My neighbor took her car in there and talked to John. John was the mechanic inspecting the car. He said it would cost $40 just to give a diagnostic of what was wrong. He said it was the starter. She jumped her car to drive it down there no problem. When John called the next day, he said they can't jump it even if it's in neutral. He said if she wants to take her car to get another opinion, she would have to get it towed. So she had it towed to the Honda dealer on parkside. The Honda dealer told her that the water splash plastic panel is missing from her car and the starter sensor is burnt out completely. When she called to Firestone and spoke to John about the water panel, he said he would put it back. Then when she personally stopped down there, another man that worked there said he never had the water panel, never saw it and they don't steal! When we jumped her car before taking it down there, the water panel was clearly in tact. This place is shady and when they found out she didn't want the work done there, they purposely broke the starter and stole her water panel. Beware of these criminals. They took advantage of this old lady and were smiling and laughing when she went down there to ask questions. Them breaking her car, cost her over $2,000 At the Honda dealership. This Firestone was convenient to her home and she wanted to keep her business local, but what a joke! She will be contacting corporate and filing a police report for the stolen water panel. If it has to go to civil court over $500, she will prosecute. Hopefully, they can reach out to her and find her "missing" water panel before garage day on Friday. This is bad business and taking advantage of the elderly. I'm fuming mad for my lovely neighbor. read more

Super friendly staff and the best customer service. We had a bad flat and the store did not have our needed tires in stock but they called around found what we needed. The shift manager drove to pick up the tire for us and the crew prepared our car, so it was a quick turnaround once the tires arrived. I brought my car in for an alignment. I called to make an appointment and was told I didn't need one, just bring it in. The employee I spoke with informed me that the lifetime alignment was on special for $189 plus tax. I dropped the car off, and was again told the alignment was on special for $189 plus tax. I responded "cool." I left my car with them and was informed they would call when the alignment was completed. I received the call and proceeded to pick up my car. When I payed for the alignment, there was an additional charge for shop supplies. There was no mention of shop supplies during my two conversations prior to the service performed. How can you use $15.20 worth of shop supplies during an alignment? I am disappointed to say the least, and now that I purchased the lifetime alignment I'm afraid they will charge me $15.20 or more for supplies every time I bring it in. Be wary of undisclosed charges, also check your invoice. This feels like an unethical practice. I wish I had not had my car serviced at this company. I will say the employees were pleasant, but it now feels like it's just the calm before the storm. *** UPDATE *** I contacted the corporate office and they did have the local manager contact me and issue a refund for the shop supply charge, and an apology. While I appreciate this, it shouldn't have been an issue. Also, the manager informed me that there would be no additional charges on the lifetime alignment for future service. read more

Brian the service manager was quite possibly the rudest man I've ever encountered. I was told last night that if I got to Firestone at 7 they could patch my tire. I went to the desk and he cut me off said "no we have one guy today" I said I wish that I was told that on the phone instead of to come in so that I wasn't driving across town on a flat and he shrugged. I asked how long it would be and he pointed at some people and said "they're in front of you and I have another car in front of you and I have one guy so hey (to the customer in the shop) can she cut in front of you? She has a flat tire" Never did I ask to be accommodated in front of anyone else. I asked how long it would be to get to me. It was incredibly awkward. I told him he was being rude and aggressive and he again looked to them. He gestured over me and asked them if they thought he was being rude. They were trying so hard to ignore the situation but it's a very small room. I made sure to apologize to them and let them know I was not trying to cut them in line and they seemed equally embarrassed by the uncomfortable situation we were both put in by Brian. I plan to call his manager Cody and corporate Firestone regarding this as well. No customer should be left shaking after an interaction at a tire shop. Wow! When I was making an appointment they asked for my address.... I'm new to the area and didn't know my zip code off the top of my head. I asked why do you need my address on file anyway I got attitude saying "I need this to make your appointment." I said ok well I don't know the zip code off the top of my head if you aren't going to send me something does it really matter what I give you ? and he told me that I should make an appointment elsewhere... wow I'm so shocked that I had so much attitude on the phone I will never come here or even think about it. We had a tire problem and would not have made it home. Pulled into a few tire places along the road to get here. No one had our tire size. Not only did they have our tires they had us in and out in new tires alignment in under an hour even with all the problems with our rims. Just wanted to say this was some of the worst customer service I have ever received. My cousin and I was traveling from North Carolina, when our car started shaking a little and turning a little to the right. So our first instinct is to go to a tire place for them to check the tires out. After waiting for a good five minutes to even get someone to come to the front desk.. We finally got a guy to and what we needed. After explaining our situation and asking about the tires. He then proceeded to say this wasn't their problem because it wasn't the tires (he didn't go look or feel the tires to even know). He said it was the dealerships problem and we would would have to go there. We were out of state and didn't have many options and they were no help at all. I would never recommend anyone to this tire place. Do better for the next customer. P.S. Went to Honda (the dealership) and it was a tire problem and they could have fixed it and got the our money and business but no it wasn't a tire problem to them. read more

I pulled off the interstate with a low tire on my BMW 750. The tires are special type tires (21 inch rims). They didn't have anything in stock but took time away from a very busy day to help source the tire. Even though I ended up towing the car to BMW I can't speak highly enough about the customer service at this location. They did everything possible to assist a stranded traveler. read more

I stopped in this evening about 45 mins before closing. I was afraid they would tell me that they wouldn't be able to help. I have a giant screw in my tire. They got me in immediately. The clerk was very friendly and the repair man was too! I was very pleased with the service. Even a dumb person would think that when you go to a "Tire" place to spend hard earned money on new tires that the "Tire Dealer" would have A LEAST ONE/1 person dedicated to putting the new tires on your car, especially when you are paying $400-800 for a set of tires these days, but NOT at Firestone; they could care less about the customer or the customers opinion, no really I'm serious, just ask the assistant manager like I did at Firestone, he'll tell you that Firestone does not need a customer telling them how to run their business model. I watched these workers for an hour and a half before I said anything to the manager. Firestone has EIGHT/8 work bays, there were THREE/3 cars in those bays and TWO/2 workers that were actually working. The other workers were too busy smoking, standing around out back or drinking in the Tool Truck that was out back. I asked the manager, why don't you guys cross train, he said they all cross train to do everything, yet here sit the customers, trying to purchase tires, but out of all these workers no one seems to want to put tires on at a tire place. So I asked if he knew how much longer it would be, the manager said I was next in line and it would be about another hour to an hour and a half to get new tires put on at a tire place. REALLY? 3-4 hours to put tires on at a tire place. We have a car, we have tires, we have a tire place, but no worker to put the tires on. So needless to say, I've learned over the years my hard earned money is easy to spend at any store that really wants a customers business, so I took my keys back, went a mile down the road to another tire dealer that had workers that were working and bought 4-new tires and was out in less than 45-minutes. I will NEVER recommend Firestone to any family, friends or military. I have 7-cars and none will EVER run a Firestone Tire again. read more
