Been going here for years. Hard to trust just mechanic, and I've been to a lot, but I trust the employees here. The prices really can't be beat. Oil changes less than $40. A lifetime alignment deal that pays for itself in no time. $9.99 to look the car over for anything concerning. TV, refreshments, a big lounge, bathrooms and the mall near by. Can't ask for more. They are accommodating, knowledgeable, honest, and helpful. I highly recommend them. read more

Ricardo and Jay were very nice and helpful. The did their best with discounts. But they put me on a making list when I asked them not to. Now that data broker shared my personal information that puts my safety in jeopardy. Firestone makes it difficult to opt out. I'm very disappointed and now I have to pay a company to try to scrub the internet of personal information. And already I am getting spammed. read more

Tried to take advantage of me, maybe becaise I am a woman. Quoted me, in writing, over $4,000. to fix my brakes. I immediately drove over to inspect the parts they said . The master cylinder was like new also like new the brake calipers pads and rotors were all new all of which they had said they needed to replace over $4000. Meanwhile, they had actually completely missed what the real problem was, which was stemming from the antilock system. I had it fixed elsewhere, literally just down the street and the total cost was $332. keep an eye open and keep your ears open. I took my vehicle into Firestone for a simple spark plug replacement on July 3rd. What should have been a routine service turned into a months-long nightmare that ended with my car leaving on a tow truck instead of being safely driven home. After the work was completed, my vehicle began misfiring badly. Firestone refused to take responsibility and insisted the issue had nothing to do with their repair. I had to take my car to another repair shop, where they immediately discovered the real cause: Firestone had left a plastic zip tie inside my cylinder, directly causing the misfire and damage. This was not a coincidence--it was a direct result of their work. Despite clear proof, Firestone still refused to take accountability. Communication was slow, unhelpful, and dismissive. I was left without proper transportation, stuck with a broken vehicle, and forced to fight for months just to be heard. Only after I escalated the issue and contacted the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) of California did Firestone finally cooperate. Four months later--in November--I finally received a refund. No apology. No accountability until a government agency got involved. WARNING TO OTHERS: If Firestone makes a mistake, do not expect them to immediately own it. Document everything. Get a second opinion. And if you're being ignored or dismissed, contact the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) right away. This could have been handled quickly and professionally. Instead, it became one of the most stressful and financially draining experiences I've ever had with an auto shop. I will never return, and I strongly caution others before trusting them with their vehicle. read more

These guys were very helpful to me with a tire issue on my RV. Low tire pressure on an RV is risky business and they helped me get up and running when I couldn't get the gas station air pumps to do the job. Thanks guys read more

The service was great and the price for the tires I bought were a really good price. When I did call to find the price of the tires for my car, Brandon help me over the phone about the best tires and promotion they had. He gave me a quote over the phone and I did the appointment. It took only about two hours for the whole service and I got four new tires for my car plus they have free rotation service. If you go this location I will definitely recommend Brandon, he was attentive and professional. read more

They checked my tire pressure and filled my tires for free! So nice! :) I asked to pay and they said no.

I recommend this specific Firestone location to every family member and friend because of the staff. Ricardo knows my husband well and is always so personable. Daniel is very sweet and efficient. Ralph is very knowledgeable and professional and Erick is so patient and kind. They all go above and beyond every time we take one of our cars to them. They aren't pushy salesmen and are upfront about all costs and what repairs are more urgent than others. Thanks guys! Keep up the great work! read more

Service is horrible. I made an appointment for 11am, for an oil change and assumed since I made an appointment it was secured that I would be helped accordingly to the time I booked. So I left and waited for them to call me while I shopped at the mall. I came back 3 hours later assuming they might have forgotten to call me that my car was ready. I walk in and they still hadn't taken my car in. Every time I tried talking to the worker he'd walk to the back shop area. This is unacceptable/ unprofessional that there was no communication whatsoever was in the time frame. I had to pick up my kids from school assuming I would be out before 1:30. I was not out. Until 2pm. My biggest issues is the lack of communication if they were short staffed they could've communicated and I would came after work with my kids. Price point is affordable but at what cost of having to leave my kids at school later than they had to be in the office waiting. I personally won't recommend this place to anyone unless they have unlimited free time. Then whoever was in charge that day was very unapologetic and rude. read more

