Not a very good place for teenagers to work. Ive seen first hand how they treat these kids, and it's always the really hard working kids too! They're nice and talk sweet to the parents face but treat the kids like crap while working! They wonder why they cant keep help!! Their supervisors and people that have made a career working at kroger make these kids feel like crap, calling them annoying if they have a question, laughing at them in front of customers! I get it, you made a career out if kroger, but this isn't a career for a kid! It's a job to have extra cash and pay for a car! Get decent supervisors and you might be able to keep help! Of all of the kroger's in morgantown this one has the freshest produce. The meat selection is not the greatest and there are few options and often empty shelves in the meat department. The gluten Free selection is very very small and lacks variety. Overall there are very few options when it comes to healthy eating aisde from the fresh produce. The parking lot is a bit of a circus and your head needs to be on a swivel when walking through it. read more

Their self check out NEVER works properly, their employees clog the aisles at peak times to restock, and good luck ever getting something from the deli in a timely manner because it's constantly understaffed. After eating some mediocre sushi purchased form here, I've decided to voice my concerns. The staff is very rude from what we saw: acting inconvenienced when the computer asked for staff help at the self checkout. We were told multiple times that we were stealing items even though we scanned everything and set it in the bag normally. Krogucci-- you reign supreme in Morgantown! If you want to be overwhelmed with foodie and gourmet choices, this is the place for you. It's not Shop -n- Save, honey, it's upscale grocery shopping. Here you will find a completely messed up parking lot (engineered by toddlers?) so proceed with caution. The huge warehouse-sized building contains a vast collection of grocery products. I mainly go to ogle the beer/wine and, of course, the cheese. The cheese selection is stunning and includes things we love such as stilton. The flower selection here is really top-notch as well. This store is so bad at sitting the most useless items in front of other items, making it difficult to shop. Anytime I have a question, it seems the only people working product are ones that don't work for the store (though they do try to help as much as they can). In my opinion Kroger is the only store in Morgantown for groceries. The positives ~ the store is well maintained and by that I mean it is clean and well organized. They do have self check outs. They offer both pick up and delivery. The negatives ~ If you are shopping on a weekend day you will find they sell out of items very quickly and it's not necessarily restocked quickly. The pharmacy is too difficult to deal with : Their lines are always long to pick up a prescription. The pharmacist is not always easily available. In order to get the best price for your Prescriptions you have to request the pharmacy employees to run the Prescription three different ways. Ie., Good RX, Visory and your insurance. The worst I have seen is when ordering a special cut of meat or seafood an employee did not wear gloves when handling the meat. The deli is difficult to communicate with and their employees are extremely slow. Maybe I should be shopping somewhere else. read more

I like that I can find what I need at the store and that it's much bigger than the other Kroger in town, but they recently rearrange things so that there's another shelf or two higher in all of the isles. I am a fairly average height, and it's really frustrating that I can't reach nearly anything anymore in this store. All I wanted this time was a single roll of paper towels and after climbing and trying to reach everything myself I just gave up. Doesn't really make sense that certain things you can't reach without help from an associate, I don't wanna have to go ask an associate to follow me around the store and reach things for me. read more

Three stars means I will be back. However when I go to this Kroger it is a matter of convince that's all. I am not a big fan of this place. It's seems to always be crowded and the selection on the inside is ok. What do you mean by ok? Well this store has a lot going on let's start with the sushi line, or the granola bar or the large deli. I feel like all this extra fluff takes away from the actual store. I had a difficult time finding some cucumbers adjust the other day. I was like really really! No cucumbers But they organic everything else and a full flower station. I know this is thought of as the best grocery store in Morgantown, but they seem to be resting on their former laurels. Every week I get some kind of rotten produce that I just don't have time to return. Every week for five weeks. Today at 8:10 AM on a Saturday none of the checkout lines were open except self check out. I don't work for Kroger's-- I'm not checking myself out with a cart full of groceries. So we ask customer service to open a lane --a woman showed up wearing a pin saying "I tolerate you". Classy. No greeting, no thank you. The bagger also said nothing Crap customer service. Don't waste your time with Kroger Clicklist at this location.... They are the absolute worst... typically they are missing at least 5-10 items... multiple times they have forgotten to put items in the car when we do have all of the order or they will cancel the pick up at the last minute. You can get your food shopping done here for sure, they have a pretty good selection of sushi, anti-pasta, fried foods and a decent bakery. This location is much better than the other Krogers, but dang the prices can be high for some common stuff. :( read more

