This has been so easy. We moved from WA to MO with no problems at all. We were looking for a…read morecompany that didn't require us to do the driving and not insanely expensive. Plus we had heard horror stories about companies holding your stuff for ransom basically unless you paid an additional amount then quoted. We didn't have to worry about that here. We had a trailer delivery and purchased the room inside that we would need to move a 3 bedroom home. We loaded it over 3 days, drove 4 days to our new state and called for the trailer to be delivered. We got 3 days to unpack which was great as we didn't have to rush to unpack in a day. Called them to pick it up and it was all done. I can't say enough good things about our experience. Call them if you are moving, trust me you won't regret it.

I used U-PACK For the first time this past month. (MARCH 2021, in SW Missouri) Previously, I had…read morealways hired a moving company with their own trucks to load, drive and unload my household belongings. Making the reservation was easy and I was happy with the experience at that point. (at the time of booking) The container was delivered to my driveway as scheduled. All drivers were efficient and friendly. The problem was (not discovered until later) that the container they left for had numerous holes. My move was happening during spring time, which meant quite a lot of rain. Because of the rain, 4 straight days non-stop, I actually did not pre-load anything into the container. On the day of my scheduled move-out, the loading crew opened the container & saw standing water in one corner of it (!!!) This was a huge concern - if I had loaded any of my belongings onto the truck myself they would have been ruined. Or, if it had not rained & we did not know the truck was leaking, then it would've been driven to its next destination where U-Pack was going to hold it/store it for me for approximately 9 days. (until I closed on the next house in a different city) Again, if that had happened, all of my belongings inside would have been destroyed from the rain water leaking into the container. So, I had to release the moving crew I hired - they could not do the work I had hired them to do - yet I still had to pay them for their time. Then I had to reschedule, once I knew when a new container could be delivered by U-PACK, replacing the leaky trailer they had initially given me. I called U-Pack to explain the situation. The person I spoke with was not very helpful and quite rude. I was seeking a quick solution, as I needed to be out by a certain date & a certain time for the new owners who had bought my house. ABF replaced the trailer with a brand new one. However, they could not deliver it in time for me to capitalize on the moving crew being there to help load the truck, as originally scheduled. So, it was sitting in my driveway another 2 days. It was Wednesday, when the loading crew returned to load the trailer. (they were n/a Tuesday; nor any other moving companies I called - of course not, on such short notice!). Delayed from Monday to Wednesday, I had no choice but to contact my realtor to request the new owners push back the closing date & time on the sale of my home & delay their move-in, as well. Luckily, they were very understanding and cooperative. I will be reluctant to use this type of moving service in the future. I understand that things happen sometimes. However this was within their control, from two aspects: 1) do not deliver a trailer or container to somebody that is faulty - in this case leaky and full of holes; and 2) when I called their customer service number to explain what had happened, I did not receive any empathy for the situation - - instead I received very poor customer service and the person was very rude. In fact, he even told me there was nothing he could do; that the most he could do is what I had done at that point, which was call the local provider and get them to replace the truck as quickly as possible. He was very unwilling to even attempt to help me. I was quite shocked by this. Not just from a company perspective in terms of providing a service to their customers, but from one human to another - feeling empathy for what that person is dealing with and having a much better attitude toward that person, given their predicament. None of that was conveyed, zero. In fact, he was so rude, that I'm not quite sure why he would ever have a customer service job in the first place. He seems very incapable of performing a job for which the primary focus is to SERVE THE CUSTOMER (customer service). Another thing he told me: that if I had called them a couple day prior (re leaky trailer/container), they could have resolved it in advance of my original pick up date. Well ... I did not KNOW it was leaking. It rained 4 straight days after it was dropped in my driveway, so I was not spending time outside nor looking inside the truck. Suffice it to say, I was paying them $1,000 for their service and trusted them to deliver properly. Why would I even think "Oh, maybe the container leaks? I better check that." They provide a service I was paying them for. Bottom line. To infer this was my fault - wow. The concept that U-Pack bases their service on is great. That is what drew me to this as an option in the first place for my move/relocation. The one thing that deters me, now, from using this service again or even recommending it to anybody, is the very terrible customer service experience I had during a situation that was extremely unfortunate. It caused me great difficulty and additional stress during my move.

After he looked at what i had to move he gave me a rough estimate. He then told me they charge $100.00 to book the time & day to start the moving process. I then gave the $100.00 deposit in cash. I then asked him for a receipt & he said it would be on the invoice he will send me by email. I said ok & left it at that. He sent me a invoice for the amount that was discussed but there was no information at all showing the $100.00 deposit anywhere on the invoice. I never hear back by him or anyone from Done Right movers. Ive tried calling numerous times & no call back. Tried to text him & no call back. I also emailed a message nothing. At this point i feel by the looks of this that he stole a $100.00 cash i gave to him. As of this day ive received nothing back from him regarding the $100.00 Hes been deceitful & has not even tried to return my deposit or any call back whatsoever & feel that i was talking to a fraud. And he was representing his company. Dont do business with Travis @ Done Right Moving Co. Unless youmake sure what he tells you is proven he stands by his word s9mething he has not proven to myself in this situation

I last heard from a company representative, Mary Schrader, Claims Adjuster, last month when I inquired last about when I would be compensated for my losses. She told me she couldn't do anything until she received notice that my bill had been paid in full. I paid $2,000 at the time of delivery and another $237.41 because the charges were more than the estimate. Mary wrote to me, in an email dated, Aug. 20, "Until I hear from accounting that the invoice is paid in full I cannot proceed with the claim." That balance pf $237.41 was due by Aug. 9 and I sent it in on time to the Springfield office, so what's the delay? They haven't even bothered to send me a receipt! Fry-Wagner wants to be paid promptly, even with inferior service, but can't seem to hold up their end of the bargain. There is no excuse for this much damage and this long of a delay in sending someone out to repair or replace my furniture. Meanwhile my books sit in boxes because I can't use my bookcase with a hole in it. But the company is "diligently" working on my claim, they say. (See below.)

He used his previous estimate from our first move. After I told him the estimate was too high because we were not moving even half of our things, he gave me another estimate for three hours less. I told him again that the estimate was too high. He said it did not matter because I would be refunded the difference. We were moved on July 30, 2019. On July 29, 2019, my credit card was charged $1,227.08. The movers moved all our things in less than three hours. We figured with drive time, we would be charged for three hours of work (4 people, 1 truck). We were charged for four hours. When I asked about it, I was told by Connie that there is a four hour minimum. I told her that I knew nothing about a four hour minimum. I emailed Dave Helton on August 8, 2019, about it and his response was, "I'm sorry if our minimum charges were not made clear. Yes, Connie was correct the minimum for all moves is 4 hours. I will check to make sure your credit card was charged correctly." I followed up with another email asking how we can be charged for a minimum that was not discussed. I received no response so I emailed him again ten days later. His response: "Sorry for the slow response, I needed to get an answer from my GM, he was on vacation last week. Unfortunately, because the 4 hour minimum for all local moves is a legitimate Tariff charge, no refund will be given. I apologize if our minimum charges were not made clear." In my opinion, I should not be charged for a minimum that was never discussed. And we still have not been refunded the $359.78! We received an email that said it was processed, but my bank shows no such refund/transaction. This has been a terrible experience. Dave Helton has not been helpful at all. He never came to our house. He made it seem like it was no issue that the estimate was too high. He NEVER discussed any minimum charge with me. That extra hour charge is $210.00 plus taxes. Add that to the $359.78 that is still owed to us. Fry-Wagner owes us more than $569 and has done nothing about it.
