I came to Firestone this week kay for an oil change. The guy in the front, who's name I believe was Roy was really nice. Polite, professional and a pleasure to deal with. The $20 synthetic blend oil change with inspection is a great value. Their online appointment system was easy to use. They allowed me to show my online coupon on my phone. When I got there he apologized and informed me that it could take closet to an hour for the oil change instead of the quoted 1/2 hour online. It was less then a half hour. . . Went to get my oil changed in my mini cooper. The price was good since I had a coupon for a synthetic oil change but was not worth it for the service. The next day my car which is new notified me i was a quart short which should never happen. I have no dipstick to check. I also noticed they did not use plastic when they got inside and got oil and dirt on the carpet and steering wheel. They did spill oil on the exhaust. I brought my car in For a tire rotation. I had an appointment for 9 o'clock, arrived early, and was told that my car would be ready by 11:30. When I hadn't heard from the shop by 1140, I called and was put on hold for quite a while. When the service representative got back to me,She said they were just starting to work on the car. She called back at 12:15, to find out where my tire lock was and said my vehicle would be ready in 10 or 15 minutes. When I arrived at the shop at 12:50, the vehicle was still not ready. They charged me for things that were never done (per the mechanic who repaired it afterwards). they damaged my vehicle on the lift (per a specialty mechanic) and had to pay for the replacement (after initially denying they had anything to do with it) They installed a radiator and did not tighten any of the connections and tranny fluid was sprayed all over the engine and caused damage. They just do not do quality work. After contacting the BBB, I finally got a partial refund after waiting many many months. So I would not go here again. I've never had issues with this location. I've bought a couple sets of tires and the staff is always helpful. However when I make an appointment for 1 nail in my tire to be patched and it takes longer than an hour this is ridiculously slow. A NAIL! I got a new set of tires here back in February and service was good then. I think there was change in management because now the customer service is horrible. You no longer can make appointments online. Even when you call in, they just tell you to call the day of. I found a coupon for an oil change and decided to come here since my experiences have been alright. First, it took 3 hours for them to do an oil change. Good thing I walked over to get lunch and do some work at Starbucks to kill time. The next day as I'm driving on the freeway, I hear this part dragging on the ground. I go to my local mechanic and he says my oil filter was leaking. I can't believe how careless these mechanics at Firestone are. Good thing my mechanic is really nice and was able to fix it quickly and without charging me. Never coming here again for any car maintenance. read more

I don't know why Firestone and other auto repair centers like Wheel Works always advertise a cheap product then always call the customer and say that it is not available. The alternative is always more expensive. This happened to me in both places. Customer service tried to call me to tell me that the battery that I picked was not available but I was already late going to work and was too busy to answer my phone. Firestone still managed to have the lowest price albeit a lot higher than my original choice of battery. When I got there, I asked them why they do this, the person told me it is because the battery they advertise fits but for cars made 2000 and beyond the amperage of the battery they advertised is lower than what was recommended. I then told him that I did enter the right year, make and model of my car that that cheaper battery was what was recommended. Wasn't that the purpose of entering that info? The reason why I still gave them 3 stars is bec the guy was very nice to me. I think that maybe it was company policy to do the bait and switch. read more

I typically visit smaller/local shops where there owner is one of the people working on your car, but I couldn't pass up the internet deal that Firestone had on a highly rated battery when it reached the point that I was having to jump start my car every morning. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment online to have my car battery replaced using the internet-only deal for this specific battery. Come the day of the appointment, when I checked in at the front desk, they pulled up my appointment but quoted me a much higher estimate than the internet deal promised. I pulled up the email on my phone that I got with the quote for battery + labor and showed it to the guy and he went ahead and manually adjusted the estimate without any hassle. Though I was caught off guard at first, I'm glad they honored the internet price. I told them I'd wait at a coffee shop downtown and they said they'd give me a call when the car was ready. I walked to a place nearby and was there for a good amount of time, but hadn't heard anything yet. After getting several notifications on my phone that my car had been turned on & off (I have a device in my car that's internet-connected and provides this functionality) I figured that my car must be done so I started walking back. When I got there, they did say that the car was done so I paid, got my keys, and left. I was a little disappointed that they never called me to tell me that my car was done, because should I have not had a device to tell me my car had been moved twice (presumably into and back out of the garage), who knows how long I would've ended up waiting. It'd be nice if they were a little more conscious of other people's time. I wasn't in a rush, but it only takes a few seconds to call and say that your car is done and could've potentially saved me 30-60 minutes of unnecessary waiting. The next day, driving on the highway I noticed a scuffing noise coming from underneath my car. It only seemed to happen at 65+ mph so I figured it was something being pushed down against the road or maybe my tires by the air at high speeds. I pulled over off an exit and took a look and the plastic skid plate under my engine bay was sort of hanging off. I'm not sure if it somehow got caught or bent on a curb at the shop when they moved my car or maybe on the lift or something, but something had bent it to the point that it was causing this scraping noise I'd never heard before. I went ahead and called them the following day and explained the issue and asked if they'd take a look and whether or not I'd be charged. They said that there would be no charge and that it should be a quick fix if my description of what the issue was happened to be the problem. I took it in that afternoon and sure enough they lifted it up real quick and clipped up the skid plate then I was on my way, and no more noise on the highway. Overall I gave 4/5 because I thought they could've been more cognizant of my time since I was waiting around at a coffee shop for their call and ultimately made the decision to just walk back myself without notice which turned out to be the right decision. It also would've been nice if I was quoted the internet price I was promised from the get go, though that might be the computer system to blame. I appreciated the work these guys did and also that they were willing to take a look and quickly fix the skid plate dragging issue a few days after doing the original work. Price was very reasonable (with the internet promo price) as well. Had it been the price I was quoted initially in the store, I would've just bought my own battery online and replaced it myself. read more

