If you are a single woman, do not come here. The employee representative has a serious price gouging issue. When I first came in for an oil change and two tires, I was quoted $499. When I came back for a simple tune-up, I was told it would be $148. However, when I returned yesterday, I was suddenly quoted $1,500, which is outrageous for a tune-up on a 2015 Beetle. He never clearly explained the cost of the spark plugs--likely because he knew they wouldn't add up to that price. Instead, he tried to upsell a fuel system cleaning for $774. Again, I only came in for a basic tune-up. I later went to AutoZone in Collierville, where a representative named Caleb told me the parts for a tune-up would cost about $85 plus labor, and he even helped me find a discount. Do not go to Firestone. They take advantage of women who may not be familiar with car maintenance. If you do go, make sure you bring someone experienced with vehicles, or you may end up overpaying for basic services like tires and tune-ups. read more

I have 2 Honda odyssey's for which I have bought several sets of tires from this location. The dispatchers are courteous, will give me good estimates, schedule a mutually acceptable time for an appointment, and generally can get the work done within their estimated time. Yes they will recommend additional routine servicing as per miles & year, but no hard sell. read more

Don't waste your time here. I had a appointment to get my tires changed at 8 am and needed my truck by 2 they somehow couldn't change 4 tires in 6 hours but told me If I brought my truck back at 4 they would get it finished by the time they closed... guess what they didn't. They apologized and told me that they would make sure to get me taken care of over the weekend but when I called at a time that was convient for me to bring my truck in they told me that they were too busy to get to me. You're better off changing your own tires in your garage with a tire iron. read more

Wasted my Saturday to take my f250 in for an alignment. Had an appointment stating that it was for an alignment on an f250 at 11 am only to be told at 1 pm that there lift couldn't handle lifting my truck. So the 15k pound lift can't lift my 7k pound truck. I had put a leveling kit on my truck and this alignment was gonna take a small amount of extra effort, pretty sure thats why i was told it couldn't be done. When i called them on there bs excuse i was told that there lift was wore out and couldn't lift my truck, then was banned from the store. I wouldn't go there to have free air put in my tires. Avoid this shop at all cost apparently there equipment is to wore out to fix cars. read more

Recently I have had 3 good experiences with this location and with different staff. 1. one of the few places to get a flat tire repaired on sunday. They fit me in. 2. Next day my other vehicle experienced a flat. On this occasion I bought a new set of tires.Both times I had to wait a couple hours, but the work was done right. 3. This incentivized me to set up an appt. to get a new set of tires for the 1st vehicle as the need came up 3 months later. While there would be a back order for my same tires, Geraldine made a recommendation for an updated, better all weather mini van tire. I took out the life time alignment warrantee after they did it.Previously the van dealership had aligned to their specs, but it kept pulling. Firestone got it right!! My appointment was scheduled for 8am on Sunday; 01-03-2021. I made the appointment a week in advance because of my very busy schedule. I showed up ten minutes til, waited until 8 to give the employees time to open, then walked up to the door, only to be greeted with a sign that said this location was closed due to COVID. I completely understand the environment in which we currently live; however, I would have greatly appreciated a phone call, notifying me of the closure. I planned everything around this appointment and my vehicle needs service. My Mom who is a Senior Citizen of 84 trusted Spencer at Firestone Collierville to tell her what her car needed. As her daughter, I told her not to take her car to anyone. She doesn't drive. Her car was fine. Without me knowing, she calls during this horrible time and takes the 2005 Honda in anyway. Long story short she pays Firestone 1,720.00 for the best tires out there along with life time alignments etc. A new battery and all liquids drained and changed and all spark plugs changed as well. SHAME ON THEM. The car was fine. She was taken advantage of. They don't care about the person just the Dollar. Wrong. My Mom lives on her Social Security. I've used the Collierville Firestone many times; mostly oil changes and tire rotations. I did have to take my daughters car in recently for a new tire which was covered under their road hazard warranty. The tire was purchased at a Firestone in Chattanooga. The tire was replaced, no questions asked. The service was prompt, courteous and their prices for oil changes and tire rotations are average for the area. They operate on a first come first serve basis. I usually will go and drop the car off to avoid the lobby wait but they do have a comfortable, clean waiting area. read more

