I have used Firestone for over 15 years. They have serviced my entire families cars. They always get me in relatively quick and are always helpful. It's best to make an appointment and be able to wait or drop off your vehicle. Their prices may seem higher than express oil change, but you get what you pay for. I recommend them if you want a company to maintain your car without worry. They serviced my Camaro from 2015-2025 until I sold it. We had to take my daughter's car in the other day for regular maintenance and tire replacement. They were professional got us in and out relatively fast. read more

A technician at Firestone on 280 just tried to scam my wife! She had a screw in her tire, but was assured over the phone that it could be patched. Mind you this is fairly new tire already. She made an appointment, but on arrival and after about an hour waiting, a technician tells her that the tire cannot be repaired because their was a puncture on the interior wall... This was I lie. I inspected the tire myself. The technician then proceeds to try to sell her a new tire for $500. She declines the sale and comes home. I told her to call NTB a few doors down. They invited her to come in, and subsequently repaired the tire for under $30, and in less than an hour! Shame on them! Y'all beware out here. Appointment scheduling is a fake program. Don't rely on that scheduling service. I scheduled my appointment one day before for 11.30 next day, they told the the service will be done by 12.30. I said great and I will plan accordingly. went there next day at 11.30, now they say they will try to do it by 12.45 and when i come back at 12.30 they even haven't started yet. They waisted 2 hours of my time(including going there and back) and still I have to take my car back without service as they wanted more time. Problem is not that they took time, the problem is that how they communicated and mentioned the timelines and did not followed the timelines. What point of scheduling an appointment when it does not have any meaning and you still wait in the queue and on top of that you miss-communicate the customer about timings. Avoid this firestone if possible. I have brought my car to be fixed here a few times, but after my past two visits, I won't be returning. When the alternator went out in my car, I brought it to get fixed, as I needed my car for work and could not go without it. I paid $600 to have it replaced. After speaking with a with some family and friends that are well experienced in the realm of auto repair, and consulting the documents of my repair, I came to find I was way over charged for a REMANUFACTURED PART. It is company policy that they inform you the part they will be using is remanufactured, which they did not. Fast forward to today, I took my car back against my better judgement for a brake test. Brakes were squealing a bit, so I had them take a look at it. They quoted me $404 to have new brakes put on my car, and also wanted to switch out my 2 front tires for an additional $600, over a whopping $1000. My tires are only about 2 years old with great tread. I bought the break pads from a local auto store for under $70, and put them on myself. No more squealing. This was a scam from start to finish. I understand that labor is factored into the price, but $70 parts and a 30 minute job does not add up to $404. I would leave 0 stars if I could. If you don't believe me, look at the other reviews. I want to give this Firestone 5 stars but I can't. Marqies was great and I have no complaints about him. My issue is that I came in for an oil change. Once I left I began to notice a strong smell of burning oil. I subsequently come home to pop the hood and the oil cap was not screwed on! It was found adjacent to the hood lever. And now oil has spilled all over the engine! I do hope that Firestone corrects this situation, and if they do I would definitely be includedto changing my star rating. I also purchased the life time tire rotation, balance, and alignment that very day I came in for my oil change to. I am quite disappointed. Updated review: Firestone was actually quite prompt in reaching out to me to correct the issue that had occurred regarding the oil spill. The mechanic who had originally worked on car actually personally apologized to me. And they charged me nothing to totally correct their error and they cleaned the spillage as well for no cost (as should have been the case). I'm giving them 3 stars now instead of 1 because they gave me 5 star service on my follow up visit. I will be coming back to this Firestone in the future. read more

I'm rarely moved to write reviews for tire & lube places, mostly because the ones in my neighborhood are so unremarkable, but if you live in the Birmingham area, you really need to be coming to the Inverness Firestone. I noticed the tire pressure light come on about two weeks ago, so I took it to our usual tire place to be filled, rotated, and aligned. One week later, right before we were driving 2.5 hours to the airport, I noticed the tire pressure light come on again. I got out of the car and gave the tires a quick look, but I couldn't see anything, so I took it back to the tire place. They filled it again, and said nary a peep about any concerns, and off we drove to the airport. On a lark, we decided to stop at this Firestone on our way back from our trip since it's open and does oil changes on Sundays (already a huge vote up!). Kathy squeezed us in even without an appointment, and within about 15 minutes it was in a service bay. Stephen, the technician, immediately found what our tire place missed after two visits: a huge nail, which was causing air to leak out of one tire. Luckily, they were able to patch it and we could save the tire. Kathy also took the time to show us the condition of our tire treads, carefully explaining the wear bars. Even though it was clear that we were out-of-towners who probably wouldn't be repeat customers, Kathy and Stephen were still exceedingly thorough when they checked our tires. read more

