The first time I came here the service was very slow and I recall waiting almost 30 minutes for my food. Yes, it was busy, but there's NO reason why anyone should be waiting THAT long for their order! Totally unacceptable! Being I had a birthday sandwich I needed to eat before July 4th, I came in tonight and got the Turkey Bacon Ranch and wow was it good! Also, I had it within 5 minutes! MUCH improved over my first time here. The ambiance was quiet and everyone in there was enjoying their food. The employees were having conversations about random topics in between customers. I've only been to this location a few times over the years despite living nearby and being a sandwich lover. It's probably been a year or so since I last tried, but went in today for lunch. I don't go often because it's always a crazy wait. Last time I went in for lunch about a year ago the place was pretty messy.. Trash everywhere and none of the tables were clean and I ended up waiting 20+ minutes despite there only being like 2 other customers in the store. I can't speak to the cleanliness of the store today because I didn't stay long. Again, maybe 4 other customers in the store today. First-- The sandwiches are always pretty good and since this is the closest location for many miles, I usually end up coming here. However, in the 15 years I've lived in the area, this location has been consistently slow. Even when there are few to no people in the lobby, the wait times are still very long. Ordering through the app doesn't improve things either--despite giving plenty of notice, my orders are almost always at least 10 minutes late. They also tend to prioritize carry-out orders over dine-in guests, which doesn't make for the best customer experience. I'm writing this review as my pickup order is now 7 minutes past the promised time. My favorite sub place now close to home. No longer have to drive a bit to get to one. It's tucked in the Fry's shopping center at Superstition Springs. Food did not disappoint! The customer service at this location is horrible. They never received my online order so when I arrived they hand wrote my order down. The employee told me they would make it right away. 15 mins later, after watching employees talk and mess around, I remind them about my order and they STILL hadn't started it yet. After 25 mins of waiting I finally received my order. I spoke to the manager working and she did not seem concerned about my complaints at all and just said they are doing the best they can do. She was not professional. She did not even apologize for not starting my order when they said they would. Just beware, if you are on a time crunch don't go here. Just wanted to leave a quick review, they had plenty of staff but food took forever, people all over were waiting, they were in no hurry to get orders finished. Horrible experience in this restaurant today. Our food took over 30 minutes, by the time we got our food it was cold! All employees clearly working hard, we could see orders coming out fast but only for pickup orders. It became clear online or pickup orders were a priority over customers in the restaurant. Several other in person customers were standing there as long as we were waiting for their food. The staff kept stocking the online/to go order shelf which was being emptied out almost fast they stocked it, while ignoring in person customers. Their sandwiches are WAY over priced and customer service was terrible. Food is crummy + expensive. A pastrami sandwich of mostly fat and gristle and dripping grease cost northwards of $8. Tables and chairs are all cramped together, so no one can get in or out. Worse, the lazy staff drags smelly garbage cans through the main dining area and out the front door. This particular area - the northwest quadrant of Southern and Signal Butte - has a reputation for being top-heavy with truly shitty restaurants, including Wendy's, Firehouse, Babbo's Microwave Italian, Little Caesar's and a Thai place. The only decent place here is the IHOP, if you can keep up with their prices, which go up almost daily. Never again! read more
