I'd like to share my recent experience with Firestone Complete Auto Care at this location, and unfortunately, it has been deeply disappointing. Work Order: 221838 Initial Diagnostic: A/C blowing hot air due to a leak Recommended Resolution: Remove and replace A/C compressor, then recharge Outcome: Not resolved Despite four separate visits, the issue remains exactly the same as the A/C still blows hot air. After so many attempts, I asked if I could receive a refund, and I was given two options: 1) Bring the car back again 2) Submit a claim I chose to submit a claim because, after four unsuccessful attempts, I no longer felt confident returning to the same shop. The claim has been submitted, and I am now waiting for a call from the inspector. I also had to contact Firestone Customer Service myself to obtain the claim number, as it was not provided to me by the shop. I understand that mechanical issues can be complex, but customer service should never be compromised. This experience has left me frustrated, inconvenienced, and without a functioning A/C system despite the time and money invested. read more

I took my car to Firestone today after another shop tried to tell me my tire couldn't be fixed and pushed me to buy a new one. My tire had a hole dead center, so I wanted a second opinion. I didn't mention anything about what the other place had told me because I wanted an honest assessment. Joe was amazing. He took one look at it and fixed the tire with no problem at all. No upsell, no pressure, no guilt trip, no trying to take advantage of me. Just honest service. After he fixed it, I asked if there was any reason it wouldn't have been repairable, and he confirmed that it was absolutely fixable and had no issue being patched. As I was driving from Orange County, CA to Thousand Oaks, CA on 10//17/2025, I felt a "pulling to the left". I had recently had another drive-through oil change entity in Tustin, CA check my air pressure because I was pulling to the right. It seems as though they OVERFILLED my front right tire 8lbs heavier than they should have!! I pulled into Firestone in Thousand Oaks and was greeted by Cameron. Well... It's well earned to be penalized to 2 stars because we have a fleet vehicle and on last weeks' 40,000 mile service they MISSED rotating the tires & resetting our maintenance light. It's not rocket science. However I had a pleasant word with the staff. Explaining how the staff person who helped us last week was pretty dismissive, by implication without saying so, I was telling him whoever helped last week was unprofessional. The explanation I got was not really especially impressive. We've been getting fleet service for decades, rarely offered pick up without a receipt like last week. I explained that whoever gave My wife her keys seemed to be avoiding her ... Avoiding a receipt. I think three stars reflects the quality about right overall. I might add. You should read all the negative reviews. There are a lot of one star reviews. So here's an example, now on a reflecting on this... I asked why didn't they reset the engine warning light? The guy replies, oh you have to go back to the Volvo dealer for some kind of evaporative sensor that might be off. So now I'm thinking, any other repair shop would have told us this last week.. TL;DR - Firestone has the best, fastest alignment! Just had a set of Michelin's installed at Costco and asked who they recommended for an alignment. I do have a usual place I go but I wasn't certain of the quality. Costco has a deal where it's 15% off at one of two places nearby. The first place they recommended was a dealership. Immediately I knew that would be no good and overpriced. Yep - they wanted $149. I told them about the discount and the service guy said to bring in the info and "we'll work something out." Not inspiring much confidence. The second place was more reasonable at about $119, yet they sub out the work to the place I usually go to. The discounted amt was about $106. Not exactly 15% off. I then called the place they sub to and got the same $106 pricing. But they couldn't take my car that afternoon. So I Googled and found Firestone. Never even crossed my mind. There was one about 10 min from me. I called and spoke to Jennifer, who was amazing! Normal price (as of this writing) was about $102. Better than the discounted rates others offered. "But wait! There's more!" For about double, I could get free alignments for as long as I owned the car. Looking for the catch I asked if this was once a year. Nope. Jennifer told me she has hers done about 3 times a year. So if I hit a pothole, whatever, and wanted to have things checked out, bring it in. And this month they discounted their lifetime plan by $20. For $189.99 I'm covered. It was a no-brainer. And I'll have my car at least a few more years. They were able to fit me in 45 min later. Done in about another 45 min. No worries at all. So, where do they make some money back? They apparently checked my fluids and a couple other things. While everything looked good this time, I'd have no problem letting them top off or handle what was necessary. Love this place! read more

