I had two Firestone Transforce HT2 tires installed on my 2025 RAM 3500 (heavy-duty work truck). The installation process was smooth and the staff was professional. After leaving the shop, I checked the DOT code and noticed the tires were manufactured in 2022 (DOT 4222), which makes them over 3 years old at the time of purchase. I paid full retail price and was not informed about the production year. While the tires are technically new, I believe customers should be clearly informed when purchasing older production tires -- especially for commercial or heavy-duty vehicles. Transparency is important when paying full price. I hope the store improves communication about tire production dates in the future. read more

I had an appointment for tires. I arrived 10 minutes early. The service manager said he was busy. He made 3 phone calls and finally called me 15 minutes after my appointment time. Another 45 minutes later, I noticed that my car was still in the parking lot. When asked, he said they were busy. And I asked why no communication? And it would be at least another 20-30 minutes or 2 hours after my appointment. I left and went to another tire store and was out in 20 minutes. Communication would have made a difference read more

Today I made an appointment for an alignment, when I received my print-out Caster and Camber were still out and the steering wheel was not centered. I would say it was worse off then when I brought it here. When I questioned the young lady at the desk she looked me in the eye and said " Caster cannot be adjusted on your vehicle". I have a suburban and they absolutely have adjustments for caster and camber. Be aware, they will absolutely lie to you if they can here. read more

Good news first, Brian (I think was his name), is super friendly and welcoming. I took my car in for an inspection at the end of April. Long story short, it failed and the part I needed (rear shock valves) was quoted by Firestone at $500. Luckily, although I know nothing about cars, I know that a girl in her early 20's is likely to be ripped off by mechanics. I paid for my failed inspection and asked for the write up of what needed done so that I could take it to my family's trusted mechanic (only reason I didn't originally is because he is often booked and takes several days). He offers payments, so I figured if it actually was going to be $500 I could pay him in increments. Wouldn't you know it, for the inspection, replacement rear shock valves, and labor, $360. me and my grandpa had an appointment to get are front end aligned. our time was at 9:30 but it went in at 9:50 we then waited for 3 hours and my grandpa went to see what the where doing. they were all huddled around each other talking. eventually we payed and the guy that checked us out was super nice and told us they would overbook cause ing mad customers including us. there was also a man who hit a curb and popped his tire and asked Firestone if someone could help him in the parking lot and they said they can't help him in the parking lot so he had to do it him self. Got a puncture in my tire. I called Firestone and they got me in right away. They said they couldn't repair the puncture that I needed to buy a brand new tire. Which I thought sounded odd since the puncture was tiny. Had them put the spare on and drove it to another shop as a second opinion. They said it was fixable and patched it right away. Do not take your car here as they work on quotas and bonuses and try to get you to sign up for their credit card every time they talk to you. Very disappointed with this experience and thank god I went with my gut and took it to get a second opinion. read more

Very disappointed in how this turned out. We just moved to PA from MD and found out we had to do the inspections on all of our vehicles. I called around and no one could get me in right away except Firestone. I was relieved and happy and jumped on the opportunity. Took my Wrangler here to have it inspected and let them know 1) I work with General Motors so I know a bit about vehicles and 2) I just had a well-known Jeep dealership that specializes in off-road vehicles look over my vehicle to make sure everything was ok. I even just put new calipers, pads, and rotors on front and back. They came back telling me I needed upper and lower ball joints on my Jeep. They explained to me that Vince did the inspection and had it hooked up and that's what the readings said. When I called Adams Jeep in Aberdeen to let them know that I'm being told this work needs to be done for $1300, they told me that it would be about $900 there, but that they just looked over that complete system and didn't see anything that needed to be done. At this point, I reached out to my Chesapeake Jeep Club with over 6,000 members and it was recommended that I go to Restoration & Collision in Littlestown. They got me in right away and passed it within an hour of drop-off. Nothing needed... I have been tossing around what to do with this and will be looking into contacting the department that gives inspection certifications to file a complaint. I should have learned about Firestone's a long time ago when a location in Hawaii didn't hand torque the screw into my oil pan, stripping it and then turning around and charging me $600 for the repair on something they screwed up. WRONG OIL FILTER! Inspection and simple oil and filter change causes engine damage! This past week took my vehicle to Firestone Hanover PA for an inspection and since it was due for an oil change, an oil and filter change. When picking up the vehicle the engine oil light was on and the engine was ticking. We inquired to the "tech", we'll call him B, about the situation. He told us that the light was on when we dropped the vehicle off, which it absolutely was not. We drove the vehicle home but thereafter the vehicle would not start. After contacting the manager he had the vehicle towed back to their facility where they pulled the codes. The code came back as po520 and po600, relating to oil pressure switch. I was informed that it would cost 463$ to change the oil pressure sensor. Since I thought the quote was very high to change a simple sensor, I opted to drive the vehicle back to my house. I started looking at the vehicle and decided since the oil pressure light was NOT on previously, I would review the work performed. When I removed the oil filter cap I noticed that the filter appeared to be crushed into the filter housing. That didn't look good! I decided to purchase another filter from the local AA store. I replaced the filter and wualaa it's a miracle, or was it just using the correct replacement parts. The oil pressure indicator lamp turned off within 3 seconds and the check engine went off shortly there after. So, not only is B a horrible mechanic who cannot select the correct replacement oil filter, he is a liar as well. He went back and doctored the invoice/work order to state the oil pressure light was on when receiving the vehicle which was an absolute lie. We were quoted a repair cost for 463$ to repair a non existing problem, a problem that I fixed for less than 8$, and a problem created by their B. I have no idea what/how much internal engine damage has occurred by starving the engine of oil, but it did shut off several times driving it home. In closing, DO NOT take your vehicle to Firestone Hanover PA until/unless they remove this "tech" completely from the staff. He should not touch another vehicle and cannot be trusted not to falsify documentation. P.S. Mr. Bogast, the manager, is VERY professional and has my utmost respect for trying to resolve the problem. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. Set up an appointment was told it would take 1.5hrs to mount 4 tires and an alignment. At the hour and a half mark they finally pull my vehicle in. Then it took an additional 1.5hrs just to do the 4 tires. So now I'm in the position I won't make it to work on time. I told them to cancel the alignment. Long story short they wasted 3 hours on my day, I still need an alignment and I'll never go back again. read more

