I purchased a set of brand new tires from the Spring Valley location assuming that I would be good on tires for at least 25,000 miles. However, hydroplaning through 2 rain storms with a little over 9,000 miles of wear I discovered that both tires are completely bald!!!!! The guy Nate talked to me as if he was going to do me a favor by telling me "bring it in and I'll see what we can do". I decided to take my car to another Firestone location only to be told they could not find that I had purchased any tires (come to find out this was due to the fact that Spring Valley had entered the work order under a car I no longer own and didn't bother to fix it) Then I was given a replacement price of over $500 that Discount Tire beat by over $200. After sharing my experience with my co-work I was told "Yea, my family and I stop going to Firestone years ago".....Now you tell me!!!! Discount Tire customer for life!!!! read more

They are severely understaffed. Greg is always in the front by himself from open to close. I had a flat and was stuck at Northpark because my tire is a run flat and didnt come with a spare. I towed my car to Firestone because they were the only one open on Sunday. Firestone didn't have any run flat so they put a regular tire on my car with a deposit and waited for a run flat to come in. Good customer service. I will say, your attitude and how to treat others will sometimes play a big part in what type of services you get. read more

what a horrible experience. It was bad enough when the manager would not honor the firestone warranty on our tire. However, it got worse when we needed to replace one bad tire and he tried to tell me my other three tires (with 50% tread left needed replacing because they might hydroplain. then my brake fluid needed replacing as well as all four shocks that he claimed were leaking. then he started trying to tell me everything else wrong with my very well maintained newer Honda. surprised he didn't try to sell me gold plated air for the car at $50 a pound. stay away from this place. read more

It's sad that I feel compelled to give such a low rating when the mechanical work done here is good. It's the customer service may cause me to take my business to a different establishment. I made an appointment online (as I always do with no problem) for 7AM Saturday morning. When I showed up Saturday, there was no one there. I waited until almost 7:30 before anyone showed up and they said a couple of their technicians called out. Okay, fine, but you're the boss (judging from his own ride because I don't think the technicians pull down that kind of money!) so you should be on time at the very least. I did give them grace and didn't call to bug them for an update until 3PM. I was left on hold (the first time) for 17 minutes and then again while they checked with the tech on the status of my car. He said they were finishing up with it and out driving it and they would call me right back. An hour later I had to call them (and sit on hold again) to be told what it needed and that they thought they might need to keep it overnight. You probably knew that at 4:00, so why didn't you just say that? On Sunday, I let them work until 3:00 again then called to ask the status. He said he would have to check and would call me back in 45 minutes. An hour and a half later, I called them and was told it would be ready right at close (5:00). When I get there to pick it up, they are clearly finishing up. He tells me it's going to be $700....uhhhhh...for a hose and an oil change...when yesterday you said $440 labor was $300+), so what's up with that? Ummmm no....lets try that again. Sorry, I feel like this is more of a rant than a review. This place is very convenient, they have great store hours, their people (when they are there) are always very friendly, and their vehicle service has always been good, but their bays are dirty and they need to get their customer service together. We had used this location for years for oil changes, but never again. We dropped off our Lexus for an oil change last fall. They called and said that our battery was bad, and that we needed a new one. We hadn't had any problems but we said okay do the replacement. When the work was completed we picked up the car and after driving it a block or two noticed that the screen with radio, navigation, etc. was black and would not turn on. Took it back to them. Evidently when they replaced the battery they somehow fried the screen. Next day they said they couldn't fix it, and that we needed to take it to the dealer for repair. Lexus fixed it for $3500. Firestone would not reimburse even though they did the damage. We tried repeatedly over several months to get reimbursement but they would not, and eventually ghosted us. Firestone replied to my original review on Google, and provided an email address so that they could help me. So I emailed that address about two weeks ago. Guess what they did? Nothing. No reply at all to my email. The reason they gave the canned reply and email was because they wanted it to appear that they care, and want to help. They don't. Good luck if they mess up your car because they will do nothing. read more

