We love Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting! My husband and I have been using Fire Hydrant for dog walking and pet sitting for a little over a year now. We have two medium sized dogs that we rescued from South Korea. As a result of their previous lives and travel history, our dogs are pretty reserved, anxious, and not particularly sociable to other dogs or people. It takes them a while to warm up and this requires a great deal of patience and effort. On top of that, they have separation anxiety from one another. We knew there would be times that we were out of town and needed help outside of our family, so we started dog walking with Fire Hydrant to get the girls accustomed to the walkers. Prior to our walks, Fire Hydrant was great with the initial interview asking where everything was, how the process usually works, any allergies, etc. The first few walks I chose to walk with Denice to share some quirks and share any additional info that might be helpful. This was probably over excessive on my part but Denice was so kind and reassured me they'd be in good hands. In the past year, we've been able to work with Denice, Taylor, Stefy, Annika, Deanne, and Amy and our girls have become used to and love all of them. I no longer worry when we're traveling or stepping away for an evening and can enjoy my time fully knowing that my dogs and home are well taken care of by the Fire Hydrant team. They share the exact route they go on and plenty of photos during their visits. Any pro tips I can give to other fur parents who may have anxious pets would include: - Provide high-value treats the team can use with every walk in case of an emergency or as needed - Share any quirks or anxieties your pet(s) may have with the team. This helps and all the FH team members have been so thoughtful to remember my many pages of notes - If your pets take a while to warm up to new people, start ahead of time and continue to slowly introduce them bit by bit. This will help! read more

I'm not sure how others were even able to get a hold of anyone from this company. I called a couple of times and left messages and also made an appointment on their website for a 15min complimentary consult. No one ever called me back. Are they even still in business? read more

I honestly cannot say enough amazing things about this group. I found this company more than 3 years ago when we needed someone to care for our cat while our entire family went on a vacation. I had never hired someone to come in and care for my cat before while we were away so I was a very apprehensive about everything. However, Kylie was amazing, professional, and took such excellent care of Loki while we were away. From the moment I met with her for the consult she was so kind and put me at ease. While we were away she was amazing and it really gave us piece of mind that our family member was taken care of. I had previously tried the pet walking apps out there and found inconsistent results, plus it was difficult to get the same person all the time. The whole experience just really did not leave me confident in hiring someone to walk my dog. But When I started using Fire Hydrant pet sitting , that all changed. Since I had such a great experience with this company when they watched Loki, I began using them to walk my dog Obi and have been using them regularly since. Kylie's team can handle big strong dogs without a problem and are great at reinforcing the proper obedience techniques that we have tried to teach our dog to have. Kylie and her team are amazing and go above and beyond. You can tell that they are true animal lovers and enjoy what they do. They come and walk Obi 4 times a week (even during the pandemic). This has been a game changer for our big dog that needs lots of exercise. I love that he gets to participate in pack walks sometimes, and Obi loves his time with his doggy friends. I will never use anyone else again, and tell everyone I know about this wonderful company. Kylie and her team are hands down the best. If you are not sure, give them a try and you will not be disappointed. It can be hard to trust someone with your fur babies, but don't worry, they have you covered. read more

The manager Kylie and Sitter Stefy are very kind and professional. They came to my house to check environment, ask questions and recorded every detail before I sign contract. During vacation, Stefy reported to me by text every day, she even took several good pictures of my shy cats. They even will take your mail, watering your garden, taking your trash can in/out if you need. And they have well established customer portal you can contact them or pay easily. Following is my final thank you message I sent to Stefy "Hi, Stefy, I am so surprised to see so many beautiful pictures of my cats. Even I rarely get so good pictures of them. That's the proof of they trusting you. And you really did a excellent job of taking care of them and keeping the environment clean. you and your company gave me a peace of mind throughout my vacation, I can't thank you guys enough. I won't think twice to leave them to you next time I need a cat sitter. Please tell me where to leave a good review, I will recommend you and your company to anyone I know who needs a pet sitter. I've had a great experience using Fire Hydrant for dog walking. Denice and Annika stopped by a few days before the scheduled walk to meet Whiskey and to get familiar with our routine. They were both fantastic- very professional and kind! Annika has walked Whiskey a couple of times. Scheduling and communicating is so easy through the app. I love looking at the pics and report they send after the walk. I know he's in great hands! Definitely recommend! read more

A couple years ago I came across Kylie and another FH team member on the Claremont loop-the multiple dogs they had with them seemed so happy I snapped a pic Kylie's tshirt and tucked the meeting in the back of my head for a later date since, at that time, we were petless. Fast forward.... In June we moved in to a new house and our "twins" were transitioning from being outside kitties to inside kitties. I hated leaving them so soon after moving but, Stefy and Denice assured me that they would be in good hands; and boy were they!! We were gone for 10 days and received photos and updates every day. Having moved in just a couple weeks before leaving for our trip, the house was in chaos but, Stefy and Denice (aka the cat whisperers) took great care of the kitties and our potted plants, mail etc. We will be using them again in December--THANKS GIRLS!! I also like the option of them keeping a key to the house for last minute visits. I'll definitely be using them whenever we go out of town! read more

