Fire & Food must be fairly new to the area, as I can't find any information online for the restaurant. It's located in a tiny strip of 3 restaurants, near Medusa's Greek Taverna on the corner of Kent St and Market St. The food court like strip has a really nice open air atmosphere, that is also covered for less than ideal weather conditions as well.
F & F has options like chicken sandwiches and wraps, burgers, and rotisserie style chicken. I wish I had paid better attention to the menu, as I didn't know there wasn't any information available online. They also have several sides like chips, rice, veggies, and I think salad. You can turn any sandwich into a combo that includes a beverage and a side for $6 extra. Most of the sandwiches were around $10ish. I chose a chicken schnitzel wrap, that was about $9. Had a large piece of breaded chicken, lots of lettuce and tomato, and your choice of about 8 sauces for the sandwich. I went with the peri peri mayo, which I thought was a good choice. Flavorful, but not spicy. I added a can of soda and a huge side of fries to make it a combo. The fries were more than enough to share with my guy, who ordered from the place next door.
It was super quick to order, and the cashier and counter guys were super friendly! I think I waited about 1 minute, if that, from the time I paid to the time my food was ready. It also came ready to takeaway, even though I was eating there. Perhaps you can specify, because I think I saw someone else eating a burger and chips on a plate.
For the price, the location, and the quantity of food, I would definitely go back. read more