There was a wheel to spin in the lobby if you open up a CC and whatever the wheel landed on you got as a reward for joining. I landed on free tire and even though it was supposed to be for the next time I got to use it that day!! This time I am just being well taken care of as usual! This location definitely creates a detestable reputation of the Firestone brand. I stopped at this Firestone for an oil change as I didn't want to drive all the way to my car dealership. I was given an estimated wait of 1hr 45min. I, instead, waited for almost 5 hours. To make matters worse - they failed to reset my car system that alerts when service is needed and also failed to add a new sticker indicating the mileage for my next service. So yes, I again had to go to a different Firestone a different time to get that done. Long story short -- after 2.5 hours of waiting, I asked the desk employee the status of my car, upon which he responded that they were "just wrapping up." I waited another 2 hours before I finally got fed up and told him I would call an Uber. My car was ready as my Uber was around the corner. -__- At one point after asking the status, the desk employee (Alonzo, I believe) actually went to the back to check & got into a complete screaming match w the technician. This whole experience and process was beyond unprofessional. I wouldn't return if I were paid to do so. read more

I really appreciate the service I received at this location! I came in because I needed new tires. I was upset initially because I had only driven my car 30K miles and the car only previously had 17 miles on it. Alonzo explained that it was actually normal for tires from the dealership to wear within 30K-40K. He provided good information to help me make an informed decision on my next purchase of tires. I waited and waited. It was about at an hr when I finally approached the front asking about my car. They said they were just getting started on it now because they couldn't get their loft to work. Then soon afterwards ( less than 5mins) they tell me I need a new tire. I waited an hour for them to tell me I need a new tire. Without a thought I asked for my car back. If you cannot be trustworthy to do a tire patch how could I trust a company to make sure my tire is properly put on. When I finally got in my car they had taken out the cover where my ac filter is. I wish I could remember the name of the guy that was such a huge help! I called them to see if they could take me in 30 minutes before close because I had a nail in my tire and they welcomed me there. They got my car in quickly and replaced the tire. They were very nice explaining the different tire options I had and didn't pressure me into buying the most expensive replacement. The aftermarket battery that they quoted me for didn't end up being available so they got one from the dealership. There was no heads up or warning that this switch was being made. Another man in the lobby waited 8 HOURS! For an oil pan leaked! Avoid this place like the plague. The one star reviews are real. The 5 stars are fake. Expect to spend 3 hours plus if you have an appointment to replace a tire. I had a slow leak on a tire with less than 20k miles. The tire ware was too great to fix. Needed two tires, a wheel alignment, which had just been done two weeks prior. They will try to scare you into unnecessary repairs. Everyone who came in they said their battery needed to be replaced. They all failed with the roughly the same numbers. read more

Friday, June 28 I called the Firestone store on Northwest Highway near Abrams to ask about replacements for two Firestone tires. I told them my tire size, and was quoted availability and cost. I was never offered a choice of Brand X at one price versus Firestone at a different price. I was given an "appointment" for 11:00 am and showed up one minute early. Because I was at a Firestone store, I assumed I was quoted and would receive Firestone labelled tires. 11:45 my car entered the service bay for the 11:00 appointment. 12:15 I was given the invoice to pay. After inspecting the installed tires, I saw that Brand X had been installed. Do not assume that Firestone tires will be installed a a Firestone store. read more

Alonzo explained to me everything in detail regarding how much it would cost me for repairs after Sidney explained to me the importance of he getting the repairs done after a complete diagnostic review. Both of them were very knowledgeable and gave great customer service. Being a woman it's hard to find mechanics to work on my vehicle without trying to overcharging. I took my car there a little over a month ago for a new battery and an oil change. Literally the two easiest things a car needs. Before I got home that night the check engine light came on and the next morning the car wouldn't start. I called them and they said bring it over and they would look at it. I brought it over and it was night because I had to work and one of the guys went out and looked under the hood at the battery in the parking lot and I was told that they didn't clean off one of the terminals all the way like they usually do (I'm unclear as to why I didn't get that done like they usually do) but "it seems fine". Over the next several weeks until now it has continued to not start, and about a week after I took it to have it looked at I called back and told them that, and they said well you can bring it in and we'll run a diagnostic but if it's not the battery then you'll have to pay us $100 and something dollars for the diagnostic. Ridiculous. My car has not stopped falling apart since I brought it to your place for two very simple services, and you want me to pay you more money to figure out why that is. I don't know if it's because I'm a girl, but I simply could not believe that was their reply to me. Think twice. read more

