I've use them twice, each time had a bad experience. The first time was for tires and an oil change. The tires are ok for the price I paid but they didn't put enough oil in my car. checked it and it was a quart low. Yesterday, I took my car in because the check engine light was on, I was told that the fee for complete diagnostic check would be $99.99 and it would take 1- 1 1/2 hrs to complete. after 30 minutes, the person at the front counter called me up and said they really didn't know what was wrong with my car and that due to time they didn't want to tear the car down and not be able to put back together. I could either leave it over the week end or bring back on Monday. I was ok with that, I made an appt for Monday. I was told that I still had to pay the $99.99. I said the diagnostic was not complete and you still don't know what is wrong with my car. BOTTOM LINE, MY CAR WAS BEING HELD HOSTAGE UNLESS I PAID FOR SOMETHING I DIDN'T GET!!!. Ladies, be ware when dealing with mechanics, whether they are shade tree or large service centers like this one. They prey on women! read more

He made a few recommendations about my car, which is his job, but didn't pressure me into buying anything. He told me which items I should replace first and which ones could wait. This was my second time bringing in my car for an oil change service. The first time I went in with a voucher. I thought they would give me a hard time because most places hate doing things for free but they were very nice and helpful. This time I went back for the same service with no voucher. When the service advisor Rafael gave me my invoice with the total cost, he let me know I could check online for redeemable coupons I would be able to use for that days service. LADIES, BEWARE!!! I'm male and I've never much cared for this location since they always seem to try and bleed you for extra stuff, no matter what you came in for BUT, they're two blocks from home so it couldn't be more convenient for simple services and I have no problem saying "no" to up selling. I asked my wife to take her car here for a simple slow-leak repair on one tire of a set of 4 month old Bridgestone run-flat tires purchased elsewhere. She called while there to tell me their policy wouldn't allow them to repair the tire, even though it was a small puncture in the center of the tread. Fair enough, we can take it to another tire shop without that policy. But they went so far as to tell her she really needed to replace the leaking tire for "safety" reasons and that we had to replace the entire set at one time since they're run-flat tires, claiming this type of tire required that. That would've been a $1300 charge based on their recommendation. Again, these are 4 month old tires! She handed the phone to him and he immediately changed his tone while speaking with me, stating that he fully understood why I wasn't willing to spend that much with nearly new tires and claimed the "recommendation" is to replace the entire set at the same time. True, if the tires are old, unevenly worn or mismatched, but these weren't. I firmly believe that women are probably smarter than men in most ways and I also know that disreputable businesses prey upon people they assume have no knowledge of a specific item or situation. My wife is a nurse and very knowledgeable in her field, but knows nothing about cars. And I know quite a bit about cars, but know nothing about the medical field. It truly pisses me off that had she not been able to contact me or someone else about this, they would've happily ripped her off and probably would've laughed about it! This place sucks and we'll never go there again! BTW, she got the tire repaired at another well known but smaller chain of tire shops (I won't mention their name since I don't want anyone to think we're a competing business) for $25, with no mention from them of the need to replace the entire set of tires simply because they're run-flat tires. This is what I get for not buying my tires from Costco this time. I'll never repeat that mistake. This place is the classic rip-off repair shop that we've all heard of. Terrible work, unethical. From day 1 my brakes were screaming like a banshee, even after I had them fix it. I finally decided after an year to learn to change the pads myself and lo and behold, they didn't apply anti squeel grease, their pads didn't come with shims that help with the noise and where you can apply the grease, and the wear indicators clips were missing. Thanks to their poor job, I got skills to change my front pads for a fraction of their cost. read more

I've been taking my company car here since I moved to the area. Every time I take it in, they keep it all day, even if it's just an oil change. Everytime I have to call them to see if it's ready and the response is always the same "we're almost done with it" Today I had to take the car back because there was a large oil puddle on my driveway. They said I had to wait because they had a lot of cars ahead of me. I have been going to Firestone for years. Being a woman and finding a place to take your vehicle without getting taken advantage of by your limited mechanical knowledge or pocketbook is difficult. These guys at Firestone do not do that at all. They thoroughly explain things, do not jack up the the bill "oh you need this and you need that", give me a specified straight forward estimate for repairs and stick to it (where unlike some places that try to nickel and dime you to increase their sales). The customer service has always been knowledgeable and professional in which I have grown to trust over the years. The service has always been time efficient, impeccably thorough and precise, and honest. Today we went in to this 8360 Limonite Ave, Riverside, CA 92509 firestone. The costumer Service guy at the front was very rude and not helpful. Talk down to us...like we were stupid. Told us that it would take 2 hours to plug in a scan tool into my car to see what codes came up. I know for a fact that to scan a car for codes takes only like 5 or 10min. I been an automatic for over 6 yrs. And what I heard to day shock me that a company like that would try to rip you off. read more