Hello Fellow Yelpers! I would like to share my experience with Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting. Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting was referred to us by another petting sitting company. I reached out to them and Kylie immediately responded to my request/inquiry. Kylie helped to schedule a consultant to meet our dog and to go through his routine while we were on vacation. Kylie and Steph came to the consultation and they took thorough notes along with playing with our dog and making him comfortable with him. While we were on vacation, Kylie sent me the cutest and the best photos of our dog. The photos made us miss him even more than we already did. On top of the photos Kylie sent us a recap of the day with our dog. It was so thorough and detailed about the day. Moreover, Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting uses a user-friendly platform to communicate with their staff, schedule pet sitting, dog walks, and more, and payments. It's a one stop shop. Anyone looking for a pet sitting place I would highly recommend Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting. They get 5 stars from us and we can't wait to book our next visit with them. read more

Kylie and Denise are MAGNIFICENT pet sitters. Fire Hydrant is a truly-professional and compassionate operation. Their meet 'n' greet is exhaustive leaving them prepared for every situation and quickly become in tune with your animals. Unlike some pet sitters, they come for the fully-agreed-upon time in order to give the much-needed socialization and play your pets need. They made sure both our cats had all the scratches, rubs, hugs, brushes, water, food, treats, litterboxes, playtime, and more! They send a preponderance of daily pictures showing your happy pets getting attention along with a cute "report card" and debrief of each visit. You can travel with peace of mind that true animal-lovers are caring for your furry family members. Their prices are a hot bargain for the quality of care your pets will receive. Tip them well because they deserve it. Fire Hydrant will be my exclusive pet sitters as long as I live here. What else can I say? read more

I have been using this company for almost 2 years for my 2 doggies! They absolutely love Kylie and her team of walkers. Whether it be me needing them walked during the day, some pet sitting or some doggy interaction, this team is ready to go! I am an anxious dog mom and worry about my pups but they do a great job of updating me on the walk and I know they are safe with this company! read more

I was lucky enough to find Kylie during a time where I was traveling a lot for work. It was before she launched this superbly branded business, but quality is quality. She always went above and beyond to make sure my Gent was taken care of. She sent me enough pictures to make sure my mind was put at ease. Ive booked dozens of sitters due to the demands of my job, and nobody ever came close to her dedication and professionalism. I live in another state now, but still miss her every time I need help with my dog. Lots of pictures, he was always super happy and worn out after his times with her. Great, all around. read more

My American Bully is my baby, and finding the right services for him where I feel he is cared for, safe, and where communication is provided has not been that easy. So grateful for finding Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting. From the evaluation process to the report cards with photos and details on how the walks are progressing- I am incredibly impressed. Even with working from home, I want to keep my little guy exercised, socialized, and learning new skills- and I can't always do that with back to back meetings. I know we will continue to grow with their team and can't thank them enough for loving my little guy. read more

Kylie and Sueling are amazing. I had just started a new job when my bulldog needed emergency surgery. When I brought Pearl home after surgery, I was worried because I had no vacation time accrued at my new job. Sueling to the rescue - she cared for Pearl all week and sent me frequent updates. Sueling's wonderful care helped Pearl make a complete and rapid recovery, and put my mind at ease knowing my baby was getting the best care! read more

Absolutely love Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting! I love that they have a meet and greet before your scheduled walk/visit allowing you to meet with the person handling your pet. They are so thorough at getting details regarding your pets routine and you can really tell how much these people love what they do! I love checking their Instagram for an inside look at who they're currently walking. It's so hard finding people you can trust with your animals and I'm so happy that search is finally over. Highly recommend! read more

If I could give 10 + stars I would! A shout out to Kylie and her team Stefy D and Denice. These ladies are awesome. It was such a big comfort to know my fur babies were taken care of when we went on vacation. I received a daily x2 report and pictures of my cats. Boy they where so spoiled. I come home and get "oh it's just you" treatmentnot only did they take care of my cats, the sand box was cleaned floor swept, eating area cleaned and food dishes cleaned/fresh water x 2,mail brought/packages! We've been using Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting to walk our 3 year old Belgian Malinois for the past few months, and I have nothing but good things to say! They asked a lot of good questions during the initial consultation, and won her over to the point that she was wanting to walk off with them! The email we get after the walk communicating how it went is always a pleasure to read, and the included photos are a bright spot in the middle of my work day. It's like she's getting a walk and a photo shoot! I really appreciate how they look after her. On a particularly hot day, Hailley managed to get Rose into her car to go to the park so that they could walk on the cool grass. read more

