My vehicle was initially towed to Firestone because it would not shift gears. The tow truck driver was able to make a temporary adjustment so the vehicle could shift, and my husband clearly explained this to the Firestone employee who assisted us that day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]That employee was professional and helpful, and we were advised to be cautious with the vehicle.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The following day, we received a call from a different Firestone employee stating they were uncomfortable working on the vehicle and recommended taking it to Ford.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While this recommendation was understandable, when we arrived to retrieve the vehicle, it would not shift into drive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My husband went inside to request assistance and encountered a different employee who was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Rather than attempting to help or assess the issue, he criticized the previous employee and showed no concern for resolving the problem. As a result of Firestone's refusal to assist, we were forced to pay $230 for an additional tow. When the tow truck arrived, the driver was once again able to quickly adjust the gears and make the vehicle drivable--despite not being a mechanic. This further highlights that no meaningful attempt was made by the Firestone employee to assist us. This situation caused unnecessary stress and financial burden. Our household relies on a fixed income, as I am a 100% disabled veteran, and unexpected, avoidable expenses such as this are not acceptable. I should not be paying out-of-pocket for costs that resulted from poor customer service and a lack of basic effort. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to this Firestone location and felt it was important to formally document my concerns. read more

The only thing that could improve this business is a visit from the BBB. They do nothing but up-charge customers! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dropped my car off to have a nail removed from a tire at 8:35am during the week. Called twice to verify an estimated time to pick up. No one had even inspected the vehicle.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Finally got a call back at 3:45pm explaining they would not fix the tire. The screw was on the wall and needed to be replace by their $380 top of the line (non-matching) tire...with "necessary" alignment...I refused service and took the tire to our reliable mechanic in Pineville They lied about the location of the screw. Buyer beware This place is dishonest at best. I took a car in to have a simple windshield washer switch replaced and I got a call back saying that they needed to do a full engine diagnostic before they could replace the switch. The full engine diagnostic costs $115 and has nothing to do with the switch that needs to be replaced. They said they needed to do it for insurance purposes which is a farce. Don't take your car here unless you want to spend at least twice what you are expecting to spend and a long list of things that need to be fixed which they cannot prove. read more

While traveling from Virginia last year, my 2018 Nissan Murano decided to lose it's transmission. The manager ordered my parts, put his best transmission tech on it and took care of the problem. This facility has no regard for ones time. I had an appointment for 1 pm. I checked in at 12:58 and asked if my car would be finished in a timely manner. I was told that it would be completed within 1 1/2 hour. I needed to know because I had a 3 pm appointment with a doctor. At 1:45 if was put on the lift, I knew then that I was in trouble. I asked again about being completed at the 2:30 mark and was told 5 more minutes. The checkout on my service said 2:15 and that is a lie. I got my car back at 2:58. Yes, I missed my appointment! Went in for an oil change and as usual had to drop my car off and pick it up later when ready. While waiting I get a phone call from them with the usual recommendation for a wheel alignment. At Firestone your car always needs a wheel alignment. Also the caller said the brake fluid was overfilled I needed to be flushed , she said $8 . I found out when I picked up my car it was a complete brake flush and it cost $108.00. The car has 23000 miles on it. I never heard of a car needing a brake flush at 23000 miles. I don't know, it seems to me that at Firestone there's always this cross sell. read more

So made an appointment to get my oil changed last week for Saturday at 1:00 pm. 1:00 "sir we are really busy and it's going to be at least an hour and a half" 2:15 "we need to order the oil filter so it's going to be a little longer" 3:00 "Sorry we accidentally ordered the wrong filter" 3:30 "15 more minutes" 4:15 "Sorry this isn't the right filter either" I literally almost had a meltdown so I said give me my jeep back. How incompetent is Firestone at this point! She's like sorry sir they already drained your oil and we don't have a filter. So I had to call a Lyft and I left. 5:45 voicemail your car is ready 5:55 we didn't get the right filter so we put the old filter back in. We ordered the right one but it won't be here till Monday and you're welcome to come back then. So basically I wasted an entire Saturday waiting for these idiots to give me a simple oil change and spent $50 in Lyfts to not even get an oil change. The best part is they spent 20 minutes on the phone with me when I made the appointment researching what oil filter it gets. I'll start by saying that I was there the day this location opened. Literally a customer on their first day. I have purchased multiple sets of tires and have had almost every service across all our vehicles completed here. Today is my last visit. This location used to have a manager (Mark) that was great. That is not the case now. Had a 10 AM appointment for an oil change and inspection. Three hours later still waiting. They recommended changing air and cabin filters, despite the fact that I had just replaced them myself. No visual inspection to determine if if they need to be replaced just recommend it to everybody and hope some fall for it. Done. read more

