The employees are friendly and professional. I needed rear brakes to get back home on Labor Day weekend. I got an appointment for Sunday at 1 pm, and scheduled online. The employees did not see the appointment and took multiple other appointments first. I don't want to assume they were ahead of me in any queue, but I didn't get brakes until Tuesday. I called several times to inquire because I was told that if they couldn't get to me on Sunday that they would get to me Monday. Monday was Labor Day, so it's likely a smaller crew was working that day. Employees may have called off at the last minute, too. Recommend management look into online scheduling system for gaps or glitches. I was given an accurate cost estimate. It cost $559 and some change for rear brakes (including rotors) for my 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander. The Labor costs seem somewhat standard--moderate to high cost. Parts are marked up, seemingly over twice the cost. This seems the norm in our post-Covid economy and current Presidential administration. Family members do a lot of automotive work, so I am familiar with costs. All the aforementioned being said, I am grateful to the Hazleton Firestone for getting me back on the road. Holiday weekends are always a bad time to need car repairs. I appreciate Reilly's professional demeanor, and clearly explaining everything related to getting new rear brakes. I made an appointment for an oil change tire rotation. Brought my car in at appointment time and waited across the street for about four hours before I figured I should give them a call and see what's going on. They told me that my car would be the next to go in so I sat nearby where I could see the garage bay doors. When they finally brought my car inside, I kept an eye on things just to see how quickly it would be done and not one of my tires was taken off to be rotated. I of course was still charged for a tire rotation, I do have to admit the price for the oil change was decent if you're willing to wait 6 1/2 hours for it to be done read more

This review is overdue. We were in the middle of a 9 hour trip to start a vacation on 7/10/21 when a light came on in our 2003 Honda Odyssey. The service station we stopped at couldn't help us but recommended we check with Firestone. When we got there, based on our description, it was determined that it was probably our alternator. Rachel was doing her best to help us. They did not have the alternator we needed in stock but she made some calls and managed to find one. Mike (I think that was his name) drove out to pick it up and the master mechanic agreed to stay long enough to finish it even though the amount of time it should take would put him past his end time. It says "Anthony" on the receipt but I remember he had a nickname which I meant to remember for this review! Anyhow, we were in two cars and the alternative (f they had not found one 15-20 minutes away) was going to be that my husband would be staying until Monday (it was nearly 5pm on a Saturday) before they could get and replace the alternator and then he would have had to drive up to join us after it was replaced. Buddy of mine traded me his car less than two months ago. Right before he traded he took it to this place for a new catalytic converter and exhaust pipe. Less than two months later bolt on exhaust pipe is broke. I call since I still have paperwork of the work they just did and guy tells me that since I'm a different person it voids any warranty on the work they did and they are not responsible for the work they did. Terrible place, rude and non responsive. Will never come back! Brought my car in a 8 am to get the tire fixed. They said it will be done by 10 am. I arrived at 9 :10 am and waited for the car. At 10:10 the manager called me and told me that I needed a new tire and it would take another hour and a half. I asked why they had not asked me earlier as I was sitting right there. I would give zero stars if I could. I specifically asked for the technicians to be careful with my freshly painted wheel. It is now ruined. A few hundred dollar paint job trashed over a $20 tire repair. I discovered at home on a Saturday morning that I had a nail in my tire. Had bought the tires at Firestone with road hazard warranty. Rachel was very pleasant on phone and said could be 2 hour wait. When arrived she said will try and do her best. Within 45 minutes got a call tire was repaired. Rachel was great and I thanked her for being able to get it done so quickly. I went to Firestone to get my 2014 Chevy Silverado inspected. After 45 minutes they failed my inspection and came up with a total of over $1,700 worth of parts and labor including two new tires and brake light. They recommended me to spend over $2,900 to replace all 4 tires, ball joints, oil change, and a light bulb. I changed my light bulb myself, cost me $3 and took it to another place, they passed it for the cost of the inspection, I didn't need to spend thousands of dollars at Firestone for a vehicle inspection. read more

Deanna quoted me wrong on the phone and hung up on me. Most of the people who work their were goofing off chit chatting it up especially miss Deanna. People waited 10 mins in a line with not one person behind the desk helping them!! Obviously this place makes so much money that they feel that answering the phone and waiting on customers were a waste of their time!!! One young man gets the four stars because he actually came to the register fixed my car brought me back my car and gave me a 10% off for being a veteran. According to my recipient his name is Austin. Everybody else in this store gets 0 stars for standing around and joking giving high fives and not answering the phone or standing behind the DESK to help customers as they walked through the doors. I swear I and many other people stood there like dumb As$ because they would rather goof off behind the glass in the garage. Where we can plainly see them goofing off. My car didn't stay started when I woke up this morning. The tow truck guy said it was probably the battery and alternator. These guys took the time to inspect my car, figured it was just a very very bad battery and replaced it quickly. 2.5 hours later and $80 (!!!!!!!) for a standard oil change. How does an oil change take that long? In addition, they didn't put a reminder sticker on the windshield and my dashboard still flashes the maintenance req'd sign when I turn the car on. I drove home expecting my engine oil light to turn on because I have so little faith in their competence. I am going to be changing my own oil from now on. I thought that the convenience was worth it, but I will never take my car there again and will highly discourage everyone else to avoid it as well. I've been using Firestone Complete Auto Care for many years although I frequent their competitors as well. Currently we live in the Hazleton, PA area and whenever I need my tires rotated I end up at Firestone because there is usually a coupon available online that includes tire rotation for only $9.99. When I was younger I would do it myself. I still do my own oil changes and replace front brake pads etc., but I'm 72 now and often have back trouble that prevents me from doing what I use to do. In all the years I've been going to the Hazleton Firestone location they have never tried to sell me a service that I did not need. Still, I'm the sort of person that would seek a second opinion if I was told I needed a service that seemed overly expensive or unnecessary. If I need tires or a new battery I always look for coupons or sales and don't automatically go to the same place. Firestone Complete Auto Care has always treated me in a professional and fair manner. read more

I was stuck in Hazelton with a burst tire and was traveling from Florida to Scranton. Even though their location didn't have the tire I needed, he called dozens of places until he found somewhere that would help, and saved us from being stranded!
