No reason for making an appointment when they take the walk-ins beforehand. Appointments should have priority in any business. This location obviously lacks adequate management. Would give zero stars if possible. EDIT: After waiting 2.5 hours past my appointment time, my car still had not been moved into the shop. The excuse I was given when I asked for my keys was that they were down two technicians for the day. Unfortunate, but don't you think this would have been valuable information to provide to your customers upon then arriving for their appointments? Absolute junk level of customer service. read more

Drive to Annapolis Maryland from Central New Jersey , we heard an odd noise coming from the right wheel. We called the nearest Auto replace center and asked if we could bring the car in for service. The young lady who answered the phone was very helpful, and professional. We left the car there for a few days , as we rent a vehicle to complete our trip to drop my son off ant the Navel Academy . They diagnosed the veachle with a loose lug nut. They tighten the lug nut for us a very simple fix. The gentleman who checked me out was very nice and professional. I would highly recommended this location for their professionalism and honestly. I feel if I had taken my car somewhere else it would have been a very large repair bill for work that was not needed. read more

CROOKS!!! DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION!! I wish I could give zero stars. This location is run by pure trash. I took my car in to have the AC compressor replaced, I paid the $500 upon arrival. I walked to my vehicle only to find that the radio had been completely torn from the dashboard and stolen. When I went back into the establishment to complain, the employees laughed and said, "It's just a radio." When I requested a refund, the employee stated, "They couldn't do anything because my card had already been charged." There was no upfront disclosure of the damage to my vehicle when I arrived, the employees were very nonchalant and disrespectful. I called the police and filed a report before leaving, but I am still fuming...more than the missing radio and damage to my dashboard is the total lack of respect and accountability from this so called place of business. Please save yourself a headache and choose another location and company...a $500 repair has become a $1500 repair. read more

Took 2 days to "diagnose" my car's problems. After spending $633 to have my fuel line unclogged it still ran poorly. Took it to my local mechanic who said it only needed a tune-up. It ran perfectly afterwards. Firestone also said I needed to get my pistons cleaned for only $1200 bucks! What a joke. They also severed my fuel line when they tried to unclog it. Could've started a fire with just a spark. Avoid this place. I beseech you. Yelp, do not bury this review. Your service is to help consumers make good decisions with all factors (reviews) to take under advisement. Help your customers make wise decisions. Burying reviews doesn't help them. read more

I take my all my cars to this location because I always receive good service. Whether it be an oil change, tire alignment or fixing a slow leak in a tire. They even have serviced my 1979 Cutlass Supreme even though they generally don't work on older cars. I definitely would recommend them. read more

Take-Away: 1) we feel as though this firestone will create problems on your car just to get money out of you. 2)Won't correct their own mistakes 3) Does not have your interest at heart! Story: We took our car to this firestone (new castle de) about 2 weeks ago from this post. So many things went wrong: first of all we went in only to get a complete car package done for the car, which cost $9.99 and that's all, but when we got there they had did an oil change, blew out a new head light bulb that was working before we dropped it off. When my spouse got there to pick up the car they basically told him there was nothing they could do. After reluctantly paying so we can get the car keys, we end up calling to speak to the manager. The person who answered the phone was not the manager, but we explained our situation and Conveniently he said the manager was not there and then hung up on us while we were still talking. Avoid this location if you can. I had replaced a recently flat tire with my spare donut. When I went in to have my new tire put on the tech told me the nuts were cross threaded because their electric torque wrench couldn't get two of the nuts off of the donut wheel. Let me preface this by saying I screwed the nuts on with my fingers and then tightened them with a wrench. They were not cross threaded. Instead of a 20 dollar bill it was going to be 200. These guys are unfortunately untrustworthy, I would not recommend. read more

I have used this location before when I have had flats and tire issues and usually their service was good. I went in on Friday 4/6 about 5:45 with a potential problem with a tire and was told "we have had a long day and won't be able to repair your tire and because the weather is nicer that's why everyone had come in with their cars". They did find out it was a back tire so I was told to go back in and make an appointment for Saturday. Then I was told by the so-called manager and he tells me that they are booked up and I would have to call to see if they could fit me in for Saturday. Really?! I work in Delaware but live in Jersey. So I went to a family auto business in Jersey Saturday morning and it took them all of 10 minutes to determine I had a nail and to plug it. I will NEVER use this place again unless I am desperate with a flat and I would call AAA first to put the spare on. I will stop in tonight and let them know how I feel besides this review. The first time I brought my car in they left a huge stain on my front seat. When I brought it to their attention they said they'd clean it off. When I came back, the stain was still there. My husband ended up having to clean it. The second time I brought my car in for them to replace the shocks and struts. A few days after the service there was a loud rattling sound. I wasn't sure what it was so I brought my car into a different Firestone dealer. They told me that the repair had not been done correctly and they had to fix it. I have been taking my car to this specific Firestone location since I purchased my Toyota Corolla in 2005. Although I have noticed a change in the customer service since the older couple is longer there, I have overlooked it; however, yesterday, I called Shawn to see if there would be time today for me to drop off my vehicle for an oil change and to check a slow leak in a tire. I was told, yes, but they had to close by 4:00 due to a meeting. No problem, I asked if I needed an appointment and was told NO, just drop it off in the morning and it would definitely be ready by 4:00. This morning at 8:00 a.m. I drove to Firestone, told the attendant at the desk, Shawn (I believe) I was dropping off my car for an oil change and was abruptly asked if I had an appointment, to which I answered NO, I was told yesterday to just drop it off. The answer I got...."well that's before everyone else dropped theirs off." No apology, no offer to make another appointment, nothing. I picked up my key, said thanks and walked out. Nice! I will now find a new location for my service after being a loyal customer of Firestone, for 10 years! #Check your service records#. I work at right across the street and I believe there are numerous co-workers of mine who also get their vehicles serviced at your location as well. This place saved me when I was having a major car crisis. I limped off the 1-95 exit and into this shop in late afternoon. They told me when they would be able to look at my car, and helped me get a rental car so that I could get the rest of the way home (1.5 hours away). They looked at my car and showed me the issue, which was a faulty repair that my car dealership had performed a few weeks prior. They kept me informed on the state of my repair, and explained what they performed, and made sure to write on my paperwork that the previous repair had not been done correctly. This was instrumental in helping me to get a refund from the previous place (which I did.) They were friendly, helpful and I feel that they did not take advantage of the situation at all by trying to oversell me on a thing. Costs were very reasonable. I would go back for my next repair if I didn't live 1.5 hours away. There was a sign that this is under new management so that may explain previous negative reviews.