I brought my car here for an oil change when i received no call to pick it up i stopped by to get an estimate to find out how much longer it would be only to discover they had long finished the oil change and had begun looking for other potential work on my car. I was then quoted over 2 grand for repairs that my regular mechanic later confirmed nothing in my car was in need of immediate repair as Firestone had suggested and nothing nearing the amount i was told. Not only was it dishonest in practice i found a large scratch and green paint that was not present when i dropped it off. The scratch is too deep to be easily removed i hope i can get the green off. I have been a customer here for over 10 years and have never been overly impressed. I tolerate the upselling and over priced maintenance due to the location. However, my experience today will ensure that I never return. I took my daughters car in to investigate an oil leak coming from under the car. Based on their inspection, I was told that the motor mounts were blown and it would cost $1600 to replace them both. I was shocked by the total cost and the round number that was quoted so I called around for some additional estimates from other reputable mechanics. The HIGHEST quote I got to replace both was $743. Firestone also recommended that I replace the battery for another $250 for good measure. This place is criminal in what they charge for maintenance and their upselling practices are shady at best. Read all of the other reviews about this place - do your homework and stay away. read more

Apparently, I am not the only one that has had a bad experience at the Firestone in Blakeney. I had received similar questionable service in the past so I stopped going there. Today I went by there as my car displayed a message that I needed one quart of oil. I just had an oil change 3000 miles ago, synthetic oil that should last longer. I waited inside for someone to assist me this evening. After a long wait, I was told that they cannot add a quart of oil to my car. They would have to re-service it and do an entire oil change. I couldn't believe my ears, but basically walked out. I went to Grease Monkey in Pineville, which is the best place to take your car for an oil change. They quickly added a quart of oil with no questions asked. They were respectful and kind even though it was at closing time. Do not take your business to Firestone as this kind of service is unacceptable and the reviews are pretty much the same across-the-board. What a shame that they have such a prime location yet such poor management . A big thumbs up to Grease Monkey in Pineville! You have earned my business! read more

Consider taking your business elsewhere. I do not think this place is operating in good faith. They changed our air filters out 2 weeks ago. We then start hearing a noise when we turn the air on full blast. I took the vehicle back to have them take a look. After "a visual inspection with a camera", they said the blower motor is failing and will cost $300 to replace. I decided to look into this myself and found instructions on how to remove the blower motor. Turns out there were 2 acorns that had fallen into the blower motor when they replaced the air filters. I take the acorns out and put the blower motor back in, the noise is gone. I called the manager, who informed me it is not their procedure to take anything out of the vehicle and that would have cost a labor fee for them to accurately diagnose the problem that they caused. I do not trust this place anymore and will be taking my business somewhere that operates with integrity read more

