I'm so thankful that Discount Tire perform alignments for EVs. Most tire shops I used to frequent don't touch EVs or don't have the specs/equipments to perform an alignment on an EV. Tesla doesn't have an appointment to do an alignment at all 3 Service Centers until closer to September. I just got my new tires installed today and drive nearly 21,000 miles a year so I didn't want to drive for a month without getting an alignment. Thankfully this Discount Tire location was able to get me in immediately and it wasn't too far from the location where I got my tires installed. It was $200 to get an alignment done for an EV ($90 if you have a gas car) and service was excellent. The tech doing my alignment walked me through the entire process and took his time explaining everything before he did the work. He is a rockstar. I couldn't have asked for better service and was out in 30 minutes. If you need an alignment done (especially for an EV) I highly recommend this location. read more

From really good to wow this blows in the blink of the eye. This should have been a 5 star glowing review but that's not going to happen. I bring my car in with a flat tire. Buy and pay for a new one, wait an hour for them to bring my car to me with the flat tire still on and the wrong tire replaced. Mistakes happen, not that big a deal. Where they lost me was promising to make it up to me and then doing absolutely nothing. They promised a few things that never happened and still kept the new tire on the wrong side. Really should not state your going to provide things that you don't follow through with. That is poor form. So instead of telling the world how great they are, its the opposite. I visited this location this afternoon because I had screws in my front and rear tires. A helpful gentleman assisted me before I even reached the front door, quickly assessed my car, and explained the tire replacement process. My car was promptly moved into the bay. I was incredibly impressed by the speed and exceptional customer service. This will be my go-to Discount Tire location. I hope other locations can emulate this level of service. They truly stand out from other Discount Tire locations and surpass any other tire shop I've encountered. Terrible customer service. I got there early and was the first one in line just for a nail in one tire. They worked (4 tire replacement) before getting to my needs. It took them 1.5 hours to repair One tire. They suck here. From now on I will NEVER BUY TIRES FROM DISCOUNT TIRES AGAIN!!! And besides that BS, I just had my car washed the day before and they ran my washer causing water spots all over my windshield - after telling them I don't need new wipers. read more

We had a situation happen when my son brought a vehicle in to get a donut tire taken off. I was very upset, but the district manager called me back immediately. He listened to my frustration and was very generous and getting us new tires. I then spoke to the general manager, Patrick and he he got my son in and out with 4 new tires. Although, the first experience did not go well, I would definitely recommend this location. in the last year I've had to buy 9 new tires because: first tire was not fixable but could be replaced with same brand in 2 days because it's not in stock, or I could buy 4 at a reduced price. bought 1. second tire that wasn't fixable was DT new tire. I was stranded because my choice again was to buy a set because the one I need is not in stock. bought 4 new tires. 3 months later, DT was no fixable flat. my choice AGAIN was to wait a day or two because it's not in stock or buy 4 at a reduced rate. again stranded so bought 4 more. so what tires do they keep in stock? do they say that to single older ladies because they know we will have to buy? great service and staff but their marketing strategy is not in the interest of their customers' safety. read more

Last time I had service here they broke my lug nut off without asking me first, and then they refused to pay to have it fixed. Nice staff, work performed was good as well. Wait time varies but understandable based on location and volume. Inside is clean, staff took necessary COVID safety steps too. Parking is limited, especially to maneuver larger vehicles but that's a design fault not staff. I particularly like the direct services and not focused on upselling products versus handling the reported problems. In my uses of multiple DT locations around north Texas area, have all been pleasant experiences, kudos to management and staff at these facilities. read more

I don't know about you but my expectation when I am getting my car serviced is to get it done fast and well. This place scored 10 on 10! I scheduled a tire change for my 2010 Mustang for Saturday at 9:00 AM. I was told that it may take 45 minutes to an hour. I reached around 8:35 AM and was out of the place by 9:05 AM. Had a low tire and pulled into this Discount Tire location, was greeted quickly and courteously, they found the nail in my tire, checked all four tires, told me it would be 45 - 60 minutes to repair or replace the tire. In less than 45 minutes the tire was repaired and I was assured all four tires are safe to drive, I left in a hurry and forgot my backpack, which I use as a briefcase sitting on the floor next to the chair I was in, I went back 6 hours later and the manager had kept my backpack in a safe place for me, this location and it's employees provided me exceptional service, I will for sure be back!! read more

Brandon even included, without charge, lug nuts for the spare and gave me advice about which tire to use for my spare. Great service !!! My car computer was indicating low tires even though they looked fine. I went to the curbside free tire check and they took care of everything and I never left the car. Wes was very thorough and spent time making sure that the tires had enough air and that the indicator light went off. The service was courteous and quick and free !!! I'm a young adult female and came in with my dad (big mistake). He was only driving me. It's my car and I paid for the tires, yet from the moment I walked in the employees only talked to my dad. They told him, and not me, what tires I was getting and discussed the warranty with him, asking him about what HE wanted, even though it was clearly not his car. I knew what kind of tires I wanted, knew what I wanted for a warranty, and was fully prepared to handle everything; yet, they completely ignored me. Even when my dad walked away and I was paying, they kept watching him as if I was 4 and paying with monopoly. I can not explain how frustrating and belittling this experience was. I paid $500 to be ignored for an hour. It wasn't one employee, everyone who addressed us spoke to my dad, even as I was being handed the keys. read more