Took my car in yesterday on June 3, 2025. Needed repairs on a sensor for tire pressure. For me an important thing to have a message pop-up that lets you know your tires are going flat. Ralph and Danny both assisted me, and let me know that they would do their best to get it done quickly. I went shopping for a bit came back and my car was done. they worked with efficiency and had all the knowledge necessary to advise me on what I needed done for my car. They had given me a quote when I left, but when I got back, it was $50 lower than what they first had quoted! I always go to Firestone because I know that I can trust them and they get the job done quickly! Thanks, Ralph and Danny for everything. I know I can always depend on you guys! read more

I carried in four loose tires to be mounted on four wheels, something most tire shops don't like to do as they can't get their standard "sell you tires" markup. But the team at Firestone by the Oaks Mall were nothing but smiles. They took excellent care of my wheels, gave me a great price (undercutting the competition), treated me professionally, and let me know when they were done. I was disappointed with this shop a decade ago. But I am glad I returned and gave them another chance because today's team is great! read more

Daniel and his team were awesome! Got my trailer tires mounted quickly and were communities the whole time so I didn't waste time waiting. Everything was clean and spotless at pick up. Anyone doing trailer tires I highly recommend coming here. Ample amount of room to drop off your trailer also. Thank you, Daniel! read more

I had a screw in my tire and showed up at Firestone Complete Auto Care late in the day--almost at closing time--on the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend. Honestly, I wouldn't have blamed them if they turned me away, but instead, Ralph, took care of the issue right away and Ryan did a great job at repairing my tire. The team was professional, efficient, and kind, even during what must have been a hectic time. I really appreciated their willingness to help when they could have easily said no. That kind of customer service is rare and deserves recognition. Thank you! read more

What a frustrating experience. I called, explained the diagnosis I had on the car, and made an appointment with their specialist. I was there for four hours before my car was even looked at. So frustrating. In the end, I had to come back another day because they didn't have the part on hand. The part I specifically said was needed. Came back a few days later with another appointment, and they were able to fix the issue. This is the first disappointing experience with Firestone. Will be back, but probably to a different location. read more

I had been a customer at this location with other vehicles, but it had been a while with our current vehicles, because service was included with the purchase of these vehicles. Anyway, returned recently with my vehicle and was very glad to find that the service was as good as always. Never confirmed my appointment, called and left me on hold for 30 mins , all I needed was a yes or no. All good I'll go else where

Stopped at this location en route to Santa Barbara to see my college kid. My tire pressure lights came on and I was traveling solo. I called the store for help as my navigation system was giving me incorrect directions. Ricardo answered and took time to explain and guide me to the location. I was assisted within a few minutes after arrival. My tires were checked and I was told there was a possible puncture in a back tire. My estimated wait time was one hour. The waiting area is spacious, clean and comfortable. Customer service was great and I was able to get back on the road within the hour. read more

This is absolutely the worst place to go for anything other than tires. We had an appointment at 10a for a simple oil change. Four plus hours later, and being repeatedly being told we were next, we showed up to pick the car up at 2:30p, as told to do so, and once we got there, again we were the next in line. I cancelled the service, Ralph, and will never visit this store again. Very disappointed and will never use their service again. read more

Firestone Complete Auto Care were courteous and professional I will definitely come back to get all my cars care.

I have had 5 to 7 sets of tires mounted at this Firestone and they have always done a great job. I usually just bring in the wheels and tires separately from the car, but they have never damaged the wheels and have successfully installed a set of tubes with a pair of race slicks as well (some shops have no experience installing tubes these days). I had been going somewhere else previously until that shop damaged a set of expensive wheels during the mounting process. That is when I switched over to this Firestone and they have been great. Plus the staff has always been friendly, courteous, and professional. read more

I recently went to Firestone Thousand Oaks to get a brake inspection. I decide to get a second opinion but they declined the service due my lug nuts being stripped. ( FYI about 1 month I put new tires and rims). I went back to the place where I got my tires and rims. And they told me whoever did my last work used the wrong lug nuts. All four rims where scratched and had the wrong lug nuts. This is extremely frustrating due to the fact that They stretched my brand new rims. Obviously they don't know what they are doing. I don't understand how they could of mess up my rims like this. They are extremely careless with their work. They wasted my time for horrible service. I would never recommend this place to anybody. The place where I got my tires/rims showed me the amount of pressure needed to apply the wrong lug nuts vs the correct ones. It was pretty obvious that they were the wrong ones. read more

