The delivery was on time, actually early so that was good. My problem began when they started to leave my house and hadn't made any preparations to take my old mattress with them. I had even tipped them $20 and all I had them do was bring the new one up my stairs and inside, I was going to take it to my room and set it up myself. So I asked them about taking my mattress and they told me they quit doing that after Covoid. When I ordered from J.C. Penny I saw reviews from others who had their old mattress taken away and it was included as an option though they did say there might be a small fee. I wasn't given that option. I even spoke with the owner of the delivery company on the phone but to no avail. If they changed policy it should have been posted online or mentioned in the phone call when they called to set the date and time for the delivery. Also, I looked at 5 or 6 places before I bought my mattress and all of them included taking away your old mattress. It was a factor in deciding to purchase from J.C. Penny. When you spend almost $900 on a mattress you expect customer service. Instead my wife and I had to literally drag and pull my old king size mattress down my interior stairs to the garage which resulted in a sprain to my right wrist, and not to mention not knowing what to do with the old mattress now. I am going to contact J.C. Penny concerning this matter and let them know how their customers are being treated. My wife and I both have disabilities which limit our range of motion and we really struggled and we were really counting on them removing the old mattress. I am also a veteran but I didn't tell him that because I thought they should do the right thing because it's the right thing, no matter who it is. read more
