I want to send a special shout out to Rolando at Firestone for making my day. It was an extremely stressful day trying to figure out what was wrong with my car. Long story short I had taken my car in to have the battery tested and he explained how the battery had tested bad. I had purchased my battery just over 3 years ago and thought for sure I would have to drop money into a new one. Because the 3 year warranty ended in June I had expected to just have to pay. He kindly said because the warranty date was so close to today he would change it out only for the fee for a technician to change it. 18.00!!!!!! Thank you very much, Rolando. I went to the Pflugerville Firestone and was told I would need to leave my car basically for a day. I went to the Hutto and the wait was 1 1/2 hours but it was busy. They did a great job. They completed my brakes in 4 hours, but again it was busy. They were friendly and efficient. I would recommend them. read more

I swear every tire place that I have been to in Hutto has been nothing but complete garbage! Never in my life I have been so damn disappointed with Firestone until today. I notified the auto clerk that there may be a nail in one of my tires because my low tire pressure came on and it happened the last time. Well, the nice snobby assholes behind the counter told me "Yes, there is a nail in your front tire, but you gotta come back in the morning for an appt cuz we cant squeeze you in tonight." I looked at my phone and it was only 5:30pm, plus they didnt close until 7pm!! I was very disappointed in the response I got and I politely told her "Sorry lady, but I don't live here, and I have a very long drive to work in the morning, this is ridiculous, you've lost my business in Hutto!" So, lesson learned don't waste your time here and go to Wal-Mart in Round Rock down the road, cuz those guys in RR were super freaking awesome they took in my car at 6pm to patch my tire for $10 and they also close at 7pm too! read more

The worst place in town to take your car. A very long waiting period only to get a car inspection. They take about two or three hours. An awful and unprofessional customer service. In my past personal experience, the times I've been there, they always try to make up unnecessary and costly repairs. They send you promotions that you thought were going to save you some money, instead you leave the auto place with a costly repair bill. Wow! What horrible service. Would not even honor coupons off of their website! If a tire is 94.99 regular price and the second is 50% off equals 47.50 for a total of 142.49. Now add 28 for mounting and balancing for a grand total of $170.49! They told me it would cost $218!!!!! Stay away unless you want to get screwed. They cant even do basic math! "November 30th I took my car into Firestone in Hutto due to the heater not working. After getting the $100 diagnostic, the manager, Rolando Ramirez informed me that I needed a thermostat replacement, blend door actuator replacement, and coolant flush. At that point, due to lack of funds, I chose to only get the thermostat replaced so I could have some hot air to take my 3 yr old son where we needed to go. By the time it got cold out again a few days later, the hot air wasn't blowing. I brought it in on Dec 7th to get the rest of the recommended service. I picked the car up on the 8th, and by the evening of the 9th, not only was it not blowing hot air but the car began to overheat. Id have to pull over and let it cool just to make it to work and back. I brought it in again on the 10th and they got the heat working for 24 hours then it was back to cold air and overheating. Finally, after dropping it off on dec 12th, they diagnosed that the head gasket was blown and it would be an over $2000 repair. By this point I have paid over $500 in repairs. During a subsequent converstion with Rolando he informed me "i don't have to give you any money back". I let him know that i should get all of my money back bc the problem wasnt diagnosed correctly in the first place. He told me "you can take $300 or you can take nothing". I agreed at the time because its all I could do. However, when I got there to pick up the car, he had adjusted that to $269. Saying he did the numbers and that was half. At this point, not only did he not give me all my money back, he went back on the amount that we agreed upon. I feel that my service and diagnosis was botched and I was strongarmed robbed out of my money. Id like someone besides Rolando to contact me in this matter." I submitted that feedback on the firestone.com website and received a call from Charlie the next day. He agreed that I should have be refunded all my money and saw to it that it was all refunded. His statement was "We do it right or it's free". Im not sure why the store manager, Rolando Ramirez, couldn't understand that concept. Pathetic excuse of a business. Worst place I've ever tried to get my oil changed, showed up for my 6:00pm appointment at 5:30. I checked in and they said it'll be done around 6:45. I waited till around 7:05 for them to tell me that they won't be getting to it today and that they do not do 6:00pm appointments in the first place... why would they not tell me that when I checked in is beyond my knowledge...but long story short, there are better places in the area to get your tires rotated and oil changed. Never trust Firestone Hutto. I have been a long time customer, but never again. I went in for low tire pressure and an inspection. They came back with finding a nail and the tire was not repairable. Along with the inspection revealed I need a $500 pinon shaft seal fix, and a $1600 ball/joint job. I told them to replace the tire and i'd get back to them on the other two jobs. I took my truck to the dealer and found out the pinon shaft did have a slow leak, but the $1600 ball/joint job was completely false. Absolutely nothing wrong. Has me wondering if the tire was really not repairable. I have absolutely no proof of commissions on big jobs. But i heard rumor that the same guys diagnosing these problems get a commission around 5% of the job. Had I not run it past another mechanic to check it out, i would have had the job done and never known the scam. This really angers me to no end. In case Firestone wishes to dispute this, my invoice states service occurred on 6/8/2017 11:24AM on work order ending in 5432. After having multiple bad experiences with the Firestone on Limestone in Pflugerville, we have tried this place out several times! They have been AWESOME... Fixed my flat when another place couldn't, they ordered me special tires when i asked and didn't make me feel bad about it.... changed my oil, and took my coupons without any up charges. This Firestone is amazing! LOVE them - DO NOT USE the Firestone in Pflugerville off Limestone, It's worth the drive to come to the Hutto one. This place has done us right the last 3 times we have used them. I truly hope it stays that way. read more

