At first, I was really happy. The hygienist did a fantastic and thorough job cleaning my teeth. Then, without any X-Rays, I was told that I had several cavities. I was very suspicious of this for various reasons, mainly because there were no X-Rays to support this. I went to another local dentist and got a second opinion and the second opinion said that I have no cavities! If you go here, definitely get a few other opinions before you have any drilling done to your teeth! read more

At my last visit I had four molar crowns applied. Following that visit chewing food is a real problem. With each bite down on food comes a sharp pain where the crowns were applied. I was scheduled for addition crowns in January, but given the result of the completed crown work, I have canceled the appointment due to the lack of confidence in Capstone dental practice. read more

Dr. Kempers is awesome. He's honest, straight forward and does great work. Here's my previous experience to give you some perspective. I hate the dentist. Back in 2008 I went to a new dentist, Comfort Dental in Cherry Creek. They used my mouth as a gold mine for their practice. After hardly having ANY cavities growing up, all of a sudden I had 6 cavities and needed a crown. When I first spoke with Comfort Dental, the price was $1200, after all was said and done I paid $2400 and that was with insurance!!! A year later my crown came off. In my spite for dentists I refused to go back so I had cleaned my own tooth and used grocery store crown glue to make due. After nearly 3 years of re-gluing it myself about every 3 months, my mom talked me into using their dentist. Again my distrust of dentists made me a pretty negative patient to work with. After seeing Dr.Kempers, I've changed my opinion on dentists. He's great, he was honest and fixed my crown for less than $100. I also have dental discount program called Ameriplan which his office honors and is a great deal. Dr. Kempers did not point out all the work needed in my mouth in fact he mentioned that the fact i hadn't gotten a cleaning in 4 years was probably the most important thing I needed. Beyond that he told me my teeth were very good, I could always floss more (but who couldn't) and also mentioned that unless my tooth is painful I can probably go on with more fillings or crowns. Again I highly recommend Dr. Kempers for his honesty and good work, he's fixed my crown and it feel better than it ever did with my previous dentist. read more

I didn't even feel the shot... I'm usually nervous during a dental appointment but the doctor and staff put me at ease. The front desk staff know you by name and you become family through your interaction. You want for someone to care for you, your health, both dental and overall. Dr. Kempers is such an honest dentist. I went to another dentist in Parker and my children were told they had many cavities. I met someone who liked Dr. Kempers and thought I'd get a second opinion. Guess what? My kids had NO cavities and 3 years later, they still don't. He's a pretty quiet, not very talkative guy, but don't let that throw you off. Pam at the front desk is an awesome lady and she's very talkative. I'll always go back to Dr. Kempers because he's so honest. read more

It's past midnight and I am still trying to calm my Daughter from a horrid experience with dental hygienist Penny. My Daughter is crying saying she feels bad about herself and her teeth. We were summoned in 20 minutes past our appointment time. I dreaded when I saw she was the one doing the cleaning today. I have had her before and she is condescending, rough with her cleaning, not very through, and has horrible chair side manner. Once my Daughter was in the chair she scraped for about two teeth for about a minute then proceed to do the rest of the "cleaning" with what looked like a water pick. My Daughter has braces and I specifically asked for the special attachment the male hygienist had used previously - she claimed they had no such tool even though I commented on it the previous time. I asked a few more questions and she was more and more condescending. She then called me over to look at her finding then asked her what "that" and Penny said "oh that's plaque" the scraped "some of it away" LEAVING the rest of the teeth "problem area" covered in it - uhh, I thought that is what we came in for not a glorified water pick treatment. She then flossed a mere two teeth and I saw my Daughters head jerk as she yanked the floss out as if the floss was hung up on one of her orthodontic brackets - then she did it AGAIN. Then she proceeded to tell my Daughter how she has spots on her bottom teeth and all other manner of how awful her teeth were - my Daughter has braces and does the best she can. Penny was also heavy handed and leaned on the upper lip causing the braces to be driven into the inside of my Daughter's upper lip. NEVER have I had a dental hygienist pretend to be a dentist nor give any diagnostic information directly to a child. After watching her rough treatment, I just wanted to get out of there, I told her to finish what she was doing as we were now done Penny ignored me and continued to frighten my Daughter more by telling her how whatever she saw would spread. This obviously made me very mad - not sure what part of we are done and leaving was confusing to her. Eventually Dr. Kempers made his way over and Penny disappeared in the back with the other two hygienists to talk about me, you could clearly hear her telling the others "then she said...." I told Dr. Kempers that I prefer diagnosis from a DOCTOR not the hygienist and such information should be told to me NOT my minor child. There was no way I was letting Penny anywhere near my Daughter so before the treatment was finished I took my Daughter out of the chair and removed the bib and we got out of there.... my Daughter thanked me for doing that as she said her braces were being driven into the inside of her mouth from Penny leaning her hand on her mouth while cleaning and that she was in pain. The fact that this practice allows a wanna-be dentist expanded function dental hygienist belittle patients, disregard my request that she finish whatever she was doing as I did not want her to continue, then permit your staff to gather and cackle about me is unacceptable and unprofessional. I had planned to go back for a dental implant, crown, and a few other small things but there is no way I would ever go back there neither will my Daughter or other family members I have recommended. read more
