I don't know what's wrong with these people nowadays. I have been going to this pharmacy on and off for years. But this last time I went, I was treated like the customer is wrong, and the pharmacist is right. The pharmacist clearly made a mistake with my prescription that needed to be compounded. I made my boyfriend pay for it! $250 out of his pocket. I take injectable medicine with pre-filled syringes. That's what my prescription was for both times I went there in the first one. He made a mistake and wouldn't own it. It was so frustrating as I am very uncomfortable with not having a pre-filled kind he was very incompetent. I don't know what's happening to the quality of pharmacist that the owner is getting but I see here that they are losing a lot of people. Gee I wonder why. I arrived at 9AM, referred by Palm Desert VA for my prescription, and waited until the gentleman approached the entrance I was expecting him to open the entrance. He said, "You have to go around." pointed abruptly to the other entrance, which required me to drive around. I am a disabled Veteran and today I had very hard time walking. I fell twice stepping down the steps from the entrance to where I was parked. As I finally got to my vehicle, a lady who happened to be Caucasian, went to the same entrance I was departing. By the time I drove around and entered where I was directed, the same lady was in line and the entrance was unlocked. I was sad and disappointed and in disbelief. What happened to Fireside? from 5 star to zero! Fireside has been my pharmacy for over 8 years. Terrific all the way. Suddenly, they forget, they excuse, they are rude and they don't follow through. I am not certain what happened, but I know for certain there are: NO ADULTS IN CHARGE Pharmacist in charge? Ha! Misrepresents, makes promises he doesn't keep, and does not follow through even when he understands the severity of an issue. It's quite simple. Either you have the meds or not. If not, send me elsewhere. 8 year customer who in the first 5 years was likely one of their top revenue customers. Lost forever. My new pharmacy wil be WalMart, on Jefferson & Fred Waring. Cheaper prices (by far), and not so busy they cannot handle urgent needs urgently. As for vaccinations, etc., easy appointments, in and out and never a delay. That's it for me. Do not use this pharmacy! Yemi, the pharmacist, is very unprofessional and rude. After noticing that they had cheated me out of ten of my Adderoll capsules, I went there to tell them about it. Yemi was extremely rude and refused to fix their mistake. I reported them to my insurance company and they are preforming a fraud investigation on them. They don't care about you as a valuable customer. They lie about their mistakes and try to gaslight you. I'd give this place a negative zero if I could. read more

Using every excuse in the book as to why we would have to wait two weeks for a prescription to be filled. Never got a good answer as to why it took four days for us to be advised of the situation. The pharmacy offers medication packaging, and FAST service, usually under 15 minutes for most prescriptions. Well, I have used Fireside, La Quinta, and Las Palmas pharmacies for 10 plus years. They offer delivery as well. I get mine delivered once a month, and the prepackaged pill packs are very helpful when it comes to keeping track and ease of use. I'm pretty happy with the service and efficacy of Firehouse over the past few months. I need compounded cream and spray for shingles. Now let me lead by saying they were not initially so competent with respect to my prescription. The first time I went in they messed up my scripts. I'm now using Roadrunner Pharmacy - although they are based in Phoenix, they will deliver within 5 business days and the cost is only $62.95. This is an absolutely horrible and inconsiderate pharmacy. Our prescription needed to be compounded. We were told it would be ready the following day and that they would call us when it was ready to be picked up. We did not hear from them so we called and were told yes! It was ready. Come pick it up. Jumped into our car and we were on our way. They were closed when we got there. ( 15 minutes after the call ) And they were closed the following day. So inconsiderate. I called in after being rudely shut down at ANOTHER compounding pharmacy in the desert. My infant son caught the flu so I was pretty hysterical. Michelle was incredibly helpful and answered all my questions. I emailed a copy of the prescription to make sure she had all the right information and she called me back within 5 minutes. Had to sit and wait for 10 more minutes even though we came in 25 minutes past the time we were