Had a 9 am appt at this location that I scheduled the day before for 4 tires because the round Rock locations alignment equipment was down and the would not be able to check the alignment. Got there before 9 and was told should be about an hour. Left at 12:10.... And alignment was not check because apparently according to the staff if you don't ask for the free alignment check when getting new tires it is not automatically done. There staff said they could do the free check but honestly I didn't feel like waiting another few hours for that so I'm gonna have to figure out taking my car someplace else soon to get the alignment checked... If I could suggest something, set proper expectations and do what is said to be included automatically and all of this would have probably not been an issue as I would have left the car there instead of waiting for it and would not have to go and get the alignment checked separately ( and probably have to pay for it when it should have been free) read more

I went in to get my front end aligned and after waiting 2 1/2 hours they tell that they can't do my alignment because my lower ball joints were out and they could put new ones in for $967.00. So I took it to NTB and they said nothing about my ball joints and got my alignment done with no problem. So obviously the people at firestone have no clue what they are doing and are just trying to make things up to get people's money I will never go back and would never recommend them to anyone. If I could give them a negative rating I would have. I received my car back with scratches, nicks and tool marks on several places in my interior besides the oil and grease stains on my floor and interior parts of my vehicle. Also to mention they didn't put everything back together correctly. They were very difficult to work with I had to call them to find out when my part would come in to be told its been here and called to find out the status of my vehicle with no response. I showed up for them to tell me I need to bring it to the dealer to finish the repairs and wanted me to deliver it to the dealer myself. They were very unprofessional throughout this whole process and I will never return to Firestone for any type of repairs or service. They should have stuck to fixing tires only, but Discount tire is still much cheaper and more easy to work with. The Manager Rolando Ramirez should have stepped up and made this right instead of passing these problems back the consumer, Firestone should have better management training for being such a large company or they chose the wrong employee for the job here. I would expect to receive my vehicle back in the same condition and repaired before I would pay and take possession back. They should have done the leg work to make this right. read more

I rate Firestone a ZERO but will not let me.. Had a rental car and the rental car place told me to go to Firestone cause they have an account will I went to Firestone in Pflugerville at 615 inwhich they close at 700 the salesman inside stated that we can put air in your tire, im sorry I didnt say the warning lights for the tire came on. But they could not fix the tire if anything else was wrong with it cause they were about to close will needless to say it had a nail the guy just aired the tire up and noticed a nail and he said you have a nail but can't fix it till tomorrow within that time the tire lost 2 psi just in that length of time. Firestone would not fix the tire which might have taken 15 minutes they closes at 700. Im a woman with arthritis knees, back, and hands i couldn't believe they wouldn't take care of a customer cause they were closing in 45 minutes to me this is bad customer service. I do understand rules before customer, come on something that would take 15-20 minutes with air tools. Now im screwed i live in a different city and im stranded cause the tire went on flat and the rental place ain't no better i have to pay 55.00 to get someone to come change the tire. Im hoping to inform people so this will not happen to anyone. My mom has passed but she was a firm believer of Firestone but this experience has differently opened my eyes to Firestone dont go here especially women im a woman and got no help i mean no help. Dropped off my car at 9:30AM to have 4 tires installed, and I requested that they check my brakes. I had an appointment, so I returned at 11:00AM to find my car on the rack with tires off, so I am thinking that it wouldn't be much longer. WRONG! I did not get my car till 2:00PM, and then found out that they didn't check my brakes. They did however check my wiper blades(4 months old), and was told they needed to be replaced! I watched my car for over two hours on the rack without seeing one person touch it! Had I not asked when my car would be ready, I think I would have been there another hour or so. read more

