We went with friends to see the Addams family musical. We enjoyed browsing the shops and had a cocktail before lunch in the beautiful lounge. The entire place is stunningly decorated. One ordered the Steak Diane and the rest of us ordered the butterflied shrimp with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their orders along with two excellent breads; crispy crusted white and a maple nut bread that was especially tasty. The dessert was ice cream rolled in nuts with a sweet rolled wafer, and it was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive. The show was a mix. At times it was fun, with upbeat songs and good jokes that landed well. At other times the humor fell flat and dialogue went low. So the rating would be a 5 for the food and venue and a 3 for the show. Will definitely be back, as it's always a good experience. read more

Stupendous, spectacular, outstanding! This theater and production staff of the Adam's Family are superb! Each cast member was a perfect match with their performances and their performances work. Our entire party ranging from ages 31-63 enjoyed it immensely that we were still talking about it the next day. And the dinner! From the moment we walked into our table to the moment we left we felt special and completely satisfied starting with the welcoming and wonderful staff. Each course was enjoyable but the bread was like no other. Full of flavor in both selections we even had a second basket! The cocktails also like no where else I've ever had in the state of Wisconsin. There's shareable with 2 foot long straws which are super delicious as well as the show's signature drinks such as pistachio. Yum-O! The watercress soup was so creamy good and unlike any I've ever had. The steak Diane was a little too fatty with a few bites not edible but the flavor was good. It was accompanied with sweet fresh carrots and asparagus on point. The chicken Alfredo was so tender and scrumptious with the pasta a little overcooked. Dessert was a turtle sundae with a crushed nut rolled which was delicious and kind of reminded me of fried ice cream. all in all it was spectacular and wonderful experience. read more

We had a good time attending the Legends in Concert: Elvis show! Unique show experience more like a concert. Service at Fireside Theatre was great especially with this being only my second time there and a first for the rest of the family. We also had my grandma in a wheelchair which we are all learning how to navigate. We were seated for brunch in a very easy access spot right off the walkway. The food was very good! My mother was uncertain about the flavor for the bread pudding and I told her to try it and well she may have ended up going back for thirds! It was a delicious sweet potato and praline bread pudding so good!! The cheesy hash browns and bacon were also a favorite of our group! We had a lot of help getting into the theater and the handicap row is set up where the wheelchair can just roll in or I the guest can sit in the chair and there is room to park devices. I do have to say it is quite a steep incline to get up there however so they will need someone pushing them and that is also hard! Then you just need to be careful on the incline down as well! Not all the bathrooms are wheelchair friendly for example the women's bathroom right next to the theater all the stalls are standard size which will not fit a wheelchair or likely a walker even. Back by the buffet there is a stand alone "family" bathroom this was the best bathroom with room for the wheelchair and someone to help aid if needed. The women's restroom right in the entrance to the building has a handicap stall however depending on need of assistance/wheelchair the door may not close this I am finding to be a common occurrence - I just stand outside the stall to keep the door shut and use my body to stand in the gap but just something to be aware of. That being said I'd recommend making your way to the restroom in the dining portion if ease of space is needed. We had a wonderful time and I'm looking forward to returning! We unfortunately missed out on the shops but there is always next time. read more

We had heard good things about the theater and decided to give it a shot. We ended up with a terrific meal, followed by a fabulous show. Did I mention shopping? We will definitely return for more entertainment and dining in the future. We arrived on a rainy evening. I was able to drop my partner at the door and found parking in the large parking lot. The individuals at the ticket booth were welcoming and did a great job telling us about the evening ahead. We took a brief look in the massive gift shop(s). We then headed to the restaurant. In addition to it being a cool space for dining, you could see the place ran very smoothly. We had a couple of drinks from their show inspired menu, received our salads and were then invited to the buffet. It offered something for everyone. All of the items we tried were prepared well and were very satisfying. Despite my partner not normally liking buffet style food, she said she would certainly go back for the Thursday night buffet. After dinner, we did a little more shopping before going into the theater. It is an intimate space, regardless of your seat choice. We then enjoyed a well acted performance for the next couple of hours. It was executed in a fantastic manner. Are the tickets cheap? No, but very worthwhile. read more

