I had an excellent experience at the Firestone location in Fairborn, Ohio. I needed a tire replaced due to two holes, and thankfully my prorated warranty made the replacement less than half the original price--such a relief. I also needed a new battery, and the pricing for that was very reasonable as well. What truly set this visit apart was the outstanding customer service. The replacement tire was located at another Firestone, and instead of making me wait a couple of hours for delivery, the store manager, Wilson, actually drove to the other location himself to pick it up so I could get back on the road sooner. That level of dedication is rare and greatly appreciated. Another employee I had contact with, Karl, was outstanding, too. Appointments are always easy to make, prices are fair, and the staff consistently goes above and beyond. Someone I know repeatedly takes their vehicles to this business despite a long history of sloppy and overpriced work. I have been going to this particular Firestone location for years, ever since my first set of tires on my minivan. Yesterday, my van developed what I THOUGHT was a balance issue, or maybe a bearing issue. So I called Firestone and they got me right in, same day. They got my van up on the rack and within a few minutes called me back to show me the real problem: frozen caliper. They then went through the options (whole front brake job and caliper). I told them that I had just done the work about two weeks back and assumed the disk would have plenty of useful like on it (even if it developed a tiny, imperceptible warp due to heating, but it might have heated evenly and as long as it cools evenly it should be fine for a long it as it is essentially brand new), so all I wanted was a new caliper. We went back to the desk and he went over options. For same day work, I could get a good caliper in about an hour or I could wait another hour and get a decent one for 10 dollars less. I chose the better one and within about 2 hours I was back on the road. They even gave me the old part, as I am a tinkerer and will take it apart to learn how to service them for the next brake job I do on the van. Basically, I was so impressed with the service I receive many years ago for tires that this is the only place I go to for service. There's never any pressure to get extra work done, they do the work I want, and I get a fair price. Customer service is always on point, and their lobby is always clean and professional. This Firestone is the best! We were on our way home to Iowa when we heard a grinding noise coming from our brakes. Our calipers seizes up on both of our front brakes and wore down the front brake pads in the process. At first Bob told us that it would be a day before he could get the parts needed to fix our cars breaks but later on he called us with the good news that he was able to get the parts today and we could pick up our car before they closed. They tried to charge me $1000 PER TIRE to get my tires mounted and balanced... I know it sounds unbelievable, but I can promise you that they did. They told me that there was a lock nut on each tire that was going to cost extra to get off, but there's not. All the lug nuts are the same. Crooked people. Won't be back. read more

I don't think I have ever had an oil change done more quickly than at Firestone. I dropped my car off and they probably called me 20 minutes later. The staff is very friendly and worked on my car even though I dropped it off less than an hour before they closed. They are a little pricey though, even with a coupon. I would suggest looking for coupons before you take your car here for service. read more

We blew a tire on Memorial Day. They had the tire we needed in stock (called 7 places before we found them) and knowing we had 8 more hours of driving today they were extra quick about getting us on our way. Very friendly, clean bathroom and Star Wars on the TV. read more

Being from out of town in need of emergency tire replacement. This shop manager refused to help us at all giving us attitude the entire time. Claiming they were unable to change one tire for us as they would have to make others who werent there wait longer. I have worked in the automotive repair industry for 30 years. Everytime someone from out of town has needed emergency repair throughout the years, of the 9+ shops I have worked at we have always given priority to the people in need of emergency. Service here was great! I bought a new tire in a pinch and they offered me the best they had available. However, 3 months later when I take my car to the dealer for service, they inform me that 4 of my lugnuts are stripped and unsalvagable. He pointed where they came from and they were screwed in to the tire that was replaced by Firestone. It's scary to think that this Firestone would settle for shoddy work and jeopardize my safety to save time. read more
