I came in with an issue from a repair that I had received in Florida. They were more than generous, allowing me to pull my car in a bay right away grab a part and thank me for being a customer. Went to this Firestone for a simple oil change on my wife's car. They told me I needed 4 new tires (which I knew about and was expecting) AND new rear shocks and struts. I was very surprised to hear this, so took the car to two other auto care facilities in the area. Both of them told me there was NOTHING WRONG with my shocks or struts at all. VERY disappointed that Firestone would attempt to defraud me like this. I wont be back, but I will be writing to the BBB and the CEO of Firestone. read more

Won't replace two tires on AWD Infiniti QX60. Says you must replace all four at same time because of rolling difference. This is BS according to Infiniti dealer. The transmission doesn't drive all four wheels all the time and it's not an issue if there is a tread difference between front and back. read more

Rarely ever write reviews but this one had to be done. Do not go to this Firestone location. The manager (from Ojai, CA) threatened me and told me if I ever came back he would "personally throw me out"...because I asked him to show me my road hazard insurance terms and conditions (that I PAID for, and he refused). He hands me a handbook and takes 5minutes scrolling through the same pages only to tell me "we got new ones, it's not in here". After that he resorted to ad hominem attacks on me, even AFTER we had settled that I'd pay for a brand new tire. Impossible to trust the incompetency here. To top it off, he never even gave me a receipt. If you are going to a firestone, go to the Parker and independence location - I have always been treated fairly and decently there. read more

I was in dire need of getting a flat tire repaired on a Sunday afternoon and I was flatly refused because according to the person behind the desk they were too busy. I could see the waiting area was completely empty and there were only a couple of cars in the service area. I needed help and got nothing. I know which place to avoid giving any business to. High pressure salesmen who will try and scam you. I went in to check out some brake noise as well as get my struts replaced, and they instead sold me 'brake dust cleaning' and billed me a 300% markup on each front strut for a total of $600 just for two parts, and that was before labor. Beyond that my brakes still made noise after it was 'worked on'. They billed me for something I didn't need instead of fixing the issue. Afterwards I asked a mechanic I know out of city about this and he simply laughed and told me I'd been taken advantage of and should've gone to a real mechanic instead of a shop. If these guys try to sell you brake dusting services, look for another shop. Or just avoid them entirely. This experience has lead me to do service work on my own vehicle to take out the middleman entirely. read more

Avoid this place like the plague!!! Took my car here in April 09' for a simple oil change and left with a broken starter. They denied any wrong doing, however I ended up having my car towed to another mechanic just to get it fixed. It turns out when they put my car on the automatic lift it somehow attached itself to my starter and snapped a piece in half which basically forced me to get a new one. Fortunately my car was still under warranty with another mechanic so they fixed it with no charge. Meanwhile, I never returned back to Firestone cuz there's no real proof they broke it, but I'm 100% sure they did becuz it wasn't a problem beforehand. Stupid mother $%@#. read more

Lifetime car alignment is the way to go at Firestone. For 150, it's totally worth it. The only thing is, you will probably end up getting a whole bunch of everything else serviced here while you are getting your tires aligned. read more

Like many folks who know nothing about cars except when they break , we want the best fix for the least amount of money. As a precaution, I always call to get a quote on the work I need done, this way if the quote changes when I arrive my 'hustle meter' will trigger and I leave immediately. So I head into the Firestone on McDermott armed with the quote written in ink on my hand, they immediately know who I am, and they pull up the quote for the BY3G1 Free tires. I think to myself, this is going too well, am I about to pay $500.00 for three new tires and receive the fourth tire free? Somebody pinch me! Ouch! Dayum that hurt. Turns out they were given the wrong tire size by the chick who knows nothing about cars (me). My $500.00 deal turns into $900.00. Bummed by my own stupidity (notice I am not blaming others for my error). I ask what can be done. In a moment of sheer magic, Roberts comes back with a plan I can afford that gets me all four new tires and a battery. Clouds part, the sun beams and I now have a new place to take my auto. read more

Update: Customer service doesn't respond back to your complaint email, and they lost my spare tire that they forgot to put back when they were patching up my tire. Also, they couldn't even do simple patching up of a tire correctly, so we had to get it repatched at another location the very next day. read more

Got a front brake job done about 10K miles ago, squealed from the beginning. Told the service folks something did not sound correct. Went back a year later for a brake check and different service folks agreed something was not satisfactory. The brake job was redone for $50. Somewhat happy, somewhat dissatisfied, paying $50 to get the brakes redone. read more