A fantastic place that is a joy to have in Wisconsin. This was my first time visiting after hearing a lot about this gem. Their Easter Buffett was good; being the mini-pastries and pineapple smoothie (that the servers welcomed us with), the highlight of the meal. The gift shops are very fun and they do a great job at keeping them stocked in themes. My favorite was the musical section. The musical instrument ornaments were top notch. Of excellent quality. The play was great and the performances outstanding. The theatre is intimate, and even if you sit all the way in the back, you'll feel like you are right there by the stage. Bought tickets for the Saturday afternoon show of the west side story and I enjoyed the entire experience! To start off, they request you to arrive at 1030, to dine at 1115, and then the show starts at 130. I thought 1030 was a little early for a 130 show but I arrived at that time anyway since it was my first time. When I arrived at 1030, you wait in line for the box office to receive your ticket to the show and your meal that you ordered with it online. It's then up to you how you spend your time be for the show. There's many shops inside that you can browse and buy items. The dining experience was great. During the Saturday afternoon dining you get a soup, bread basket to share, an entree and a dessert. As well as "free" coffee, tea, or milk. The chicken orzo soup was good. The bread basket was focaccia and walnut bread which was fantastic! I would recommend getting a loaf. I got the coconut chicken entree that was Felicia and flavorful. For dessert, I got the cherry crisp with ice cream that was delicious. Moving to the theatre, the show takes place on a square stage with the audience all around them. The actors are consistently moving on and off the stage. Was a really good show with great actors! Definitely recommend for a date night out! read more

Dinner Theatre with satisfactory food. Our group greatly enjoyed the Oklahoma show performance. Kudos to the cast, they were very talented and gave it their all ! Very professional performances. Also, it was very sweet that the theatre recognized patron birthdays and anniversaries before the performance. A lovely touch for those celebrating special occasions. The various staff we interacted with ran the gamut from disinterested to bossy, bordering on rude. Major exception were three younger restaurant employees. Two seated us and one was a server in training - they were all very pleasant and personable. The will call ticket process there is puzzling. You can't pick up dinner show tickets until 4:30 p.m. even though a window is open for sales and many people arrive early to shop so they could pick up tickets intermittently as they arrive, eliminating the long queuing line as people wait for for that firm 4:30 opening. I purchased tickets six weeks in advance. This 4:30 policy is posted nowhere and e-tickets were not an option. I arrived at 4 p.m. and stood in line for 10 minutes behind someone purchasing season tickets. When it was my turn I was smugly informed that I was too early. This person was not pleasant. Loftily told me that I had been told to arrive BY 4:45. (Yes, I had, and I did. This was not the issue.) Result is chaotic and a long line with people exiting the lunch show at approx 4:25 battling for hallway exit space with those standing in the hallway for the 4:30 ticket windows. Everyone got crowded together. Many attendees there are a bit older, using canes, etc. so managing this is hard on both ends. Also, the line for ticket pick up extends outdoors. It was warm when I attended yesterday, but I would be upset if I was there for a winter performance and had to stand outside. Luckily a gentleman waiting ahead of me in line tried to create a little organization by asking incoming and outgoing patrons to switch sides. This helped a bit, possibly the Fireside could consider having one of their staff facilitate in the future. Ou main restaurant server was a no nonsense individual. We had to ask for beverage refills, she did not check in with us throughout the meal. However our group still enjoyed ouselves and the restaurant itself is quite comfortable. We did not visit the bar/lounge but it looks quite cozy and we would like to visit there in the future. We tipped our server well and hope it was shared commensurately with her trainee assistant. There was an odd note once we were seated in the theatre. A restaurant employee brought the bill in and was going over it with a group of people in front of us. It was noticeable to everyone...it seemed they did not include either a gratuity, or an appropriate gratuity. She spoke with several of the people and it seemed they were confused and/or non-responsive. She did use wording such as, "it's up to you", " I just wanted to let you know", etc. We were not trying to eavesdrop, it's just weird to me that they wouldn't ask a member of that group to step outside the theatre to discuss. The performance had not started yet, this employee was standing at the head of the aisle, using no discretion, overhearing was unavoidable. Shops have a nice variety of merchandise with many items reasonably priced. We did make several purchases. Again however, just a rude tone when we inquired if the shops remain open at all after the show ends. Answer is NO !, that's okay, but jeez we just asked a question. So, 5 plus stars for the stellar performance. And nothing wrong with the food and food options here. We will likely return. But in honesty it's with the understanding that Fireside provides a "take it or leave it attitude" with their amenities. Blended rate of 4 stars, primarily due to caliber of the theatre experience. read more