This company does terrific work at a reasonable price. We could not be happier. Kylie took care of our pets over the holidays, and went above and beyond to make sure our pets were cared for. Communication was great through their portal app, I got a report and PICTURES each time she visited. She took the dogs for a walk each visit. Highly Recommend. read more

The owner is unfriendly and unprofessional; I had an unpleasant experience with her over a concern about lack of communication and she was very quick to dismiss me. There are several other walkers in the area whom I have experience with that are much more receptive to questions/concerns and are much friendlier. read more

Amazing company!! They truly love all the animals they take care of. We have been using fire hydrant for 3 years and have never had a problem. Kylie is attentive, quick responsive, and eager to satisfy all clients, in any way she can. We use both dog walks and cat sitting as a service in their company. Thank you Kylie and all of the staff for everything you do! read more

The care they provided for our fur baby was amazing! They took pictures during each visit and gave us the report as promised. They gave him treats we approved, helped pick up the poo in the yard, so many great things they helped with. We could tell he was well taken care of with the Fire Hydrant team in our absence. We also noticed he got so much better at walking out with the time he spent with them. He used to tug me a bit prior to the visits with the Fire Hydrant team, but when I took him on walks after it was a game changer. He'd walk calmly at my side. Definitely recommend them. Pets get to stay home instead of a strange place and you get to enjoy your vacation or whatever with a peace of mind. We're probably going to continue using their walking service weekly just to keep up that relationship. Thanks for everything Fire Hydrant team! read more

Kylie and her pet sitters at Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting are top notch!! I own my own pet care company and it is rare that I find someone I trust to refer my beloved clients to. Well Kylie, and Fire Hydrant, is one of the very few companies that really does it all well! They are reliable, trustworthy, good with pets, good with people, and booking is convenient. They are the whole package. I'd give more than 5 stars but they won't let me. :) read more

I can't say enough positive words about Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting! This review is a bit overdue but truly they have earned my business for the future. I had knee surgery and wasn't sure when I would be able to adequately walk my 2 new fur babies. Denice took great care and although they don't typically like others to walk them after a day they were quite comfortable with her, my one Westie was always happy to see her. I had to keep adding days since my recovery wasn't as quick as I had hoped but each time they were able to accommodate me. After the first meet and greet; they scoped out the neighborhood for best paths and gave great daily updates. Thanks Denise; Stephanie and Kaylie! read more

We recently started using this drop-in pet service when we're away traveling. While we were away for a night, our senior dog passed away peaceful in her sleep. Kylie went well above and beyond to take care of our family. Kylie feels like she is already a part of our family. We're so grateful for this compassionate, loving, responsible fur-baby care taker, and overall amazing human being. Our senior dog had a very sensitive personality and had bad separation anxiety. She loved Kylie and showed very little anxiety with her. I also had anxiety being away from my fur-babies but each visit update (with photos!) gave me much comfort. We're grateful our senior dog received much love before she passed away. Our other pup enjoyed playtime, walks, lots of cuddles, and the most loving support. We're so thankful to have found this company and will continue to trust them with our fur-babies. read more

My dogs have been cared for by Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting for about 8 months. My dogs love their dogwalker! I have 2 medium-sized dogs, and they are 12 and 15. Their walker is careful to let them rest when they want to rest and make sure they have fresh water and get their treat when they come home. Kylie uses an app that lets us know when their walk is starting and where they walked. There is also a report on if they pooped or peed. (A friend said, "I wish there was an app like that for preschool!") There are pictures everyday of the dogs on their adventures, and I save some of them with screenshots. read more

We have been using Fire Hydrant for the past several years and are always telling our friends how much we love them! They often help care for our cat and dog when away for vacation or just out for the day. We have complete peace of mind knowing they are in good hands. They are excellent at following any instructions you may have and clean up any messes your pet may have made. They let you know when they have arrived and when they have finished, as well as send you an update with pictures of your pets once completed. We love the updates! Knowing that they were cared for is very reassuring. Unlike the neighbor or friend you may have asked to drop some food in the bowl in a two minute visit, they go above and beyond because they truly care about your pets like they were their own. Not to mention they are very respectful of your home. We will continue to refer them to everyone for any of your pet sitting needs! read more

Kylie took amazing care of my cat. She not only fed him, but spent time with him, brushed him, and gave him the attention that he loves. I have been a client of Fire Hydrant since the company started. Kylie was my dog's sitter even before she started the company. My dog Rsin loves Kylie , and all of the other sitters that have walked her. I can't recommend Fire Hydrant more highly. read more

I can't say enough about Kylie. She has been taking care of us for a couple of years now. My cats love her. One is very shy, and doesn't come close to anyone, but he lets Kylie pet him.
