we Found this place after the first round of closures from the pandemic. Have been going consistently for almost two years. Last two times it's been ridiculous. Two hour wait for food a few weeks ago and people who order after us get their food and we're gone before ours. Then tonight they had two servers and a bartender.... Took forty Minutes to get tab. Would have stayed longer but service was way to poor. We only came because our son loves this place. I know staffing is a issue in the pandemic... but we are regulars and well known. Staffing isn't an excuse. I've been there when the bartender was also the waitress and taking care of the whole place and she did better than the three tonight. We will be taking our business elsewhere from now on. The wait, food and staff And drinks are all something we can find better elsewhere. Note to staff. When someone points out that horrible service after two years of no complaints listen. Don't give excuses. You are all a team! you can bus each other tables, get each other's table a drink or tab. you have potential. Use it. read more

Not sure what's going on with this place. We're locals and have been coming here fairly regularly for a few years. While the food is always good the service has taken a nosedive. Twice now we've walked out of an almost empty place without being waited on. The server appeared to be having too much fun chatting with the folks at the bar. The food has been consistent since the ownership changed. It is very good. They have a different special everyday, the menu is a good size, and the food is fresh. Today we had the cheeseburger basket special, potstickers, and wild rice soup. The soup was delicious, you could tell it was completely homemade. They offer chips instead of fries as a choice - it is the way to go, the chips are fresh cut potatoes. The craft beer choices rotate, they have about 15 different options at a time! The Finish Line is a Bar/Restaurant that's themed after racing. The decor is really kinda cool even if your not a racing fan. They have surprisingly good food and a very good Sunday Brunch. Their menu includes everything from burgers and sandwiches to steaks. Can be busy on Friday/Saturday nights and usually have some kind of entertainment, so if you're looking for a more quiet dinner go earlier, say before 7-8pm. Finish Line has a little bit of everything. The service and food tend to be good, but like others have mentioned sometimes its better than other times. What's great about this place is that it is both a restaurant AND a grill/bar. They have a nice restaurant with the same food but different atmosphere. The restaurant does not follow the race car theme, but rather is a nice area for an evening meal (white tablecloths, wine glasses, that kind of thing). Both areas are great and allows you to choose the atmosphere your event, since the bar and grill is more noisy and casual and the restaurant is a little more formal and much more quite. The food is great - try the cheese beer soup! It is amazing, I don't like any soup, and I don't even like cheese beer soup from other restaurants but it is truly great at Finish Line. read more

I love the line. Its a frickin highschool reunion whenever i go to this place. Service is great, pretty decent prices drink wise. They have pool tables and a neat lil race car theme. Friday and saturday nights are where its at! The Dj's, bartenders, servers, and security are all good people too. friendly. And fas, dunno what these other reviews are talkin about. But not only is there a pretty fun bar with dance floor (Small, but dance floor non-the-less) But it is actually a really good place to eat too! Alot of standard barfood, but also good meals and yes, amazing beer cheese soup. I love it. They have an Interesting twist on a few meals and sandwiches as well as burgers. Everything is worth a try. Only bad thing is Princeton is a small town so everyone knows everyone and fights do occur quite often on the busier nights. But other than that is a pretty kick ass bar. Let me start by saying our waitress was very good....but that's all that was good. We ordered a BLT and pan fried walleye. When the meal arrived they brought out a club sandwich which looked good to me, but not to my guest, it had to be sent back and I was almost done eating by the time he got the right order. My "pan fried" walleye was NOT pan fried it was deep fried, dry, and the worst walleye I've ever had anywhere. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! Went here for lunch today. It took well over three minutes to even get greeted by anyone. Ordered our drinks. Bloody marys were very small. Ordered a glass of water, and had to ask for a different one because the inside of the cup was horribly dirty. Floaties in my water is not my thing. She brings me back another glass of water, and the same thing happened. The food was decent, but I found a hair on the orange slice on my plate. On top of that the ranch dressing was basically like water. Would highly recommend going else where for lunch. read more

