He came out to the car with me look at the tire and gave me all the options. It was slammed and he said it would be a long wait. He told me to come in tomorrow morning (Friday) at 7:30am and they would take care of it. He told me he wrote up the ticket and drop it off at the desk and it would be done first thing. I got there at 7:35am on Friday. When I went into the office there were 4 people in the waiting room. When I went to drop the keys off he then told me there was no ticket. Another worker who was not the nicest, asked me what the issue was and wrote up another ticket. He asked if I was waiting..I asked how long it was going to be and he couldn't give me an answer. So I decided to drop it off and walk home. The walk is around 3 miles so I wasn't too thrilled but I hoped it would be done soon. Around 11am we called and asked if it was finished or an estimate to when it would be finished. The man told my husband on the phone that we had 12 people in-front of us. I was there at 7:35am and it was 11am and I still had 12 people in front me of me??? Then he told my husband if I waited it would have been done faster...he told me that there were 12 people that dropped off this morning before me and they went in before me.. At 1pm my car was still not touched so when went back and picked it up. There was no sorry no nothing. He was also on the phone with another customer telling them that if they drop the car off at 7:30am it would be completed ASAP. I guess they didn't care if they got our service. I would never recommend them to anyone. I know they don't care but I hope no one has to experience what I did at Steve Shannon.

Sam and Codie at Steve Shannon in State College completely save the day!…read more We drove from NYC to PA for a special family reunion, and arrived with a flat tire (0 tire pressure, which I've never seen). This was shortly before the auto center was closing, but Sam kindly talked us through on the phone and waited for us to arrive to help fix. When we got there, Sam could not have been more helpful, professional and resourceful. We were set with our tires in no time. Then when Codie test drove the car, he noticed a strange noise -seems issue with wheel bearing. Most people would not have noticed that, especially since the shop was closing as they would have wanted us out. There would be no way we could have driven back to NYC like that- and we would have to wait until Monday when the shop would open again. (We all had work on Monday). Sam and Codie could not have been more accommodating. They stayed late and worked on the car, well after the shop was closed (not something most people would do on a Saturday night!). They made sure we were set. We are so grateful that they helped us out and made sure we were safe to drive back home. Honestly, we never have service like that in NYC. I would highly recommend Steve Shannon, and especially Sam, the best manager, and Codie, an exemplary technician. They care about their customers. Thanks to them we made it to the dinner reunion, and back home safely.

The employees did not see the appointment and took multiple other appointments first. I don't want to assume they were ahead of me in any queue, but I didn't get brakes until Tuesday. I called several times to inquire because I was told that if they couldn't get to me on Sunday that they would get to me Monday. Monday was Labor Day, so it's likely a smaller crew was working that day. Employees may have called off at the last minute, too. Recommend management look into online scheduling system for gaps or glitches. I was given an accurate cost estimate. It cost $559 and some change for rear brakes (including rotors) for my 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander. The Labor costs seem somewhat standard--moderate to high cost. Parts are marked up, seemingly over twice the cost. This seems the norm in our post-Covid economy and current Presidential administration. Family members do a lot of automotive work, so I am familiar with costs. All the aforementioned being said, I am grateful to the Hazleton Firestone for getting me back on the road. Holiday weekends are always a bad time to need car repairs. I appreciate Reilly's professional demeanor, and clearly explaining everything related to getting new rear brakes. He was thorough in explaining recommended future services. Thank you for a positive experience!

Brought my car in at appointment time and…read morewaited across the street for about four hours before I figured I should give them a call and see what's going on. They told me that my car would be the next to go in so I sat nearby where I could see the garage bay doors. When they finally brought my car inside, I kept an eye on things just to see how quickly it would be done and not one of my tires was taken off to be rotated. I of course was still charged for a tire rotation, I do have to admit the price for the oil change was decent if you're willing to wait 6 1/2 hours for it to be done

Was able to limp to Tom's hoping they might br able to help. They kept the shop open past when they typically close to accommodate us, quickly diagnosed the issue, and then Tom drove us in his own truck to a nearby hotel to wait out the repair. The team got up early the next morning and got us back on the road much quicker than I had expected and for a price which was more than fair. I can't thank them enough for going above and beyond to alleviate a bad situation. Wish I could transport them closer to home and make Tom's my go to auto shop.

I found tires r us and he was responsive and left what he was doing to come with his mobile service. I went here for the first time the other day for snow tires. I got a great price on two brand new…read moresnows for my car. Not bad... They were installed very quickly and I had minimal wait time.... My only complaint is a big one..... After mentioning that my lug nuts were over tightened by a previous installer they went and did the same thing! When I got my car home I had a very hard time loosening the lugs with an oversized snap-on breaker bar! My point is clear! If a family member of yours got a flat tire on the highway they would never be able to get the lugs off to change the tire especially if using the lug wrench that came with the car! It appears that to get meticulous service like I ask for you still have to go to a professional garage that will use the correct tools to torque your wheels properly.