I've been coming here for service for several years because the service advisors and managers always gave good service and never tried to sell BS services that wasn't needed. Today was very different. As I was paying for the oil change, they tried to sell a service (over $100) that isn't listed/recommend in the owners manual and when I asked if it's based on their inspections, they just flat out lied and said it's recommended by the manufacturer's manual. They even said they recommended it to me 10k miles ago and it's not good for the engine for me to keep pushing it out. Extremely rude and unprofessional behavior of firestone manager. I reached this store at 6:55 am and was waiting at the store door. The manager unlocked the door and turned on the open light( since I was already at the door I thought he would ope the door for me have me in ). When I entered I greeted him good morning with a nice smile and I got the answer "what's going on " I told home I need to get my car service " I cannot take ur car I already have cars for work" . I said I can leave my car , "what's ur phone number" , while I was telling it and told that my car is dues for B12 service with these many miles "I don't know what that means we are not Honda dealership" ( in a very rude way) I told him that last time I came another person told they can take care of my car if i tell home many mole and service type, I got the I answer " I don't know" , I told him that I will leave because I feel I'm welcomed here , he answered "it does not matter" and while I was leaving I heard the sarcastic laugh. read more

These guys resort to some really deceptive business practices. While away on a business trip to Europe, my wife's car had a TPM light come on. She took it to this Firestone location since that was the closest. They had her convince that the tires need to be replaced even though there was over 50% thread left ( all tires were 5/10 threadwear). When she was finally able to reach me, I asked her to cancel the order since I had warranty from Costco. The vehicle was on the lift and the tires were not yet replaced. They wanted to charge $240 just to cancel the order just because the car was on the lift. She had to go ahead with the replacement because it did not make sense to pay $240 to cancel. I understand businesses are there to make money, but this is truly deceptive and unethical practice. TPM lights came back on the next day with new tires. It turns out the car just had defective TPM sensors. read more

Never again! We went here today in a pinch since it was close to home, flat tire and needed it fixed for the holiday weekend. 5 hours and $533 later...we have two tires and MAYBE an alignment. Buyer beware they are crazy overpriced, fast talking, and high pressure sales. We were finally able to get our car minutes before they closed, initially they said the alignment had not been completed yet, then they said it was ready, the first guy said the alignment was terrible and had to be done, the second guy said it doesn't look that bad. Who even knows if they did one? At best they are disorganized but possibly crooked. An alignment at the Honda dealership is only $90 before a coupon. And this place charged $199. The tires looks scruffy and dirty. I am angry at myself for not popping on the donut tire and shopping around. Learn from my mistake. This place is a rip-off. read more

