Extremely slow. I see 4-5 cares up with techs not working with urgency. Service was - meh. Good attitude, didn't seem very knowledgeable. Had appointment at 8:30am for tire replacement and alignment. It's 10:22 , I see my car with no tires on it. The CSR didn't let them know I was getting an alignment until about a hour and a half after we first talked. What could improve: attention to details and urgency. Now granted, it's hot outside, so I get it. I do believe I could have gotten MUCH better service elsewhere. This is my first time using Firestone, also my last. Every Firestone I look up has pretty bad reviews. When I think about how long it takes me to take a tire off, with at home supplies instead of the workplace.. the math isn't mathing . I'm happy that the sales reps make commission, however when it comes down to suggesting tires for a car, please be mindful that the customer matters more than, if they are already going to purchase tires. We took our car to firestone, spent about $1,400.00 to work on engine ** (Timming chain seals etc.) Work was good... (I paid it in Full too ) Manager said, "more then once", if anything goes wrong, come back they will fix the problem ! Nice guy. Before we can even get home, now the engine light comes on.. WHAT ?? We were two blocks away too.!! TWO BLOCKS. Called the manager, told him what happened, He said, bring the car back on Sat 9AM No problem We did, a guy working there told us if they check it it will be free, unless its something else. No engine light, ever came on before, so it must have been from there work, DUH... Now a guy that works there, saids, its not free like the manager said, it's going to cost us another $110.00 They are CRAZY !!! everyone sees it's a scam !! SCAM. Then when we get there, because I complained, now it's $245.00 SCAMMERS !!!! Don't trust the extra help... That guy even talked shit about the manager too. :( What happened to Firestone?? Awesome service! So my car was not blowing cold air, i took my car into tri city battery and they told me that my ac compressor won't engage and the qoute was 3400$, now I'm no mechanic but i could tell that my ac compressor was engaging just fine, so i decided to get a second opinion at Firestone, and I'm glad i did because they said that my compressor was fine and my car was just low on freon, which was weird because tri city battery has also told me that my freon was filled to spec, so Firestone added the needed freon and tested some things including the compressor and just like that i had ice cold air again and the best part was that it was only 640$ at Firestone instead of 3400$ at tri city battery. So do your dillegence people, Firestone kicks butt! And tri city Battery is just plain dishonest. read more

I've been taking my cars here for 10 plus years for all kinds of stuff. They can fix just about anything! They have always done a good job! They are a bit more expensive than your " friend mechanic" but I get peace of mind knowing the work was done right and has a warranty. Plus, if you are a regular customer, you get perks and a kinda VIP treatment....ty Firestone for the all the work you do! You've saved my ass several times! read more

I've had my car looked at here a few times while in the area, but this last time will be my last. I'll save my Firestone needs for when I'm in a different city or state. The work they provide is decent, and they seem to be on par with other auto shops. I'm docking them three-stars because of their customer service. I'd give this place 1-star based on my last interaction here, but leaving an extra star for the one or two employees that were friendlier during my last visit. Made an appointment online the day before to have my alignment looked at (Firestone offers a lifetime alignment service, which I highly recommend...just not at this location), but then treated like an idiot when they didn't see me on their schedule and then trying to describe the issues in my car. The final straw was when I picked up my car a couple hours later. This employee was now quite jovial with another customer and using slightly ill-fitting (almost inappropriate or insensitive) comments. In a world where people can be "over sensitive" or overzealous in the need to be "politically correct", I'll just leave it at that. Ultimately, I already felt a little uncomfortable here...and after this last visit, I feel very uncomfortable coming here and won't return. read more

