I needed to have existing custom cabinetry in an upscale home modified, and then to have the new carpentry refinished to match the quite distinct finish of the existing cabinetry. The cabinetry work wasn't complex, but it had to fit precisely which Jeromie nailed. The finishing was trickier, but Jeromie's finishing guy persisted thru a few applications to get it right. I suspect that we might have gotten some kind of job done for less money, but came away thinking we got quality work for a very reasonable price. Jeromie of Finishing Touches took our money in full, $2,300 and provided no work we could use. When we informed Yelp users of our experience, Jeromie threatened us to remove the review and photos. It appears our photos were removed from Yelp before. The photos accurately show what he left us with after taking our money and causing us repair work and replacement. We've worked with Jeromie on multiple projects now and have had a great experience on all of them. First he took what we call our "Harry Potter Closet" under our stairs and turned the space from basically an almost unusable are that we would just stash some boxes and a vacuum into an awesome pantry space that we can now store tons of stuff in. I had some very old stained glass windows that had rotten frames. I asked for a specific trim for my window casings. He saw the trim. I had it already installed on my door casings & baseboards. He came out to the garage to see the casings when he was on his way out. I sent a photo of the casings from the company I picked them out at that included the item number. At no time did he tell me or my husband he wasn't able to use them for whatever reason. What he installed was a plain window casing. My husband didn't notice when he ran to the vacant house to pay him. I came over later that night and was surprised to see that he didn't use the casings I picked out. My husband called him to let him know and he laughed at my husband. Basically said he never said he would use the casings that I had picked out (but he never said he wouldn't use them either). Then offered to fix them for an additional $1200. I don't get it. He gets two stars because they appear nicely done. It would be different if it was a case of miscommunication. For my money, that's like saying Usain Bolt (the eight time Olympic gold medalist who is often called "The Fastest Man Alive") is a sprinter.