A few months ago I took my car in to have the brakes redone. They were starting to go due to normal wear and tear, it was about time. So I went to Firestone, and within a week they started screeching horribly every time I braked. I called and took it back, and they informed me that since they couldn't replicate the noise, there was nothing to be done, but they were going to do a few things and see if they can make it better. Now, it's even worse. It's gotten to the point where I'm used to the screeching, and refuse to take my car back for them to mess w the brakes even more. Then I took my car in for a routine oil change. After all was said and done, they informed me that I was in need of a new left axle and my engine value had to be replaced. This would cost me upwards of $800 dollars. I have a good warranty on my car, so wasn't too concerned, but decided to go to my normal mechanic (Chris Tovar). The guy who works there, Mike, said that lately a lot of people have been coming in with comments that this same Firestone said that they needed to fix something, and it being completely false. He looked at my car, and even pointed out the things they said were wrong and showed me how they were perfectly fine. I'm not too knowledgeable on cars, and had I not gotten a second opinion I would have spent almost a thousand dollars on something that didn't need to be done. It's shameful and embarrassing for a business to be conducting this kind of behavior. At the end of the day, I wonder about all the people who have taken their car to Firestone and actually fallen for the money grabbing techniques. Scheduled 9am appointment to have 4 new tires mounted and balanced. Seeing how I had a 12:00 meeting I thought this would be plenty of time. WRONG. I showed up 45 minutes early. Was told my truck would be pulled into shop in 15-20 minutes. It was, then it sat there til 9. It seems they would work on it then get distracted and start something else not to mention busy looking at their phones. Took 3 hours to change 4 tires. Then they come in to tell me one of my lugs won't go back on. Guess they didn't hand start it before putting the impact on it. What's the point of making an appointment if your not gonna focus on that job and get it done. Done with Firestone. So weeks later I email back and forth and it lead no where. Waste of time trying to get someone to be responsible at this location. read more

I've have had excellent experiences here and terrible ones too. I will be Switzerland in my eval. I hope to have more positive ones in the future. I guess it depends on who is working that day. I normally use them for all my tire needs. Firestone has a policy where they will not mount used tires or even fix trailer tires. This policy is usually waived when the tire is one I bought new from them. I've been turned away twice for this. Discouraging when I had been loyal to them to have to go else where. Other times, they are very accommodating, fixing trailer tires on the spot or having new ones reasonably priced and installed in a timely manner on trailers and my truck. I wouldn't hesitate to try them for yourself, you may get some one that actually is happy you came to them! read more

I took my vehicle in for a shaking problem that happened immediately following an incident when I was forced to run over a curb. They came back with a myriad of problems (2 of which I am already aware and didn't need addressed) and the 2 they were to fix prior to the requested alignment (what I thought was the problem) were to cost over $900 in repairs. The total invoice they wanted to do was nearly $1600, but that wasn't going to happen as I only needed and wanted the particular issue I brought the vehicle in for initially addressed and nothing else. I called my regular mechanic (he doesn't do alignments which is the ONLY reason I didn't take it to him first) and explained what it was said that I needed, per Firestone, and he quoted me less than half of Firestone's quote after looking up the parts and labor. Missy, the young lady at the front desk did say, nicely enough for sure, that any outside mechanic will ALWAYS cost less than they will. I took my car to my regular mechanic instead. Upon further inspection, my car did NOT have the issues they said it had, not whatsoever like what they quoted, instead it was simply a very badly bent rim (which they never mentioned). They took special care to look for the problems Firestone diagnosed (regarding the shaking) and found there to be NO concerns other than the badly damaged rim. While waiting for the new rim, they put my spare on the vehicle for safe driving and it's as if the problem NEVER existed. So, even after quoting me less than half of Firestone's quote, my mechanic still inspected my vehicle prior to beginning work and ended up not even having to do any major repair work or expense. That is what honestly and integrity is about!!!! Furthermore, I told the lady, that my car was old and not worthy of particular investments. My ONLY concern was to keep it legal and safe to drive. Apparently to them, that meant, fictionalizing unnecessary work and over the top charges. Here's the sad part, I'm an honest person. I prefer t keep it real and not lie to anyone. I expect the same in return. My bad I guess. But a major corporate entity such as Firestone should be more honest with the clientele or else they will end up losing them. Now I realize that to a corporation, we are expendable as another schmuck will come along and you can take them for all they've got. And to some extent this is true. But this is a small town, and word of reputation goes a long way. I will NOT be going back there EVER again for ANY reason, and I have NOTHING but ILL things to say. I will tell everyone about the scam they are swindling and to not waste their money on them. The staff was courteous and polite to me, absolutely, as they tried to steal my money away from me. They won't be receiving my business or good word now or anytime in the near or distant future. read more