IF YOU ARE A WOMAN DO NOT COME HERE ALONE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED OR GET A SECOND OPINION. I came in just to get my tire checked out. It was 2pm and seemed very busy, and I was told to leave my car until at least 6pm JUST to get my tire looked at. By 6pm, I was never given a call back to come back, so I had to call them myself and was told that my battery URGENTLY needed to be changed because it was dangerous to drive with and was barely starting. Not sure why my battery was even checked in the first place, but I had JUST replaced it with a brand new one a couple months ago and even got a car inspection a month ago. There were NO problems starting my car. When I told them this, they said that they could show me the report they ran in person and were still adamant that I needed to buy a new battery. When I get there, the man shows me a small slip of paper and starts throwing out numbers to me that would indicate the battery was bad. I said I would take the slip and go get back to where I got the battery bc I bought a warranty on it. I went back to the Autozone where I bought it and had the battery tested in front of me coincidentally, by the person who installed it for me a couple of months ago. He recognized me and said there was no way the battery needed replacing already. He tested it, looked at the slip I was given from FireStone, and told me that all those numbers were exactly what they needed to be and that they were just trying to make an extra $150 off me by scaring me bc I was a woman who came in alone. CRAZY how even when being so busy, this FireStone still manages to make time to scam people. Also the best part is, they have a sign at the front desk that says "Woman Wednesdays" that says women receive a discount on certain services on Wednesdays. Horrible, horrible service from a place that used to be reliable. I brought my car in for two new tires, an oil change, and a state inspection. They didn't ask if the battery had been recently changed, so the emissions inspection failed. Fine, no big deal: "Just drop by anytime and we'll do it." First time: guy's not available. Second: "Too late in the day." Third: "Two in front of you, it'll be three hours." So I make an appointment three hours later, just went back in, and was told "It'll be at least two hours." All for a simple emissions recheck. They also failed to reset the oil change light and didn't check an inactive pressure sensor on one of the tires. Never going there again; I'lljust pay to do the inspection again somewhere else. This place has become a train wreck... read more

Nobody wants to spend money on car service and repairs. Car problems are a huge hassle and an even bigger inconvenience. The last thing I want to drop several hundred dollars on is tires, or even more on a new transmission. So I think it is safe to say that just about everyone is already uptight and at least slightly annoyed when they walk into a service center. Me included. That being said, I have always appreciated the friendly guys at Firestone. They have replaced my tires, changed my oil, worked on my alternator... they are my go to guys when my eight year old Honda Pilot is needing the kind of attention I can't give her myself. Do they suggest on occasion that I replace the cabin air filter or recommend flushing my fluids or something? Sure they do. They all do. It's part of their job. Your job is to confidently, but politely say "no thank you." if they feel strongly that you need the service they are selling, they will explain how and why, but if it just a basic upsell, the conversation is over. My one beef is the crazy high fee they attach to hooking your car up to the computer diagnostic system. It's like $60 or something. That is too much, and has made me go elsewhere to find out what my car is trying to tell me. read more

If I could give it a zero I could. Yesterday I went there because I got a flat tire and I thought I was not gonna make it home or could ruin the rim. I got there and I assume was the manager asked me model and year of the vehicle. He said the tire for the mini copper are expensive. Just because they see a women by herself they want to take advantage of her. He gave me a price of 350 for JUST one tire!! Whatttt 350! They took the car to the back within 5 mins. I called my husband to tell him and he said don't do it they taking advantage of you. I told the manager I didn't want it and he said the car was up and they already installed the tire and couldn't take it off. I let my boyfriend talk to the manager and he told him the same thing. Just because is a Mini Cooper doesn't mean the tire is more expensive. That was a low move. The manager said I can give you a discount, the lowest I can do is $293. $293 for just one tire, that's insane!! I felt so frustrated to the point i lost my appetite. I have used this location for literally decades. The most recent change in management has ruined this location. Customer service is gone. Vehicle one had an appointment, was dropped off at 10 am for an oil change, rotation and balance. By closing, they had not even started it and they weren't sure if they'd get to I the next day. We picked the car up as being down for two days and maybe not getting the service was unacceptable. We'd just reschedule later. "Weekday are better" we were told. Vehicle 2 had an appointment 2 days later for same except no oil change. We always purchase the lifetime Balance, road hazard and lifetime front end alignment. Each time the new managers wants to recharge us and argue about Amherst not understanding why they don't charge us until we don't back down and she finally "finds"it. Well, this time 3 hours later with an appointment, they said it was ready and completed;however, I noticed the next day they didn't rotate the tires. One tire has a unmistakeable nick in the sidewall and that tire didn't move. When the store was called, " Hmm. No notes in the service record. We can get you in in three days with an appointment. " "How long will it take?" An appointment doesn't guarantee we get you in then, it just saves you a place in line and we will get to you that day."