My wife and I take our vehicles here for service all the time. We have always had great service. It is hard to find a place to work on your cars that is honest and does a good job. I would highly recommend this Firestone. My mom and dad take their cars to this Firestone too. I just called them so I asked them about this Firestone. My mom and dad love this store. They are elderly and get treated like gold at this store. They said to ask for Pete....... I would agree with them. Ask for Pete. He will get your vehicle serviced quickly and get you on your way. Always fair. Went in for an oil change yesterday and they found that I needed at least 2 new tires which I agreed with. Upon installation and rotation of the tires it was discover that I needed another tire . I said wasn't planning on buying 3 to 4 new tires right now . A flat tire on the freeway on a Sunday at 4pm with no spare. Shitty situation, managed to find a ride and google the nearest tire shop. I arrived after closing hours, compressors off and the bay doors closed. After hearing my situation they turned the compressors back on and helped me out. Replaced my tire, gave me a discount and sent me on my way a happy man. I could not have been luckier and I THANK this location for stepping up and helping out someone in need. Unfortunately I'm annoyed at the lack of follow-up with the associate's at this location. I ordered 2 tires to have installed on my car, had them shipped to this location, shipper notified them they would arrive on Tuesday 1 /20/15 and they did. Prior to this I called the day before to also let them know that tires were being shipped to them direct and want to have them installed. I informed the female associate to please call me as soon as possible when they arrive, this was not done, I had to call them. I spoke to a male associate and informed him about the tires and wanted to have them installed and could he give me a time to come down, his answer "I don't know" were really booked. OK but I called you guys in advance to make sure I could get this done. It is now late in the day on the 20th and have yet to have them call me back to have me come in to have this job done. I will however do a follow-up and let you know how this was completed.. The follow-up is I had the work done elsewhere, and will not be returning to this location again they completely dropped the ball.... read more

NEVER USE THIS SHOP. I went in to get a tire rotation and a possible oil change. I waited at the counter for several minutes while the girl, named Nichole, was standing there playing a game on her phone. And when I made it clear I was standing there she gave me nothing but attitude because I "interrupted her game." And that was that, I left and sadly as I was walking to the car I heard her yelling and swearing at the techs working on cars, dropping the F-bomb like her life depended on it, told them to work faster and to stop their " F***ing bullsh!ting," She was rude, unprofessional, and just down right a pathetic representation of Firestone. I feel bad for anyone who has to work or even associate with this company. I will never use THIS or any other Firestone because of this woman. I called corporate and apparently this isn't the first complaint. When will they get the hint that this woman is driving away business? Don't use this shop. read more

NEVER TRUST FIRESTONE. two years ago i purchased four firestone destination a/t tires, new stems, balance, installation, and a vehicle lifetime alignment package for a 2004 toyota tacoma with 50k miles, which totaled just shy of $700. everything went well AND THEY WERE EXTREMELY HAPPY TO TAKE MY 700 DOLLARS. i got a nice little print out of the alignment readings before and after adjustment. some 5k miles after that i had the ball joints changed (preventive maintenance, as i like to keep my vehicles in top mechanical condition), and then brought the truck in for an alignment. at the time i was told by an "ASE master mechanic" that they rotated the tires left to right only, ie front left to front right and vise versa, and back left to back right and vise versa, bc of abnormal wear on the front tires (Wearing to one side only). i knew this was not the correct thing to do but trusting in firestone's treadware and service warranty i let it go figuring it was their folly, and i would be prorated for my 5 year 50k mile warranty. i was given no printout of the alignment before/after specs. but trusted firestone like a fool. NEVER TRUST FIRESTONE. some 12k miles after that i get home after working abroad for some time and my wife complains of bad handling. i take it to firestone, after their famous all day but qouted as 1 hour wait i return to find that low and behold the truck was severely misaligned. after getting called a liar by the "ase master mechanic" bc he would "NEVER rotate just left to right, that's not correct (DUH)" i was informed that 2 years is too long without having brought the truck in and the tires cannot be prorated. i stated that this is a matter of mileage, not time, and he then came up with a myriad of other excuses as to why this was not their fault. he also informed me they "aren't even the right tires for that kind of vehicle." COMPLETE LIES as they meet and/or exceed ALL oem specs for my vehicle. remember, this is coming from an "ASE certified master mechanic," and he seemed to know this schtick very, very well. I SINCERELY DOUBT THIS IS THEIR FIRST TIME RIPPING SOMEONE OFF IN THIS MANNER. FIRESTONE IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY, vehicles are implicitly dangerous and THEY ARE PLAYING WITH YOUR FAMILIES LIVES to scam a few bucks off you. NEVER TRUST FIRESTONE. the tires were rotated by my son per their instructions (left to right only) at every oil change (3k miles and earlier, ALWAYS). i doubt they even put it on machine after the ball joints were changed and figured since the truck is new mileage wise they could get away with it. THEY DID GET AWAY WITH IT. basically nothing can be done i am told by mr "ASE master mechanic", after inquiring about what was in stock and asking if i can get some sort of discount on a new pair of tires as i WAS partial to firestone (never had a problem with them product wise, but service was is a nightmare) i was told i can buy a new pair of tires for 10% off the tires only, not mounting, stems, etc. so i am out 350 dollars at 17k miles. 50,000 5 year supposed warranty. NEVER TRUST FIRESTONE. they are THIEVES, LIARS, and SCAM ARTISTS. FIRESTONE WAS RECENTLY SUCCESSFULLY SUED FOR SCAMMING GOOD PEOPLE. read more