UPDATE: I called Firestone to let them know I passed inspection at another garage and that I would not bring my family's vehicles to Firestone in the future. The manager asked for the name of that garage and threatened to send the State Vehicle Inspector over there and close them down. WOW! No effort to to fix the situation, only threats. Be careful here. I went here for my truck inspection recently. First, they tried to get me to pay $90+ for an emissions diagnostic even though my truck was exempt from having to pass due to low mileage use. When you drive less5,000 miles a year on a vehicle you don't need that folks. Secondly, they claimed I needed $2,000 of work done to pass inspection. We moved to Hanover 8 years ago and take all of our vehicles here because every time we leave we're always stunned on how friendly and helpful these guys are here! The only thing that disappoints me is that it took me 8 years to give a review!! I would highly recommend Firestone off Eisenhower Blvd. I'm always last minute and they seem to always find away to get us in. We have never left and thought once how was that so expensive we always leave thinking wow that wasn't bad. These guys will definitely look after you. Like everyone else's reviews say... do NOT trust this place. If you don't already know what's wrong with your car they will tell you anything to squeeze money out of you. I would recommend price comparing with other places and/or getting a second opinion as this location is not reliable. I called another place in front of them in the lobby to price check for my flat tire after they tried to charge me $200 for a single tire and didn't even tell me why it was flat because they "didn't think to check". They were quick to drop the price but not before the old guy with a missing tooth gave a whole lot of attitude. Just for them to supposedly put a new tire on and it was flat again the next morning. Car repair shops are the worst, and its companies like these that give repair shops a bad name. Staff seems nice, but when I asked why the quote to replace TWO spark plugs was so high, especially since they were already replacing the coils under warranty (OVER $400 for about $60 in parts and 5 minutes in labor) I was told that they go off of "the book". So some corporate asshole that has no experience fixing cars sets a price and that's what they charge. I went in hoping to find a mechanic I can trust and left identifying another shop that only stays open by ripping people off. There is something called "Industry standards" and "industry best practices" and those standards usually involve a standard hourly rate and the cost of materials (usually with a small markup). What we have here is a company that THRIVES by ripping people off because either 1. they are in an emergency situation where they NEED their vehicle repaired, so they take advantage of people when they are vulnerable, or 2. people are not aware of how much parts cost and how much time a job should take to complete, so the company is able to screw the customer because they simply don't know any better. Over $400 for $60 in parts and 5 minutes worth of work is nothing less than robbery. NEVER take anything here that you have to pay out of pocket. Spread the word, because it's only through opportunities like this that we can run these criminals out of our town! read more

I noticed my coolant was low so I took it to firestone and they did a pressure test. They told me my upper and lower hoses were leaking coolant as well as the thermostat. I received a quote for 800.00. I declined getting it fixed and took it to the garage at the local dealership to be looked at. They said they could not find a leak (even showed me the hoses and thermostat case) and filled my coolant up to the full level. I have been monitoring it for a little over a week and so far the level in my container has not changed much, if at all. At this point I'm hesitant to return to firestone for any future service my vehicle would need. read more

If you're planning on coming here for an inspection PLEASE read other reviews. They quoted me over $2000 in work and said my car wouldn't pass inspection unless I had it done. Took it to my trusted mechanic in MD and they went over the car, said it did need breaks done but other than that confirmed that the rest was complete B.S. They've got a good hustle here at this Firestone... I know you have to meet quotas but it's wrong to rip off people who don't have $2000 to spend on stuff that isn't necessary. It's awful because they know that we have to have the inspection done yearly so I guess they figure it's an easy way to get $$$$. This will be my first and last experience here. I wanted to get my car inspected, but also wanted to get my power steering belt replaced. I told them when I called about everything I wanted and I was quoted no more than an hour. When I brought my car I reminded them about my belt and was still quoted an hour. After about 30 minutes Brian came into the lobby and went over the list of everything my car needed for inspection and went back out. I realized he didn't say anything about the belt so I said something to the receptionist who said there was a note in the computer about it and went back out to get Brian. They hadn't even looked at it. 2 1/2 hours later, still nothing. I said something once again and they went back out to get Brian who was more concerned about taking smoke breaks than working on my car. I ended up waiting for 3 hours and didn't even get my belt fixed. Do not waste your time or money!! read more

If I could rate them a zero I would. Worst experience with a garage EVER. Three times tried to offer me a "store card." Oil change is $70. Charged me for a tire rotation & the only way I knew the tires weren't rotated was because my tire went flat on my way home, in the same spot it was in before I went there. Couldn't change my flat because I didn't have my wheel lock key. Called them the following morning; around 8:30. The rep "had to look for it" he would call me back. At 10:30 I called them back; spoke with the same rep; sorry I didn't have time to look. I said I will wait. He put me on hold; 5 minutes later, he replies, "I can't find it; I was here on the first & I have a photographic memory, there are no new tools out there. He said I would have to come back in to the shop. I explained to the rep that due to my flat tire I couldn't since I no longer had the proper tool to change my tire.