I called Firestone on Saturday to make an appointment and was asked to drop my car off on Sunday morning at 8am to have my oil changed and my tires rotated and 2 of my tires plugged (both had very slow leaks). I was told when I dropped it off that "we will call you when we look at your tires". I didn't understand why they needed to call me because they were authorized to patch the tires and they hadn't even looked at the car yet. I was called 7 hours later at 3pm and was told both tires could not be plugged and they suggested I purchase 2 new tires from them. (My tires are less than 1 year old). I took my car next door and both tires were patched in less than 25 minutes. This business boasts that they are fair and honest. My experience with was neither. read more

I had a low tire today. Found a nail in the tread of the tire. And it was leaking air. So I have been to this location before thought nothing of going there. After leaving my car for a few hours they called and informed me the tire could jot be fixed. Now being familiar with car repair since I have done extensive work on cars for years. But I do not have tire equipment. The guy on the phone explained it was too close to the edge and can't be patched. Now I saw the nail and it was in the first row of the tread. Mathis quoted me $234.00 for its 50 month store brand (Mathis) battery installed. Firestone quoted me $154.00 for its better quality 50 month battery. Wanna guess which one I chose. read more

Said "i dont know what to tell you" when they said they cant fix my car, then when i came to pick it up they lost my key. Was there for 20 minutes before they found it. Plus they left my car unlocked and parked it outside of their parking lot so that if anything happened to my car or stuff inside it wouldnt be their responsibility. And when i said what wouldve happened if something happened to my car and the manager just strugged and said then thatd be that. Then when we were leaving they called me and said they found the key and when i walked in they threw the key to me. No apologies or nothing. Courteous, friendly and in my opinion they do good work. The people running the front desk take the time to to get the information needed to fill out your ticket even when they're slammed with business, which is most of the time. Really took care of me when I took my truck, 19 yrs-old, in for new brakes & rear seals and it took longer than expected due to parts availability and then issues with those parts. Really bent over backwards to make sure that they got the job done right, when they could've sent me on my merry way. A real top-flight crew of men and women at that facility in my opinion. read more

2 Summers ago I had taken my car in to diagnose the Air Conditioning that had recently gone out; I was advised that I had a blockage in the system, to be repaired, the dash would have to be taken out; and would cost $1000-$1700 to repair; and charged me $42.50 for the diagnosis. Since it was a short commute vehicle, I elected to forego the repair, due to the cost. This summer I elected to break down and spend the money to make it operational; and come to find out, it was two hoses that needed replaced!! Paid $200 for a new tire, $20 for road hazard coverage that I told them I DIDN'T want, and a fresh new dent in my door that's deep enough for the metal to show through. Learned my lesson, should have gone back to Gateway Tire on Poplar or directly to the dealership. if you have new, nice wheels spend the money to have the tires replaced somewhere else. mine were clearly new and the tech scratched them and made marks on the inside of the wheel where the machine holds the wheel. that's my major call out. no real point in making a claim because at best they want to repaint, etc. I'm not confident they could outsource that correctly either. my point is if you have nice or new wheels you need to go elsewhere. otherwise service is fine, sure they are slow to get work done but who isn't slow around here. read more

We have a 2004 Honda Odyssey that we can't comfortably afford to replace at this time. It has been riding in a way that troubles me. We recently brought it in for an oil change. Jason, the master mechanic at this Firestone appraised that it needed a new sway bar & motor mount, work which we approved. The vehicle rides so much dramatically better now that I have stopped looking at used car sites for vehicles which we can't afford & didn't really want. This Odyssey feels totally different now & I am grateful to Firestone for resolving my problem. Please beware of Firestone service center, worst customer service, they will cheat you. All I wanted was to get an oil change, but got off with a bill of $118 at the collierville center. The sales person deceived me into buying a set of Valero AS tires. I read about the tires and called in 35 minutes, to stop and not replace the tires. He wanted to charge me $329 for putting back my tires. Finally after 19 minutes of arguing he thought he was being gracious and reduced it to $118. PLEASE BEWARE!!! read more