Honest review-- I took my car here because it was shaking when I appiled the brakes at high speeds. Okay I kinda figured that I would need new rotors or have them turned and new brakes. Okay They did their inspection and told me that I need brakes and rotors. Like I figured I did. Well anyways, they put new rotors on the front along with creamic brakes (more expensive and no noise, is what they said.) Okay the problem starts. Payed the price and drive off. Well I get on the highway to test my new bad boys out. And guess what, There is still a little shaking and now I have a loud squeal coming from my new "CREAMIC" brakes. Well I called and spoke with the manager (whom is still working there) He stated that sometimes brakes need a little adjusting period. Okay he's the mechanic, I'm not. So after driving around for 2 months with my shaking and loud squealing when I do any stopping. I finally had enough and took my car back in. Well they never said anything about what was wrong. I watched them from the waiting area, turn my brand new rotors and wipe off my new brakes, and put them back on. After 2 hours the manager told me my car was ready and never gave me a explaination. So As I'm walking out side I look at the invoice they gave me. It said on there that they put new brakes on my car--THAT'S A BOLD LIE. I watched the tech do the whole process and they wiped and sprayed cleaner on my old brakes and put them back on. Okay On with the story. LMAO My car now squeals ever louder did it did before they turned and cleaned my rotors and brakes. But hey, my car doesn't shake anymore. I mean the squealing is very loud when I apply any pressure to the brakes. I called firestone back and talked with the manager (whom is still there) and I wasn't rude, I just told him that his techs are horrible and that I would never take my car there again. He remembered me and just sat quietly on the phone and didn't say anything until the very end. Which he said I probably have bad brakes. WHAT. I'm sure he knew they weren't any good when I came back and waiting for 2 hours the second time. I told him that I will just call that 400+ brake job a lost and have the dealer look at what terrible job they did. He even had the nerve to ask me to bring the old brakes back . I just hung up. I really hate writing bad reviews on business. But when the customer just gets shafted the way I did, everyone deserves to know before taking there vehicle to this place. I have also learned that when you try and save money by not going to the dealrship. You end up paying even more money. Frustrated! My 17 yr old son went into firestone on McDermott today to get a rear light bulb replaced and an oil change. Written estimate was $95. He comes home and spent $337. What?!? Why? Oh because he needs a new tire - okay maybe so. The sales guy, Evan, says so and Texas is really hard on tires so maybe so. The guy suggests a tire that costs $300, my son says he can't afford that and spends $139. Then the sales guy offers him an alignment warranty - lifetime or one year, those are his choices. This is bogus. A blatant up-sell for something you don't need. My son thinks those are his only 2 options b/c that's all the guy offers. Charges him $85 bucks for an alignment he probably didn't need. My son gets home and is really upset having spent so much when he was expecting to spend $100. I call Firestone to ask them to refund this ridiculous up-sell of $85. Spend 15 minutes on the phone with Evan and he says he needs his manager to approve it. What? Why? We got no service for the bogus "warranty". I'm telling him my son is 17 and has no reference to understand that an alignment should NEVER cost that much. Just another way for the guy to make more money - what do you want to bet Evan gets a commission for every "warranty" he sells??? Now I gotta deal with the manager tomorrow over this. My son is 17, I'm telling the guy this and he doesn't seem to get it. Bad business. And, funny thing, the firestone on Stacy tried to do the same thing to my 19 yr old daughter last year, but she called me and I told the guy no. I'm done with firestone. Took an hr to do a state inspection when she said 30 min. After they were done they tell me i need an oil change, coolant flush and brake fluid flush. I wish they told me half way through not at the end. This way I can decide If i want to do it. I would have done the oil change and coolant but i was just tired of Being there. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Rip off. My AC was flaking out And I brought it in. They wanted me to replace the condenser some valves a relay etc. It ended up 1150 worth of work. 400+ dollars worth parts and 660 for labor. I said hell no! Took it to another mechanic flushed it out cleaned out some valves added more freon. 200 bux works like new. They are con artists. I don't even want to give them a star. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I recently went to this Firestone to have my axis boot looked at because a tree branch got lodged in there and destroyed the boot. When I got to Firestone I explained what happened and the man told me the price of the part. While I was explaining what happened another worker was listening and he said very sarcastically "how long have you been driving?" I understand I am a 22 year old woman and I look young but this was completely uncalled for and disrespectful. After that the man that was working with me told me the price of the part and I heard him say $64.99 but when he rang it up it was $641.99, then he told me I would need an alignment done which was another $189.99. When I mentioned how expensive this was he said he would "cut me a deal" that deal was $10. I'm sorry but $10 when you're spending almost $900 is not "cutting" me a deal. I told him that was too much money and that I would not be able to pay for that he told me that I had to put down a down payment of some sort because he already ordered the part. I told him again that I was going to wait on the repair and he told me I had to put down some money because he already made the invoice and requested the part. I felt extremely pressured and uncomfortable in this situation. I should not feel pressured to spend $900 when it is my vehicle. With that being said I will never return to a Firestone again and I encourage everyone else to look somewhere else. After I left the store I called my usual mechanic where he told me the part was $340 and the alignment would be $100. The man at Firestone tried to charge me double what it should cost. Firestone tried to take advantage of me for my age and my gender. I will never encourage anyone to use Firestone again. read more

I got new tires with life time alignment and rotation and 50k miles warranty. I live a few hundred yards from the shop and we took our car there every 6 months. We were told we are bringing the car too often and we needed to wait until we drove 5k miles before we bring it in for a checkup. We did that and the next time we brought it which was after 5k mile the clerk his name is Jason told me all the people who told me not to bring in the car no longer work there and our warranty is void. He wanted me to pay $400 for two tires and get new warranty just to cover those two tires. Of course I am taking my business else where. Just advice to others never ever to deal with this shop. They are robbing people! read more

Never go to this location. I brought my 4runner in to get in an alignment done after I put a small 3 inch lift kit on it. They said they could do the alignment no problem. I patiently waited for my car to be done, and when it was, I was shown what they did (I assumed it was right) and politely declined their pressure to buy a new set of tires. Later that day I showed my SO my receipt and the alignment specs and he pointed out that they hadn't fixed a few things and that my car would now pull to one side, which it started to do. So the next day we made an appointment to bring my car back in and they said they would be able to fix it. We explained to them what we were asking for and they said that they would try and do it. When they called later for us to come pick it back up, they said that they weren't able to do what we had asked, so we politely asked for a full refund, to which the Firestone employee replied, "fine cause I don't want to deal with y'all anymore". So we arrived to pick up my car and the employee at the front desk, Jeff, I believe asked if he could help us and we told him we were there to pick up my car and he replied to my SO by saying, "oh you were the guy that was being rude on the phone earlier". In no way were we ever being rude, we just wanted the job done right or have the money refunded. Not once did they tell me when I was in there by myself that they would not be able to properly align my lifted car. He even said that "Firestone doesn't specialize on alignments for 4 wheel drive vehicles". Excuse me, but if you can't align 4 wheel drive vehicles, you're going to lose a lot of business. I felt that they were just trying to take advantage of me and get my money because I am a girl and I didn't know what to look for in an alignment. That is not the way a business should be run. We were treated very rudely, and not once did the Firestone employee apologize to me, the actual customer, he was just trying to berate my boyfriend. When he asked me for my card to do the refund he told us that he would be happy that we would never be returning to this Firestone location and that he didn't want us in his store. I had to ask him for my receipt cause he didn't offer to print it out for me, and when I did, I saw that he had written in a notes section on it that the customer has an attitude. Very unprofessional. If you want an alignment for even your basic stock vehicle, don't take it here cause I guarantee it will be done wrong and they won't have it fixed the second time. read more