told it would be ready. Also no consultation was provided for a new compounded prescription. First visit. Paid cash. They had no one else in line (not busy). Obtained the drug on time as promised, hence the second star. I simply needed them to use the scanner that I could see in plain sight right behind the cash register to scan & email the one page receipt & description as required by my insurance co. They refused. Maybe they did not care that this was the first of a lifetime of this $56.95 medication. I had a second order for a different Rx costing $100-200 ea. That one is refilled every two months. They are very neat and clean, the way I look at a medical business, is it clean, the smell, the way they are dressed, do they have a name tag on so everybody knows who they are talking to...and this pharmacy were able to answer my questions and they passed with flying colors...they are a compounding pharmacy. Whoever answers their phones -- besides the pharmacists -- is rude and inefficient. On top of that she will lie to cover her tracks. I called in a prescription on Monday for delivery to me in Los Angeles. It was to be overnight. I reviewed my address with her twice giving her the exact apartment number. Wednesday and Thursday I checked it to see where the order was. At first they said someone came to pick it up for me which was an impossibility.. then they said they sent it out and UPS lost it. It turns out she never put the apartment number on the box so it sat in my lobby and someone took it. Instead of replacing the medication they made me pay another $145. To top it off when I went in to finally pick up my second prescription they treated me coldly and curtly. I encourage you to look elsewhere for your compounding needs read more

I'm astonished to see the good reviewsof Fireside Pharmacy, because my latest experience with them is nothing short of a disaster. I was seen in my physician's office on 12/2, and they were supposed to call in prescriptions for three different bioidentical hormones. When I returned to NC several days later, I called the Fireside to give them my credit card number (I have had to ask them at least 3 times NOT to keep the number on file). I find out the prescriptions have not been called in (I will deal with the doctor's office separately), but I had refills on two of the three hormone prescriptions (progesterone and testosterone) that I needed. The third hormone, ESTRIOL, is to be taken intravaginally, and I had not filled that prescription at Fireside before. I asked the young woman I spoke to, Amy (who had to ask me my name three times, and 3 times I had to repeat my credit card number to her) if she would call the doctor's office, get the order for the ESTRIOL, add it to the order for the other hormones and ship it to me. She said she would, and I was careful to ask her to please make sure that the vaginal applicators were to be included with the prescription, they are hard to get locally if the prescription is not filled locally. I get the box of hormones a week later, and instead of the ESTRIOL that I needed, the box contained a 90 day supply of BI-EST, a hormone that I took at one time many months ago, but do not take currently. Amy apparently never called the doctor's office, just took it upon herself that ESTRIOL and BI-EST are the same thing (they aren't) and filled the BI-EST without ever calling the physician's office for the right prescription. If she didn't want to call the doctor's office, she should have told me that from the beginning and I would have called them myself; it would have saved me a big hassle. I call the pharmacy, and email the doctor's office. The office talks to the pharmacy, the ESTRIOL is ordered. The pharmacy robo-calls me 12/14 to tell me the estriol is ready. I call back, explain to Michelle that there was an error and I shouldn't be charged for the estriol. She blows me off by telling me fine, if there is a problem she will call me back, but otherwise they will just ship the ESTRIOL. A week goes by and no ESTRIOL, but I attributed it to the holiday delay in shipping. Meanwhile, my doctor ordered another compounded medication for me, and Fireside calls to tell me it's ready (and to get my credit card number.) About 20 minutes later, they call back again, they found an ESTRIOL prescription for me, and do I want that shipped too? They never bothered shipping it to me when they said they would. I explained the whole situation to them AGAIN, they tell me they have to talk to the pharmacist, and then they call me back to tell me in order to get the ESTRIOL, I have to mail them back the BI-EST so they can reuse it. Of course, the BI-EST has to be mailed back at my