On 05/06/2025 I had an appointment to have 4 tires put on. I asked that no other services or inspections be done. I was denied the discount price advertised and denied my military discount. An hour and a half after my appointment a sleazy mechanic said he could not get the lug nuts off and tried to get me to buy 24 lug nuts for 186 dollars. I found the lug nuts online for 36 dollars at the local Autozone. The mechanic had damaged several of my lug nuts. They never did mount the tires. I bought the tires I had ordered and took them to a tire shop down the road and had them installed. The shop manager at the second shop reported he had no problems get the lug nuts off and that new lug nuts were not needed. I did go ahead and replace all the lug nuts because Firestone had damaged several of them. The cost to replace the lug nuts, all 24, was 29 dollars. Firestone had tried to rip me off for over 150 dollars. I believe this was an attempt to financially exploit me because I am a senior. My issue is I am sure I am not the only one they have ripped off or will rip off. They are stealing money from the elderly population who uses their services. Amount read more

This location is a rip off. They give wrong diagnosis and overcharge. Told us that it was the the radiator hose and charged $190 for that and then said it might be the head gasket and would check the gaskets, They called and said yes its the head gasket but he cant repair that. Charged $380 to tell us that with no repair. We got the vehicle back took it to a real mechanic. Guess what it wasn't the head gasket. Easy fix. Beware do not trust this location. read more

Took my car in for "check engine" light being on. Firestone charged 109.99 for diagnostic service, 73.50 to reset modules, 83.99 for brake light switch, 102.90 for labor, total = 432.67. Thing is the brake light switch they used was faulty. It caused my cruise control to not work. When I called to order a brake light switch from Subaru dealer it was ~$22. Needless to say I will not being using Firestone for car maintenance ever again. Staff have no apology, poor customer service! read more

Liars and crooks. I brought my car back for inspection of popping and grinding that started after they put new tie rods on. Now , they find over $1000 of work that wasn't there one week earlier. I said no thanks , go to get my car , and the side mirror is broken off and on the ground. I brought it inside, and after some back and forth and the manager telling me he can get me a price for a new one , ended up saying " as far as I'm concerned , it never happened" Don't ever go to firestone on Kingston pike. Walked in the front door and right away I felt as I didn't belong. Waited 10 minutes in the front office and no one ever acknowledged me, greeted me or even said someone will be right with you. I see the techs answering the phone but still no acknowledgement. This company used to have great customer service. Needed for tires possibly even an alignment. Thank you for not wanting my buisness. I WAS a FAN. Until I brought my 2nd car in for an oil change with tire rotation. A tire rotation usually includes "checking tire pressure." I've NEVER had tire rotation service in the history of the 5 cars I've owned without complementary TIRE PRESSURE CHECK and REFILL. All 4 of my tires were below 30. they should have all been at 30 or just above. I am thoroughly disappointed at the fact that this essential and commonly done service was overlooked. *** Received a follow-up call from the manager of the Bearden location. What he explained to me makes sense. While the repair that was ultimately done to my tire is safe, Bridgestone/Firestone has corporate policies and procedures that they need to adhere to. My "go-to" local dealer, while reputable and that also has several locations, probably has more latitude to perform these repairs than does a large, corporate entity. I have no problem with the quality and performance of Bridgestone or Firestone products; I would gladly run them on my car. My only disappointment was that I received a "no repair possible" from them, yet ultimately I was able to go elsewhere and save the cost of a new tire from a different (smaller) dealer. Ultimately, it was corporate requirements that did not allow the Bridgestone/Firestone dealership to complete the needed repair. *** Stopped in at this location and asked about patching a punctured tire. The tire was punctured in the tread, not the sidewall. However, the tech said that the puncture was too large to be repaired. Apparently they wanted to sell me a new tire (an expensive one at that given the size and speed rating of the tire). The next day (Monday) I went to my "regular" and trusted local tire supplier and they said the repair would not be a problem. I've been driving on the repaired tire for 3-4 weeks now with no issues whatsoever. read more

While traveling to Florida we stayed overnight west of Knoxville. The next morning I found the left front tire had 18 PSI. It being a Sunday I found a tire repair search showed the Firestone dealer opened at 8 am and was two blocks away. The Store manager James Lacy was there before 8 and took me right in . The service tech discovered a screw in the tread. The Manager explained a inside patch was necessary and why. First class service. I was on the road at 8:40. Thanks Mr. Lacy. I was a fan of Firestone for years, UNTIL I went to the Kingston Pike location. Here's what I learned: They ALWAYS will try to convince you that you need new tires. (I had about 10k miles on mine, and they swore up and down that I needed them replaced. They did the same thing to my wife, even tried to play on her emotions, saying she'd wreck if she didn't.) They ALWAYS try to up-sell you, and there are ALWAYS hidden fees in everything they do. With so many options for oil changes, tires, and routine maintenance within a one-mile radius, there's no reason anyone should ever go here. Wish I could give this place 0 Stars. Took my car here to get diagnosed. They said it'd be 24$ no big deal. They called back an hour after I left after looking at my car and said they couldn't do anything and to take it to a dealership. I said okay well I'll come get it towed back. They said great and no worries no charge since we couldn't do anything. I come to get it towed. I call them and say hey I need the keys so I can get my car towed. They say well you do owe $13 for the diagnostic. After he said it was free. Then he hung up on me when I said I didn't have the money. I called back and they argued with me wether I should get my keys back or not. Very unprofessional and not helpful. 10/10 would NOT recommend!!!!!!!! read more