They ripped me off. Made an appointment online to replace two tires. I selected their cheapest ($36) tires, Primewell, online. The online system made it seem like whatever I chose here would be exactly what I was paying for in the store. When my boyfriend took my car in for me (I had the flu) they told him the cheapest tires they had in stock were $65. This was after they tried to upsell him to even more expensive tires and tried to convince that all four needed replacing (only two have any worn tread). When he brought up the tires they had on record for me from the online appointment (which they had on file! ) they said "oh, sorry, we didn't notice that." Earlier, they had specifically said their cheapest tires in stock were the $65 ones, which was a blatant lie. Make sure you go in knowing exactly what you should be paying! read more

I have yet to give anything a one star however this place just takes the cake. When it comes to automotive shops, I like to give places extra time to do their job because if they aren't pressured to do their job then they'll take the time to do it right. I basically left it there the entire day for an alignment. You would like to think you weren't screwed but let me share with you what I experienced. They seem honest which for the most part they are up front as in sales but when it comes to the service that's where it is questionable. I took my car there to get an alignment because for anyone that knows alignments, "set the toe and let it go" Straight and simple right? The person basically adjust the tie rods to the set the toe which they did. This is where it gets a little fishy. I have access to a lift (lifts up cars in the air) and since I felt the car pulling to the right so I said no biggie. I'll do it myself and road test it. I put the car on the lift and walk up to the outer tie rod and the nut to the tie rod was LOOSE like I loosened it with my fingers. I was thinking..maybe they just forgot and only tightened one but both left and right outer tie rods nuts were LOOSE! The nuts on the outer tie rod should be nice and tight or it'll throw off the alignment when driving around on street. When it comes to cars my motto is, "fix it right the first time and be done with it" and apparently this place does not believe in that so I have stopped going here. What else are you not doing correctly? or leaving loose? oil drain bolt? lug nuts? strut to knuckle? i mean the list can go on and on... read more

Once again I called Firestone up and requested a suspension check on my car. They were nice enough to schedule me the same day, even though the customer service rep said they were super busy today how about tomorrow? I then said, please today and she says OK bring it in we will road test it and let you know. I was quoted 29.95 to do a complete test on the car. When the car was ready and I went to pick it up, the customer service rep said she found a coupon for me and lowered the inspection from 29.95 to 9.95. I was driving around with my son and noticed that one of my tires was flat. I looked up a tire place close by and decided to stop at Firestone to see if I could have my tire looked at. Unfortunately, I have to pick 1 star to post this feedback. Absolutely Criminal. Took our car in to have a noise in the under carriage addressed. Cost over a $1000 and the noise was still there. Took the car back and was told the problem was somewhere else, and of course another $1000 to fix. Reluctant on having the repairs done - but I was sold by the Tech that I talked with about how he stated "We are in Business to Build Customers for Life". And of course - the problem was still there after the second round. And then to top it off - when we took it back to them to find out what was going on a 3rd time - all of a sudden they bring in someone else to look at the car and now they have found the real cause. But it will cost another $1500 to fix. And of course given the same garbage on how they are here to do a great job and make a customer for life. Will be filing a claim with the BBB and contacting Firestone. I would highly recommend to stay as far away from this place as possible. read more

Took the car in for a set of tires back durring 2004. It took three return trips. The first two we're because the car was pulling to one side and by the third the steering wheel and alignment never ended up matched. We ended up taking it somewhere else and paid for an alignment 10k later. Heard the place caught fire and was burned pretty bad, which is not surprising to see the horrible condition the shop was kept. read more