A group of us were stranded on a Saturday evening in January in Allen with a passenger window that appeared to slide off the track and wouldn't stay up. We went to the Firestone dealer and not only did they fix it, but provided transportation to and from a restaurant for our entire group while we waited. Being from out of town, that could have turned in to a very difficult situation for us yet, this friendly dealership handled it in a manner that it didn't seem like a big deal. Knowing we were from out of town, they also checked our tires and oil gauge and sent us on our way. We felt very fortunate that they were open late on Saturday and appreciated their ability to replace the window part and also we really appreciated their friendliness. read more

This is a GREAT Firestone! I have been working with Kyle at this Firestone for almost two years and he has provided great service and price. I would encourage anyone who wants a trustworthy deal to work with Kyle. I have referred several friends and they all have been very satisfied with the service they obtained. Lucas is much more convenient, but I will not work with the Lucas Firestone. I will make the drive to McDermott any day. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!! i took my truck in for an alignment and was told my rack and pinion was leaking, tie rods were bad and hub bearings were bad. everything under the front of my truck is less than a year old and you can obviously see where the technician stuck a screwdriver in the rack and pinion boot to cause it to leak. i live 1/2 mile from the place and my truck wasnt leaking when i left my house, i had just crawled out from under it doing an oil change before i left so i know it wasnt leaking. they will end up with a major lawsuit of their employees continue doing work like this. read more

Took my truck in (Sept 2011) to swap new upgraded wheels and tires for my old ones. Turns out there was a miscommunication as to the exact work to be done, which I discovered several days later. To their great credit, once I let them know about the issue, they went far above and beyond my expectations to resolve the problem. We have always used and loved Bridgestone tires, so now I can highly recommend both Bridgestone tires and this Firestone Allen store! read more

I went there for my Honda Odyssey safety and emission inspection. The inspection failed due to front tires. Considering my Bridgestone tires were bought from Firestone store and it had only had 35000 miles for 80000 mileage tires, I requested for warranty coverage and credit towards new tires. The service advisor Michael rejected my request, even though I had 4 tire rotations done after I had bought my tires (4 rotations done over 28000 miles and 5th would have been done during the emission inspection). So based on Honda company recommendation, I have done the required rotations for my mini van. However, since my rotations were not done at Firestone facility (3 out of 4 were done at Honda service center), Michael rejected my request. He also said that the Honda service center may not have done rotation, even though Honda statement said so. He was extremely rude in his behavior when I mentioned about Costco customer service and how good that is as recently I used my warranty for my other car tire at Costco for a similar situation. Michael went on to the extent to ask me to get out of his store. It was an awful experience. I vowed to never go back to that Firestone store. The irony is, I went to another Firestone store within 5 miles (at the crossing of Coit and Legacy, in Plano, TX) and they covered my tire warranty, replaced new tires with due credit for the unused mileage using the same warranty (the service advisor at this other Firestone did not even check the rotation papers I had). Due to this terrible experience at this McDermott Firestone, I will never go neither recommend this Firestone in Allen near McDermott and Alma crossing and will provide my feedback on Facebook as well as other social network sites such as this one read more

My vehicle broke down last week and I had car towed to this location which is near my house. I was a mechanic years ago and know my way around an engine but I wanted them to diagnose the problem so that I could confirm what I believed to be the problem. They called me back two days later and tell me it needs an exhaust manifold and oil pressure sender fixed before they can figure out what the real problem is. Price quote of $1300. I told them I would send a tow truck to get the vehicle. I get it home and it turned out to be a clogged catalytic converter. I purchased everything from the engine to the tailpipe for the exhaust system on Rockauto.com for $400 and had parts shipped to my house. I cut off the exhaust tube in front of the Cat so the engine could breath and drive it to a muffler shop in Mckinney to have the new stuff welded on for $200. My total cost is $600 and car is perfect. Firestone charged me for diagnostics but never told me it was a clogged catalytic converter. If I were not a mechanic and did not know how to fix a car myself they would have asked nearly $3000 for something easily fixed for $600. Ripoff. read more