expense. I was told when they received the BI-EST then they would mail the ESTRIOL to me. I get a package in this morning's mail----my compounded medication was in it, and so was the ESTRIOL------packaged incorrectly. The estriol is to be used intravaginally, but the container sent to me will not accomodate the vaginal applicators. I email the doctor's office, they call the pharmacy, pharmacy tells them the prescription was not sent in with the correct information----doctor's office tells me the prescription is written as Estriol Vaginal Cream 2.5mg/gm, apply 1/4tsp QD in the evening. Not to mention that 3 weeks ago when I asked for this prescription, I was very, very clear with the technician/assistant I talked to to PLEASE make sure that vaginal applicators were included. Pharmacy tells my doctor's office I have to send back the incorrectly packaged prescription back to them (again, at my expense) so the other prescription can be mailed. Pharmacy just calls me just to blame the doctor's office (they have filled tons of estriol prescriptions, and if they weren't sure this was supposed to be used intravaginally they should have called the doctor's office to clarify, so their blame game holds no water for me) and to tell me AGAIN that I have to mail them back their prescription, which I am doing so within the hour. And to note, this is not the first problem I have had with this pharmacy. I got an order of about $275 worth of medications this summer, shoddily packaged in a very thin padded envelope----and it was sent MEDIA MAIL rate (which can take up to two weeks for delivery, and is ONLY to be used for books and DVDs). Very unprofessional business practice. UPDATE: Spoke with the owner, who apparently called and grovelled to my doctor. Apologized to me all over the place, and actually expects me to return as a customer. I am horrified to find out a positive testimonial from me is on their website----I have requested that it be taken down IMMEDIATELY. read more

Someone called me the day after my order was sent by my Dr. to verify information, get payment and my out of area mailing address. That was great! Within a few days received my package...only one out of two perscriptions in the package?? Waited two days, when the other did not arrive I called the Parmacy. Was NOT treated like I was the important customer who CAN go elsewhere. The girl helping me put me on hold 5 times to keep checking my name, birthdate, address ect.... Then to come back and say "Yeah, we have your perscription here!" I explained that I did not live in the area and why wasnt it mailed with the other? NO EXPLANATION, NO APOLOGIES! Pharmacist filled prescription with the wrong cream(testosterone) and blamed it on my doctor. He was abrupt and rude. When I called my doctor she said she NEVER prescribes testosterone so there you have it. Don't waste your time. I'm back to my original mail order pharmacy--Beverly Hills Compounding where they haven't made a mistake in 6 years. Stay away this place is dangerous. I went to there and picked up my testosterone as usual. I went home and stored the bottle like I always do and started to use it just like I always do and then suddenly they were crystals in the bottle. I had my typical blood test and things have changed big time. I stopped everything and the next thing you know things went back to normal. When I went to the pharmacy to ask them about this obviously bad bottle they said no not our problem. The WORST compounding pharmacy I've ever dealt with. My Dr. ordered an increase of my thyroid dosage. The name brand was not offered at the time as the pharmaceutical company making the drug was out of stock.Fireside assured me that they compound the same dosage. After having it filled by them an assured they use less fillers and high quality ingredients I started taking my daily dose. As I have had my thyroid removed over 33 years ago, I'm familiar with the different brands of thyroid meds, and many of different dosages. After taking the compound dosage for about 1 week, I had all the Hypo thyroid symptoms. My Dr. suggested I remain on dosage for several more weeks. After 5 weeks and all the bloods test my thyroid numbers had soared from a normal range to almost 15. Which is dangerous. Contacted the Fireside, several times, send them over by blood test results. They could have cared less, blamed it on my body not absorbing the med. I am back on a brand name med and getting back to normal, after this awful experience with Fireside. I have filed a complaint with the FDA and also California Pharmaceutical Assoc. DON'T USE THIS PHARMACY, RUDE STAFF, COLD, INDIFFERENT, AND ONLY CONCERNED WITH COVERING THEIR ASS. read more
