I've been coming here since last year for automobile repairs for my vehicles. I've tried several places and I like it here the best. The young lady who answers the phone is very nice, pleasant, prompt and knowledgeable which I like. It's close to my house and it's easy to secure appointments and not too long of a wait. Take Your Vehicle Elsewhere! I recently took my car here and spent about $800 on maintenance, including a tire rotation and new windshield wipers. Three days after the service, I was driving on the highway when it started raining. The driver's side wiper blade was completely torn and wasn't clearing any rain from my view. I returned to the shop to have the wiper replaced, and the employee was rude about it. He asked me what I wanted him to do. I told him I needed a functioning wiper, and he replied that they were out of that specific wiper but had only the more expensive ones. I insisted on a working wiper, and he rolled his eyes before reluctantly installing the more expensive blade. A couple of weeks later, while going to lunch with a co-worker, he noticed a missing lug nut on my passenger side. Since I had just gotten a tire rotation at this shop, they were the last to touch the tires, and it looked like they either forgot to tighten it or didn't put it on at all. This also happened to be one of my locking lug nuts. I emailed the shop explaining the issue, and they assured me they would take care of it and asked me to bring my car in. The next day, I brought my car in, but they didn't have any locking lug nuts in stock. I assumed they would order some, but instead, they asked me to order them and bring the car back once they arrived, assuring me they would reimburse me. I watched an employee quickly put a regular nut on the missing lug nut spot but didn't bother checking if the other lug nuts were properly tightened, further confirming the shop's lack of attention to detail. After calling several other shops, I finally got the correct lug nuts. Today, I called the shop to schedule the installation and get reimbursed for the cost. The employee was unfriendly and questioned why the shop should pay for the lug nuts. After some back and forth, and me reminding him that the manager had already promised reimbursement, he told me to call back tomorrow after he spoke with the manager. Honestly, take your vehicle to a shop that has higher standards, pays attention to detail, and provides better customer service. read more

I love this location. As a woman, it's tough to find a place that will not try to overcharge or treat you like dirt. This location is amazing. I've tried FS's all over the metro and this is the one I have made my home shop. Shawn, Kyle and Crystal are amazing and go above and beyond. This place will become my regular! I had an issue with my old repair guy and I finally put my foot down and decided to look around the area for a new car guy and I found one! I had Danny do my oil change and check out my car since I've been having problems with my car lock and the car shaking going above 80! He made sure I felt comfortable and was able to give me a quote on what felt right! The oil change was suppose to take an hour but I heard back in 25-30 mins while I was grabbing some food; talk about a fast oil change! I had exceptional service on a weekend and he was able to provide me all the information on my car shaking issue and I was so thankful! I'm not a huge know it all about cars but it was great to hear the breakdown of it all! Will be back for Danny and to get my tires changed out! read more

Firestone you have redeemed yourself. Went to a location in Denton several years back and they could not get anything right. Have been to this location (15th st Plano) twice in the last month to have significant repairs taken care of. Oil change, check engine light, front end alignment, Break bleed and clean, condenser replaced, etc, etc. Albeit light in the pocket I could not be any happier with the work done on the car. My father was in the car business for 30 years so I am generally pretty skeptical and critical of repairs if not done properly. The real deal down there is their Manager Jake Vaughn. Great communication. Let me know what was going on and what needed done before the work was done so I could make the decision if I wanted to make the investment. Came over here for a state inspection was referred to by the one on k avenue I was told to my tires are borderline but good this place told me my tires were not good he told me that my car would not start I said my battery was dead and that they were afraid that it was going to push codes so I have an OBD2 scanner I already had driven 90 miles just to get all the monitors down to one and they when I raise the hood they had disconnected my battery post which it left it like that for so long and they erased all my codes to start over with. I will never return to this location. It was crazy, went in on Sunday morning just for an oil change. The customer service was poor. And in addition to that it would be at least one hour before they could even get to my car "FOR JUST AN OIL CHANGE" they were not busy at all. So I was very confused. I live nearby the 15th Street location. Each and every time I need to get information about my vehicle and what's needed, they always come through for me - today was no different. Once I came by to price tires and the store manager Shawn was loads of help. At the time, he couldn't beat the price I paid at another place before, but he was SO nice and informative (I ask a lot of questions:-) )that I now have Firestone tires. Today, I came in for an inspection. The guys noticed a nail in my tire and are fixing it as we speak. Unless you want your car to have more problems don't take it here! We have Luxury Japanese Car. Brought it here because it was making strange noises. They claimed it was the radiator. It took 4 days of complete incompetence for them to get the radiator and install. In the process they broke the coolant hose which cause the car to over heat. Now they want over 300.00 dollars to fix it and they don't have the part. After much Angst, I decided to tow the car to another mechanic. The manager, seeing how upset I was then offered to fix the car for free. I decided not to take his offer as they gave me too much trouble and bad customer service. I was afraid to leave the car with them. We towed it brakes plus instead and they fixed it within 2 hours. If you love your car, take it to a reputable mechanic. read more

So I had two very bad experiences at the Stacy Road location. I came here after they blew me off twice and felt so much better. Crystal went above and beyond to help me. I didn't feel awkward and felt like I was listened to!!! They found the two back tires needed replacing after another store blew me off and said it was the weather messing with me air pressure. Tried to go in for a coolant flush for my Toyota. Firestone only carries a green universal coolant and not the specific red Toyota coolant recommended by the manufacturer. They refused to do a coolant flush with the proper Toyota coolant even though they didn't have it, and I even offered to pay full price bringing my own coolant. Also, went to another firestone location a few years back when my AC wasn't working in my civic and they tried to tell me my ac compressor was out and tried to charge me $1200 to fix it. Ended up taking my car in for an oil change at another shop and happened to find out it was just a relay switch for $30 which fixed the ac. For being a well known mechanic shop all the firestone locations I have been too have been pretty worthless and know little to nothing about cars and how to properly diagnose them. Most definitely the last time I will ever go to a Firestone location. Not sure how they are even still in business! read more