Dropped my car off this morning at 7:45am for an inspection and the clown checking me in asked if I would be waiting for it on-premise or dropping it off. I decided because it was a beautiful day, that I would take advantage of the weather and sit in the park across the street until they called me. He said, "I'll call you when it's done!" Two and a half hours later, I decided to go check and see what was taking so long since I hadn't heard back from them. To my surprise, I notice the car hasn't been moved from where I left it. When I get inside, the clown asks me if I'm there to pick up, to which I replied "I hope so, I've been waiting for 2 and 1/2 hours." He then asked if I had received a call, and I told him I hadn't it but it's been 2 and 1/2 hours! So he then asked me if I had an appointment, and I said no, I dropped the car off at 7:45am. At this point, he goes on to inform me that they have a list 5 to 6 days long of appointments. My response "You should have told me that when I dropped it off at 7:45am and you didn't say anything!" What came next can only be accompanied by the infamous monkey act we used to witness in one of the 3 rings at Wringling Bros, but I didn't have time to stick around to witness the act. His response was "I told you I would call you!" So I asked me, "When? Next week? YOu just told me you have 5 to 6 days worth of appointments you're working through!" And this is how you deal with clowns! I'm sitting here trying to understand what kind of racket they have going on at this place because there is no way a shop that size with the kind of overhead they're carrying can stay in business that long by servicing 12 cars a day if it's taking them an avg of 3hrs per car. Y'all I have tried to be patient with this place because the location is so convenient but I cannot take it anymore. Last week I took in my 2015 equinox for an oil change. They call us back and say the alignment needs fixing and recommend some maintenance based on the mileage. Yeah, okay, that sounds fine. Nearly $400 dollars later and we drive the car home and it is PULLING to the left so bad. So we have to take it back and it takes them a whole day to fix the alignment they screwed up. The next day the car won't start correctly and now today we have to take it back. The car was running great before. Come here for an oil change, sure. I visited Firestone and my appointment was set for 2pm for a nail repair, didn't get a call back until 3:30pm for them to tell me I had 3 nail punctures. I said I would like to go back and see the nail's myself. I've never heard of this nor have been around a construction zone. I go back and I could clearly see the nail identified, then there was a tiny one that looked like a furniture nail and then a clean puncture not done by a nail, also no third nail found. The gentleman that seemed like a manager said my tires need to be replaced, well clearly I know my tires still have plenty of tread, I said please load up my tire and put the dummy back on and I'll take it to the dealership. He got very upset. I feel taken advantage of and clearly some dishonesty going on for a sale. I am giving this place a 5 stars because I would like to try help their overall rating. But I also feel they deserve it. I was looking for a place to take my car to have the brakes checked because there was definitely something not right with them. My friend told me they have been to this Firestone a few times with great results. I'm not gonna lie, I was skeptical. But I trust my friend and decided to give them a try. My state inspection was due and an oil change so I figured I'd test them out on many levels. I made an appt and dropped off my car. Pete checked me in. He was super friendly and said he'd call when it's done. About an hour later, I got a call from Kendall with the diagnosis on my brakes. Long story shorter, he worked with me to decide which services were necessary and to make sure I was getting the best prices for each service. He even emailed me all options so I could discuss it with my husband. I didn't feel like I was being pressured or being taken advantage of - which is a huge plus in my book when it comes to car service. And now my car is running greand the brakes work smoothly. This store is very convenient and the people friendly. However, each time I've taken our cars there is always additional recommended tires, parts or services. Previously, they replaced 2 tires 13,000 ago and another 2 with only 6,000 miles. Today, they suggested we replace all 4 tires, because they weren't wearing evenly and are showing cupping. "What! Aren't these tires warrantied for at least 60,000 Miles?", I asked. They answered "Well, you didn't do the rotation and alignment we recommended, so the warranty is voided"... This is incredible, because they are the company that installed and maintained the car and tires during this time. I declined replacing barely used tires with new ones. I got my car back and the tires still have plenty tread left, but I'll get a different tire company to do an alignment, as I've lost all trust in this stores credibility. It's sales practices and lack of integrity like this, that give the auto care industry a bad rep... read more

Avoid like the plague! This shop failed my inspection for the 2 "marker lights" and told me that in order to replace these $3 bulbs they had to charge me $187 in labor because you have to take apart the back assembly to get to them. I went home, removed 2 cover plates, removed 4 screws and the assembly popped right out. Took less than 4 minutes to replace these lights. This shop is the perfect example of scare tactic rip off artists. I would Never recommend anyone use this shop even to just get air in their tires. read more

This place is a joke. I had an appointment for an alignment and tire rotation. It took them forty minutes to come tell me all the things wrong with my car. One of things I had already known about and wanted to get fixed so I decided to do it, it was changing the battery honestly nothing big here. TWO HOURS LATER I pay and they say they won't charge for the tire rotation (only ten bucks) Bc they made me wait so long. But then you know what actually happened. They never did the rotation or the alignment and they were closing as soon as I left. They gave me a rotation results for a 2009 cadallic from earlier in the day. I drive an 04 corolla. And my tires are still in the same place they were when I went. Don't go here I was in their seating area with four other confused customers on why their cars were taking so long. I did so much driving that my tire pressure light switched on. I stopped here and Jim helped me. He was very helpful. We went outside and he put air in my tires while it was raining. By the end of it he was soaked. After putting the air in my tires he told me I was good to go. I tried to pay him but he said it was fine. I really appreciated the honesty, he could have said something was wrong and I would have paid not knowing.
