General Rental Center is woefully located on a road that is accessible only via the Waffle House parking lot (or a hidden-ish dirt road off Christian, about 1/5 a mile ahead). I greeted the front desk guy and told him I was interested in some glassware rentals for the weekend. I'd looked at the website in advance, so had an idea of what I wanted; at the Center, I got to look at them in person and confirm. The really cool thing is that they don't charge an extra fee for splitting a rack (competitors I looked at will charge you $5 to do this). They also said I could pick up anytime Friday, instead of having to get them Saturday. AND I didn't even have to pay a deposit or sign any paperwork. I mean, I did only rent a total of 50 pieces; but I've worked with rental operations before, and I have to say GRC's flexibility is really awesome. On top of that, the guy who helped me was exceptionally personable and made one of today's "chores" a pleasure!

I have never rented party equipment before & had no idea what size tent I might need or the best number of tables for the type of party I wanted to pull off. In addition to their detailed website (including clearly listed prices), Susan provided no-nonsense, excellent input into what I would need without overselling to me. I was going to go with a frame tent, but she pointed me to the pole tent - that worked great & saved me money (about $200). She provided helpful options & didn't suggest/push more than what I needed. They shared clear information throughout the whole process. They provided a quick, clear quote verbally & then in writing, with updates as I added linens (because I had saved money on the tent) & more chairs (for use outside the tent around property). They confirmed everything the Wednesday before the party (held Sat), including an hour delivery window - an hour only! No waiting around half the day - and they delivered it Friday, so I could begin layout & decorating early! They delivered as promised. Once erected, they were not happy with the cleanliness of the tent (I was alright with it) - so he took time & great care to wash it inside & out. It looked (and smelled) fabulous afterwards. The drive wasn't bad and it was very easy to located. Parking was a breeze and there was overflow as well. We were greeted by a staff member upon entered the main building that houses ice cream, drinks, local artisan work for purchase, and hemp products. Everything was neatly labeled, the space was nicely arranged to allow for easy shopping, as well it was very clean and clutter free. We were informed that on Saturdays they had like an adult themed gathering with music, food (provided by a local food truck), and drinks. We decided to come back and check it out. So glad we did! We arrived that Saturday around 8pm. Parking again was easy. The event was put together very well - with the food truck located right beside the building. You were able to purchase your food, get something from the shop, and find a seat outside to enjoy the evening. The music was great. The people were awesome - good convo and they had UNO going for those that wanted to play. We got to meet the owner and his wife. That was a joy as we got to learn more about the farm and their vision. Overall, we are excited to adventure back for other events.