The worst Firestone around! They are like criminals! My wife was trying to take care of the routine maintenance on my truck while I was at work and they charged her more than $250 for a tune up! Then, my truck ran worse than it ever had, and they told her it would cost a additional $350 too make it run as smooth as it was when she brought it in. Romero is the worst! He overcharged her for replacing spark plugs then when he couldn't time it properly, he told my wife she had to buy more parts! Scam artists! Then, when my wife was so angry about it, he continued to lie about the parts, but changed the price. He also didn't give her the "old parts", and didn't have the guts to face her when he had "finished the job". Something that took mere moments, but he was trying to bill for multiple hours of labor! We usually go to the Firestone in Pflugerville off of Limestone but we were in need of an oil change on a Sunday and they said this location would be faster since they were "dead". We normally get charged I think it's $60 something dollars for a fully synthetic oil change for our Jeep. After coupons the total came to $75 or so. I wasn't sure why the total would be different and I mentioned it to my husband and he looked at the paper work- they charged us for an extra quart of oil. Odd because our manual for the Jeep states 5 quarts. My husband checked the dip stick it was past the MAX line. Really your mechanics can't read that?! We went back in and explained the problem. The manager apologized and went to tell them to pull it back in. Shortly after that this burly guy comes from the garage and says that aftermarket oil filters sometimes hold more oil and ours does. My husband says that's odd because aftermarket is supposed to be exactly like the dealer item and besides that he's never heard of one taking a QUART MORE of oil. The guy says well yeah it's just that way. I chimed in and said that was funny because the other location in Pflugerville has never needed to put an extra quart of oil before. He says well I guess I will give you just 5 quarts then. So rude! We get our car back and our credit back for the oil and my husband immediately calls customer service. Over filling someones vehicle with oil is dangerous! I would rather wait 5+ hours at the limestone location than ever go back here again! I guess we now know why it was "dead".... read more

Took my work van to a firestone in Pflugerville first it sat there for 4 hours until I went back to pick it up bc I had to go to work and not one thing had been done on it! They said "we got busy". After saying a few things I left without anything being done and a wasted half day. So the next morning I bring it to Firestone in Hutto. I drop of off at 11:30am it is now almost 6 and I had heard nothing... so I call them they put me on hold and yet again they we just now going to be taking it back! I needed Amy inspection along with a check on my van bc anything over 65 my whole van shakes. Well 645 they call that it's ready. I asked if they had test drove it to see if vibration was gone well I'm assuming they did so they call me back saying I need 2 new tires yet I bought 4 new tires from this exact store this past February! Well I go Sunday to pick it up around 4 and they were just barely finishing up. Now at 55 miles the vibration is even worse!!! 3 freaking days!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE. Went to this place for a couple of tires and an inspection. They told me it would be a hour to a hour and a half. After three hours they got the tires on but broke a stud off and it wouldnt pass inspection. I took the car a put a stud on myself. I took the car back to them for the inspection 45 minutes before they closed and Zack the acting manager told me they still had three inspectors there and it wouldnt be a problem. Ten minutes later he tells me that they wouldnt be able to do it. I told him after spending two hundred dollars on tires and them breaking off the stud they couldnt take an extra ten minutes and inspect my car. He snapped at me and said I didnt break the stud off and his guys needed to go home. At that point i was done with firestone. I will not give them another penny of mine. HORRIBLE SERVICE. read more