For tires, I only go to Discount Tire. You can order your tires online, and schedule an appointment. If you can afford it, buy the lifetime certificate for repairs, refund or replacement (http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoCertificate.dos) This particular store has had a manager I wanted to slap the crap out of, but I haven't seen him in recent visits. They do quality work, and the prices are quite reasonable. Just give everything a once-over before you leave, especially if you have tires that have to be installed with a certain side facing out. Many young technicians don't catch that fact. read more

I've usually gone to the Discount Tire on Spring Creek near 75, it's a little closer to where i live. I went to this location because it's right next to Costco in West Plano and I wanted a competitive quote for 4 tires. Costco was offering a $70 immediate rebate from Michelin and I was hoping Discount Tire could come close. Not only did Discount Tire meet Costco's price, it beat it by $5 when I showed them my quote from Costco. I (kind of) expected them to meet the price, not to beat it. But the outstanding part of this transaction is an employee named "Timothy" who provided one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. When I bought the 4 new tires the tire tech who mounted the tires must have been having a bad day. By the time I got home (2.5 mile away), the brand new Michelin was partially deflateted. But the thing that really irritated me was that the tech who mounted the tire had scratched my high end Toyota wheel when he used a wrench while mounting. I had kept my wheels pristine and then I saw this 4" scratch that really dug into the wheel material. So 3 hours after buying the tires I went back to the dealership. Timothy had helped me originally and when he saw me again as I walked in, he asked if I had a problem. I told him the issues and he attended to them personally - despite what was obviously a very busy day for him. The leak was due to an incorrect core on the valve stem. The Tech had not screwed it in all the way. The scratched wheel was examined by Timothy and he said he would mount the tire I had just bought on a custom wheel that kinda matched my existing wheels and he took my scratched wheel and said he would have it re-surfaced and back to me in a day or two.. WOW, I'm impressed. I don't like that the original issue of a scratched wheel occurred - I baby my car. But accidents will happen. Timothy turned my "upset" into a "customer for life" experience - that is, if Discount Tire keeps employees like Timothy working for them. It's been some years since I've encountered the great customer service and attention I received from this Discount Tire location. It's becoming so rare to receive this kind of attention. read more

I came here to get my wheels balanced because my car was shaking. I was told I needed a new tire in order to balance it, but luckily had a full sized spare that was good to go. They only balanced two tires for me, even though I asked for all four and said if I still had a shaking problem to come back and they'd do the other two. I still had a shaking problem. I went to a different tire place altogether, who balanced all four of my wheels for $20. What's more, is that the second shop said the tires which were already supposed to be balanced were not. They didn't even balance them the first time! This place is a scam, do not go here. They just want to sell, sell, sell to you. What a rip off. My car doesn't shake anymore, by the way. read more

This place is great! I came here on a Friday evening for a full set of tires, they had me in and out in 35 minutes - by the time I had cracked open my book it was time to go! I've gone to my fair share of Discount Tire locations and this one is probably on the top of my list. "Why?" you ask? There's only one reason service and speed: You know when you walk into Discount tire and there's a million people and you think, I didn't bring a magazine. Well, you don't need one here. A couple games on my IPhone and they were done. I pass by this location all the time, but only until recently did I visit because they had the tire I was looking for. A couple of the guys that work here, I recognize from the other DT locations. Would I go here again, absolutely. The one downside to this store is that it's small. They only have 4 bays, 2 of which don't have lifts. It didn't seem to be a problem for me this time, but I could see it being a problem. I did go around 2pm on a weekday, so that definitely makes a difference. Their tires aren't the cheapest out there, but they do offer a lot of value added services for free. By the way, all tires come with a pro-rated warranty. If you damage your tire, they will pro-rate you the cost of the tire based on the tread that's left. You don't have to buy a certificate to get that. It's free. Damage certificates are only replacements for damaged tires. read more

Discount Tires has great customer service and quality vehicle care. My story is: I had a nail in my tire. I went to my car dealership and they told me that it wouldn't be repairable and told me they had to put on a new tire. Surprised and upset about the costs I sought the opinion of two separate friends and they both recommended Discount Tires to me. I went in to the Plano location. The employees were extremely friendly, did not pressure me into products that I did not need, fixed my tire at no charge and offered their complementary tire rotations! I highly recommend this branch to all drivers especially women. Personally, I feel some repair shops try to take advantage of women but not Discount Tires. read more