Came in here a few weeks ago to have them check out one of my tires. I had a slow leek, perhaps from a nail. I asked to see the tire too before they patched it. They said it would be $33 for them the check, patch, and rotate; if indeed it needed to be patched. After sometime had passed, I still wasn't called out to check the patch. I went in and asked, and they told me, ohh it was already patched. They didn't even show me the tire!! or the nail they said it had in there!!!! SHADY. So I drilled the guy behind the desk who said he was the one who repaired it. Great you were able to fit me in last minute, bad you didnt show me the tired, and you over charge for patchign a tire. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!! THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR AND NOT TELL YOU ABOUT IT!!! I came into this location in Dec 2015 for a set of new tires on my 2014 Audi. I recently just had my vehicle in for service at the Audi dealer that I take my vehicle to and received a phone call from their service department, asking me who installed my tires. I asked why? They told me that there were nicks all over my expensive sport wheels on my car that were covered up with silver touch up paint! I told the dealership not to worry I knew it must have happened when all 4 of my tires were changed at Firestone in Campbell. Upon getting my vehicle back from Audi, I checked the wheels myself and sure enough the shotty tech that replaced my tires from Firestone damaged my wheels and tired to cover it up with touch up paint!!! Where is your integrity firestone? Not only did you damage my wheels, but then you tried to see if you could get away with it by touching up the wheels poorly with sliver touch up paint??? VERY SHADY!!! What else have you done to my car that I don't know about??? After finding out all this information I contacted Firestone in Campbell and asked to speak with the manager. Roy the manager spoke to me and said he doesn't know what happened and requested that I bring the vehicle by so that he could look at it. This was on friday 4/9/16. I agreed to his appointment time of the following; Thursday 4/14/16 at 5:30pm when I get out of work. So I call in on Thursday 4/14/16 the day of the appointment to confirm that Roy is going to be there. Mind you prior I had rearranged my schedule to make it there and move things around, super inconvenient. Seeing is how they damaged my car they should have come to me to inspect it. Anyways, Roy gets on the phone I state who I am and stated how I thought they were being deceitful trying to pull one over on me about touching up my wheels etc. I said I want to confirm my appointment with you today at 5:30pm like we discussed. He proceeded to demand that I needed to stay on hold while he helped another customer, I said no do not put me on hold please call me back - he went ahead and put me on hold anyways!! Poor customer service! Your supposed to be the manager? 2 Min later he gets back on the phone saying how he would not be there at 5:30pm because he had to open the store that morning. I said I rearranged my day because we set an appointment at this time last week? Does the appointment mean nothing to you? His response was unapologetic and said "well when can you come in"? I said I guess I will have to come in tomorrow morning Friday 4/15/16 before work at 7:30am which is inconvenient for me. I was unable to make it in Friday due to having been called into work early. My work schedule is just to crazy this month for me to make it over there. So long story short this place is shady - Roy is shady I will never be going here again and be telling everyone that I know to stay away from this place. I am torn about this place. On the upside, I came to get a flat repaired. They thoroughly examined the tire, couldn't find a leak, and didn't charge me a cent. I really appreciated that. On the other hand, one of their employees took my car for a joyride after he popped the hood and saw how modified it was. When I picked up the car, he came from the garage into the cashier/waiting room area to tell me how cool my car was and how amazed he was with the acceleration when it pinned him back into the seat. Um, what? That is not okay. I'm really protective of my car because a ton of work and money has been put into modifying and tuning it, plus they only made the Mazda Speed6 for 2 years so it's really rare, making it essentially irreplaceable. Also, it has a very stiff clutch and is hard to drive properly. As such, I don't let any old Tom, Dick, or Harry drive it. I especially would not allow a stranger to take it for a joyride. I'm sorry but if I bring my car to fix a suspected leak in a tire, there is absolutely no reason why they should be driving it around town, especially without my permission. So if you bring a fast or modified car to these guys, I suggest you tell them explicitly that you do not want them taking it for a joyride. It's a shame you would even need to specify that though. read more