THIS IS FOR THE FUEL STATION! I stopped to get $12 in gas at this station today. I forgot my card so I was just using cash that was in my car. Unfortunately right after I paid the system went down. It wouldn't pump my amount so I waited for it to reboot. The attendant Ethan checked with me multiple times. He apologized and offered to pay for my gas. He went above and beyond which is really hard to come by for a kid his age working a service job. I left to run an errand and when I came back it still wasn't up and running. I let Ethan pay for my gas with the hope that he would be paid back. He even offered to pay for extra gas. I didn't take him up on it but that he offered was very kind. Don't take this guy for granted you have a very competent and kind employee in Ethan. read more

I arrive to pick up my order. I get out to open my trunk and I step my brand new airwalk shoe in a jar of spaghetti that had been left on the ground! I can't get into my car with shoe covered in spaghetti sauce so I find some snow and try to wipe it off my shoe. (shoe is now ruined thats anither $55)I'm told by the worker that spaghetti had been there since the night before, so they knew it was there and didn't bother to clean it. I had to run inside to get a money order. suprise. no one at the service desk. 5 mins. I wait and several employees at the 1st register near service desk see me there but call no-one . I take my phone out and call the store and guess what? once the phone started ringing someone magically appeared. I decide that while I'm here I will see if my missing items from my pickup list are actually out of stock as they claimed because several times now my order is short due to item "out of stock" that isn't. I find 4 items they said was out of stock and I go to purchase them despite being super busy they had 2 registers open. I wait at one and when it's finally my turn to place my groceries on the belt I see that the belt has dried up spilt milk on it, a bunch of seasoning that spilled out of something all over it, it's wet from something else being spilled on it. It's disgusting and I don't want to put my food or the stuffed animal I just grabbed for my child on this nasty belt. I ask the cashier if she has some spray or something to wipe it off with so I can place my food up there because it's disgusting. She says "sure" and hands me a spray bottle for me to wipe her belt down. it took me not even 40 seconds, which makes me wonder why she hadn't done that to begin with. I totally empathize with former reviewer Dave's experience with the skunked beer. Something like that could definitely turn me off to this Kroger - but for the time being, I have to share my experience as a ballast to the current, far from indicative 1-star rating. First of all, shopping for groceries in Morgantown is not a straightforward endeavor. I've been to the Walmart, Target, Giant Eagle, and campus Kroger...and none of them compare to the quality of the produce and the extensive selection at this Kroger. In Huntington, WV - my hometown - there is one Kroger (clean, neat, Starbucks within) that the locals refer to as the "Gucci Kroger." For my money, Morgantown's Gucci Kroger is this one, in the Suncrest Town Centre. Their beer and wine selection is impressive, their selection of organic goods excellent, and the helpfulness of the staff above average. With the exception of my weekly visit to the Morgantown Farmers' Market, which I highly recommend to any and all Morgantonians, this is my one-stop shop for all things groceries. In the context of Morgantown, I suppose this is the only 5-star option. In good conscience, however, I can only give 4-stars, having been spoiled by the likes of Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. This location is open 24 hours/day, and I love visiting on a weeknight (Tuesday seems to have the best selection and the smallest crowds). read more

The store is large compared to the average grocery store. It is quite easy to get to and parking is always plentiful. I usually shop here and here are some pros and cons: Pros: 1. You hardly ever have to stand in a long line waiting to be checked out. 2. In addition to groceries they have lots of other household items like furniture and dishes. 3. The isles are nice and wide and are seldom, if ever, cluttered with in-isle displays. Cons: 1. The prices are the same as in the large cities. There is no "lower than average cost of living" WV discount. 2. After about 10 pm it is self-checkout only. All in all, I enjoy shopping here, the staff are always helpful, and there really isn't any alternative (also known as Wegmans, or Whole Foods) in the town. read more

This Kroger is very convenient for me because I live in the Cheat Lake area, but the grocery store is very disappointing overall. Pros: Their non-perishable item selection is great. They have lots of ethnic ingredients, pet supplies, etc. The deli counter carries top of the line Boar's Head, which is fantastic. Next to the deli counter, there is a "chefs" station where you can take a meal to go. Everything is made fresh daily, so that's a nice touch. Cons: Their produce is the worst in town. It is always decrepit looking and rarely fresh. The butcher case is hit or miss. I have found some decent steaks in there, but the overall quality and selection is sad for the price you pay. The meat selection in general (not in the butcher case) is hit or miss, too. Stocking seems to be an issue because they are often out of the things I want like whole chickens or pork tenderloins. The staff could be a little nicer as well. Basically, I only go to this Kroger for convenience. If i'm on the other side of town for an appointment, I will opt for Giant Eagle! read more

