took out my wisdom teeth only a week and a half ago and even though this sounds weird, it was a really positive experience. They were so professional and considerate and I felt more tired afterward than any pain. The staff there is friendly and incredibly considerate. I've also had my teeth cleaned there and all the hygienists are amazing. This is SUCH a great office for someone who has lots of anxiety about going, or is afraid of the pain of treatment. They are always willing to talk it through and work to proactively make you comfortable and happy while you're there - small things like noise-cancelling headphones with music from your own phone or ipad, or big things like making sure you have the right amount of anesthesia. Even the waiting room is designed to relax you, it's a little generic but the lighting is low and the temperature comfortable. I have now convinced several of my dentist-phobic friends to go there (and several of them to get dental insurance, which Greenwood accepts). I only wish I'd known about them sooner! I can't imagine I'll ever go anywhere else.

Sadly, Dr Vogl is a FAKE and a thief! My husband and I are still traumatized by the terrible work he did on my husband's teeth. He needed implants and Dr Vogl tore out a bunch of his teeth, sent him away bleeding and didn't call in needed prescriptions to the pharmacy. We spent at least $20k there and ended up with nothing but trauma, pain and debt. We've since found a new dentist who's done beautiful work with the implants and we're thankful for that. I could go on about the other shoddy work they did on me and my mom. Suffice to say, PLEASE steer clear of this place. They'll rob you blind and you'll end up in worse shape than when you went in.

I have been going to see Dr. De La Paz for a few months now and I waited to write her a review until I had all of thoughts together. After several visits on my own, my mom decided to give her a try too after hearing how comfortable she's made me. I have to tell you that going to the dentist is probably one of my least favorite things to do but Dr. D makes it really easy. Her team works BEAUTIFULLY together and the staff members really treat each other like family which makes you feel extra comfortable in place you don't really want to be. Bring your checkbook or cash to save yourself the credit card fees. They offer an in-house plan that gets you your cleanings, and a discount on services which works well for those without dental insurance. They're a clean office with a team of people who genuinely care about you. I don't say this lightly; they really do care. You just have to go for yourself to see what I'm talking about but I don't think you will be disappointed. I sure wasn't. Since this practice sold, I have seen a different hygienist every time. Two are no longer there.Two…read moreyears without gum measurements and then suddenly I'm told I need a deep cleaning. And there is the office person with print outs of costs. No cleaning done. Completed a survey about the visit including rough exam with poking my gum and lip. No one contacted me about the. negative survey. Went to another dentist for a second opinion and gum measures. No 5s whatsoever! Do not need a deep cleaning! Leaving this office as have my daughter and son in law due to "upselling " unnecessary procedures. Beware!
