Just terrible... stoodat the register trying to place an order and it took someone 8 mins to acknowledge me

This was my first time at Firehouse Subs in Morgantown area. I was surprised that my points from Nashville hadn't expired. I received a Happy Birthday email from them with a free 8" Medium Sub of my choice...so I was in the area with my husband and we stopped to get dinner and take back to our hotel room. I went with the Hook and Ladder which was Ham & Smoked Turkey with Provolone Cheese. Tony had a sandwich that was similar to mine but had Roast Beef on it also. I love reward programs. Honestly kind of disappointed with this hoagie. I asked for no tomatoes and of course it had tomatoes on it when I opened it up. Not a big deal but I think it's funny when any MTO place screws up an order. For an Italian hoagie, it had too much turkey on it and took away from all the items on the sandwich. Could barely even notice the dressing or other toppings. I will say it was a big sandwich and definitely filled me up. I hate giving bad reviews but I was disappointed with this experience read more

My wife and I are starting to develop a new habit of going to a movie and grabbing a sandwich from Firehouse Subs. I've eaten at this location twice in 2 weeks and have had enjoyable experiences each time. My orders were placed via the app, and they were spot on each time. In fact, I forgot to have the onions removed from my sub, which was no big deal. When I arrived, I approached the counter and asked if it was too late to modify my order. The young man building sandwiches said, "Sure! No problem!" And then skillfully left the onions out. He was careful to point out which of my 2 subs was onion free. My sub was absolutely soggy. The bread fell apart to the point you couldn't pick it up. Cold and in my opinion gross. The Mac n cheese was decent. No complaints there. The brownie was also decent. Staff were friendly and pickup was smooth. Unfortunately only rating one star due to the quality of the sub. read more

Came at lunchtime (around 12) and they told everyone it was a 15-20 minute wait. Waited 30 minutes for sub-par subs and flavorless chili while the staff told everyone that walked in it'd be "a 25 minute wait"... there are like 3 people sitting at the tables waiting for food. Staff complains as people walk out that "there's only 4 of us how can we keep up." 5 minutes later one employee says "I'm taking a break" and walks out the back door. Maybe we came on a bad day? Stopped in for subs on the way to a state park. My husband and I got the Smokehouse brisket and cheddar. My son got the Turkey bacon and ranch. I must say. I was so excited to see that Firehouse Subs offer gluten free bread, and I may be back again for that reason. However, the staff seem disengaged and aimless, my sandwich tasted fine, but on boyfriend's sandwich they forgot the cheese, which is an odd thing to forget on a steak and cheese sandwich. Not an issue with the employees or staff, the food here has been some of the worst quality I've ever experienced, overly oniony everything, bread is soppy and wet drenched in grease. Had the turkey sub. Very good. $9 for the biggest size is not bad. They put plenty of veggies and toppings on. Little bit of wait. This place is not fast like Subway but way better subs than Subway. I will definitely eat here again. read more

Great food. Service not so great. Ordered at 12:20 and 36 minutes later I am still waiting. Smh Unfortunately this is not the first time I have had to wait this long. Here's an update. 45 minutes after placing the order I get called for my sub. Someone else who has been waiting the same amount of time that I was asked the shift manager what the issue was and the shift manager called him out and said if you don't like the wait then you should get a refund. The them tells the waiting customers that the web and call in orders get taken care of before the walk ins. So I'm guessing that if you go in and place an order and a large order comes in after you just placed your order then you have to wait until the other orders get taken care of. Once again the sub was AWESOME but the manager on duty needs to be told how to interact with customers. I will never return to that store again. So sad. read more

This is my first and last time eating at firehouse subs. I ordered a gluten-free steak sandwich and paid over $11 for it. The sandwich was tiny and the sautéed onions were crunchy. Not grilled at all. Horrible sandwich. You can get a sandwich 10 times better than this for a cheaper price at Jersey Mike's down the road. Also gluten-free. Been here twice, at lunchtime, in the last 4 weeks. Upon arrival, during both visits, staff ask us if we were in a hurry because it would be a 20 plus minute wait time till we could get service. Unbelievable. In the future, we will take our business elsewhere to Jimmy Johns or Mikes right down the road. Overall, great food when you can get service. Delicious subs, but their attitudes, wait times, and general customer service are all atrocious. I waited to review until I had been here several times and every time I have been met by the most miserable looking faces. I have stood at the counter as the manager and several employees walked by without a greeting or smiling face. I even waited nearly 45 minutes for a sub because they were making a call in order Instead of serving guests already in the restaurant. This is the second time I have eaten here and it was worse than the first. I could go on all day about the horrible service in this place. The worker was so lazy he couldn't be bothered to wait on us. We waited on 2 sandwiches for almost 30 minutes, no exaggeration. My sandwich had all the meat on one side and almost nothing on the other. I did not order extra meat but it was not really even enough for half a sandwich. He completely got my son's order wrong and didn't want to replace it. This place needs new management. I actually took a picture of the sandwich and sent it to Firehouse. Have to say each time I come here it is just gets worse. Nothing liking walking in at 645 and the whole crew is sitting down and walking around with ear pods in there ears. Tried to redeem my points and was having problems and the person check9ng us out did not try to help but just got annoyed. I went in not knowing what to expect. I love how friendly the staff was and patient while I looked over the menu. My sandwich was made right in front of me and tasted delicious. The place was decorated with things from the local fire houses which was a great surprise. I was even given a cute firefighter's hat for my daughter. I have been at the Morgantown location several times. EVERY time I have been a disappointed. From the staff NEVER getting my order right (when altering their subs) to quality of subs. I go out of my way to eat at the Fairmont WV and the McMurray PA locations. Both of these locations are amazing. Don't think that all locations are like Morgantown. I even filled out the survey explaining about the numerous errors and lack of concern with my orders. Do they care..... NO! The survey asks if you want a call and I said yes. Still no call or concern. As a LEO, I support Firehouse subs but the Morgantown location is an insult to all first responders. read more

I enjoy the subs here. Much better than Subway and plenty of options. The location is very clean and the service has been speedy. Prices are maybe a bit more expensive than other sub places but not too bad overall. read more

This is by far the most unorganized place I have ever been to. They have five people behind the counter and they are backed up for thirty minutes. One guy has been working here for at least a month and he still has no damn clue on what he is doing. If u have an hour break then this is your hang out . They just suck. read more

This is our favorite sub place in town. My hubs is trying each sub on the menu (we're up to trip #4) and he likes each one very much. I always get the same thing: pastrami on wheat, provolone cheese with extra mayo. The prices, service, drink selection and desserts are great! So glad Firehouse came to Morgantown !! read more