Fireside has various theater productions. Many are song and dance shows. Great seating in the in the round theater. This is a dinner and show package. Thursdays is a buffet meal while Saturday is table service. The food is fantastic and service is the best. The Fireside staff are friendly and very helpful. I always enjoy myself. Then you had a choice of chicken, fish, or rib. I had the rib with a wine sauce. Delicious. Final was carrot cake with cream cheese. Have great shops to find that something you love to give someone special. We then were escorted to the theatre for a wonderful of show of Oklahoma. Felt Gordon McCrae and Shirley Jones were singing. Fireside is a very unique place. There's a huge parking lot. Then when you enter there are a few gift shops in the main hallway, a theater, a small bakery, and a huge restaurant. We went on a Friday for dinner and had to get a reservation. It's a busy spot on Friday nights because of their fish fry. The restaurant is very big with a lower bar area, different levels and rooms, a large fireplace, and small ponds/water throughout the space. A very unique spot! We started the meal with sweet old fashioneds. So good! They include a cinnamon stick that gives it a nice kick. Then they served complimentary bread. I'm not a fan of rye bread but the cheese bread was delicious. For my meal, I enjoyed their beer battered cod fish fry. The 4 piece was plenty of food. They were crispy and perfectly cooked. I had fries on the side that were crispy and pretty good. I think they have the best fish fry and old fashioned in the area. Our waitress was very nice. They were busy but did a good job. We loved the bread so on our way out I stopped at the bakery to grab a loaf. It wasn't as good as the bread on our table so I would skip it next time, but I love the idea of having this bakery option on the way out. We have been going here several times a year for 40 years or so. The plays are always good. We are amazed what they can do with a theater in the round. The food is still good, maybe a notch above average, but not as good or as many courses as it used to be. We recognize they need to save some money somewhere or raise the price of the ticket. I notice a review that indicated the employees were rude or disinterested, In all the times we have been there that has never been our experience. Our only complaint, and it's a minor one, is lately there is a fairly long line for seating in the restaurant. That didn't used to be the case. Overall though you if you like the theater this is a can't miss option. We highly recommend the Fireside Theatre. read more

On January 26th, 2025, at 1:15 p.m., the skies over the Fireside Dinner Theatre in Fort Atkinson Wisconsin were illuminated with an effervescent light that can be seen for miles. Why? Because inside the cozy fireside theater, Elvis fans were buzzing with excitement, eagerly waiting for the start of the tribute show dedicated to the one and only King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. The Elvis performers, Travis Powell and Taylor Rodriguez, along with their band members and ensemble members blew everyone away with their incredible performance. They rocked the circular stage with such passion that it felt like they owned the place. The thunderous applause, cheers, and laughter echoed through the theater, leaving everyone craving more. And guess what? They got it! They had been given an unforgettable experience! And speaking of unforgettable, proving again that Elvis only surrounds himself with the best annd the brightest Ensemble member Kieu T. Grisby proved flexibility is key to perform on stage. He transformed his right leg into a makeshift guitar and played air guitar alongside the band and Elvis as they jammed. Amidst all the cheering, he hopped around the stage on one leg, an amazing feat (or would that be foot) that left the audience spellbound. (You have to see it to believe it!) This concert wasn't just a special event for everyone in the audience. It was also a momentous occasion for a young man who had been a die-hard Elvis fan at the fireside for seven years. Back in 2017, during his first visit as an early teenager, he got a scarf from Elvis, and that left such an impression on him as Elvis is his hero. He had been hoping maybe this would be another lucky year. (Scarves stopped being given out because of COVID) His front-row seat and Elvis-inspired outfit caught the performers' attention, and he was lucky enough to be given a scarf by Elvis and it was captured by the kindness of a staff member! After the show, we got to meet the entertainers, and they were so nice and took photos with him. The Fireside theater proved once again why it's such a great place to go for a family night out. I have been going to shows at the dinner theater since I was a young kid. The shows are marvelous and affordable. The intimate stage that is surrounded by people from all angles present a fun and unique atmosphere for plays and musicals. I love to see how they curate each set. And the food is pretty darn good. I especially love attending the brunch option and trying the featured cocktail menu for each show. Everyone is welcoming and provides great customer service. A local staple but I could not hang. We came here on a Friday night for the traditional fish fry. The menu is simplified on friday pm: fried, baked, and steamed fish and chicken, salad, and some potato sides. Some kids and dessert options as well. We came into an interesting atmosphere of updated gift shops, dining, and a theater for shows. In our particular night, no show, or else you are forced to spend money on both. The restaurant seating was significantly big. The servers ran us unimpressivelly, through the menu. Nearly everything is fried except some random veggies which is eamed or sautéed. Despite our guests not yet fully arriving got dinner our high school aged waitress frequently bugged us for our order. Thank goodness the rest of the party arrived and we ordered our several fried items. It was just.....bad. The shrimp, fish, etc was just old tasting. The veggies were cooked hours before and got extra over cooked in the hot tray they were left in. Avoid. read more