I'm new to town and still looking for a reliable grocery. I loved the Kroger in Athens, Ohio so I had high hopes for this one given its rather ritzy location. The store is nice inside--and spacious. Otherwise it's a pretty standard Kroger until you see the produce and meat sections, both of which were big disappointments and the reason for this negative review. The produce was picked over, expensive, and there was a very limited selection. At least two pieces of the produce I bought were "bad" when I cut into them after taking them home. I mean, really?? $1.79 for a single (non-organic) red bell pepper with a patch of mold inside? As far as the meat, there were very few organic or antibiotic/hormone free options, which is all I buy. I was pretty much limited to their Simple Truth brand, which hasn't impressed me much in the past. At the Kroger where I used to live, I had several better, cheaper options besides the Kroger line. Overall, this Kroger is in a great location, but the quality of the store isn't what I hoped for. Guess I'll be sticking with Giant Eagle. read more

Pick up service at Suncrest Krogers is terrible. The first time we went to pick up food today between 12-1pm they said "Sorry...we are running two hours behind." They could have texted us or emailed and we had driven 15 miles to get there. They told us to come back in 2 hours. When we did return it still wasn't ready. They also do not give you a receipt so you don't know if you got everything you ordered. The Sabarton Kroger pickup does give you a receipt. Over all, I don't think we will use this service anymore. Maybe we will try Giant Eagle or Aldi. read more

As far as I know there is still a pandemic going on. Why then has Kroger stopped some of their safe practices? There is no longer a separate entrance and exit. The arrows have been removed from the aisles. One day I counted 5 people not wearing masks. When I inquired at the customer service desk as to whether they still had a mask policy, the man working there was extremely rude. Just went to Kroger fuel station at Suncrest scaned members card inserted cc was getting ready to pump and it said to go see crasher. Went say him asked what up and he said we do not take Master card I would have to guess how much gas and he could charge card inside keyoutz. Told him had no clue and went back to car saw that is said you take master card went back asked him about it he just said not working with Master card and told me to leave. This is probably the best supermarket store in Morgantown: it's 24 hours (except gas), clean, and generally decent staff. It's only glaring flaw is that on any given visit, I will inevitably find prices missing or mislabeled in one to three things I might want to buy (99 percent of the time I just don't pick that up, and buy it elsewhere, like Giant Eagle; I don't want to enable that slack by carrying it to the front for a "price check"). Clearance items used to have clearance prices, but as of a couple months ago, few things seem to be priced as clearance (rarely worth visiting that section now). read more

So I got some skunky beer at this Kroger and tried to return it, but they told me that "they don't accept beer returns." Now, I've gotten a bad batch of beer 10 or so times in my life. I know what the beer I buy should taste like and sometimes it gets a lot of heat or sun and turns out tasting skunky. It happens. However, when your supermarket won't take it back when it does, that's a problem. I've returned beer to a Kroger before, but this one won't do it. I highly recommend you buy your beer elsewhere because if it turns out to be bad, you're stuck with it (or you just have to throw it away like I did). Ugh. I'm buying my beer elsewhere. read more

I was excited that this Kroger was getting a bulk item section as we don't have a whole foods or sprouts anywhere near here. The problem is this store put it in but never keep it stocked! No bags one week. No nuts another week. I always have to hunt someone down to help me when I couldn't find bags or labels. The management at this store is also bad. One of those times when I needed assistance there were 3 managers at the deli tables behind me and not a one asked if I needed help. I could definitely hear their conversation, complaining about employees or someone working with them. I really would give a higher rating if they would do their jobs. read more

This has been the worst experience in Kroger I have ever had. My coworker and I came here to buy breakfast supplies for the residents at our apartment complex we work at. When we went to the bakery to buy twenty boxes of muffins and multiple juices we asked about getting some of the assortment trays. The lady behind the counter then called a manger by the name of Michael and he came over and said that we were lucky and he was going to let it slide this time. We were trying to be nice and said we didn't mind paying for them and he replied with "well obviously this is part of our inventory, so you're lucky". Not only was this incredibly rude, but atrocious customer service. The manager at Walmart saw me buying many items at once and volunteered her trays to me for no cost and they will continue to get our service for any food needs. Michael 0/10 would not recommend. I don't understand how someone can treat people/customers that way and be a manager. But it is Kroger and he seemed like he's about 35 so I guess job performance peaking at Kroger is about right. read more
