I used to see commercials for this chain all the time on the television, but there were no Firehouse Subs locations where I used to live, so seeing that there is a location here in Vidalia, I just had to try it. I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Turkey (medium) on White Bread. The sub has smoked turkey breast, pepper jack cheese, sweet mustard sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and a hint of Caribbean seasoning. It also comes with a pickle on the side. The bread is soft, and the ingredients go together well. I really liked the sweet mustard sauce. I'm not sure about any other locations, but this location has a drive-thru which is convenient. The service was also fast. Overall, a good place to go to get a sub. I got two salads from here last night and Im telling you that it was the worst. The salad ( if you can call it that) consisted of the stems and bones of romaine lettuce. And AND it ended up being a cupful and the rest red and green peppers and cucumbers. I am so angry. I realize firehouse mostly sells sandwiches but why do you have salads on the menu if you aren't even going to make it properly. I don't know about other Firehouse Subs because I have never been to any but the Vidalia location. My wife and I eat there sometimes when we go to Vidalia and we have found it to be very rewarding. It's clean and service has always been good, the food has always been great. I can't fault them on anything we have had so far, so I gave them a 5 star because I couldn't give 10 stars. I also might add, I myself judge a business's cleanliness by the restrooms. Their restrooms have always been clean and stocked. At the Firehouse Sub In Vidalia I give them an A+ for cleanliness and great food and service. I highly recommend them. TomC read more

I love the firehouse subs concept in McDonough where I live the guys know how to make my sandwich and it's always perfect! so I figured it will be exciting to go to this one... Not really- it's like way too much bread and not enough meat anytime I've gotten a sandwich here. We tried it again this week because I've noticed it's open and I got a salad which I thought would be good and I specified no tomatoes no green pepper which they did that which is good I got the balsamic vinaigrette on the side the other thing is the meat is honestly thin - the ham and turkey they put on sandwiches which is hard-core shaved very very thin meat. It's the same meat that they put on the salad. We drove by there last night because there are so few places to get something remotely healthy in Vidalia (we had already passed Larry's) so I was like well I'll just get a kids sub. When I've gotten the roast beef here before it was the nice and rare like I like - it was just thin not like where I've eaten at other locations around Atlanta. There was a cone up at the drive-through so obviously we couldn't drive through and get it to go and light was still on open at the front side of the building so you have to park to the left of the handicap spaces and go in the door that's kind of like at the front of the building... but at 9:07 they were closed. It was a Wednesday night in April 2022. Don't really know what else to say cause it's like the third time you've been somewhere and it's kind of not really how you've been before it makes you question about going back. I just left firehouse subs and get my favorite Specialty, sub that I get while they are serving them. The barbecue Cuban I have eaten these subs and many locations can honestly say I can honestly say this is the worst sandwich I have been served. The meat taste old. The ingredients are not right. I've taken four bites and throwing the rest away. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't me on the first bite several more just to see it was horrible. read more

Well, last week it was "Five Guys", and now it's a problem with Vidalia's newest fast food restaurant, "Firehouse Subs". Yesterday, I went there and watched in horror as the lady made my sandwich with her facemask pulled completely down below her mouth and nose. The other lady behind the counter, putting the sandwich in a bag, had her mask pulled beneath her nose. This business has only been open a few weeks and Toombs County's COVID-19 cases are rising faster than ever before. The staff at Firehouse Subs were friendly and efficient, but they were not giving me a secure feeling about buying food they are preparing for me without shielding that food from their exhaled breath, coughs, and sneezes. Ironically, I had used my phone app to order the food. I prefer to do that because it keeps me from having to handle money or hand them my credit card and risk contamination. This restaurant's policies; however, required me to come in to pick up my order rather than pick it up at the drive-thru. If I had not come in, I would not have been able to see how they were not wearing their masks properly and would have been oblivious to how they were endangering my heath. While the Coronavirus is raging through Toombs and my wife's immunity is compromised due to her receiving chemo, regrettably, I won't be trading with Firehouse Subs in Vidalia. read more

But since I saw that the only other review was a three star, I was inclined to post that all of my experiences thus far (4) have been good in every way. It's standard FireHouse (yummy). Service is fast and friendly, although right now they're always packed so expect a bit of a line. So far all of our orders have been accurate. No complaints at all. read more

Ordered 4 sandwiches to the tine of nearly $50. Waited 40 minutes, and asked about them. Was told there were 3 more tickets in front of us. Another 10 minutes we finally got our food. 4 employees were joking, flirting, and playing behind the counter only two were occasionally making food.
