Meat counter

Thank you to John Z for our "adventure" today and a lovely lunch. John had read about this place in the coconut creek magazine and we were game to try it with him. It's not located in the most accessible strip center, but it's not that hard to find. We got there a bit before noon hoping to beat the lunch "rush" and although it got a bit busier later, I don't think it's really been discovered yet. You can order a sandwich or a plate or for lunch their buffet. After looking at the options, I decided on the buffet in order to try more items. Prices are quite reasonable. Drinks are additional. You pay after you eat. The side buffet had everything from hard boiled eggs to pasta. I tried some of the salad fixings, plantains, white rice, French fries, penne pasta, and black beans. I liked the plantains and the rice the best. Also by the side bar are the plates (both plastic and to go ones), silverware (metal and plastic), napkins, hot sauce, ketchup, bbq sauce, etc. You go up to the meat counter and they give you whatever types of meat you like. I tried two types of steak and two types of ribs. I didn't try their chicken or sausage. They slice the meat off of cooking skewers. You use tongs to put it on your plate. I loved their tender skirt steak and really liked their sirloin/pincanha. The sirloin was a bit rare to my taste, so they cooked it on the grill for me for a bit more time. We asked and found out that the only desert they had today (which I assume is also extra but not sure) was cheesecake. There are a few others listed on the illuminated menu This place is definitely for the meat lovers out there. And for the price, once the locals discover this place, they should do quite well. They're still relatively new and it's a no frills atmosphere. So, don't come for the ambiance, come for the steak!

Very disappointing amount of meat when we just orders for delivery. Used to order often for pickup and portion is normally double of what was received today.

Very good ambience. Ricardo was very good at answering the phone and giving us details and making our reservation. Very polite! Our waitress Raiane, was super attentive and was very nice with a smile served us very well. And when I mentioned the sushi was with the shell she right away made another one without question even though I was not expecting it. The music is also very good! Natasha is the singer of the night and her vocals are amazing! Want to know when country music is playing because I'll definitely be back. Their food is perfect! Like I mentioned, the sushi is on sweet side. I ordered Dragon roll and we came on BOGO night, they brought both Toklas at once which I didn't expect but it was double the pleasure, I'm a foodie so it was very good. But be ware if your in to Japanese style sushi, it will not be the same! It's a culture good made Brazilian style. So unless you had sushi in Brazil do not complain! No rice vinegar on their rice based on my taste buds, and lots of mayo on everything. Marinated in mayo the salmon. I really like it because I lived in Brazil for a year and know what to expect, but if you are looking for Japanese style, order something else. I came for Brazilian sushi, my husband ordered the picanha and mandioca on Chapa, which came sizzling hot, and tasted amazing with onions grilled on top! Omg delish!!! we also got a beer bucket, and listened to great music. They dimmed the lights making the ambience very lounge style at 10:30 pm which was a BONUS because we wanted a date night but our son was with us, and we got both! Over all this will be our place from now on. I just need to find out when they will play sertanejo, as the waitress said they don't have a specific night for it. Can't wait to be back! PS BOGO is only for sushi menu.

I took a few minutes looking at the cookies displayed on the counter, then opted for an Ave Maria. It was mixed with white chocolate chips and guava chunks, topped with bits of Maria cookies, and drizzled with guava and cream cheese frosting. I received my cookie in no time. I know I said it was for a late night snack, but I couldn't help but sneak a taste...give me a moment as I'm savoring this. The cookie was soft and chewy with pieces of guava chunks, Maria cookies, and white chocolate chips throughout. Followed by the sweet flavors of the guava and cream cheese frosting. I appreciate the friendly service and I look forward to my next visit.

I was a little confused, because I thought the whole point of the Labubu cookies, based on the advertising, was that they were individually boxed, similar to a blind box, so that you didn't know what Labubu sticker you would get. But all four of my cookies came in the same box. Regardless, the cookies were really good. However, they were pretty bland looking. The stickers themselves were cute, but the cookies were really sloppily and poorly decorated as you can see in the picture. The chocolate chip was phenomenal, loaded with chocolate chips and I can see how it would be even better after a couple seconds heated up. The Fruity Pebble cookie would have been better had the Fruity Pebbles not been super super stale. I think $5 per cookie is reasonably priced compared to competitors. I don't know if I would necessarily be back, but it was good for what it was worth.

They specialize in Greek frozen yogurt, and you can really taste the difference. The yogurt itself is incredibly creamy, smooth, and has that perfect tangy flavor. What I loved most is that it felt light and refreshing, not overly heavy or sugary, so you can enjoy it without that usual sugar crash afterward. I love how it also contains health benefits such as protein and probiotics, and is low in sugar and fat. The topping bar was another standout. Everything was beautifully displayed in rustic wooden bowls, and the toppings felt noticeably high quality, from fresh fruit and crunchy crumbles to premium nut butters and even the popular Dubai chocolate bar pistachio cream filling. The space itself is beautiful too. It has a clean, upscale tropical vibe with woven light fixtures, draped ceilings, and really inviting decor, definitely the kind of place you want to sit and enjoy your dessert. The only complaint I have is the location is quite small and can feel a bit claustrophobic. Also the seating is pretty limited and many customers were needing to sit outside at the Starbucks next door. Overall, I thought it was completely worth it, great atmosphere, friendly service, and a dessert that feels indulgent without being too much. I'll definitely be back.