The food at both performances was a good or better than a 5 star restaurant Service could not have been better. Both show's were great. All the performers were EXCELLANT! We had a fabulous time at the Fireside! When we saw they were playing one of our all time favorite shows-Fiddler on the roof- we knew it was time to go. The interior of the building is beautiful. We had so much fun strolling through the shops and made some nice purchases. We were there for a national we so we had a lovely lunch before the show. Our server Isabella was very friendly and efficient. To start we had a creamy tomato soup that was delicious. For entrees, I had a chicken cordon bleu and hubbie had beef tenderloin both served with cauliflower mash and Brussel sprouts. The food was outstanding and love the creative side dishes. Dessert was a yummy Oreo ice cream cake. We were pleasantly surprised how good the meal was. On to the show it was fabulous! It's a wonder how they can pull off a show like that on such a small stage but they did it well! The actors and actresses were super talented. We were singing the familiar songs all the way honey. This is a great way to spend the day. We arrived by 1030 am, browsed the shops, enjoyed a drink and had a great lunch. Choice of entrees were trout, chicken and pork. Not sure if a vegetarian option was available, but there must be. Good food was served in a huge aquatic themed dining space. After lunch, we attended the musical "Grumpy Old Men". The theater is a square with the stage at the center. There are no bad seats! The place was packed. The whole place is unique, clean and well maintained. Definitely worth the visit read more

The Fireside is always very well run from purchasing tickets, to the dinner and then the wonderful shows. The employees are always kind and helpful. It is easy for even the elderly to get in and out and all around! The gift shops have beautiful items, so reasonably priced that I never feel guilty buying myself a little present! First time and my experience was perfect!! Today we seen "A Christmas Story" (12/13/2019). Maybe beginners luck after reading some of the reviews but I WILL BE BACK!!! My lady and I decided to play hooky and book a Friday matinee. We arrived at 10:30am as they recommend, walked through the a gift shop that was full of delightful decor such as signage, ornaments, "socks", books, and other interesting items. As time flew by, we decided to find our seats in the dining room around 11:05. We sat upstairs (mind you, my lady had booked this event a month ahead of time so we had great seats through and through). The food was delicious! The tomato bisque was to die for. There was a small grilled cheese "slider" quarter sandwich that came with the soup. I do not typically eat grilled cheese sandwiches but the "slider" complimented the bisque. Delightful! The tomato bisque was perfect!! Just perfect! The waitress brought us a basket of warm raisin 7-grain bread (I hope I got that right) and soft butter in a dish. The wine complimented the bread or vise versa. The Martini & Rossi Asti Spumanti ($21 btl) was a good choice. I didn't say it was my favorite but it was a good choice. The wine and the meal went hand in hand. I don't drink coffee. The water was good too. The 4-piece main course was beef short rib and chicken cordon bleu finely dressed along with scalloped potatoes and spaghetti squash. My opinion, I would of been fine with either or. Neither one of us finished our plates as there was too much food to devour. Dessert was gingerbread frozen custard pie and it was smashing. Perfectly prepared and right for the season. All and all, the food and drink were perfect. I typically only eat fish on Friday, but I made an exception. We were pretty much the last ones in the dining room as we enjoyed each other's company, sipping wine, enjoying the moment. The ambiance was pleasant. Very relaxing and soft. As we removed ourselves from the dining hall around 1:00, we stopped to take a photo with Ralphie in his "deranged Easter bunny pajamas". Also took a photo of the iconic leg lamp. Don't be afraid to offer to take a picture for others as they will snap a shot of you in return. We had plenty of time for a washroom break and to roam through another gift shop. The gift shops are a must-see. As my mind was running wild wondering what the show had to offer, we found our seats on the main level in section W, C 12-13. The seats were perfect. Just a couple of rows back from the front which made viewing exceptional with actors running by us in the isle. Folks, this is the first time in "years" that my cheeks hurt from smiling for so long. The musical was so exciting. The singing, the tap dancing, the actors and actresses were all fantastic. The Klopcic family that owns and runs this venue have it down to a science. When I found out how much this place cost us, I could not believe how inexpensive it was. When you break it down, $83.29 a person for the show and dinner is peanuts. I would of paid double so we tipped the staff beyond healthy reason. (We pay over $200 for dinner and don't get a show at some place we dine). I will try this place again and if all goes as well as it just did, I am buying season passes and will become a regular fixture in 2020. No bs. I noticed some people liked it and some did not. Looking at faces in the crowd, most people were all smiles and laughter like myself and one person looked bored. I don't think I blinked. There was a 15 minute intermission about half way through the show. To make a long story longer, I would recommend this venue. I do not usually prefer a buffet so that will be on you if you choose to come on a day where the buffet is the only option. The matinee was a good choice seeing most children are in school during the day. This place has class and the owners went up and over my expectations. I applaud them and everyone who worked hard to put on a great performance. For that, we will be back soon! read more