First of all, I would do a 0 star but it's not a thing. I have dealt with some greedy and dishonest people but this place is next level. For starters, the destroyed my car, locked my keys in the car and had me pay for it, my car broke down, immediately after I left from having this establishment do a flush. What is no surprise now...I paid for the tow back. I trusted this place and I'm sick to my stomach at the amount that I now owe to replace the engine if my car after I drove it to Firestone and had a flush done because I trusted their expert advice that was needed based on my milage. I followed the emails suggestiion form Firestone and after 2 weeks of no word, I had to call them and that is when they told me the keys had been locked in the car, could I call a lock smith. WWHHHHAATTTT???? After I was shocked but needed my vehicle, I did this and of course the manager would be applying that amount to my bill, which I have already picked up my car from this place, and I still haven't seen the amount credited. The manager is so rude, he has no feelings, its literally just a check for him. Customers are nothing to this dude. I called right now to get my balance to be done with this place and the man that answered was so rude too. Like how they are still in business. Oh, I know because your dishonest and deceitful. I pray that the morals and staffing of this corporation drastically change. Also the guy said it would take 4 hours to do a job ....so I left. When I left and made an appointment somewhere else for the same exact job they said it would only take an hour to an hour and a half to do the job. Firestone is very convenient for me because I work at the Columbia Center Mall. However my suggestion to anyone looking to get any mechanical work done at this establishment don't! Pick a different establishment. Here's why: I took my car there this week because I had a low tire. I pulled up to the Garage bay and the technician told me he could see, I had a nail in my tire. He said "if you go in and set up an appointment we can fix it". I said "great, I just work at the Mall, I'll leave it till this afternoon". I get a call from the receptionist about an hour later. The receptionist describes to me what they discovered. He launches into: "the tire is unsafe". I didn't react I guess the way he thought I would. So he proceeds to tell me, they can't fix it, and that I would need a new tire... "I said the tires are just a year old". He said "they could see the cables all the way down to the center of the tire". I said in my mind "why would the technician tell me he could see a nail"! I told the receptionist that I would take it to LesSchwab even know it was not as convenient and to see if the tire I purchased a year ago would be under warranty. Well after LesSchwab inspected the tire, as suspected, just a nail in my tire, like the honest technician told me in the first place at Firestone! First time to this location. I needed a rear differential service done, and after getting a high-ball quote from McCurley Honda ($50 more) I decided to try here. Read the reviews first, and was a little nervous, but at my Dad's suggestion, and my prior experience with Firestone (for tires in 2012, in Oregon) I figured I'd give it a try. Made the appt. for a Sunday at 11 a few days earlier, got a quote for $100, and the guy at the desk when I checked in said it would take about an hour. Check engine light comes on and car stutters and shakes when stopped at lights. Car shut down a few times in a drive thru soon after engine light came on. Took it to this Firestone to get a complete diagnostic and oil change for just over $200. Management reached out and said they diagnosed the issue and it would cost $2240 to fix. I approved the work to be done so I would have a reliable working vehicle for my small business. Took almost a full week to complete the work due to the store being short staffed. Completely understandable. I had to be the one reaching out to know when it was done and ready to be picked up and when it finally was ready I asked for a complete breakdown of what work was put into the repair of my vehicle. So I had a record of how long they actually worked on the issues they invoiced me for. They didn't have a way to show me that record is what I was informed of after I made a full payment of the cost and so I'm just suppose to believe what they said they did was what they actually did do. The manager reached out to me the following day to apologize for not having his staff more knowledgeable about how to get me the breakdown of all I was asking. Only for the following day the check engine light came back on and the shaking and stuttering to start all over again. At that point I called asking for a refund because I wanted to take it to another place to have them diagnose the issue. Firestone management asked I give them another chance to diagnose the issue and it would be done at no cost. I allowed this to happen but they were unable yo find any new issues with the vehicle and simply reset my check engine light and said none of the things I mentioned was happening while they were test driving it. When I called corporate to request a refund for the service that didn't fix my cars issues they had the store manager call me again and state that if I take it to the Ford dealership to get diagnosed they would be happy to cover that cost. I simply want my money back from this company and I'll definitely take it to ford when it's possible for me to do so. But they are refusing to refund my money knowing their work didn't repair my vehicle at all. If I would've read the reviews for this location first. I had two bad experiences with this Firestone. I should've stopped going to this location after the first bad experience but since my issue was so small I figured I would let them do it. I take my car to the to have the handle in my car replaced. The handle was a cheap plastic piece that opens the hood. I already know what part I need but I still wanted to take it over to Firestone to get it double checked. I tell the front desk guy I need a handle and he walks out to my car to have a look at it and quotes me instead for a hood cable instead which was like 75 dollars. I didn't question them and brought the car in the next day to get it fixed the best part was them calling me saying we cant do the job because we need to order the handle inside the car for the hood. LOL I said that's what I needed and they were trying to overcharge me for a part I didn't need. AVOID THIS FIRESTONE! AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had this replaced by a local mechanic for about 20 dollars all together. read more

I took my car in for a scheduled Uber/Lyft inspection. I was advised that I failed due to a brake light being out. They let me know they could replace it for $90 additional. I declined as I had a bulb at home and it would be cheaper to go replace it myself, then pay $45 again for a fresh inspection. Firestone also indicated I had 'extensive sidewall cracking' on all 4 tires and was risking a blowout, and also needed a new battery. Their estimate for everything was about $1100. When I indicated I was not willing to do any of these recommendations, they offered to replace the bulb for only $17, which I did. Once they were done, I took my car to Les Schwab and they indicated there was NO cracking on ANY of my tires, much less anything 'extensive'. I feel like Firestone absolutely set out to make me question my safety if I did not immediately spend $778 on tires, and the difference between the $90 I was quoted originally and the $17 I ended up paying for a light bulb makes me think they are unethical in their regular day to day interactions with customers. read more