have to say, after seeing a naul in my tire I CALLED THEM. I got an appointment right away. When they looked at it they were able to discover it did not go all the way through, they removed the nail checked for a leak sent me on my way without a charge! thats pretty honest! read more

Ok, so we were traveling and had some really bad noise in the front end, it was 4:30 pm. I called, explained and they told me to bring it in. Two technicians had a really tough time replacing a wheel bearing and completing a front end alignment. They did not finish until after 9pm, over 2 hours past closing time! Thank God for them, kept us from being stranded! Very trustworthy as I have worked on cars all my life and knew what they were explaining to me. I highly recommend this Firestone! read more

The Firestone on Walker Springs has the friendliest staff. They are honest, trustworthy and certainly the most knowledgeable. They've never lied to say that something needed to be replaced, just to sell me something that my vehicle didn't need. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone. read more

I scheduled an appointment because the wait time was too long when I visited before. They told me that I was next in line and I still had a 45 minute wait. I had a coupon for a 20 dollar oil change so I was gonna wait. I asked them how long would the oil change take. They told that it would take an hour to do an oil change. Unacceptable. There is a 10 min oil change place down the road for the same regular price. There is a CARx that does an oil change in about 20 minutes. Both places will also perform a check and top off fluids. Firestone employees have a "I don't care" mentality. Its take it or leave it. So I left it. Thanks but no thanks Firestone. You might be able to get away with being slow getting my car in or performing the actual work, but definitely not both. And hire someone with some customer service experience read more

I will agree with the reviewer who said these people are sketchy. If you don't know anything about cars, they will try and rip you off. I have had many bad experiences here and i will not be returning. I only went back because I had a deal for an oil change (which by the way took 2 hours.. for an oil change and tire rotation) but i will not ever go back to that place. I liked the warranty they have on the tires, and one time I went in and they replaced the tire but it FELL OFF while I was driving on the interstate! Yes, the tire fell off of my car. They didn't even put it on right! And they of course acted like it wasn't their fault & they wanted to charge me to tow it to them. Well, I'm sorry but I never had a tire fall off of my car before. Do yourself a favor and find an honest mechanic and stay away from this place. read more

Get an estimate before service performed! I had an 11am appointment scheduled for an oil change, and presented my school coupon advertising a $19 special for the oil change (plus $2.99 disposal fee). My frustration began after my car had not been brought back after 30 minutes. Finally, after an hour, the mechanic comes out and wants to replace my cabin air filter for $60. No thanks, when I can buy the part on Amazon for $9 and easily replace it myself. The mechanic then offers a tire rotation for $9.99 and a free alignment. I figure why not since they already have my car lifted. Another hour goes by, and I when I inquire about the wait, I'm told the alignment hasn't been done yet. I tell them to just forget it, as I was not anticipating a 2 hour service. Next comes the bill - imagine my surprise when my bill is nearly $60?! I asked how this was possible with a $19 coupon, plus $3 disposal fee, and $10 tire rotation. Clearly the mechanic was trying to back pedal with all the talk of different oil types and amount needed, etc. I told them their coupon was false advertising, and clearly the charges should have been explained when I gave them the coupon before service was performed. They removed $10 off the bill because of my complaining, but I still ended up paying nearly $50. So in conclusion, if you plan to use this automotive shop, be prepared to spend a very long time there, and get the estimate prior to service being performed. I've had a terrible experience here in Firestone in Knoxville, TN. They are incredibly sketchy, and the mechanics are incompetent in their own work. I've had readjustments here and every time I had them, it was almost as though I was worse off, and they would try luring me into purchasing very trivial mechanical fixes for unfair prices. read more

