Front of the restaurant where you have to go in the door from that angle.

I love the firehouse subs concept in McDonough where I live the guys know how to make my sandwich and it's always perfect! so I figured it will be exciting to go to this one... Not really- it's like way too much bread and not enough meat anytime I've gotten a sandwich here. We tried it again this week because I've noticed it's open and I got a salad which I thought would be good and I specified no tomatoes no green pepper which they did that which is good I got the balsamic vinaigrette on the side the other thing is the meat is honestly thin - the ham and turkey they put on sandwiches which is hard-core shaved very very thin meat. It's the same meat that they put on the salad. We drove by there last night because there are so few places to get something remotely healthy in Vidalia (we had already passed Larry's) so I was like well I'll just get a kids sub. When I've gotten the roast beef here before it was the nice and rare like I like - it was just thin not like where I've eaten at other locations around Atlanta. There was a cone up at the drive-through so obviously we couldn't drive through and get it to go and light was still on open at the front side of the building so you have to park to the left of the handicap spaces and go in the door that's kind of like at the front of the building... but at 9:07 they were closed. It was a Wednesday night in April 2022. Don't really know what else to say cause it's like the third time you've been somewhere and it's kind of not really how you've been before it makes you question about going back. The struggle is real in Vidalia, Georgia to try and find something healthy to eat.

I was always a little wary of this place because it doesn't look like much from the outside. But…read morethe inside is clean, and my hot ham & cheese was nice and fresh. I liked that it came with a giant pickle spear... haha. I had a cold when I went there, so I couldn't taste very well. But what I could taste was excellent, and I'm already thinking about what I'll order next time from the extensive menu. Larry's is a great alternative if you're tired of Subway. Update: No pickles with a to-go order? That's lame. We also discovered that the drinks are waaaaay too expensive. Water it is. But we still love the sandwiches.

Better than Subway - as they offered more variety to put into one's salad or sub. You pay a few dollars more than Subway, but it was basically decent, and they gave you a big slice of pickle on the side. And they gave you a points card that everytime you went in and ordered a salad or sub, when enough points were accumulated, you'd get a free salad or sub. So when enough points were accumulated, I happily handed my fully checkedm off card and ordered a Sally Sherman Egg Salad salad with the usual Egg and Mayonaise mix egg salad. But when the salad was brought to y table, I looked down at the salad and saw ONE HARD BOILED cut in half and each of the two little egg halfs were neatly placed in the upper left and upper right corner of the salad. No egg and mayonaise mix egg salad! This happened around 2012, 14 years ago. Such a rip off scam. I have only frequented the place ONCE in 14 years, to see if there were any possible improvements. Just saw the prices jacked up to the Moon! The place is just an over promoted rip off joint. Won't be going back ever again! Avoid Larry's Giant Subs and save yourself the grief. This is just the cheese I was able to eat around. The yucky lettuce went into the trash.

Our waitress approached management and they personally came to our table, offering to make us anything from the griddle. The wings were phenomenal (Spicy Garlic Parm and Jameson Honey Whiskey) and the drinks were very reasonably priced. All of the staff were friendly and checked on us, making us feel very welcomed. The atmosphere left nothing to be desired! We sat on the deck overlooking a small lake- there were string lights, some signs and decor, and just enough light to set a relaxing vibe. They were even decorating for Halloween, and all of the staff were happy and excited, such a nice sight that showcased a family environment. We later realized it was the owner who had approached us and personally cooked our food! What an amazing way to welcome and take care of customers! We have added this to our road-trip stops and can not wait to come back here again! Don't pass this one up, you won't be disappointed!

Has a diner like feel with green vinyl booths and pub lighting. There is a separate sports bar type concept across the hall from the regular restaurant. Very much a basic grill and sandwich type of place. They have cheeseburgers, various types of breaded/fried chicken, steaks. Ham and turkey sandwiches and hoagies. They have lunch plates serving up things like honey sriracha salmon, chicken tenders, fried shrimp, etc. Apps include cheese sticks, jalapeño poppers, ahi tuna. They have a setup where you can do their salad bar, soup and salad, soup and half a sandwich, and various types of prepared salads. They have daily specials as well, which is what I ordered from. I had the bacon pimento cheeseburger medium, and it was cooked appropriately and well-seasoned. The pimento wasn't quite melted, but was still pretty good. Bacon was perfect. Large portion and I only ate half and took the other half home. The fries were fantastic! My meal cost without tip was 21 dollars, and I consider that a great deal. Other specials included fried pickle chips, lemon herb cod, blackened chicken Alfredo, sweet potato casserole, California chicken salad. Service was on the southern side of slower, but attentive. My server even got me a Diet Coke in a to go cup as a courtesy, without being asked. Most of my time over the last five years has been spent in New York and other metro cities. Don't walk into this place expecting a Michelin star restaurant. It's a homey rural feel with down to earth people and decent food. Take it for what it is and enjoy the kitschy southern atmosphere.
