Yesterday I ran over a metal rod on the freeway and I had two flat tires and two messed up rims. I looked at the clock and all tire locations were closing in 20 minutes. I called this America's tire location and they were willing to stay open a little bit later just help me out. I got my car towed over there. They replaced both tires, and I also upgraded all of my rims in the matter of 20 minutes. This is the only time I've ever gone to a tire place where they were able to do such a fast turnaround time. Not only that but because I had America's Tire insurance upgrade from before, the value of the replacement didn't break the bank. The people who helped me was Joseph, Omar, Jeffrey and Ivan. Dealing with Harley is super cool because he knows the product and will be the first to tell you what the best bang for the buck is even if it's not the most expensive He will also check for rebates and ask you about how you drive to select the best match. The technicians are awesome and show the hard work that is involved in doing the job. There 8s a great viewing windows where they encourage you to watch. 1-Star Review - Be Cautious and Protect Your Time We have purchased tires from American Tires before, and even though they're more expensive than other places, we didn't do much research the first time around. Looking back, the tires didn't seem to last as long as they should have, and something always felt off about how they were installed. Because of that, the second time around we chose not to replace my husband's Tesla tires with them. Fast-forward to recently: I got a nail in one of my tires. We called ahead and were told they offer free repairs/patches. Great. I went in, they looked at the tire, and said yes they could repair it. I have two small children, so my time is extremely valuable. When they told me to come back, I assumed the tire was already being worked on. When I returned, I found out they weren't repairing it at all instead they tried to sell me a new tire, saying it couldn't be fixed. Let me add: when I first arrived, they had already tried to upsell me windshield wipers and quoted me for new tires. I told them I'd speak to my husband about it. So when I came back and they suddenly "couldn't" repair a tire they previously said they could repair, it felt very much like a bait-and-switch. If a tire can't be repaired, just say that upfront. Don't have a mom with kids wait 45 minutes to an hour thinking the work is being done, only to use the time to push a sale. It felt like the entire "free repair" is simply a tactic to get people through the door so they can upsell tires and services. While waiting for them to simply put my unrepaired tire back on, another customer walked in from one of their other locations because their tires weren't installed properly and kept losing air. That was yet another red flag and confirmed I'm not the only one experiencing issues. They were polite enough, but the lack of honesty, the pushiness, and the disregard for customers' time is unacceptable. Please don't be fooled this place will waste your time and try to upsell you on tires and extras instead of providing the service they promise. We had an appointment for our tire order at 10:15. Since they were extremely busy and behind on their appointments, we had to wait for about an hour and a half . The staff were polite and kept us consistently updated on our status ! They even allowed us to bring our puppy into the store and out of the heat. The place is always clean, open, and the bathrooms were immaculate! Their prices are fair and competitive. Honestly, they were priced almost the same as our last tires we purchased years ago. They get super busy sometimes & the front parking lot can be a bit hectic but the guys who work here are SO nice & helpful that it makes frustrations of having to get tire service a lot easier to handle. I have a rental car that got a flat. After first being sent to a competitor over the weekend that shall not be named here, who could not get the authorization (and left me waiting for three hours on a Saturday before telling me) I then was told by local enterprise during a week day in Thousand Oaks to go to America's tires. These guys were so terrific. Customer service was truly outstanding-I cannot speak to pricing as the rental company paid for the tire but working with them was so easy and the person I worked with promised and was true to his word that I would have my tire replaced before the end of the day. These guys always fix what's wrong, and they're honest. I've had people try to upsell or exaggerate with me when it comes to cars, but never here. I always leave with a better value than I saw online, knowing more about what I bought than I did when I went in. These guys were great. A very ungrateful friend blew a tire on her way home to LA. Of course I got the call. Over the course of 3 days I made the trip from Ventura to Moorpark Rd in TO.4 times. I bought a new jack and tire iron. I moved her car from the shell gas station on the corner because the owner said he'd have it towed. (That reminds me, i need to write a review for that ass). It wasn't in his way and it was out of sight. Guy is a total jerk. I took the wheel off. Took it to the boys at America's and 15 minutes later I'm putting a new tire on her car. The staff at this location was absolutely fantastic. Blew a tire on the fwy and they got me in for a change - I bought my current set at a different location and the insurance is worth getting!! Cost near nothing for the new tire (old one was not repairable). They didn't have one in stock so they gave me a loaner spare for the next 24 hours until they got my tire in. Even though I dropped in I was out in an hour! Went back to swap theirs out for my new one and was in and out in under 30 minutes (thanks to making an appt!). These guys made everything easy and smooth and even had smiles and kind words for customers while being swamped (I had to double park bc their lot was full!). Super helpful friendly group of guys. I have used America's tire in Thousand Oaks for years however today's treatment went far above and beyond. I ran over a screw last night and it's in a location that's not repairable. Because my vehicle is an AWD Subaru, it is recommended to replace all four tires instead of just the one or even two. The tires are not even close to being worn out, which makes this recommendation even harder to swallow. After calling a few friends to get their advice, I decided to go along with the recommendation to replace all four. I then got totally stressed out because of finances and having to put out this expense 5 days before Christmas. The clerk was so compassionate and kind and was able to apply the online discount for me. I have not seen or felt this type of personalized caring in a very, very long time. Never never never again. I am a super loyal client and brought a few my family cars here for tires. May 2024 bought a front tire and had to replace for a bubble. And need to replace my one other tire. I ended up ordering 4 new tires (almost $1800) no discounts, Conrad for the front tire because they WONT guarantee their work unless we spend more money and get insurance. Took 2 weeks to order. Every time I would call they said it's on its way but would t track it or tell me it's going to take two weeks. I had no car for two weeks. I called big brand tire and they had it available but wanted to give them another chance. And they still didn't have the tire. Two weeks they kept telling me it's coming so I would take my service somewhere else. Today I dropped my car off and said be back by 4 to pick it up. I'm here at 5:45 they didn't have it ready and now waiting 30 minutes to be done!!! I'm left early from work to get here. Losers and no care about peoples time and money. I wanted to take this time to post about Nathan and the crew here at America's Tire. After a long day of work, I got in my car and unfortunately noticed my tire was completely flat (must've ran over a nail at some point on my way to work). It was about 5:56pm when I made this discovery and called America's tire to see if I could bring it in to be patched. I did not know they were closing at 6pm. I spoke to Nathan and informed him of my situation and instead of telling me he was closing and "good luck", Nathan GOT IN HIS CAR, drove to me and put my spare tire on so that I wouldn't be stranded. He then had me come the next day where the rest of the crew took good care of me and replaced my tire. I'm confident in saying that no one else would've done this for me, this location is filled with good people , and they will have a customer for life because of this. My husband went to get a patch on my tire. It had large metal piece. Tires were still good. Guy told him they can't patch based on their standards. He tried selling him a $300 tire. These are the same people who also broke both of our tire pressure indicators on 2 different cars and 2 with dif model cars, trying to tell us that the sensor malfunctioned. So, today my husband went and took my car into Tireman off T.O. Blvd they took 2 metal pieces and patched my tire for free. Guy also said I have another 2 more years or more on my tires. They told my husband, that they serve the community and they all work here in ThousandOaks. They are honest. Busy, but honest with integrity.