I'm sure that location is still great but I was able to live without having to buy donuts for some years. Then came an impromptu trip to Margate since we saw there is a Dandee Donut Factory there. And Costco. Because why not. The time to eat donuts is now. We only bought donuts to go so I can't speak to the dine-in experience or food. The diner counter and tables looked fun to sit at. Their breakfast sandwiches sound amazing and I drooled a little accidentally looking at their diner menu. Did they always make bagels? I'm not that much of a Dandee connoisseur but I feel inspired to go back and try the bagels and their food food. The counter wasn't very busy when we walked in, thanks to two staff workers who were taking orders. Imagine my delight when we asked for a half dozen donuts and the gentleman staffer said we can choose 7. I will now miscount dozens from now on. I asked for the sour cream donuts because the shelf for them was empty (gasp) and he reassured me that they have more in the back to refill. We asked what the crunch part of the blueberry crunch donut was and he said the blueberries themselves have been prepared to be crunchy. We got 2 of those and they were the best bites in the whole box. The donuts were chock full of flavor of the blueberries and the crunch from them was the unexpected texture you want in a donut to cut through the dense dough. No wonder these donuts are one of their best selling ones. We got an apple fritter because it was massive, like a bear claw ate a stack of biscuits. The cinnamon and apple tastes were present but the dough was a little empty to me, so it left a lot of oil taste. Like it reminded you that all these buggers have been deep fried when you don't want to be reminded. The chocolate, double chocolate and cookies and cream donuts all used the same chocolate donut base which was a little dry to me but had nice cocoa flavor. It's strange but I ended up preferring some frosting to the chocolate donuts to have some moisture to the bite. With carb loading season coming up, I'll plan for another excursion to Margate to get a half dozen box of sour cream and blueberry crunch donuts! I mayyyy share.

The pastries and desserts are beautifully made (many created by the owner herself), and everything tastes just as amazing as it looks. My personal favorite was the lemon-shaped pastry -- it looked so incredibly realistic, almost too pretty to eat, and it was absolutely delicious. "Oh my god- they have the fruit that's going viral on TikTok. We have to try it!" I'm not one to say no to a 15 year old for anything that's going viral on TikTok so stepped inside this adorable cafe and placed an order for the viral mango. I almost passed out when they rang me up for $18 for a tiny dessert, but I guess it is famous. They put it on a plate at the register and when I reached for it said "oh we'll bring it to you." Perhaps the handing of the pastry is part of the $18 fee. We found a table and 30 seconds later the infamous mango appeared in front of us. It took us about 3 minutes to eat and it was tasty- a hard shell, mango inside and maybe some custard. We both decided it was very good, but not $18 good. I"m glad we tried it, but I probably wouldn't get the viral fruit again for the price alone. However, I did find this cafe to be adorable and would stop back in here the next time I'm in Atlantic Avenue for other treats. Hopefully the non viral pastries aren't priced quite as high.

Pure sugar chaos, childhood nostalgia, and theatrical madness in Coral Springs…read more Walking into Cherry Smash feels like you accidentally stepped into the opening scene of Willy Wonka, right before someone starts singing and a child learns a moral lesson. This place is a local legend, and for good reason. Cherry Smash isn't trying to be sleek, minimalist, or Instagram-neutral. It's loud, colorful, joyful, and slightly unhinged--in the way candy shops should be. You half expect Charlie Bucket to walk in clutching a chocolate bar and a dream. Let's be honest about the ice cream: It's above average. Solid. Creamy. Well executed. No complaints. But that's not why people line up. You come here for the atmosphere. Walls stacked with candy. Colors everywhere. The kind of visual overload that makes adults nostalgic and kids vibrate at unsafe frequencies. And when Halloween hits? Forget it. Cherry Smash decorates like they take October personally. Seasonal commitment at Broadway-production levels. The candy selection is elite--classic, modern, obscure, and delightfully questionable. Yes, they have bubble gum cigarettes, which feel like a time capsule from an era when adults shrugged and said, "Eh, they'll be fine." It's kitschy, it's ridiculous, and it absolutely belongs here. Seating is limited, but honestly? That's part of the charm. This isn't a linger-for-hours café. It's a pop-in, light-up-your-inner-child, grab-something-sweet-and-go experience. The kind of place where standing is acceptable because you're too busy smiling anyway. Cherry Smash isn't just an ice cream shop--it's a mood, a memory, and a permission slip to enjoy something unapologetically fun in a world that desperately needs more of that.

Staff seemed like they were there just for their paychecks, and not really caring for the customer service or offering their opinion or recommendations, the night we visited there was a good amount of patrons. There's seating off the right side of the shop and a few towards the back. They have a very wide selection of ice cream flavors. I settled for a dulce deleche, and it was just ok.