My girlfriend's brake lights haven't worked for a couple days. She took the car in and had them check it. They never called her back by the time they said they would, and she had to call them to find out the update: they'd have to run a $160 diagnostic test just to find out what was wrong, then could potentially need up to $300/400 in parts/labor. She decided to pick the car up instead; I came with her and asked how they didn't know it could just be a blown fuse: they said they would have to do the diagnostic to find out. FYI: fuse replacement--$4 Convenient how they left that little detail out, huh? We decided to figure it out for ourselves. Surprise, surprise--blown fuse! (And FYI, this is incredibly easy for he most illiterate car user to troubleshoot--just google it). Those who helped us are either criminal, lazy, or intentionally dishonest. I call ahead on a Sunday morning about getting new tires for my car. Exactly the same tires I purchased from a previous Firestone 5 years before. The guy on the phone says they have them in stock, no problem. I go into the shop, he looks at my tires, gets my information and tells me that my car will be ready by 2:30 or 3ish with an oil change. I really didn't believe him, but said ok. I review all of the costing information which seemed close, but not quite what the online price was for the exact same tire. I figure it's in the noise and give him my keys. I come back to get my car at about 5 after not receiving any calls. Apparently they had some trouble in the shop and couldn't get to my oil change. I also wasn't completely sure what he was saying about coming back to do my alignment, as I had assumed that they had done it, and not just installed the tires. So I say "ok I'll come back tomorrow and you can do the oil change / alignment." I drive home and notice a little bit of wobble in the tires so I when I get home, i look at them and then realize they had put the wrong tires on my car! What a mess, but hey, people make mistakes right? So, I'm kind of annoyed at this point, but it never pays to be rude in general. So I call them back immediately and the guy on the phone first offers to give me a matching spare for free, as to which i reply... "these are wrong tires man... i just want what I paid for." I can tell he's also frustrated, but agrees. So I drive in the next day and drop off my car in the morning. He says, very calmly... we'll take care of it, "when do you need it by?" I respond, "I've got to work all day, so by close of business." He agrees. I give him my keys again. At the end of the day he calls and says that he could not locate the tires that they originally told me they had in stock and that my car would have to be taken care of the next day. It is now Monday, and still no car. So I leave my car with them another day. Late afternoon Tuesday, I call them and they say you can come and get your car. So, finally, it's Tuesday about 4:00 pm and I'm getting my car back from a simple purchase of new tires. At this point, I'm very annoyed, but happy to have my car back. I drive my car home... with the right tires, finally, and notice... there's wobble on the back tires. So, I wait an extra day, just to make sure it isn't the wind or road conditions... it's still there. So now... it's Thursday and I'm going back to this f'ing place to have them look at re-balancing my tires. I'm really annoyed with these people. I will never purchase anything at Firestone again. These people are just as slow as the Firestone on El Camino where I watched all the guys in the shop work on an employees new stereo system in the parking lot for 2 hours instead of giving me an oil change. A lot of the negative review are somewhat justified. I hate being negative, but it's true. I will never purchase anything at Firestone again. Ever. It's unfortunate, because I know they are not all the same and have different staff, but I'm just done. It's just tires. I can't afford to be without my car for a week, because people are not paying attention. It's true that if you want things done right... you just have to learn how to do them yourself. I'm sorry, did I manage to squeak out something nice about this store? It was totally a mistake. I left out a detail from my previous review: when Firestone swapped out the wheels on my car, they forgot to swap out one of the tire pressure monitors, a $50 part that, when missing, causes orange lights on the dash to blink. Jeff told me that I'd simply have to bring the car back another day and it'd take "about an hour" to replace. Right. Whatever, just get me out of here. A week later, I make an appointment to get the pressure monitor reinstalled, 8 AM this morning. And I show up a little after 8, only to have Jeff tell me they didn't have my monitor. WHAT!?! Jeff apologized for not calling me, but I just don't understand why, in the four days between making the appointment and me driving to Firestone just to be turned away, he couldn't find it in his tiny little heart to save me the effort of driving out there for no good reason. Between this and the previous slip-ups, and the other reviewers here on Yelp, I've come to this conclusion: This Firestone service center doesn't believe your time is worth a damn. I'm so pissed off! Had to bother a friend of mine to take me to and from work today so I could drop off my car for alignment. I bought the lifetime alignment several years ago, which I think was a BIG mistake! Picked up my car, and it STILL pulls to the right, maybe even worse than before! Not only that, but a few months ago I had a nail in my tire, and took it to Firestone to have it repaired. After spending $700 on 4 new tires 1 year prior, they STILL charged me to patch it! When I first walk in, the guy behind the counter James was on the phone with a customer on speaker. Then he helps a lady in front of me and answers the next call on speaker. First of all, I'm pretty sure that's illegal because that has to breach a confidentiality rule because everyone in the room could hear him give personal info. My appointment is at 9am I leave my car for diagnostics and I'm asked if I could leave it all day. I reply well yeah but I need a call ASAP when he knows pricing because I need to know if I can actually afford it. I call 3 hours later after leaving and Jason gives me no info and tells me he will call me in a minute. Nope. I called back after 4hours and still nothing and I explained that I needed to know ASAP cuz if I can't afford it I need to come get my car. I called again for the manager and I was on hold for 5 minutes then asked if he could call me back and I explained I was upset. He calls back 5 mins later with not really an answer and it was James! Who allows a manager to answer phones on speaker as well as not knowing how to deal with difficult customers. It is now 2pm with no answer. Shocker he calls me at 2:30 and told me exactly what I thought. It will be too expensive to get worked on so I waited 7 hours to pick up my car and wasted my entire day waiting for my car that couldn't even get fixed. So I'm taking the list of repairs and taking my business somewhere else. Left the store at 4pm.... UPDATE - I took my car to the Firestone in my hometown (2.5 hours away) and they did all the diagnostics and it turns out I only needed one repair that was $150 NOT $800 like this Firestone quoted!!!!! I had to drive all that way to get the correct service. NEW UPDATE - Katrina responded to my post and I emailed them and they still haven't responded. Great to know I'm "valued" read more

