I normally like this chain, but tonight was maybe not their night. We showed up at 8:40 pm and when we placed our order, they said it would have to be a to go order as they were closing in 20 minutes. We figured we would have time to eat, but they took so long to make our sandwiches that we had to sit in the car and eat because they were closing in 5 minutes. I had the Italian, and it was put together so sloppy that it was really hard to eat as everything was falling out. It also had a different sweet dressing than I remembered from other visits. Awful. My brisket and chedder was not even edible.......all fat and sauces! It was very soggy with BBQ sauce all over and out ontomthe tray......soggy bread, and when i pulled it apart to look, the beef was horrible with mostly fat. Yuck! the food does not even deserve 1 star but reviews forced me. Off my list of places to grab a bite in Fairlawn. Wont be ordering ther again. read more

Went in to get a sandwich on August 29, 2024. It was about 45 minutes before they closed. There was a guy behind the counter and a young lady wiping things down inside. They both saw me and totally ignored me. I stood there for at least 6 to 8 minutes and finally walked out. They were too busy cleaning to close the place down. I wouldn't have got a sandwich in the end anyway, because he was spraying cleaning stuff all over the back counters and all the food was open and exposed to the spray. A young couple was coming in with their kids and when I walked out, I said good luck getting waited on!!! It is very sad as I love firehouse subs, but I would never go back to this one!! read more

It was a 2 at best for what you get and the price. I was very disappointed after we ordered to see a small little sign by the register that showed other toppings you can get on your sandwich... NO ONE ASKED US IF WE WANTRD ANY OF THESE WHEN WE ORDERED. Almost $30 for a medium sandwich and a large sandwich with chips and drink. Don't think we'll be back. The food is amazing, this particular store, not so much. I had a mobile order that was supposed to be ready in 30 mins. 40 mins later I'm there to pick up my order that they didn't realize was even there. It took them all of 10 mins to make, so it should have been ready. They had no pickles, and no onions or peppers for the Philly cheeses steak sandwiches. I really enjoy subs from Firehouse Subs. As a former EMT with a Maryland Firehouse, I appreciate the support their corporate headquarters gives to first responders. The quality of the food is always very good, however, I have had a couple problems with items missing when I go through the drive-through window. I also had a situation where I was being charged a different price than was posted on their outside menu (again at the drive-through). The person taking my order said there wasn't anything he could do, but a manager intervened and resolved the issue. Overall, I enjoy Firehouse Subs. read more

My daughter recently discovered she had a wheat allergy, so we searched for sub places that had gluten free bread. Even though our search indicated Firehouse had that option, we discovered they didn't. However, they did provide her "sandwich" on lettuce (I expected a wrap, she was delighted with it being salad). Everyone there was wonderfully friendly, they even fixed my sandwich (made with whole wheat rather than white) almost immediately. The BEST part for me was the size of the small sandwich. I'm in my fifties - thus, cannot each as much as I used to, and this was the perfect amount! My only negatives? The music was awful, and I wish they could have provided a knife for my daughter to help cut the sandwich meat. I had never had firehouse subs until a friend took me here last year! Now I visit multiple times a week! I go here often now as I recently discovered the Italian sub, I love how I can go through a drive thru to get a sub and they are quick! The employees are always friendly and fast! They are genuine and care about the customers experience! I filled out a survey and for my next visit I received a free medium drink! I will fill out another survey before my next visit! I love that these subs are warm and fresh and a pickle accompanies each sub on the side! Now I am in the mood for a sub... haha I swear they are truly delicious and consistent each visit! read more

I picked up one on my way home just because it was convenient and ended up going back 4 times over the next two weeks to try other options. Do not DoorDash from them. They require the driver to get your chips and drinks and although they have a sign posted, the driver never remembers and you don't get them. Has happened numerous times. They also didn't include cookies or pickles (which the driver is NOT responsible for getting), the staff is. The teenage male manager there is rude and hangs up on you when you call. He tells you to call door dash. Door dash tells you to call the store if you want your stuff. They just were not helpful or friendly and treat you like it's your fault that you didn't get items you paid for. Sad. I wanted to like this place so badly but that manager ruined it. I love firehouse subs over jimmy johns but I'm not a big fan of the parking lot layout. How you come in and you exit out a different way. There needs to be a better layout then that more detailed to your first time customers. I believe you would get more customers if it's was not for they layout. Last month was the first time I've ever had Firehouse and I was thoroughly impressed, have came here a few more times since and have not had a bad experience. The two two sides I've went inside to order and eat in, the employees felt a little awkward to talk to but overall not in a rude way or anything. Broccoli and cheese soup is pretty gross and overpriced for what you get. The Italian sub was good, nothing special about it though. Definitely not on my top three places to get a sub. The fact that the sandwiches were good and our online order was spot on, earned them stars. But when I got there 20 minutes before they closed to pick up my order, the doors were locked. They said they closed at 9p and could not add anything else to my order that the online system would not allow me to place. So my daughter did not get a sandwich causing an extra stop. Point it is, you didn't close for 20 more minutes, but yet stopped taking customers and had the place locked down. Another customer came as I was leaving, ticked over the same reason and was told the drive thru was even closed, as I saw someone pull into the drive thru. Poor service to do your customers that way! I really wanted to give this 5 stars, but 4 stars fits. Compared to other popular sub chains in the area (daves, JJs, subway), the meats here at firehouse are of a much much better quality. The choice of bread compliments it perfectly, and the veggies appeared fresh. Now to the bad, but this is strictly personal preference. The condiments I received on my sandwich were mayo, mustard, and Italian dressing. Overall it was very sweet, almost off putting. I don't think it was the ham, maybe the Italian dressing. Wasn't sure what to expect as I have never heard of Firehouse Subs. First of all, they made this giant eye sore of an old building in our town look very attractive again. Great decor throughout the building with a really cool painting on the wall. Being a new store, the people working there seemed to be having fun and enjoying themselves while making my order and accommodating my many questions I brought to them. Food was the bomb too. This was my first time here, I had heard great things so I decided to check it out. I got the large Italian as it's what I get at most sub shops. As for meats the sub has pepperoni, salami, and Virginia honey ham. I thought the addition of honey ham was a little strange but whatever. The guy taking my order was quick and precise and my huge sandwich was ready in a few minutes. When I got home and started eating the sandwich I found out there was a massive amount of ham, like 75%. There was just a thin layer of pepperoni and salami. I'm not a huge fan of ham, I'll tolerate it, but it was the only meat I tasted with its sweetness. We arrived about 15 minutes prior to closing. We walked in and asked if they were still open. We were told "no", but that we could go through the drive thru. We politely left, drove up to order, and then to the pickup window. By this time, it was 5 minutes before closing. They just put this Firehouse franchise in the building of what used to be Wendy's. Great place to grab a sub and chips. They have hot and cold subs, healthy options, soft delicious bread, and they're own signature soft drink "Cherry Lime-ade" which comes in Light and regular as well as sparkling or not. This is a franchise but of all of the things that could have replaced the Wendy's in this location, I love this option. There is absolutely no cooking going on here. They put very small amounts of meat in a steamer and slap it on a supposedly Italian roll along with cheese and/or lettuce and tomato sliced so thin it only has one side. If you want crappy food that is cheap, this is the place for you. There was so little meat on the sandwich that l cut the roll in half and put all of the ingredients on half.
