Kaleidoscope Events exceeded all of our expectations as both an officiant and as an emcee. John relieved so much stress from the wedding process and offered invaluable insight and recommendations to make our day perfect.
John was an asset in planning our wedding. As with most people, this was our first wedding and we were clueless! There are so many tiny details, which John brought to our attention so we could perfect them before the big day. Through countless Skype meetings and phone calls, we were able to hammer out the fine aspects from hundreds of miles away!
First, as an officiant John was simply amazing! We received countless compliments, many of them saying it was the best wedding ceremony they had ever attended. We asked John to be both personal and serious and he found the ideal medium. People laughed, participated in the ceremony and then came to an emotional and serious level when the vows were read. It was PERFECT.
The best part of the ceremony was the amazing teamwork John and his wife, Danika demonstrated. We were working with younger kids and were worried they wouldn't remember the cues to open and close the doors. John was able to make contact with Danika, who would then discreetly knock on the doors and the kids would know when to open and close them; it was ingenious and worked like a charm! It was great to see them working with both the children and adults involved in our wedding.
John also served as an emcee at our casual reception. Here he organized the perfect "dinner party" playlist which consisted of everything from Frank Sinatra to Miley Cyrus, and made it flow seamlessly. Both him and his wife were on-hand to gently guide us and help us keep track of time. They kept us organized and to a general schedule of events, but did not make us adhere to a strict schedule at all. It made our reception more relaxed and at our own pace, which alleviated a lot of stress! Once again, we received lots of compliments on John's performance at our reception. John had another brilliant idea when he suggested that we dismiss tables for dinner with trivia questions. We made people work for their dinner and it was hilarious! It was funny to see who answered the questions both right and wrong!
All in all, Kaleidoscope Events made our day perfect. I am not sure what we would have done without them! The ceremony was so incredibly personal, that several people asked if we were related to John and Danika. They were surprised to know that we had only known each other for about 6 months. I cannot wait to see what John and Danika do for Southwest Michigan with Kaleidoscope Events. You are looking at one of the premier wedding services in the area!