Went for something fun/different to do on a Sunday (making the 45 minute drive from Delavan and without any real idea what this was all about) but it blew us away! To start, the brunch was really well done with a nice variety and I usually don't care much for buffets. We had a mimosa which was a full little bottle. Poked around the cute shops for a bit before the Elton John/Billy Joel show. It really was SO good and so entertaining! Again, I didn't really know what to expect and the performance far exceeded my expectations since this little gem is in the middle of nowhere. Overall, we felt it was a really solid value for $80 and a lovely and fun way to spend several hours on a Sunday. I look forward to returning again. My Birthday present to see Titanic. The food was to die for! Great, unique salad with melons & sesame croutons, the chicken dish that was sooo delicious, but let me tell you about that dark chocolate flan with fresh raspberries. O-M-G! All preceded by a flaming volcano drink to celebrate ME! turning 45y.o. We had 4 in my group, and we couldn't have had a better time with more laughs, yummy food, great company and a fabulous play. This place caught me by surprise. I had no prior knowledge of what this place offered other than a performing arts theater. So with that expectation, I was blown away by a cruise ship-like restaurant waitress service with a buffet style food options. There were dessert servings on the table before the main meal so that's a plus, which was a unique way to start brunch. We saw Elf the musical and to my surprise with the small size of the theater/stage and the beginning introduction of the Elf show set my low expectation of an uneventful show, I was more than impressed with the cast performance. It is a hidden gem and you can find a blown up newspaper article inside the theater. There are also niche shops where I wanted to buy everything but resisted. The sparkly jewelry that look a million dollars were actually affordable at a home hobby crafting price, imagine in the $10-20s. Worth checking out, there is also a sports bar where you can watch the Packers or Brewers play. This place has something for everybody at all ages. PS there are pokéstops and a gym too ! read more

First time visitor! We're already planning our next show! We saw Elf and it was a very good show. Great acting. Great singing. Funny too. I was a little worried when we got inside the theater and saw the size of the stage...but once the play started my worries went away! Prior to the show the dinner was amazing! We upgraded to chicken and it was worth the price! Also the sides were amazing. Overall it was well worth the price of admission!!! read more

This place, owned by the Klopcic family for over 50 years, harks back to another era. The somewhat dated but elaborate decor is flamboyant and fun. Imagine a 1970s Las Vegas resort transported to rural Wisconsin. This huge complex packs a restaurant, bar, gift shops, and entertainment into a windowless, dark and low-ceiling environment where you'd half-expect to see folks in Brady Bunch attire hovering over blackjack tables and slot machines (minus the cigarette smoke). The main entrance is actually in the northeast corner of the complex, near a towering outdoor sculpture. To access the restaurant, you must traverse a long, winding corridor past several gift shops and the theatre entrance. The gift shops seem to cater to grannies on motor coach tours (giggle!). Not my cup of tea, so while the missus browsed, I chilled out in the swank cocktail lounge with a bottle of New Glarus. The sprawling multilevel restaurant is divided into cozy spaces by attractive etched glass panels and a pond bordered by artificial plants. The latter recalls of one of Chicago's most romantic places of decades ago, Kon-Tiki Ports. Tiffany lamps cast a bright glow over each table. Depending on when you dine, various menu options are available. For our weekday lunch visit, our group pre-ordered a multicourse meal. Overall, its quality was on a par with banquet food served by 4-star hotels and cruise lines - very good to excellent. But Fireside's in-house bakery excels. Baskets of warm, freshly baked bread sent several of us scurrying to the bakery counter to buy a loaf or two to enjoy at home. Fireside's Signature Salad with chunks of fresh fruit and papaya dressing was also stellar. Our group ordered the chicken & ribs entree. Methinks the 3 bones were there just for decoration, as the rib meat was already detached. My portion of buttermilk fried chicken was just half of one breast. Though served piping hot, it was no longer crisp. Truthfully, the accompanying side dishes were more enjoyable. And kudos for the Georgia pecan pie, accompanied by a scoop of unctuous salted caramel ice cream. We were most impressed with the well-orchestrated service and extraordinary attention to detail. Substitutions and special requests were cheerfully accommodated. The theatre-in-the-round is very intimate and comfortable. The center portion of the stage is a circular hydraulic lift, which rotates and facilitates scene changes. Lighting and sound are state of the art. And the production we saw - "Rockin' At the Fireside" - was absolutely first rate. This dinner-theatre is definitely worth the two-hour drive from Chicago's north 'burbs. read more