Driving through town and I was hit on the way. My check engine light came on and I called this location because my home location was always great. Was told that they would need my car 4 to 6 hours to run a Diagnostic test. Drove to o'Reillys and it was done in 10 mins. Sounds as if this location is lazy and want to charge for a service that takes 10 mins at 4 to 6 hours of labor. I'd stay away as it's sounds fishy! read more

Unfortunately, I should have read the reviews prior to. My experience was absolutely appauling in dealing with Steve. Which seems to be the common denominator in the horrible customer service. His arrogance and condescending demeanor is unbelievable. I took my car in and dropped it off at 12. Was told it would be 2 to 3 hours as they were busy. Not a big deal. With no call I returned at 330 assuming even if it wasn't complete, I could wait since we were trying to shuffle kids around for appointments. When I got there, my vehicle had not even been started. Steve said, were busy, it is what it is. When I stated a simple courtesy call that it was taking longer would have been nice, he just laughed and walked away. I left pissed off. Got a call an hour and a half later that my car was finally done. Came back to pick it up and was met with the same disgusting customer service and lack of care. With even more arrogance. I definitely will not be returning for anything from this business while they allow someone like that to work there. With multiple reviews against him personally. Considering at the same time , I got a quote for my other vehicle in the amount of $1500 for tires and brakes. Something I had planned to schedule this week. If It's Not broke...Don't charge to fix it. long story short, we had an alignment done at the Kennewick WA location and they tried to convince us that the car needed an additional $3000 in repairs. We left to get a second opinion and had Two other shops look at the car, both said the car was fine and did not need the repairs Firestone was trying to sell us. read more

15 months later, the overcharged Firestone brake job is done. So not only did they over charge me by twice the normal amount, but it was not done right. Brakes should last much longer than 15 months. I had a good mechanic, All Automotive Services, do the job correctly. And they have a 2-year, 24 month warranty to stand by their work. Stay away from Firestone. read more

Great place to have work done. I've been a Firestone customer for a good 8 years now across the nation. All of them, to include this location have always been honest and fair. They gave me a price for a tire replacement, I brought my car in, took them a couple hours which was explained to me it would, and it was done correctly. Not sure why anyone would ever go here when there are so many better options in the area. I get free rotations with Firestone because I bought tires there from another location a couple years ago. They were the only place open and I was in a pinch. Each time (without fail) that I have returned for a rotation, they have sheared off tire studs trying to remove the lug nuts. This has not happened at any other shop, including doing them myself a couple times. Most recently, they sheared off 2 then gave me a quote to fix them for $500. 16 of those dollars were for parts, and the rest was labor. This 500 dollar quote was given with the wheels removed and a complete understanding of the work that would be needed. Also, even though the appointment was scheduled weeks in advance, I was there for over 3 hours. For a tire rotation... I declined getting the studs fixed and called Les Schwab on my way home. They quoted the job at $60.00, so I'll probably go with the option that is 1/10 the cost and much more reliable. read more

They called my spouse at 3:20 pm to say the car will be another 45 minutes. It had never moved from the parking spot. I returned to Firestone at 3:25 and it was still in the lot. They told me the car would now be ready at 4 pm. I had another appointment at 4 pm clear across town in West Richland. read more

