The firefighters were out washing their fire truck, and I couldn't help but to ride up and introduce myself. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming. In addition, I was quickly given permission to peruse the grounds and to take as many pictures as possible. The buildings and surrounding landscape are meticulously maintained, and there are several informative plaques providing the history behind the station. If you're ever in the area, don't hesitate to check out our wonderful station and fire fighters. They would appreciate the visit.

First, it was so easy to find. The landscaping is maintained, the building had a modern finish and the staff was super helpful. Then it's very spacious and cool inside. I went to the wrong building to pay my ticket. So, an employee told me specifically, where I needed to go. So helpful! Next, I walked into the other building and I was greeted with a warm friendly smile. She put her mask on before she came to the window. So polite. Also, there's was no wait. I went at 4:45ish and I was in and out. The clerk explained all my options regarding my citation. Finally, my citation was taken care and I enjoyed my experience here. Who wouldn't want a city hall that's well taken care of, from the inside out, and has great employees.

I have fond memories of attending summer classes at TCC-Northeast campus and relaxing/studying at roots coffee house. Other places I would recommend checking out in the NRH area are Cristina's fine Mexican restauraunt, camp fire grill and kitchen, kindred coffee, painted tree marketplace and c r gold and silver for all your precious metals needs. Month long wasp infestation inside of my apartment that property management refused to fix. Reached…read moreout to the city, thinking surely I could receive some support there. Was I ever wrong... Gary Taylor arrived with a very welcoming Glock lanyard and pin, then spent less than 5 minutes "inspecting" my unit before coming inside and telling us how he's known my property manager for years, and that he didn't see enough proof of an infestation. He then told me that "sometimes it's easier to replace the squeaky wheel than repair it", so to be careful who I continue complaining to. What a slimy thing to say as a city inspector, this guy is just hanging on for retirement and gave off every vibe imaginable that he's taking bribes and talking to property management off the record. He followed up by telling me that this is just Mother Nature at work, and to allow my property manager to continue treating it - if they were treating it, I would've never had to reach out to Gary Taylor in the first place. Later on, I was able to have an actual exterminator conduct an inspection and they cited quite the opposite of what Mr. Gary Taylor claimed... how he still has a job is beyond me, I would assume there's probably some shady tie to ex-Mayor Trevino that's allowed him to maintain his employment.

This white bus with its brightly colored sign was full of books and had plush modern sitting areas. A boy was making his way through the shelves of books in search of a good read while his adorable puppy greeted curious people passing by. When I first spotted it I wasn't sure what it was but instantly knew it was special. The WOW (Words On Wheels) bus is a converted school bus providing free books to the Fort Worth community. The mastermind behind the WOW bus wanted to make books accessible and provide a comfortable place to read. Visitors can take a book with them or are free to read on the bus. Books shelves are playfully labeled by Scrabble tiles. There is no need to return books and they take book donations. They post their open hours on Magnolia Avenue on their Facebook page and they occasionally post the titles of their new additions on the shelves. It is not everyday you unexpectedly come across something so inspiring. The fact someone would selflessly provide something so cool and beneficial to their community is moving.

After numerous requests that he contact us before showing up, he continues to show up unannounced and begin getting to work before even verifying if now is a good time or if you'd even like to work with him. And then hands you a bill! His aggressive temperament leaves a lot to be desired. We're thrilled to have found someone else who will work with us, make appointments, and keep us up to code without subjecting us to rude behavior. Cheaper cost cannot make up for everything!
