We scheduled an oil Change appointment online on Saturday for 9:00 am on Sunday. The appt was confirmed and all seemed well. We drove two cars to drop it off our truck and get errands and house work done. When we arrived at 9:00 am the door was locked. A few minutes later a few more cars arrived and a worker showed up. He claimed he had keys but not to the alarm so could not get in. Said the manager was on vacation and the district manager was supposed to coordinate someone to open. We decided to leave the car and get a coffee down the street. When we returned around 9:30 the same guy said he has yet to hear from anyone. So we left and sent a message to the company for a follow up. No response. Poor customer service. And they better pay that worker for a full day. He showed up. read more

It's okay. They are thorough. It's the price. $108 for oil change. Geez is there an inflation going on. And that's after a $25 discount. But then they recommend other things. Wish they just do the oil change and leave it there. 4 star for the service. Less for the price. I'm good will probably go elsewhere or learn to change my oils myself. It ain't that hard. read more

October, 2024. I dropped in without an appointment. I have an older vehicle with a December inspection date (knowing I needed at least 2 new tires). Service Manager, Mike was fantastic. Explanation was given quickly, accurately and respectfully. Ladies this is your one stop respectful, well priced, dependable team, excellent receipt and will do only the work needed. Your vehicle is treated like it belongs to the Somersworth Team themselves! My only suggestion to Corporate Headquarters is to first thank them for their Team and respect that the days of carrying a lunchbox are gone! They couldn't even tell me remotely what the issue with my car is. Even after "apparently" running the diagnostic. "We have no idea what's the problem, take it to the dealership", we're their words. And on top of all that, as I am approaching my car I see my front bumper is all scratched. When they first opened, they were very good, so I bought the lifetime front-end alignment. After a year or so, things there started to go downhill and there was a big change of employees for a while. A little over a year ago, I went there to get the tires checked for balance. When I drove away, they were worse. So I went to a local (to me I live 20/25 min's away) ace mechanic who told me it was the worse job he had seen of weight placement. He rebalanced them and they were perfect. Since had I bought the lifetime alignment, I recently went in today to have my snow tires mounted and then have a 4-wheel alignment. You'd think I had learned but the tires are Nokians with VERY little mileage on them and mounted on their own rims and hadn't used for the last 2 winters because I had some serious surgery on my shoulder and couldn't lift them into my wagon. My appointment was for 9:00AM. They didn't pull the car in till 9:32. 10 minutes later someone came to me to tell me they couldn't mount them on the car because their policy is not to mount tires more than 5 years old, and I was just over that. I exclaimed, "they're barely worn snow treads and still almost look new... really? They said that's the policy. What kind of corporate BS is this... to sell more tires??? I cant give a review of their technical expertise because I didn't receive service. i walked into the lobby to see if they had time to do an oil change. There was a younger man seated in the lobby having a conversation with an elderly man. There was no one at the desk and no one else present except for the two men and myself. I walked into the service area and spoke with a man at the service area desk. He said I had to go back into the lobby and ask the younger man "'with the red hair" about the oil change. I walked back into the lobby. The two men in the lobby continued their conversation about tires. I stood about 10 feet away facing the younger man for several minutes and he never looked up or even acknowledged my existence. If this man was indeed the person responsible for scheduling, this was pretty poor customer service. I am hoping that this is a misunderstanding and that these men were both customers, not employees. So, I went to my car and called Central Park oil change service in Somersworth, New Hampshire. A man answered the phone immediately and said to come down and I had my oil changed right away without any problems. I highly recommend Central Park for oil changes. read more

I've only been a couple of times, but the main issues I have are price, and possible unnecessary upselling. For example, Firestone quoted me for work at $585, and the mom and pop garage I normally go to did the work for $325. Also, at my most recent visit to Firestone, I was told my car needed a bunch of work (almost $2k worth). I brought it to the other garage for a second opinion, and they disagreed with most of it. They also disagreed with one of the diagnoses. So I don't know if the Firestone mechanic genuinely thought I needed the work or if it was a slimy upsell (or some combo). The garage I normally go to always has such a long wait (because they are honest, competent, and inexpensive) which is why I tried Firestone in the first place. The only reason this review is not a 1 star is because the Firestone staff was friendly, and it seems like they can perform services fairly quickly. Those reasons would have me consider using them again for minor work, but it is just not worth it for anything other than that. read more

