I did get tickets for the speeding, but was warned for my registration sticker being out and for not wearing my seatbelt. Very different than years past with Blue Mound cops. They are now professional acting and looking. They use to be rude and condescending and just straight assholes. Must have been a leadership change. Whatever it is, it's working. I was impressed.

I called for assistance for a neighbor who was…read moreharassing me for 6hrs while I worked in my garage. 2 cops arrived. 1 talked to me for 15 seconds then they proceeded to talk to the other party for about 15 20 mins. Then walked over to my house and threatened me with arrest for calling the cops on him. I was told to shut up repeatedly while I was trying to explain the situation. I did nothing but was simply outside working when he came out and called me racial names for 6hrs. I am a retired Army sgt and I have never been treated with such disrespect. I have filed a formal complaint and will keep doing so until something is done about these 2 officers. So do not call them. They will not help you. Your better off handling it yourself.

I believe that the officers lack of proper training shows on the street in the way this police department is handling itself and the citizens in its care. My experience is that they don't really care and want to do just what they have to do and want take the extra step to do what they actually Need to go or should do. My beloved dad, may the memories of him be for always a blessing, used to say that 'the fish doesn't stink from the tail, but from the head.' Maybe if the citizens here need some better police force, they should demand it. In the meantime, 3 start at best.