Complete failure of a place! Like most Firestones in Knoxville now, this one has gotten so busy, they don't have the time to get cars in and out or to work on them properly. I brought my SUV in for an oil change, tire rotation, alignment, etc. (I have a free lifetime tire rotation and alignment, due to buying a tire package with Firestone last year). I also told them I needed the brakes looked at and fixed. I brought the truck in early in the morning, and they told me they'd have it back to me by the end of the day. I called late in the afternoon, and they hadn't even looked at it yet! So at this point I knew there was no way they would be able to get any work done and have it back to me that day. I ended up having to leave it overnight. They called the next midmorning and said it was done. When I went to pick it up, it turns out they had done the oil change, tire rotation, and the brakes, but totally "spaced off the alignment". So then they said they were too busy to do it that day, and they could make me an appointment to bring it back another day for it. Oh sure, I'd like to drive another hour back and forth to drop it off again for another whole day and have them screw up again! The staff is basically a bunch of oversize teenagers working there, who appear to be stoned ... And definitely don't have it together. Very unprofessional. I will never return! My tire sensor alerted me to a nail in my tire. I had been planning to get new tires soon, but I hadn't done all of the research that I wanted to do. I wasn't sure how long my car would be driveable and I was very afraid of a blowout. I called Firestone to ask how much a patch would be and I made sure they could get the Michelin tires that I wanted. I arrived and the person with whom I spoke came out. He said my tire wasn't patchable. I do not know if this was true or not. He talked me into getting some Firestone tires instead. I was very overwhelmed. I hadn't planned to buy tires like this. He said I'd save $100 off and get a $60 mail-in rebate. I felt stranded there. I spent $937 on 4 Firestone tires and lifetime alignment. I feel taken advantage of and ripped off. I will use Firestone for the services for which I have paid, but I will never buy tires there again. read more

I've dealt with Firestone stores for 30 years...some good experiences, some not so much. When I recently had to replace my run-flats on my van, I got a big dull surprise after much research to find tire prices of $950-$1300. Then someone recommended Tire Rack on-line where I found an apparent quote below all the others; they listed Firestone Walker Springs as an authorized installer. When I called the manager Michael Graham to confirm, Michael said they'd indeed be happy to install but he asked for the opportunity to quote as well. He was friendly, knowledgeable, made no slurs about any competitors, altogether pleasant & professional. Turns out, he sold me tires including road hazard warranty, mount, lifetime balance/rotate for about $50 less than every other quote I received. He ordered the tires on Saturday; said they'd be here on Tuesday. Got a call on Tuesday to bring the van in. The best surprise... the invoice was exactly as quoted! No extra charges or fees. And I have the advantage of local contacts and national service. Impressed with the service folks, and Firestone needs more associates like Michael. Not sure about this place any more. Tried to help my girlfriend, single mother with 2 kids, by speaking with the manager about her small Asian import car she took in to diagnose a miss, and ended up with a $900 bill encompassing things like replacing 4 spark plugs, 2 bad coils, all belts were described as bad, and a recommended fuel system cleaning. Being a reliable car with under 100K miles, I questioned not only the need for repairs, but the apparent high cost. The manager was quite "testy" and was obviously very irritated about being questioned, but I did discover a double charge on part of the labor, and he made a few small adjustments to the bill, which resulted in about $100 off the $900 ticket. Long story short, my girlfriend left dissatisfied and out 2 weeks pay, and I'm still shocked by the charges and attitudes displayed here. read more

BEWARE!! I supposedly had my front brake pads replaced 4 months ago and was informed today by another company that only my front left pad was changed and the right pad was old, worn, and cracked. I was completely ripped off at Firestone. All the customer service employees are very sketchy scam artists. My wife took her car there and they sold her a $230 tire and told her she needed three new tires. I told her to go to Sam's Club and they said she has several thousand more miles left on the other three tires. Firestone will try to scam every dollar out of your wallet. Lesson learned. Went in for a routing oil change because I had a school coupon. Pulled in at 8:20. The guy said that it will be about 30min once they get me up. I was the only one in there with another car which was dropped off by a tow truck A Buick, I believe because the guy came in moments later asking if the tow truck driver had left already. At around 10:15, I finally asked a young lady how much longer was it going to be? She went out, came back and said, "shouldn't be much longer they are writing it up. 30 min later still nothing, asked again, and then that's when the guy who checked me in came and said that the drain plug was stripped and I needed a new oil pan. 16hrs of work. Whoa! I went in for a simple oil change and got totally screwed. I left 3 hours later after they put an oversized plug and now my car leaks oil. On the work ticket, they said that "the customer came in with a stripped drain plug." False! In speaking with some other auto techs, most said the only way this could have happened is if the tech willfully stripped the plug. I felt that from the time that I walked in to that shop, I was screwed. I am not sure why, maybe it has to do with the current political climate, the way I looked or that is just their STP and I my number was called that day. I have called the shop several times and spoke with one guy who was very nice. He said he would inform the manager about the issue. Worst experience I have ever had and even if this was the last shop on earth I would not recommend that anyone go to this shop. Maybe I was targeted; I guess that is a huge probability. read more