Can I rate them higher than five stars? They easily deserve ten to fifteen stars! I'm in the process of replacing a totaled car on a very tight budget, and they offer a service called the "pre sales evaluation"'and it is *brutal*, every car I brought to them had some critical flaw(s) that they took the time to actually bring me out under the car, point to the points of concern and tell me why they were problems, discuss fixes and price, or if it'd be worth it, and a general recommendation of if the car is worth chancing or not... I guess the NH "state inspection" isn't all that exhaustive, because every car I brought in failed even though it passed the "state inspection" I'm glad that there's an honest shop out there that truly cares about their customers, I can recommend this sho without any reservations, highly recommended! In fact, thanks to their invaluable assistance I finally found a car to replace my totaled Honda Fit... a 2010 Toyota Matrix, thanks guys! The only place I go to is fire stone and have for 25 years until I moved up to Maine last year from Houston. I called to ask for some open country tires that were on their website. I was even able to put them in the basket and pay for them. They told me they couldn't get them in. He said the only size he could get in would be a bigger size and it would be $2500 installed.( 800 more than the website) I talked to this gentleman three different times and his manager and they were adamant that no warehouses near him had it. So I called the two stores that are right near him. Both of the locations were able to get the tires with no problem and install them. the location I went to had my tires two days later installed them today for the price. It was on the website. If this particular place just doesn't want to work on jeeps or buy tires for jeeps, it's all good just be honest read more

Honestly they don't even deserve the 1 star but I have to give it. All I can say is that I have had the worst experiences there and I HIGHLY do not recommend ever bringing your car there ever. I have had countless issues every time I have stepped foot in there. From rude people working there, jobs, NEVER done right the 1st time. I can't even fit all the problems I have had with them on this review and I have called corporate twice now and they suck to. Then to top it off I had my daughters car there today and was told it won't pass inspection due, to the front brakes, and "rotted rocker panels" I was floored that that was said. The rocker panels are completely solid and I will add a pic taken minutes after they said she needed front brakes because I just had to see for myself. This place is absolutely the worst I have experienced in every way. I have paid for lifetime , alignments (NEVER DONE RIGHT) and anything else lifetime that they offered. I have bought 2 sets of tires from there at $1300 each visit and the tires were worn from misalignment 100% but I have the benefit anyway and just said I wanted it right. Edit: I had to get a service done on my car and went in, my mistake, but there was a new "manager" and said everyone was let go and that they were new and there because the store was terrible. I needed an alignment and Greg got me in and out fast. I got my Steering Angle Sensor reset too taking care of 2 problems at once, it was great. The store was clean and new. I will be coming back for more. I would highly recommend coming here this is 30-45 minutes away from me and there are plenty of shops along the way but I only trust a few people. Have had them change my oil and do service for 3 years now, had good rapport with Greg the service manager, he has since moved to another store, very unimpressed with new techs and management. Told on my prior oil change I needed breaks, rotors and rear shocks. They stripped out my lug locks didn't have time to deal with the lug lock they broke only 1 tech on on a Sunday but could double team and could knock out the shocks and breaks on a 2017 Hylander. 120,000 miles, they quoted a high quote in my opinion and I took it somewhere else they said it didn't need shocks but needed breaks. Just got my oil changed at another place, they didn't put the metal center support in the oil filter that is part of the housing, cost me another $40 to get a new housing cap. Said my tires were down to needing to be replaced at 45,000 miles on a set of 80,000 mile tires. I didn't want the same ones again. The guy running the quote didn't know how to change it. Another Firestone stepped up and took care of the broken locks and gave me a better tire option at a better price. Lifetime alignment is a good deal, but not going there for anything but the free alignment and tire rotation. read more

Make it easy and not a mystery. As a chain, I wasn't expecting much in the way of uniqueness, however I was pleasantly surprised. I cannot say enough good things about this garage. Everyone in the place was super friendly and helpful. I had called earlier in the week for a quote. I had called several places actually. From the second they answered the phone, I knew I would be in great hands. John didn't just make me feel like he cared, he actually cared. We discussed my issues, and came up with a great quote.. no added nonsense. I was able to get my vehicle in for service very quickly. The work was done well before I expected it. There was no "Hey, we noticed this, and that, and also this. It's gonna cost more." I was charged exactly what I was quoted, everything they said they would do, they did. while there, I casually asked about another minor issue just to get information on a future service. They quickly brought it back in, lifted it and confirmed my suspicion. I asked them to fix that also. It was done quickly and professionally. The people.... This is taking me about a month to write this review because I have been so furious. My advice stay clear. These people are crocks! They said my car needed a lot more stuff then what I went in for. Such as new tires and my air conditioner was shot. I took it back to my mechanic and they recharge my air conditioner and it's cold as ice and they send my tires are not even half one worn. I have had luck with other Firestone shops before so when I moved up here and my car needed repairs, I decided to take it here. Do not trust these guys!! They will try to overcharge you on everything. The first time, I needed a new headlamp assembly and I was quoted $800. I bought 2 (to replace both sides, the quote was just for one side) at the auto zone up the street for $200 and replaced it myself. Took me maybe a half an hour tops so I don't understand the discrepancy for labor cost. I thought maybe that was a fluke and decided to take my husbands car in for diagnostics to give them another chance. I am so glad I got the printed recommendation sheet this time so I could do more thorough research. I was livid to get home, look up the exact model that they used in their estimate, and realize they were trying to sell it to me at almost a 300% up charge. I took it over to gateway gas in Berwick who told me he that the part didn't need to be replaced, he could repair what needed to be fixed for $65.