I've been here three times and each time the folks at Firestone Complete Auto Care Thousand Oaks took great care of me and my vehicle. First time was earlier this year when I came in for an Oil Change. Ricardo was super communicative from start to finish - no surprises in service, pricing, etc. I dropped off my car and got the call when it was completed. Second time was when I locked my keys in my trunk. My Corolla has some trunk issues where I can only open with my main car key. I gave Firestone a call and Zane immediately put me at ease and said he'd be down to take a look. Not only did he help me jiggle my way out of this predicament, he took the time to inspect the problem and sprayed some product to hopefully result in a smoother trunk experience. Third time was this afternoon - apparently my tire pressure warning came up after a cold night outside and Zane helped me top it off and made sure for four tires were good to go. These guys really treat you like family and I will be returning for all my future car/oil change needs in the future. Thank you Zane, Ricardo, Firestone! read more

Josh is the absolute MAN. Thank you so so so much for your generous customer service during a stressful time! I called this shop on a Sunday afternoon when I realized that one of my tires went flat overnight. This is one of the few repair shops in the area that's open for a long time on Sundays (they don't close until 6 p.m.) let alone open on Sundays at all, so that alone was a godsend. They got me an appointment for 4 p.m. and quoted me over the phone with the very minimal car info I was able to give (I didn't know my tire size and was away from my vehicle when I called initially). $200 for two replacement rear tires, as I wanted to replace both back ones. When I dropped the car off, Josh told me it'd be a few hours and they'd call me when the replacement was done. The paperwork actually had $250 as the estimated cost, which I was still fine with because I was getting this handled relatively quickly on a Sunday evening. At 5:30, I still hadn't gotten a call, but figured it was about ready before closing, so I showed up and Josh did have it ready just as I walked in, and when I went to pay, he told me he'd gotten the price down to $175 for both tires and all of the labor involved. I was so grateful! They're efficient lifesavers at this Firestone location, Josh especially. Thank you so much for helping a totally helpless car owner like myself and for doing so honestly and so generously. read more

It's my own fault, but I've been taking my cars there for a number of years and complaining for doing so. You could drive a brand-spanking new car to their shop from a new car dealer 2 miles away and they will find $500 in repairs you need. As a family, we stopped bringing our cars there. We just don't feel they are honest and they are certainly not efficient. Often experienced very long wait times just to see an "advisor". Sometimes just crazy waits. Then they'll tell you your car will be ready at 3:00 PM but it's more likely ready at 5:30 or 6:00 PM or at closing. Also, I don't believe they are on the up-and-up. I asked for a quote on an oil change for my European car and got a number of quotes within 5 minutes. It was nuts! I said never mind. They seem like the type of shop that give all auto mechanics a bad rap. Just my opinion. They are open 7 days a week which is very nice. And I agree with a previous Yelper. Josh there is a good guy. Dealt with him many times. Friendly and has great follow-through. read more

The service rep or cashier at the front refuses to put standard oil in my car. There is nothing saying synthetic is required but they want you to pay them more so they tried to sell me on a higher priced oil change. Don't come here if you don't want to get ripped off by people that only know how to do the work and not knowledgeable about actual mechanics. read more

In the past two years, this Firestone replaced my tires and did rear and front brakes. I have discovered they: 1) Failed to balance one of the four new tires they put on (took it back and they did it); most people would have never noticed that it was not done and the tire would have worn prematurely. 2) Forgot to put a tire cap on one new tire (acceptable mistake--I took it back and they put it on) 3) Stripped the wheel bolt/nut on one rear wheel (took to dealer to replace bolt and nut) 4) Stripped the wheel bolt/nut on one front wheel (took to dealer to replace) 5) Put the front brake pads on upside down (dealer discovered the error) Fixes cost me $161. Lesson learned: Everyone makes mistakes, but I will never go back to this shop. I can't trust their work. read more

I am so grateful for these guys at Firestone auto, they went above and beyond to help me when I was in a real pinch. My car's battery died and I was starting to panic because it was getting dark and the person I was talking to with the roadside assistance program that I paid extra for when I bought my car was giving me a hard time. I happened to look up and noticed that firestone was within walking distance so I decided to take a chance on them instead of dealing with roadside assistance. One of the employees walked to my car to give it a jump (my car broke down quite a distance away from the business) and then they changed my battery for me, no problem at all. The employees were extremely nice throughout the whole situation. Highly recommend this business! read more