They couldn't provide us with details regarding what was wrong with my car, nor did they tell us that a shin was needed until the car was off the rack and ready to be picked up. The weekend manager at this location is extremely rude. Called to have a set of wheels mounted on tires on a Sunday morning. When we got there, they said they couldn't do it due to liability issues, which was understandable, but the way the manager told us he could not do it was very short and rude. Today we took our Dodge Dart into Firestone on Columbia Center, Kennewick to get the AC Blower fixed because it was only working 20% of the time. Driving home in 110 degree weather isn't fun, so we wanted to get the blower fixed to avoid dealing with this inconsistent issue. We dropped the car off with the mechanic telling my husband the plan of action and printing out an estimate for us, and they told us it would be done within 3 hours. 5 hours later and no phone call, WE called them to ask on the status of our vehicle. They proceeded to tell us the car has been ready (thanks for no call) and that when THEY turned on the car, the AC was working so they didn't want to take anything apart if it was working. Even though my husband literally told him that SOMETIMES it will work but most of the time it does not work. The guy proceeded to argue with my husband even though we were basically begging to get the damn AC blower fixed. They did not want the liability of taking it apart if its working at the moment which honestly makes ZERO sense. But I have a brain and they apparently do NOT. They also told my husband it would be over $600 to fix even though the estimate was barley $400, just seemed like they were trying to get out of doing the work. So after 5 hours of no car, we went to pick our vehicle up and was surprised when they told us they would be charging us $100 for UN KINKING THE WASHER FLUID TUBE. And also told us that we got a DEAL because the mechanic lost out on paid labor time since they gave us a discount. THE BALLS THIS COMPANY HAS IS PATHETIC. And since Firestone is so confused on why we are mad, let me just explain in case this isn't enough: 1. When you KNEW you weren't going to fix the problem that we brought our vehicle to you with, you should have immediately called us and asked US what further action we wanted to take. 2. The washer fluid was a SIDE ISSUE which we only wanted dealt with if the blower was going to be worked on because its pointless to get such a minuscule thing fixed if the actual ISSUE of the car isn't going to be fixed. 3. You are a MECHANIC. You shouldn't need a car working properly at the moment to dictate if you need to fix it or not. When the customer is telling you that the AC works SOMETIMES but not all the time, and we want it to work 100% of the time, then you shouldn't need a little 'machine' to tell you what is broken and what is not. If the AC is only working 20% of the time, NEWSFLASH its broken. 4. I highly recommend your management and employees learn some customer service. I should not have been charged a DIME today, and the fact that I was charged and left with such SHITTY customer service, shows how little your company cares about it's customers. If you made it to the end of this review, I am sure you know I am SO SERIOUS when I say that you could literally take your car to WALMART and get better service than this crap shoot. Note this review is only for Kennewick. My experience in Pasco is way better. I am starting to feel like this might not be my "go to" place any more. For literally 10+ years I have brought my vehicles here for nearly everything. New Tires, Oil Changes, maintenance, repairs, etc. In the last year there have been a number of things that are making me change my mind. Here are 4 of my most recent experiences starting from the most current. 1. Bought the lifetime alignment. I call to schedule an alignment and all is good to get me in that day until they realize its free because of the lifetime alignment, then Sunday is the soonest they can get me in. Grrr 2. Had a very slow leak in my tire. Took it in to get repaired. They found a screw, removed it, then told me that it is in the center of the tire and normally they could repair it, but there is another patch too close so they wont. Then they put the tire on and pulled it out for me after I told them I'm not buying new tires...Now that the screw was out, the Very Slow leak turned into a fast leak. Luckily there was a tire store just down the street that patched it for free. I felt like it was a tricky move to force me to buy new tires right then. 3. Was experiencing a grinding noise in my vehicle. Took it in and they told me they balanced the tires and that I need a new rear bearing. Well on my new wheels that i purchased from them they applied a bunch of steel weights in the areas that are exposed and made them look like crap. If you have ever bought custom wheels, the purpose is for them to look good. They apologized and removed them, but in doing so they scratched the wheels up...now I have scratched wheels. Then they told me the wheels really aren't that great after telling me they were some of the best they had when selling them to me. 4. Had a check engine light. Took it in and they told me it was basically my entire emissions system that needed to be replaced to the tune of $600 or $800 I cant remember exactly. I googled the problem and bought a $35 part online which fixed the light and issue associated with it. It isn't right to just replace everything that could be wrong associated with a code. In general I like the guys there. I know them on a first name basis. I just feel like they are not taking the time to really provide the customer service or value that I would expect. He insisted my car was AWD and needed 4 new tires instead of the one I requested (which was popped by by husband hitting a curb). I had to insist my car was indeed not AWD and did not need 4 tires and also had to convince him my car was what it was-- he considered it a much fancier version of what it was (like Lexus vs Toyota). I had to visit this shop for an oil leak repair, but turns out one of the workers seems to be young and unexperienced of cars telling me that I should be rebuilding the engine. I had to wait more than one hour to be told this which makes me think this shop is a waste of time. read more

Great Location. Had my tire blow out on the way home from Pullman to Vancouver. I got towed in 30 minutes before close and they got me a fabulous deal to fix two of my tires and I replaced all four for a steal of a deal. Not I oh did they stay open past closing to get me back on the road, when we left my car was pulled right up front with the front door cracked open (it doesn't open from the outside). This one is ongoing...it will be updated. Had these guys replace my battery. I needed it done quick so I had then do it with my oil change. I was shocked at the price, explained that I figured they were asking $40 too much for a battery. The manager replied that they sold interstate batteries, best on the market. Well, I have been able to drive it home and that's all. The new battery won't start the truck. When I called yesterday they said they would send a tech to my home. I called today when he didn't show up and they now don't know who I am....waiting for a call back. One other thing...not one of my stations on the radio reset with the new battery. Update: I didn't have time to deal with it yesterday because of my schedule. Today I popped the hood and found their technicians never bothered to tighten the cable on the positive terminal.