They will try and make whatever money they can off of you even when they know there are solutions that will do the job without costing $$$$. Find a better company that's not out to tell you to replace a tire when it really doesn't need to be. Typical large company attitude and no hospitality. They even have a sign hanging in the lobby that says something about honesty but they are far from being honest. read more

We came in to have the brakes redone and the tires rotated. They couldn't remove the wheels from the car and sent it to another shop. That shop broke off the tire lug nut spindle. fire stone refused to take any responsibility for repairing the spindle. She left us with a missing spindle and the bill for their work. read more

This Firestone was terrible. Only went because I had a coupon and needed an oil change last fall. Waited for it as I didn't have any other options. Ended up taking 5 hours and later they said they had to replace the S-belt but they kept taking their time. My oil has been leaking all over my garage floor. I called today because I saw a coupon on Facebook that ended today. I was able to get in and get 4 new tires. I highly recommend Marqies he was friendly and knowledgeable and even placed me in a tire that was less than I was originally prepared to pay. Now my SUV has 4 new tires and it drives better than it ever has because the tire meets my needs! I went into Firestone for an oil change but came out a forever customer. This was my first time using them and as a woman, I always feel like I'm getting taken advantage of, but not at Firestone. They were courteous, knowledgeable, quick and had awesome attitudes. Michael was my tech and Joshua was the guy who helped me decide what services to get. I always go to Firestone from now on with any vehicle needs. Their prices are unbeatable!! These guys are great! I called looking for a shop not afraid to get under the hood of a range rover and replace a starter after my preferred shop of over 3 years had quoted me $1500, due to a clanking sound at startup that they diagnosed as broken teeth in the starter. I got Derek on the phone who said, "Range Rover? No problem." Immediately I was stunned and thinking he made a mistake especially after quoting me less than half the price of my shop, so I did what everyone else would do, waited an hour and called back hoping to speak with someone else expecting a different response. This time I got Anthony on the phone who confirmed it wouldn't be a problem and set up an appointment. The next day, I drop my truck off expecting to pay a few hundred for a new starter when Derek calls me saying that issue I was experiencing was because of a loose bolt! They tightened the bolt and I ended up paying less than 10% of the estimate from my original shop. I was left wondering why my original shop, which specializes in imports, didn't catch this before recommending a $1500 job. :(I would recommend these guys to any and everyone who needs service! The Highway 280 Firestone is the only place I take my car. The service is always as prompt as it can be (sometimes the place is just busy, but I never wait unnecessarily), and they do good, honest work. I'm never overcharged for the work done, and the manager never pressures me to get work done that isn't really needed. This place is the best! read more

Have had multiple bad experiences at this location. Most recently, I had a flat tire- I called and Firestone said they could have me in and out in 1 hour. I left after spending 5 hours there. Everyone else in the store was also irate about their extended wait times. When I picked up the car, they told me my alignment couldn't be completely fixed- the pothole I hit was too bad. Minutes after leaving, I got a "chassis warning error". It went away, so I kept driving it. The car didn't feel right, and at high speeds it vibrated. I took it to a different Firestone. They showed me a before and after analysis of the alignment. 11/12 measurements "in the red" to begin and 11/12 measurements "in the green" after the new alignment. So much for not being able to be fixed. The new store also properly balanced the new tires and fixed the vibration problem. The quality of service at this location is consistently poor and the time to completion estimates horrendous. I give 2 stars only because they are always nice and willing to try again. read more

I have been doing business with this location for more than 20 years. Usually, they are top notch and get the work done in a timely manner and in a professional manner. I took my VW in on Monday for an oil change and full inspection as per the 40,000 mile maintenance schedule. I had a 7 a.m. appointment: it still took 2 hours to get it done. There are now 3 nice big oil stains on my driveway: they say they "overfilled" the oil, and it was just dripping from outside the oil fill area. Unfortunately, the last time I had my oil changed, they forget to seat the "O" ring, and it leaked on my driveway. Of course, I just had my driveway pressure washed about a month ago. I took it back today: told them about 2 leaks in a row after service, and recently cleaned driveway. There was absolutely no thought or consideration given to the wasted time getting the car cleaned up and the extra hour wasted due to their inability to properly change the oil or that they caused oil to be spilled on my clean driveway.