I would give this place a negative star review if Yelp had it. I brought my car over to have a new tire replaced . Somehow,They broke my car struts and refused to take responsibility. When I was trying to reason with them, they claimed that I was yelling at them and kept saying that" all we did is replacing a tire.We did nothing wrong." The car was fine before they started to replace the new tire. I was so upset that because of their competence and irresponsibility , it caused me a thousand dollars to replace new struts. I WOULD NEVER COME BACK to this place or recommend those unethical and incompetent mechanics to repair the cars. Avoid this place at all cost unless you want more problems and cost you more money and more time to fix your car. This is the best Auto repair place. Jesse is very friendly, helpful, and attentive. I was waiting for my car to be serviced for 4 hours and it wasn't a chore. I will definitely be coming back whenever I need work done. While I was waiting, about 12 people came in to get their air pressure checked and Jesse took care of it each time with a smile, ( and it's 25 degrees outside)! read more

I usually dread taking my car anywhere for repairs or even just an oil change, but I actually enjoy going to this Firestone location. Luckily for me it's within walking distance of my house, so I just drop my car off, walk home, and walk right back to pick it up when they call to tell me it's ready. Ok, after reading some of the reviews I pause at adding my own. Like most, I heard the bad stories. I started going here 1st because Discount Tire had screwed me over so bad, I almost flew off the Hi-5 on 'slicks'! My tires from them had refused to hold air, in there 3-4x/week, free new tire etc. But on my low Z, they never checked my tread wear as required. Just added air and moved on. Today's world. Anyway I digress. Firestone replaced 2 tires. No problems. I went back for 2 more later, no problems. Luis and whichever new manager were happy to help with inspection, low tires, brakes & rotors, sealed my slight bent rims & try to tighten the alignment on a bent frame (both incomplete dealership repairs from my Hi-5 dive). I don't let them into the engine, and to be fair they have declined working around my engine. One of my problems has been appointments vs. just drive up. My one appointment had me waiting 2hrs & the part was not there. Drive up, pretty immediate service even at closing time. Also TPMS sensors. The dash wouldn't go out & stay out no matter how many times reset. I kept a mental log. 5yr life, my car is 7. Sensor vs. gauge reading mismatch etc. They kept declining repairs. At $80/sensor I agreed. I finally put my foot down. They reset the dash for next day repairs, and that rascal stayed off!!! Just my luck. I still had them replace the mismatch one. They immediately pulled me in front of a full bay and did it. The light is still off. Luis is always a joy to work with, as are mechanic Chris and 2 other guys, sorry no name tag, no name to post. We work cohesively for good prices & repairs. Several of the managers have treated me like a lost female instead of listening. Ask for Luis, he has still been there when his senior managers moved on. read more

I had an unexpected need for a new tire and an alignment. I purchased my tire elsewhere but looked for recommendations for a reputable business where I could go without feeling like, as a single mom, I would be taken advantage of and hoodwinked out of more money than what I needed. Firestone on 15th and Custer was one of the recommendations and boy was I glad I went! Wonderful customer service on the phone before I even walked in the door! They walked me thru what I actually needed and didn't speak of anything except what I walked in there for. I will definitely be going back the next time I need work done. AND...they were done way earlier than the time they quoted! I'm very particular about customer service and Firestone has it down pat! I called to see if they had time for alignment of my 95 voyager and they said bring it in. I got that and added the car care pkg. My impression was one of competence that can be trusted to execute my selected service and my car was noticably smoother in going down the road. Brought my car in last Saturday to get an estimate on a power steering leak and new clutch. They identified the hose that appeared to be leaking and shared that even though my clutch was slipping, it still had around 8,000 miles of useful life. Brought my car in on Tuesday to fix the leak. They called me later in the day to tell me they identified a different hose that was leaking instead after they dug into it, which was $100 cheaper. I appreciate their honesty. read more

My last interaction was extremely disappointing. My car was ultimately not repaired and I was treated in a condescending, insulting manner. I was a loyal customer for years and spent significant amounts of money at this Firestone; what a shame. I walked in this afternoon looking for a quote and spoke to Jesse Chavez. I have very limited car experience or knowledge so having someone like him who was patient with me, spoke to me honestly and didn't talk down to me (a female) made a world of difference. I received other quotes that were lower, but the service was so good and Jesse made me feel so comfortable that I went with Firestone. He was extraordinarily patient with me and explained to me in detail what I was looking for and what services they could provide. He spent time giving me different pricing options and explaining to me what I needed. He also recommended a technician that would be great for the work. The original plan was for them to keep the car until Monday but I was VERY pleasantly surprised that they were able to finish the work the same day. He then called me to tell me the car was ready but there were a few additional recommendations. As a visual person, I was struggling to understand everything he was saying over the phone so I swung by the shop to speak face to face. Jesse was again spectacular; using a picture to explain to me what services they were recommending, why, and what the consequences were if I didn't do them. This is huge to me because as a female, I feel a lot of the time, I'm getting sold stuff I don't need because I'm not mechanically inclined so understanding the why and the consequences are very important to me. Overall, he was spectacular and with this level of service, I will remain a long term customer. read more