Too long! Everything they do takes too long. Oil change 90 minutes (with an appointment); flat repair 2 hr 30 minutes!! That's not a typo. And, they didn't check inflation levels and reset them. I had to fill them up myself. I simply have lost respect for company that shows so little respect for my time. Careless and unprofessional! Take your money elsewhere! It seems like many other folks in the reviews also had a similar experience to me... sad that they haven't learned their lesson. We went in for a routine oil change and they recommended some other things too (2 new tires, new brakes, coolant and transmission fluid exchange, etc.). That's fine, I've been a loyal Firestone customer for many years and always say yes to their recommendations. After driving it off the lot and onto the freeway, I found that I couldn't accelerate and a cloud of smoke was continuously coming out of my car (extremely scary for me, especially with multiple cars honking at me to warn me and tell me to get off the freeway). I thankfully was able to pull out somewhere safe and a tow truck came since it had issues starting. We took it to the dealership since we wanted a trusted third party to assess what was wrong. They told us the fluid levels were low (what we paid Firestone to replace) and that the brake fluid overflowed, most likely causing the smoke. They cleaned everything up, but still charged us $215 for the inspection. We went back to Firestone to give them an opportunity to right their wrong. They didn't care about us at all and offered us a free oil change instead. What a joke. I was a loyal customer for over a decade and now me and my family will never go to another Firestone again. Avoid this location. I questioned the addition of an oil filter on top of the quoted cost of a full synthetic oil change, as what I was quoted on the phone was lower than what they wanted to charge me in store. They explained the charges, but given the coupon I had stated "Includes new oil filter", I further questioned their breakdown. Apparently questioning them a second time was enough for the Store Manager - Sam - to get involved and tell me in an abrasive manner, that that's the price. Right from the get-go his attitude was unacceptable for a customer-service-driven environment. I explained that every oil change I've previously had included the oil filter - especially when stated on the coupon - to which Sam asked where I had been before, then told me to go somewhere else. So there I was, being kicked out of the store for questioning additional charges that were not broken down over the phone earlier. Let's assume for a moment they were right and I was wrong...more than happy to stand corrected when I'm wrong...however Sam's "take it or leave it, buddy" attitude from the beginning was problematic, and to then ask a potential new customer who if satisfied would bring them two cars for regular services, to leave over an $8.99 oil filter was um, let's say an interesting new sales tactic? Did I then produce the coupon that stated "includes new oil filter" to show them? Yes. Did that help? No. Sam continued to maintain that they wouldn't be able to serve me. Did I tell him that I was blown away that I was basically told to get the fu*& out of there for questioning a $9 oil filter? Yes. Should I have cursed? Probably not...but looking at other reviews of this location, apparently Sam has a way of bringing out the worst in paying customers (and at Sam's request when I mentioned leaving a Yelp review, I'm including the fact that I cursed). I should have left it there...but I was frustrated. I maintained my cool and told Sam that the cost of the oil filter wasn't even the issue here; but that his response to me was the real problem. That's when he then claimed to have stood by and not said ANYTHING to me until I had been "berating his staff for fifteen minutes". Berating? I maintained my cool and was questioning the charges and why they weren't explained like that over the phone, thus leading to them trying to charge me a higher amount in-store. Not quite anywhere near the level of "berating". And then there is the fact that Sam claimed it had gone on for fifteen minutes before he got involved. Fifteen mins earlier I had been sitting at home. Truthfully, Sam got involved after I questioned the charges for the second time only, which all took place within a minute or so of being told what the charges would be. In the end Sam maintained I needed to leave, told me to have a good day and wished me good luck. I responded in the same way, left and found another store who could actually deal with customers who ask questions, and remain true to what they quote over the phone. read more

They rotate your tires for free when you buy them there so I'll take my car in every once in a while when i remember to do that. They will match a price if you find them cheaper else where. We took our perfectly fine car in for a routine oil change and diagnostic, they said it was great, and we went home. The next day it was lurching when changing gears. We brought it back in and the said they couldn't "replicate the problem" and sent us home. The day after that the check engine light came on, we brought it back, and they charged us again for another diagnostic, and then said it would cost us $1500 to fix. There were no problems before they messed with it. We decided to go somewhere else to get it fixed, and when we picked it up they had left the engine running and drained our battery so the car wouldn't start.
