Stopping by this Hardee's is a long-standing tradition for our family on our trips to the coast. Or to Wakulla for canoeing. Or anywhere in this general direction, like Missisippi or Texas In fact, we usually time our road trips so we can have breakfast here. But we messed up last week. We got there 10 minutes too late. I was near devastated, but, trying for persepctive, took a deep breath and ordered a hamburger. Then changed to a different hamburger. Then changed my mind (again), but my mom was trying to order, waffling between several options and asking detailed questions about each choice...so I waited. Then changed it to a hot dog. And my mom then decided to change her order (again) to a hot dog, too. After reassuring us that it was fine, no not a bother, truly, it was his pleaseure, the nice young man (was his name Rusty?) ran to the back to tell the kitchen we had changed our fickle little minds (again). Then after we paid, we decided to add some cookies and a coffee. Which we were apparently supposed to help ourselves too, but we either didn't know or we forgot or something... By this time, I think the young man felt sorry for us, perhaps sensing that our mental capacity had been compromised by the paint fumes at my mom's house (she's getting it renovated). He actually BROUGHT the meal to our table, realized we never got our self-serve coffee and cookies, and kindly brought that to us as well! He asked us if we needed anything else, and then, with a small bow, left us to enjoy our hot dogs and cookies. What a sweet heart! Later, the manager stopped by to ask us how things were going. I didn't have the heart to tell them that the chilli on my dog was too salty, but it was. But once I scraped the chili off, the hot dog was just fine. I'm coming here tomorrow, too, on my way to St. George...but I am going to be sure to make it in time for breakfast.

This was a mistake. All of our food arrived cold and our order was incomplete. Our driver offered to go back at no charge and pick up the rest of our order out of the kindness of her heart. When she returned with that order that part of the order it was also incorrect. So not only was the entire order cold but it was incorrect and not all there. We live less than five minutes away, and our delivery driver was very prompt in her delivery. She was there and waiting on the food so it should have been hot. According to the app she was there for seven minutes before the food ever came out. So this time it's definitely on the Taco Bell. It appeared as though my order was made and then it waited there, probably out of heat, and then not all of the order was given to the driver. When I spoke to the manager he said it was the drivers responsibility to go through my bag and make sure that all of my items were there. Firstly the only person who should be digging through my bag is the Taco Bell workers and me when I get home. There should never be a delivery driver rummaging through my food. Hopefully the manager of the store will get it together with door Dash because I do believe this is an opportunity this small town could really use.
