Smoked Turkey Breast

The salads here are really really good and enough to feed two people. Service is quick and friendly. The location is very clean and very large.

After a bad experience in Plano with Firehouse Subs, picking up an order is 99% better than delivery. I believe going in person to place/pick up an order from this chain is vastly different then delivery. Hands down! I found that they actually listen to the customer and make the sandwich my way! They didn't add anything funky except the additional meat I requested. I'd definitely go back to this location. While waiting for my sandwich, I noticed that they were generously staffed. Bit of an over kill! Just a little chaotic initially, yet they got-er done! The only thing I don't like is not being able to watch my food being prepared. I'm a visual person and watching my food be made is part of the experience. Also had I seen some of the condiments I might have added those to my sub. Always a next time right? I built my own sub and it was genuinely good! I was able to share 1/2 with the hubby. The extra meat was well worth it, as was getting it toasted. Great combination. I will return to this location for another round. 2018/02

However, the last two months have been horrible on Sundays. I stop at this location when passing through town, and the last three times there have been problems. Once, the enchiladas were crispy and burnt, then covered in queso. The other two times, our meals were incomplete. It's getting very frustrating to get home only to find out someone will not be eating! Employees, please make sure the order is complete before shoving the bag out the drive-thru window. Y'all are NOT cheap!! It's NOT Taco Bell. Every time you mess up an order, the customer has to deal with trying to get a refund or replace an entire meal. Times are hard, money is funny, and it feels like you don't even care about what you're sending out to your customers. It's getting ridiculous at this point!

A special shoutout to Amanda, our server, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, from extra BBQ sauce to additional plates! The booths are HUGE and spacious, which is perfect for families! The kids' menu has great options at reasonable prices, and meals include a drink. We visited on a Saturday evening and were seated immediately with no wait! We also participated in the Fireside event, where you receive a FREE plushie with a qualifying $25 meal purchase. We were celebrating a birthday, and the birthday guest received a FULL-SIZE dessert! Everything was delicious, the portions were generous, and we had plenty to share! They also offer weekend brunch until 2 PM on Saturdays and Sundays and a military discount, which is always a plus! Bonus= the TV dinners are $11 retro fun Great food, reasonable prices, spacious seating, and outstanding service! Thank you, Amanda, for making our family dinner so enjoyable! The menu continues to evolve, which is good. Although this last visit both my husband and I noticed the menu is becoming very similar to Cheesecake Factory. By that I mean, they are adding more pages, more loose menu pages with options and their menu items are going into realms that seem very off brand (raw ahi tuna plates, shwarma salad, bao buns, etc). Lazy Dog has always been associated with a diverse beer selection, a down home (almost) southern like food menu. A more elevated and sophisticated Cracker Barrell if you will. This detour from the 'norm' gave us both pause - could the food actually be good? While my hubby and kids stuck to their regular options (crispy deviled eggs, buffalo chicken bites, kids menu) I chose to try the Chili Crunch Ahi Tuna - sashimi grade seared rare tuna, furikake-seasoned rice, edamame, avocado, marinated cucumbers, pickled ginger, spicy garlic crunch, citrus soy dipping sauce and it was DELICIOUS!!! I enjoyed every bite of my meal and would absolutely order it again. I definitely think Lazy Dog is making a run for being competition to Cheesecake Factory when it comes to their menu. Their desserts however have a LOOOOONG way to go. The Campfire Cookies were awful!! Stale, cooked firm, every bite had so many white chips it was overwhelming, there was barely any chocolate, the drizzle soaked into the stale cookies and was tasteless. I have a hard time saying no to any cookie, but could easily say no to these every time. I will actually look forward to trying Lazy Dog again now that they have other healthier options to choose from.

The food is definitely a step above what you'll find at most popular fast-food burger chains. While Hat Creek may not be trying to compete with gourmet burger restaurants, it delivers a quality product in a casual and family-friendly environment. One of Hat Creek's biggest strengths is its outdoor play area. The restaurant clearly caters to families with young children, and the play space gives parents a chance to relax while the kids burn off some energy. It's a feature that sets Hat Creek apart from many other burger restaurants. Overall, I get the sense that management genuinely wants to provide a good customer experience. My advice would be to continue investing in employees because great team members are what ultimately create the experience customers remember. Based on our recent visits, Hat Creek is doing a lot of things right, and we'll continue to stop by when we're in the mood for a good burger and a family-friendly atmosphere.
