The story was clean with an inspirational cultural references to Texas Baseball. I presented his small book and ask the library to include it in their children's section. The head librarian, Curren McLane, rejected the book solely on the basis of not being written by a local meaning Azle resident. She did not cite a reason published in Azle Memorial Library policies. I believe under the circumstances, Ms. McLane should remove all books from the children's sections that are not written by Azle residents and rewrite the libraries's policies to exclude all authors that are not Azle residents from having books in the children's section.