The district manager of Firestone contacted me after my poor reviews of Firestone in Collierville. He apologized for the poor service and asked that I give them another chance as they had made some personnel changes. I recently took my car in for an oil change, rotation, and alignment. They informed me that my rear brakes were just about shot, so I had them perform a rear brake job. They were prompt and courteous. All the work seemed to be done correctly and I have had no problems. read more

Got a call Sunday afternoon saying they were running behind and asked if I could pick it up Monday morning as soon as they opened. I said ok. Of course it was not ready. I didn't even get an apology. CONSUMER WARNING: Looks like my review was removed from 9/27/17....so I will take the time to post again in case my story is familiar with anyone else. I own 3 cars and have been taking all 3 to this location, Firestone 1100 W Poplar, when in need of tire service. In the last 14 months, I've purchased a set of 4 tires for one car (it was time for new), and 2 more single tires from picking up nails. That's a total of 6 tires. I cannot say I was shown the nail in the 2 replacements (one of those times my 16 year old daughter took the car herself) and I was "trusting" their advice when they told me the tire could not be repaired each time. I was back again on 9/21/2017 with yet another nail. The same dance occurred, but this time, I asked to see the nail in the tire. After that inspection, it was evident the tire could be plugged since it was not in the shoulder or sidewall of the tire and I asked them to do the repair. They refused saying it was unrepairable and instead quoted $320 for a replacement tire. I left and a few days later went to another tire store a few miles away. The tire absolutely could be repaired with a patch and was! Saved me 300.00!! I will never go back to this business as it appears they want to sell tires so badly they are willing to be dishonest to do so. CONSUMERS BEWARE! To the store manager.....My invoice # was: 186611. The new tire quote, that I declined, was put on a work order with the same # 186611. I notice my phone number is listed on the invoice if you care to call me to discuss. I stopped into this Firestone at 6:30 PM when they were closing at 7 PM. I had no choice, as my tire had just blown out on me and I was on my spare. I go in and explain my situation nicely and calmly to the manager, who clearly did not want to be there at the time. She was annoyed that someone had the audacity to come in close to her shift end. Not to go into the entire situation, but I eventually had enough and told her that I had a bad day too and that a customer is not to be treated in such a way. She then went and gossiped to the rest of her employees while they fixed my tire and made it seem like I was the bad guy for her acting childish. She began to act more civilly to me, but then a tech came in and made a snarky comment to me and I promptly decided that I would never returning to this particular Firestone. They fixed my tire, but the customer service was absolutely awful. I would encourage everyone to go to the competing tire store directly next to it. read more

I had new tires installed here in mid September, 2016. Six weeks later, I had the balance checked at Autonation Honda on Hacks Cross. Autonation reported that wheel weights were missing and others were falling off. Now I guess I have to check work they've done on another of my cars. This is deplorable. read more

Until recently, I have been satisfied with the service received at the Collierville, TN location. I use them primarily for oil changes, and routine maintenance. I change my oil every 5 to 6,000 miles. Every other oil change, I ask them to rotate my tires and to do an alignment. Usually I schedule an appointment for mid afternoon, and I wait for service to be done. The last two times I was there, I got the distinct impression that they were not interested in working on my car. I made an appointment on line for an oil change, and I marked that I would wait for the service. From the guys demeanor and his snide comments, it was clear that he wanted me to drop the car off. That is just not an option. At that time, I mentioned that I had an issue with my back up lights. I asked if (at a later date) they could fix it, or if it would be better to take it to the dealer. He assured me that they could handle it. Two weeks later, I came back for the back up light work. During my wait, the guy told me that if it was his car, he would not bother having the back up lights fixed and that he would just live with it. I did not respond to that comment. I had done my homework and found that the part needed costs about $50. He quoted me $112 plus another $100 to replace the part. When I told him this, he said that it was a special order part that would take weeks to get, etc. The very next day, I called the dealership and found 2. The dealer fixed it for $100. Earlier this week, I went on line to make an appointment for an oil change for 3:00 PM. They called me back & said that because I was waiting for the car, I would have to come in before 11:00 AM because they "don't take wait-ins after 11:00" I contacted customer service who said that there is no such rule.
