Store has a sign on the door that says "Closed until we are paid." Apparently owner was late on paying employees so they all quit. Not sure if they will hire new employees or what. Bummer because my kids love this spot. read more

Inconsiderate, rude service. After receiving our order, sitting down and unpacking food, was abruptly and rudely told, You can't eat that here, we close at 9." I repacked food in bag and asked for refund. Was told "No, because food had already been prepared." Left. Was not told about this prior to ordering. I love Firehouse Subs over all because the sandwiches are always fresh and taste great! On this visit I got some great customer service. I usually do but this time was more noticeable. My wife and I always order a medium sandwich and split it. On this day the gentleman preparing the sandwich asked if we were splitting the sandwich and I told him yes. He offered to put the halves in separate boxes but I told him one box would be fine and thanks. And when we got our sandwich he even gave us an extra pickle spear. Some may not think that is a big deal but that is showing extra attention and I for one appreciate that. read more

Well 1st off, the Bread was hard, the skin of bread was very flaky. Opened sandwich and there my goodness was basically 2 slices of Meat it didn't even cover the bread, missing provolone, no dressing just Horseradish. 2nd time they made it, same story. We like Firehouse and this location is ok, dining room seems a bit messy every time we come in but food is good. We ordered 2 large sandwiches delivered through Uber Eats a month ago and it came out to be $52.00-2 sandwiches only, no drinks, no chips, no joke. Each sandwich was $25...this is absolutely insane. It was double the price than if we ate in the restaurant. This is partly Uber Eats problem due to their high fees but also Firehouse jacked up their prices by $3-4 for EACH sandwich over their normal menu price. Crazy...and I think we were crazy to pay over $50 for two sandwiches delivered...won't be that crazy again though, that's for sure. read more

After having a Firehouse Sub - I realize how sad both the Subway sandwich and Jared are. Since my first Firehouse Sub (I love the Italian - and I have them make it the "Fit and Light" way... as well as the Turkey Cranberry and the... Oh wait - everything I've had here I've loved! Clean, prompt, courteous, and fantastic flavors and textures. I love to add a little bit of the captain's sauce then have on the counter. Every time I go at lunch the place is crazy busy. We will call ahead/order online at times knowing this. We've even gone to lunch early to miss the crowds. I bet they wish they could double the dining area at lunch time! There's a reason for the foot traffic. You have to go out of your way a bit to go here. Try it. You'll like it. I dislike chains ... but this one is a keeper. read more

Unfortunately there aren't a lot of options around here for a quick bite to eat. I walked in and was immediately greeted. I ordered the steak and cheese to go and was offered a cup of water while I waited. Service is very good. The restaurant is clean and there is an abundance of sauces and beverages available. I got home and opened my sub. The bread looks (and is!) delicious. But the filling is really limited. There were several bites that were just bread, a little onion and some of the mayo I added. (It looked like the person making the sandwich barely dipped a knife in the mayo and slid one side of the knife across one side of the sub and the other side of the knife across the other side of the sub - it was barely discernible.) When I read "oversized portions," I expecting to have the filling overflowing. It tasted good; it was just super skimpy. Not what I would expect. If you don't mind the drive, Jersey Mike's is so much better. And if you like beef, get the roast beef sub (#6). They roast their own beef and it is phenomenal!!