Basic bar food and a good bloody deal on Sunday's ($3.50 with beer chaser). However it was our table, one other and two folks at the bar and the one server/bartender couldn't keep up. Fries were interesting looking and tasty. I had the Porky's Revenge and my girlfriend had the bacon peanut butter burger. Both were delicious and no leftovers were had by either of us. My wife had a craving for a burger, so we thought we would give The Finish Line a try. We placed a take-out order and the whole process went perfectly. I got the "Porky's nightmare" sandwich and my wife got a cheeseburger. My sandwich had ham, bacon and pulled pork, and the flavor was great. My wife said her burger was great as well. Picking up the take out went smoothly, and everything was ready in a timely manner. If you are like us and haven't been to the Finish Line in a while, I recommend that you give it a try. We've been here twice now and I like it. I've heard a lot of negative stuff about the place, mostly about the staff but I got none of the things that were complained about. The first time with just me and my husband our server was a younger girl and she seemed new or maybe just flustered but she was very sweet and did a great job. The second time was in Mother's Day with my husband and three sons and our server was a younger male who was also really sweet. The food was good both times. I got a steak the first time that was like "meh" but I'm all fairness they had like two types of steak to offer and it's not a steak place. Like I got what I expected which was a dead cow part and it tasted just fine. On Mother's Day I ordered the buffalo wrap and yeah that thing was GOOD. Also my oldest son likes fish but they didn't have a fried fish option for a kids meal but the server managed to figure out something and the kid got his fish so that was fantastic. We'll be back. I went out to eat and have drinks with 8 people. Our service was terrible. Our waitress was super ditzy and forgot about us. It took about 20 minutues to get our first round of drinks and an additional 10 min after that until we were able to order. After we finally received our second round of drinks, my girlfriend's drink had a bug in it. We tried to get the attention of the waitress for at least 5 minutues and she ignored us. I finally went up to the bar to get a new drink and the bartender said "Oh it's only a fruit fly, we have those all the time." I asked him if he could at least make a new drink, which he did. Finally, we got our bill, and I asked the waitress if we could at least get the drink for free since she wasn't paying any attention to us, I had to go the bar myself about the bug being in the drink. She went and got the bartender, who came over to the table and was a major asshole about the bug in the drink. Apparently he didn't think it was a big deal and wanted to argue about it. With 8 people paying, and the service we had, you wouldn't think something like a free drink would be a huge deal, but apparently to this guy it was. Bottom line, service was terrible and I won't be going back there. read more

Been here multiple times, always a disappointment. This time, we waited about 15 minutes before going to find a waitress to get menus from because no one ever came to our table. Food took almost 40 minutes to come, which was very cold. My mom wings were way overdone. Don't waste your time or money :-) read more

Being disable they say that their wheelchair assessable, but handicap parking. Almost tripped on the big rips in the carpeting. The food was so-so,along with the service. read more

The hubby and I went here for lunch today and it was nothing less than amazing. Our server was great. The food was fantastic! Hubby had beef brisket sandwich. Probably the most tender meat ever and the sauce was outstanding. The fries here are one of a kind. They were delicious!! I'd recommend this place to everyone!! Our bill was only $21 with a chicken strip basket, beef brisket sandwich with fries and a Bloody Mary! The environment was great. There's also a mini arcade for the kids and booths across the dining room to be away from the bar. They have an all gated outside area as well. read more

I like to go to the finish line drink some beer and shoot the pool! I don't really like nascar but they put other stuff on too. Food was pretty good. I had pizza and some Coors Light. The atmosphere is super neat with the nascar/race car theme. Even the bathrooms are decorated with the theme! The service is usually really good. However, it does tend to get pretty noisy in here at times and the food is a hit or a miss. My husband and I just moved to Princeton and decided to try out the local restaurants. Drive by Finishline several times and thought it would be a good place to try. We both ordered burgers and soda. I had most of my soda gone before my meal came. The waitress never asked to refill it. When she brought our food, (which was delicious) she put it down walked away and never came back. The ketchup she brought us was empty, our pops never got refilled and another waitress seen I was a little upset and asked if she could take my card so we could leave. There was only a few tables for her to wait on. No reason for such bad service. read more
