Super lucky to have found Kaity. When I decided to get married in six weeks I immediately started searching through local resources and remembered OMG Photography. It was pure luck that she was available that close to the date and her prices were spot on with my expectations. Kaity is incredibly responsive, I never went more than 8 hours without an email response from her. This was key as I was planning an out-of-town wedding and very appreciated. We had a non-traditional wedding - outdoors, teeny-tiny, and only a rough schedule - and Kaity was willing and able to roll with our plan. She drove out to our family cottage (which is really hard to find), arrived early, and just immediately blended in and started shooting. She shot both our small ceremony on the beach and a hour of our family reception. She was amazing! I hadn't met Kaity prior to the wedding, so I think that's always a bit weird, but I immediately liked Kaity when she arrived and she made working with her feel comfortable and easy. Most of my family kept forgetting she was even there and I think that was even better because she was really able to act as a photojournalist for the event. Kaity left us at 7pm and had a blog post up with preview photos by 11pm! Wow! It was so awesome to be able to share a sneak peak at the event with family and friends, especially since our wedding was tiny and many weren't able to be with us. Kaity is awesome! She is professional, communicative and talented. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding she photographed and the pictures were STUNNING; so when I heard that she was taking clients in Chicago, I had to hire her for our fall family pictures. It was one of the best experiences that I have had to date with a photographer. She was early for the shoot, brought a blanket for us to use in the photos, and took a few extra shots above what we had contracted her to do. She even captured smiles from my 5 month old who was cranky late in the day as we had to accommodate my husband's work schedule. She also got us our pictures in 5 DAYS so that we could take advantage of the discount print sale that was going on (and two of those days were Saturday/Sunday). Kaity, the owner of OMG photography, photographed my courthouse wedding last week. I knew going into choosing a photographer for such an occasion that I wanted someone who could think outside the box and would be comfortable with a rather unconventional photo shoot. However, I also wanted someone who would take a lot of great pictures to share with all the people who we would have invited to a "real" wedding. I met with Kaity to talk about the details and knew immediately that she was just the person to do both. As the months passed and my wedding crept closer, I kept an eye on Kaity's blog and saw the wonderful work that she did for more traditional weddings. I admit I was a bit nervous about how our own wedding would photograph. Kaity took our wedding photos this past weekend. There were a number of impressive accomplishments from the big day, including navigational feats, spontaneity captured on film, family members skeptical of professional photography, and survival from wild animal attacks (okay, it was a dear that crashed our family ceremony, and it was awesome). Before the wedding we sent some personal pictures of ourselves to Kaity to give her an idea of our personalities. When she arrived, she jumped right in and made herself one with the crowd. She fit right in and didn't miss a single event all day. She followed us to the reception and took more photos of the additional family members that joined us after the ceremony. By the time we went to bed that night, Kaity posted a blog with a large number of the photos from our wedding. The pictures were beautiful, our family was put at ease that the results would be produced, and our friends could all see what a beautiful event we were able to host. We could not be happier with the results so far. The rest of the pictures will arrive on a USB drive in several weeks and they will all be ours. read more

We asked Kaity to do the impossible: take great pictures of a squirmy, strong-willed toddler. She did it! We had a great time with Kaity at the shoot. She was very professional, but at the same time friendly and laid back. Taking pictures can be awkward, but we were very comfortable, and enjoyed the entire shoot. Once we were finished, we wondered if she had gotten any good shots, since our daughter was not at all interested in sitting still or smiling for the camera. We needn't have worried -- the pictures are amazing! She captured some of our daughter's best facial expressions, and caught some very sweet moments in the midst of chaos. The hard part, now, will be figuring out how to choose which pictures to frame! In short, Kaity exceeded our high expectations and gave us pictures we'll always treasure. Kaity is INCREDIBLE, through and through. Her photos are absolutely stunning, to start. Both of our parents have cried multiple times when viewing the album she sent, and I am already having a tough time picking out ones I want printed (because they're all so beautiful). We had a wonderful experience with Kaity and Tina at OMG Photography! Kaity is very professional and sent us a thorough questionnaire ahead of time to make sure that we got everything we wanted out of our wedding photos. She and Tina were with us the whole day, from hair and makeup in the morning to the First Look to taking photos around downtown Chicago to our wedding ceremony and reception at the Harold Washington Library. We also did engagement photos with her around Notre Dame campus, and she had lots of creative ideas for places to take photos. Kaity was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We were married at the Basilica and had our reception at the Morris Inn. I (bride) did not go to Notre Dame, nor was I from the area, so a photographer that was knowledgeable and able to share shot ideas/locations was ideal. We met with several photographers and when we sat with Kaity her passion of photography, knowledge of Notre Dame, and impressive photobooks made it clear to us she would be perfect. Throughout the planning process she was accessible and professional. We met about a month before the wedding to go over a questionnaire she had me fill out and discussed shot locations, certain photos that were "musts", when she would arrive to start the day, etc. It was very helpful and allowed me to feel very confident that our photos would be great.
