I really wanted to write a stellar review for Michael Angelos, but in good conscience I can't…read more After an exciting meeting in a beautiful space, I paid the $300 deposit to have the company decorate and light my Notre Dame wedding. My budget was $4000, which isn't extravagant, but in South Bend, when I am providing my own linens and chargers and even candleholders, should get me what I envisioned. Fast forward to the planning meeting. The designer suggests putting this here, and that there. Everything looks great. All the while, I keep reminding her of my budget and she assures me everything will be wonderful. Two weeks later, I receive her design proposal which was OVER DOUBLE my budget. They also wanted to charge me $2000 solely for set up!! Although she fixed the proposal to be more within budget, the proposed decor and flowers were very plain, completely lacking in any wow factor. As a result of this, I ended up going with merryme events. Cher was able to give me my vision within my budget. It goes without saying that any wedding could be breathtaking if money was no object. However, the mark of a good florist and designer is making a beautiful space within a designated budget. They missed the mark completely. I did apply the $300 for uplighting at my wedding which was fine.

michaelangelos really knows what theyre doing …read more... they do a great job of communicating with you at every phase of the event planning, and the execution is spot-on. i particularly appreciated that they both designed/created elements based on our conversations, and also worked with what we brought them (e.g., items wed ordered from etsy), so it was easy to be pretty free to go with the flow as ideas hit you. one of my fav things, though, was that they were able to do things like string up decorations (something ive never done in my life. im scared of heights + bad at math, so its a miracle i even figured out how to order enough of the papel picado .... ), and they were also able to devise a way to drape a fabric that went with our bright color scheme over the curtains that were in the venue windows (which were a bright red thanskgiving/christmas-like pattern that looked like they were from the 70s (even my husband noticed them/thought they were terrible, and hes color-blind and sartorially-challenged)) to mask them. fantastic mix of professional and artistic -- i think theyre great to work with both if you know more or less what you want and need help executing it, and also if youre a blank canvas :)

We met with Haley several weeks prior to the wedding to discuss the music selection. We opted for traditional (but they have a huge musical library, including contemporary selections). We were open to suggestions and she had great recommendations for us. She played samples for us during the meeting and we were able to select all the music for the ceremony. They were originally going to play outdoors for our ceremony; however, we had to make a last minute change and move indoors due to the cold and rain. Everything went smoothly and their performance added the perfect touch to our wedding.

I filled out his form on his website and within minutes he called me back. This threw me off because I went to contact 4 DJs before him, and I didn't receive a response for days. Jason was very explanatory towards what he does. He is very detail oriented, but also works very well off his cuff. He is a constant in an event of constantly changing variables. He takes the requested music for the open dance portion of the ceremony, holds off drunken, inappropriate, and nonsensical request. Most importantly, he understands how to read a crowd, and how to get and keep people on the dance floor. I highly recommend Hashtag for your event.

He has a skillful way of getting everyone on the dance floor, including my aunt; whom ambulates with the assistance of a walker. The guests really had fun in seeing their pictures instantly uploaded to his many monitor screens. The light show was fantabulous. He also provided music for the ceremony and everything was on point!! There were times that music was required and we overlooked this but his choice of music in those instances were fitting and we are ever so grateful. When I heard she was having a D J for music, my first thought was that this would be just another D J. How wrong was I. I seldom dance at weddings. Cher and her team did such a great job with our wedding. I loved our flowers and she was able to…read moreincorporate some buttons from my deceased grandmother's wedding suit into my bouquet and my mom's corsage. She also beautifully incorporated the paper flowers I had purchased from etsy seamlessly into my bouquet. Her team also managed to get the flowers added to our chuppah (Jewish wedding arch) after it was built (Merry Me and Aays had less than 30 minutes to get the arch built and decorated). I loved our centerpieces. I wanted books and low flowers and lots of candles and that was exactly what we got. Everything arrived on time and was set up to look great. We were impressed with the execution, timing, and pricing (we thought MerryMe would be out of the budget and were pleasantly surprised). They also had another small event to tend to that day... the tailgate for the Garth Brooks concert and it never felt like we given anything but their full attention and effort.