For tires and your basic needs, oil change and such, this place is pretty good. The staff is mostly friendly and pretty helpful. However, I had a horrible experience that completely turned me off to this place. Maybe it was my karma, who knows. Last year my air conditioning was acting up, so I took my car in to them. They fixed a lot, including a fan, and it cost me a pretty penny, but luckily they offered a firestone credit card with 6 months no interest, and everyone seemed really helpful. The car seemed to be doing better when I got it back, but as soon as the weather got warm again the air conditioning was not working and car was overheating. I brought the car back 3 or 4 times until finally they told me it was a fan. So my husband got a firestone credit card and we maxed that our fixing the "problem". Well, it still wasn't fixed, and after taking it back a couple of times and it finally being supposedly fixed, it started overheating very badly, to the point i couldn't drive it and neither fans were working. Keep in mind that over this period of a few months I paid for both fans to be replaced. I was a little irate by now and they paid to have the car towed in and said there was nothing wrong with it and the fans were working fine. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a woman, or some glitch in the matrix, but I'm no idiot and I know how to check and see if a fan is running on a car and neither were. They then told me that there was nothing they could do and the overheating must be from the transmission. I called around and every mechanic I spoke with said that the transmission probably could not cause overheating. At this point it was starting to be winter so the overheating was not happening and the air conditioning was not needed, so with my financial situation I decided to do nothing more about it. MY BAD! Now I'm still paying on the damn firestone card, and have all the same problems with the weather getting warm again. I feel I was wronged in some way because I paid $2000 to have a problem fixed that was never fixed. I'm not sure what the hell happened or where it all went wrong, but I do know I will never trust them with my car again. Initially using the firestone web page to select tires and make an appointment (last week). It ended up the tires were not in store and they were at a great price. Robert placed a delivery from the warehouse for them. Five days later not being sure they would actually arrive Robert gave me a deal on different tires to match my price point and get me going. *********2/22/14 UPDATE: Firestone has promised payment for damages 3 times in the past month. I have still NOT received payment.******* FIRESTONE'S POOR QUALITY OF WORK--In June 2013, I took my 2010 Honda Civic into this Firestone for an oil change. When I picked up the car the Assistant Manager, Sandra said the work had been completed and that I would be charged for a new oil plug because it needed to be replaced. In January 2014, I took the same car to Midas for a basic oil change but the shop manager declined to begin work because it looked like the oil plug or pan was stripped and leaking. The very next day I took the car back to the Firestone location where it was last worked on. I asked the Assistant Manager, Sandra to double check their work and contact me as soon as they find the problem. FIRESTONE'S FALSE CLAIM--The next morning Sandra called to inform me that they took care of the problem by installing a new (yes another) oil plug and that they changed the oil. Sandra's explanation for the second new oil plug was that this is normal wear and tear and is common with Honda's because their oil pans are made of soft aluminum. I called the Honda for a second opinion and confirmed that Sandra's CLAIM was FALSE--oil plugs do not need to be changed as regular maintenance especially in a new car. When I returned to Firestone to pick up my car, I asked to speak to the mechanic and then the Manager. The mechanic, Pat explained that the first bolt they installed was not the correct size so they replaced it with a larger bolt to fix the problem. When I talked to the Manager, Anthony he admitted that their mistake would require a new oil pan and agreed to replace oil pan. At this point I did not trust them to work on my car so the Manager agreed to reimburse the cost of the oil pan replacement with the proof of receipt. FIRESTONE'S LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE--Since I submitted the receipts of more than $600 to Sandra and Anthony in January and I have not received any compensation for fixing their mistake or an apology.