We had a mishap with our trailer on Toll30 recently where all three of our tires blew (super heavy load) around 5pm one evening. After attempting to find a certain tire at other nearby tire locations (since we didnt want outr trailer so dit abandoned over night) we called the hutto store and were successful with a match. However we called about 5min til closing. The guys working the shop stayed open to help us, Geoff and Roger I believe. They were super helpful. They went above and beyond helping us by calling a mobile tire changerto come to where the trailer was stranded on the toll and eneded up staying after hours 30min plus to make sure we were taken care of. On top of it, days later I recieved a call just to check in on us to make sure we were taken care. That follow up call meant alot. I give Geoff and Roger (think that was his name) two thumbs up. I took my car in for an A/C service after realizing that on the highest setting, my vents were barely able to pass a whisper of air... I wouldn't necessarily say that the first guy greeted me when I walked in. I mean, he kind of sat there, glanced in my general direction and then called out for someone else and then went back to whatever he was doing. No worries - Geoff came and talked to me to start getting to the bottom of what was going on with my A/C. About 2 hours later, he called to tell me what the problem was: a severely congested air cabin filter (which I didn't even know I had) and he told me exactly how much it would be. Another couple of hours and the job was done. Geoff showed me the filter and explained the problem, and he did it in a way that was more informative than admonishing - a very welcome approach. The guys there definitely helped to make my summer drives a heck of a lot more comfortable! read more

DECEPTIVE PRACTICE ALERT!!!! I took my wife's vehicle to this location for a tire rotation, balance, and alignment check on Saturday 6/21/2014. While they did their "complimentary service check" they noted that the engine air filter was dirty (hand written by the technician) and suggested replacement. I noticed this while reviewing the paperwork at home. What Firestone did not know was that I had just taken the vehicle to the dealer for service on Tuesday 6/17/2014 where the same air filter was replaced. I went out to check the filter myself thinking that the dealer charged us for the filter but did not replace it BUT the filter was absolutely spotless! My wife called the Hutto Firestone and spoke with the manager to inquire why the technician hand wrote "dirty" and checked the yellow "sugg" box. The manager became defensive and attempted to explain that if it was noted as "dirty" that doesn't necessarily mean it is dirty, it's just something to keep an eye on for future visits. We told him that it seems very deceptive to write dirty and suggest replacement on the paperwork when that is not the case. He continued to defend the actions of the tech so we ended the conversation. This seems to be a company wide issue. A couple of years ago I took my truck for an alignment at another location and was told there were brass shavings in my brake fluid. They called me to recommend having the lines flushed before I picked it up but I was close by so I stopped and asked them to show me the problem. We went out to the truck and they were unable to reproduce ANY brass shavings from my brakes. They then changed their story and said that due to the mileage on the truck there are likely brass shavings so they recommended flushing the brakes. They could not answer why they claimed to have seen shavings then changed their story once I demanded proof. The first time this happened at Firestone I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but now it's happened again! How many people have been scammed by these deceptive practices? I had them diagnose and repair an issue with my chevy truck gas tank. They told me i needed a new tank, but could save a lot by replacing with a used tank. I agreed and they replaced with a used tank. Afterwards, they told me the car sputtered and would stall. They investigated and told me i needed a new fuel pump. So, another $400 plus to fix. When i got the truck back, i drove for a while and then the engine light came on. I took it back to them and they told me it was catalytic converter and o2 sensors and other items with total over $1,200. After researching, it was obvious they did not clean out the used fuel tank and ran contaminated gas through my system after installing it which caused all the issues. I asked them and they refused to take responsibility for this and said it must have been this way when i brought it in. shame on you for not standing up for your work and taking responsibility. Everyone, stay AWAY from the Firestone in Hutto. They replaced the wrong tire on my car, sent me and my two children away with my car still shaking so bad it felt like my tire was going to fall off, blaming my ball joints and a wheel bearing. My husband took the tire they took off my car, put in place of the clearly bad tire and the car is driving like a charm. The only resolve the assistant manager had for me was to sell me two more tires with a $30 discount. Also, the employee, James, lied to me telling me someone else was the manager and that person seem to avoid my phone calls. BTW nothing is wrong with my ball joints nor my wheel bearing. read more

Ridicules.....Spoke with Rolando about a warranty on tires that have 11k miles on them and was basically dismissed. I hope he is good at paperwork, because he is deficient in customer service!
