I came in with rattling in my steering wheel and was on a wait list, but was accommodated in a timely and professional manner. They inspected my vehicle and pointed out that I needed new tires and also found additional issues. Along with Jerry, another technical employee was very friendly and even got my new tires at a very affordable price a day earlier than they told me. Been taking my car(s)to Firestone for oil changes for about 5+yrs now, I even have a credit card because they did good work..that was before I moved to Tennessee. I specifically had my Uhaul pull my car across country so I wouldn't put too many miles on it seeing that its a early 2000's vehicle but that was all for naught because when it came time for my first oil change at this location was the last for my car because little did I know there was no oil put in my car & it died on the side of the road while I was with my kids. At first I was like "okay, maybe its just the end of it's life cycle" until my newer 2016 vehicle started having problems and the engine light came on(after it had an oil change from this location) so instead of going back to them I went to another location & they told me that the car, that I have never had this problem with is almost needs to be totaled! So here I am with one car sitting on my property and the other, from what im being told is about to be deceased, I start to think "can I trust their opinion" I quickly say to myself "NO" so I got an appointment with a dealership that deals with my brand of vehicle and right away they tell me that the car is fine and that it has NO oil and no leak. My advice is STAY AWAY from Firestone or specifically this location and if you absolutely have to, be sure to get a second opinion if your car has any problems after the fact. read more

I can't believe how they use a scare tactic to get money out of people. I just went in to buy a tire for my back passenger side I only asked them to check on my front tire passenger side tire well I was right I needed a new back tire but I didn't have money for another tire the guy kept making think that the front passenger side tire was going to blow up at any moment. It's been 3 weeks since that visit and the tire is still good. I left that shop in tears. read more

We have had an awful experience with Firestone , the 4808 Broadway location. We had gotten an estimate on some needed repairs and made an appt a few weeks later for the repairs. After a couple of hours waiting, we received a call saying the car would be ready "in 30 mins". 15 mins after that call they call us back saying that we now have a blown head gasket! That's not a problem that was told to us prior. We've always heard bad things about Firestone, even from certified mechanics. I would never ever recommend FIRESTONE to anyone. I believe that they're untrustworthy and they find ways to get more money out of you. Shady business! Even the general manager Brian was rude and continued to talk over us when we were voicing our concerns. So now the car is undriveable. Shame on your Firestone. read more

The people here are actually very nice and not shady. I've had my fair share of going to auto shops for an oil change and walking out with threats that if I don't get XYZ fixed, then my car will explode when I'm driving down the highway. I worked with one of the managers here - he gave me a rough time estimate on when my car would be ready, and he made a few suggestions, such as getting one of my tires replaced. He actually showed me the cracks in my tires instead of merely telling me. I didn't end up getting my tires replaced, but he wasn't pushy. Instead he gave me his card, gave me a quote (which was very reasonable) and guaranteed me the price for the next 30 days. I will definitely be back. read more

Was told appointment was needed to replace four tires. Made an appointment for noon and was told that they would call when car was ready. I called and was told I could pick up at four. I returned to the shop at 4:15 and they had not even started on the car. I was told it would take another hour. Why would I wait an hour in a lobby during a pandemic? Ridiculous. Left without new tires & am saving $100 by going to Fleet Tires. read more

Took my sons car there for an oil change and tire rotation. They recommended some work and said the car was ok to drive as long as fluids and oil was checked. Fluids and oil have been checked 2-3 times a week and car ran just fine. Took the car in to get recommended work done. they called and said the car was ready then called back and said the car had a blown head gasket. One adviser said the head blew because the car had not been driven(to which it has). The manager said "it's common sense to not drive a car leaking coolant". But he specifically said the car was safe to drive. DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR THERE!!!!! read more

NEVER trust Firestone. I've had 3 bad experiences at the Firestones in Knoxville and will never go back. PLUS my sister just purchased 2 new tires at the Farragut location about 6 months ago, and she went to a different Firestone location this week to buy 2 new tires (for the other two)--and they told her she had to replace ALL FOUR tires. She asked why (seeing as how there is less than 7,000 miles on these 80,000 mile tires), and they told her that's how they sell them & that she needs new ones anyway. The tires were practically NEW! I took my car here the other day because I got two flats on a Sunday. I brought my car and and bought two new tires - they did not have the tires I own currently so I bought similar replacements. After the tires were put on they told me I needed a left strut replacement in order to align my wheels. They quoted me over $600 after I had just spent a little less than $400 on 2 tires. I decided to take it to my regular mechanic for a different quote. He told me there was nothing wrong with my struts and that my car was fine. It has been driving just fine and no wear on my tires. I was appalled that a company would try to milk my damages for what they were and straight out lie to me about something that is not necessary, simply for more money. I understand Firestone is a large corporation with many locations, that may not depend on repeat business, but I will never ever take my car to a Firestone. I buy all my tires at Discount Tire, they have great customer service and do not try to "wheel and deal" their customers. If I ever run into car trouble on the weekend, I have learned my lesson to stick with the places I trust - Discount Tire and my local mechanic who knows me and my car and would rather keep me happy than make a few bucks. I came to this location due to my car oddly not starting while at a local store. did not want to leave it there i had it towed to this location. i received a prompt call in the am with questions for more detail. (thinking they cared) Gave all the details i coud, told the Gentleman on the phone that i wasnt trying to spend a bunch due to a family event that weekend (this was a friday) and i believed it could be something simpke from what ive heard and read. Received another call back and apaarently i needed a new starter, was told $259 got there and ws charged $398, AFTER 30-40 Minutes of trying to understand WHY i was not told about this "$99 Diagnositcs Charge" & all they could say was "SORRY" With family family waiting on me i reluctantly paid instead of causeing a scene and beinglter than i already was. We did not get to enjoy our family weekend like intended de to paying an EXTRA $115. I was charged for a NEW starter and when i asked about the OLD one I WAS TOLD "WE SEND IT BACK TO WHERE WE GOT THE NEW ONE" BUT this was MY starter, so why didnt I get the core charge. So today im taking pictures to make sure i actually have a new starter. A Manager shouldve made this right. Especially when i commited to the lower price. read more

I have actually use Firestone 4 time...why did I use them so many times, I'm still asking myself. The first time, I had my Air Condition charged...a couple of weeks later, it over heated and it ended up costing a part that was over $200.00. I bought some tires from them...in less than three months, one of the tire blew out...and the offer I got? They gave me the price on some new tires! The last time I ever used them is when the Manager at Broadway said I needed new tie rod replaced. I had it replaced, only to have the tie rod break within 2 weeks! The manager told me I must have hit something! I never hit anything! That was the last time I ever went there. My question is, are they really replacing the parts, or are they just charging you and keeping the same parts on? Did you ever wonder why the seats in the waiting area are facing AWAY from the shop where you can't see what they are doing? read more
