They were very patient and courteous and showed my husband that it was just the setting my husband had set it on. We are so grateful for the way they graciously handled this situation and that they didn't also didn't charge us anything being it was our error.

The front desk said that they were only going to charge for the computer diagnosis and not the visual inspection. But I never requested any computer check because my car didn't have any service lights 'on'. But I just wanted for them to give me the report on my car and get out of there. Because the day before I left my car like at 08:30 and I was told they would be done with visual inspection that same day but I called at 5:30 pm and was told they didn't have time to check it and if I wanted to leave it overnight or pick it up and bring it again in the morning. Not even an apology for not calling me in advanced so I could make plans to get a ride for work the next day. So anyways WATCHOUT again with that front deck don't let them poke your eyes like they did to me. Make sure they tell you straight out how much you're gonna pay. The mechanics did a great job though but I can't say the same about the front desk. Sorry but it is what it is.

Truck went to the same issue just after one day I picked it up. Then you told me that mechanic said the probably the part that you replace was the issue??? I ask to get me a diagnostic the guys told me it was my alternator and it wasn't, it was just terminal post from battery been loose they made me spend 650 plus a night in laredo and hotel expenses for nothing and that not it tho, the new alternator was not properly installed screws where sticking out and grind off the belts inside luckily i was able to make it back ... I repeatedly ask to double check everything the first time and when I came back ... The next day my car was was doing exactly same thing and then all the dashboard ligth came on and also it was choking like if it was out of gas ... to make a long story short they didn't plug the wiring back correctly i let the them seat on the of the engine ... i had to pay to have all that corrected then they left some bolts loose from engine mount ... after I told them to take their time repeatedly to do the job ,they just ignored me. And it was too much ... i really wish I get some of what I expend reimbursed

They were offering to fix the A/C with good labor cost fees, but the high fees came from them having to ship in the parts. They did offer to fix the issue with parts that I had, but there would not be any warranty as they didn't order the parts. I decided to have the car fixed at PepBoys and now i have good, working A/C blowing in my car. Thank you to the honest people who work here. I'm proud to say that I can rely on these amazing group of people.

They kept blaming my insurance and my insurance kept saying it was STAR. I had a pinhole radiator hose leak when I took it in (nothing to do with the transmission replace) and when I picked it up the hoses were tore off. I called I'm educated leaving and they said it was due to wear and tear!! Ridiculous. I had to replace all the hoses due to them all being heavily cracked almost to the point where they were barely hanging on. How in the world?!?!? NEVER AGAIN! Do yourself a favor and avoid this business. The reps get ruder with time also. They are experts at giving you the run around as well too.

In addition, they came and took the blown out tires with the rims to their shop, replaced the tires and then returned to the car and put the new tires on. Jose was very polite, professional and fast. These guys really give great service at a great price you can actually afford. I highly reccommend this shop. If they don't answer right away, they will call you back.

I went in for a simple oil change, and as usual, they asked if I wanted to replace the air filter and cabin filter. Nothing out of the ordinary--until I left. When I opened my glove box to put away my receipt, I was shocked. It looked like someone had been rummaging through it, as if they were searching for money or something to take. I have photos showing exactly how I found it. I called immediately, and the employee told me, "Well ma'am, sometimes they need to open your glove box to get to the cabin filter." I explained that this isn't the first time they've checked my filters, and never--not once--has my glove box been left in that condition. I felt completely violated. Thankfully, I didn't have anything valuable in there, but this experience has made me lose trust. From now on, I'll make sure to remove anything important before taking my car in for service. Just a warning to others--be cautious. I'm extremely upset.

We took a trip to Laredo and he immediately wanted to wash the road bugs/dirt off our vehicle. He went in to get an oil change for his truck that comes with a car wash, which he upgraded to a basic interior cleaning. He's pretty particular about keeping his car clean and immediately noticed as he was leaving that the tint on his windows was scratched. Trust that he keeps tabs on exactly what his truck looks like, so this was 100% done here. To be fair, I encouraged him to complain and he said there would be no way to prove it was done there as he didn't have before/after pics, so im not sure what actions would have been taken to correct the damage. So he took the L, but i figured I'd warn others who like to keep their things nice that you might end up having to pay for a new tint job.

Took my pickup here for a replacement transmission. The first issue was it took them 2 weeks to…read morestart working on it sitting in the parking lot. Once they finally put the new unit in it was faulty and wouldn't shift from 1st to 2nd gear. After 2 more tries they finally got it to work correctly... Until today. I'm now sitting on the side of the highway at the closest shop I could find. where they informed me the 6 bolts holding the transmission to the transfer case were finger tight. Which the technician said is the fault of the shop that installed it. After calling JR Martinez and politely asking if they would be willing to do anything I got a very short fused woman on the phone. So all this to say, not olny are the mechanics bad, and the parts faulty, but the customer service also sucks! I will not be returning to JR Martinez South!
